Munster GAA Bursaries
GAA National Bursaries scheme (€750 per year) for students attending Higher Education colleges
In line with changes to the National Scheme Munster GAA wish to announce the following changes to the 2012/2013 Student Bursary Scheme
• Amount Payable will now be €750 in total, to be payed in two equal instalments of €375
• The number of bursaries available will increase from 72 to 96
• Bursaries are allocated to the following Third Level Colleges in the province
Mary Immaculate College, U.L, LIT, Tralee IT, U.C.C, C.I.T, LIT Tipperary, St Patricks College Thurles, W.I.T
• Five Bursaries will be set aside for students who are resident in the province but in College outside of Munster.
Application will be open to members of the Association who are attending a full-time Higher Education course (except those who hold another GAA-related or college scholarship/bursary) and who are active participants in their Higher Education club. Candidates may be awarded bursaries in successive years (limit of two years only), subject to passing exams and satisfactory evidence of a significant contribution to the college club.
The application form can be downloaded from this site or obtained from any of the College Clubs. This completed form must be returned to the College GAA Games Development Administrator by 12th Oct 2011. Students in College outside of the province must return the form to Munster GAA,Áras Mumhan, newcastle, Castletroy, Co Limerick by 19th Oct 2012

Additional Criteria Munster – National Bursaries Scheme
Applicants for bursaries in the province of Munster must fulfill the following additional criteria to be considered:
Be a member of a GAA Club unit in one of the six Munster counties, either in a playing or administrative capacity
Attend a Third Level College within the province of Munster
Bursary Applications will be reviewed by a Provincial sub-committee comprised of representatives nominated by the Council and representatives of the College Management Staff and the college GAA Development Officer.
Responsibility for awarding of Bursaries rests with the Provincial sub-committee. Their decision shall be final and binding and there will be no recourse to any arbitration by an unsuccessful applicant.
Bursaries will be paid in two installments of €500 each on written application by the college and subject to satisfactory performance by the Applicant. Criteria and qualifications for bursaries shall be reviewed by the Council from time to time. Each bursary shall be reviewed each year and all recipients must re-apply every year
