2011 BORD GAIS ENERGY MUNSTER GAA AWARDS

The 2011 Bord Gáis Energy Munster GAA Awards took place on Saturday evening December 3rd at the Malton Hotel, Killarney in front of a large attendance. RTE’s Eileen Dunne acted as MC on the evening and speakers includes Sean Walsh (Munster GAA Chairman) and John Mullins (CEO of Bord Gáis Eireann). Gerald McCarthy (Hurling Hall of Fame winner) spoke on behalf of the recipients while former Kerry footballer Darragh O’Se was the special guest speaker.

The full list of winners of the Bord Gáis Energy Munster GAA Awards for 2011 are as follows:

o Hall of Fame Award Hurling – Gerald McCarthy, Cork

o Hall of Fame Award Football – Paudie Lynch, Kerry

o Senior Hurling Award – Lar Corbett, Tipperary

o Senior Football Award – Declan O’Sullivan, Kerry

o Special Merit Award – Jerry Ring, Tipperary

o Media Award – Michael Scanlon, C103

o Referee Award – Eddie Cunningham, Waterford

o Education Award – Willie Dowling, Kerry

o Manager of the Year – David Power, Tipperary

o Distinguished Service to GAA Award – Gerry Bennis, Limerick

o Under 21 Hurling Award – Aidan Walsh, Cork

o Under 21 Football Award – Ciaran Sheehan, Cork

o Minor Hurling Award – Tony Kelly, Clare

o Minor Football Award – TJ Ryan, Tipperary

o Camogie Award – Jill Horan, Cork

o Ladies Football Award – Deirdre O’Reilly, Cork

o Intermediate Hurling Award – Patrick Kelly, Clare

o Handball Award – Catriona Casey, Cork

o Junior Football – Andrew O’Sullivan, Cork

o Club of the Year – Ná Piarsaigh, Limerick

o Supporter of the Year – Cyril Kavanagh, Cork
