Clare defeated Waterford by 1-19 to 1-3 in the Munster Under 17 Football Competition on Monday at Dr. Morris Park Thurles.
Clare raced in to 1-5 to 0-0 lead after 18 minutes before Waterford scored a goal. Clare regained their composure to finish the first half strongly and led by 1-8 to 1-0 at the interval. The third quarter was the most competitive of the game with Waterford adding 3 points to Clare’s 5 in this period. However, Clare finished the stronger to round off a comprehensive victory by a 16 point margin.
