The 2026 Munster Scór Sinsir Finals took place in Newport, Co. Tipperary on Sunday, March 22nd.

Five counties qualify for All-Ireland Scór Sinsir Finals

The Munster Scór Sinsir Final held on Sunday 22nd of March in Newport, Co. Tipperary saw brilliant talent take to the stage where cultural fare surfaced in a feast of music, song, drama, dance and quizzing with eight clubs from five counties now going forward to the All-Ireland Final. Máirín Nic Craith of Caisleán Nua was an excellent Bean an Tí. Tom Herlihy, former Munster Scór Chairperson was also acknowledged for his pand contribution to Munster Scó

The prizes were presented by Tadhg Ó Murchú, Cathaoirleach Comhairle na Mumhan and Máiréad Uí Fhaoláin, Cathaoirleach Scór na Mumhan.

Four counties claimed the coveted provincial silverware with the Rebels leading the way claiming four Munster crowns with Sráid a Mhuilinn, a double for Raonaithe Cairbre and near West Cork neighbours Naomh Séamus collecting silverware for Corcaigh. The Premier sampled success through S.C. Breacháin’s double triumph. There was also titles heading over the border to the Treaty thanks to Cumhra Mainistir and the Banner took their first Munster Scór Sinsir title since 2023 through Cill Mhuire Uí Breacháin. Lios a Phúca (Ciarraí) finished in 2nd Place in Tráth na gCeist, ensurng the Kingdom will be represented in Castlebar and Maighean Teampaill na Tuaithe (Tiobraid Árann) booked their place for the All-Ireland Tráth na gCeist competition following their top three finish.

An excellent day’s entertainment was provided by all competitors and the audience most certainly enjoyed the spectacle. We wish our Munster representatives the very best of luck as they go forward to the All-Ireland Scór Sinsir Final on Saturday 25th of April at the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar.

Tráth na gCeist – Babhta 1 commences at 12 noon in Newport Boys NS, V94 RX20, with the stage competitions getting underway at 2pm in Newport Community Centre, V94 EY72.

Máirín Nic Craith of Caisleán Nua will compere the day’s proceedings as Bean an Tí.

Tickets will be for sale on the day at the venue.

The Munster Champions crowned on the day will go forward to represent the province at Craobh Scór Sinsir na hÉireann, which will be held on Saturday, April 25th in the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

Coiste Scór na Mumhan wish the very best of luck to all competitors in advance of Sunday’s finals. Supporters are encouraged to bring their county flags and colours and enjoy the programme.
