Tipperary v Cork
What a prospect on the opening weekend!
Tipperary, All-Ireland champions last year, take on Cork, last season’s Munster champions, in what promises to be a fascinating Championship encounter.
Adding extra spice to the contest is the memory of last year’s All-Ireland Final when, after trailing by six points at half-time, Tipperary produced a remarkable second-half display to outscore the Rebels by 3-14 to 0-2.
It was a stunning turnaround by a Tipperary side that had suffered heavy defeats to Cork earlier in the season — losing by fifteen points in the Munster round-robin and by ten points in the Allianz League Final.
Last Five Championship Meetings
- 2025: Tipperary 3-27 Cork 1-18 (All-Ireland Final)
