Munster Crowned All-Ireland Wheelchair Hurling and Camogie Champions for an Eighth Time.

Munster were crowned All-Ireland Wheelchair Hurling Champions yesterday in Athboy Community School, producing a superb display of determination and resilience to capture the M. Donnelly Interprovincial Championship title for the eighth time.

The day began with a setback as Ulster claimed victory in Munster’s opening game on a scoreline of 4-4 to 2-0. However, true to character, Munster responded magnificently in their second outing, defeating Leinster by 4-2 to 4-0 to secure their place in the All-Ireland Final.

With the championship on the line, Munster produced their best performance of the day in a thrilling final against Ulster. Goals proved decisive as Munster emerged victorious by 5-1 to 3-3, reclaiming the title and bringing the M. Donnelly Cup back to Munster.

Captain Maurice Noonan proudly accepted the trophy on behalf of his teammates following another memorable success for the province. The victory was a fitting reward for a panel that showed tremendous courage, teamwork and perseverance throughout the competition.
