Kerry defeated Cork by 1-11 to 1-9 to capture the Munster Junior Football Championship title at Pairc Ui Chaoimh on Wednesday evening. Kerry led by 1-4 to 0-3 at the interval thanks to a goal from Alan O’Sullivan. Kerry extended their lead to six points after 40 minutes before a penalty goal from David Goold brought Cork back within reach but the Kingdom held out for a two point victory.
