Camogie All-Star Nominations announced
The nominations for the 2009 Camogie All Stars in association with O’Neill’s were announced today with All-Ireland champions Cork being rewarded with 12 nominations. From the other Munster counties, Tipperary (3), Clare (2) and Limerick (1) are also included.
Cork SHC Final – Sarsfields v Newtownshandrum
Newtownshandrum defeated Sarsfields by 3-22 to 1-12 in the Evening Echo Sponsored Cork County Hurling Finals on Sunday October 11th.
Clare SFC Final – Kilmurry-Ibrickane v St Senans
Kilmurry-Ilbrickane retained the Clare senior football championship title for the first time in their history yesterday at Cusack Park, where they came from behind to see off a tough challenge from St Senan’s.
Gala All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship Final Replay – Cork v Galway
Galway defeated Cork by 3-10 to 1-5 in the Gala All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship Final Replay on Saturday October 10th at MacDonagh Park Nenagh.
Munster Camogie Senior and Junior Club Championship dates confirmed
The dates for the Munster Camogie Senior and Junior Club Championship have been confirmed.
Ladies Football All-Star nominations
Twelve of Cork’s five-in-a-row side have been named in the 2009 Ladies Football All Star nominations. Clare (3) and Tipperary (1) were the other Munster counties to receive nominations.
Launch of GAA Games Development Conference 2009
Some of the top names in Gaelic Games management and coaching will be involved in the GAA’s annual National Games Development Conference – “Optimising Playing Performance – Nurturing a culture of Skill and Will” – which will take place on Friday November 20th and Saturday November 21st, in Croke Park.

Limerick lost to Antrim by 3-10 to 2-8 in the TG4 Ladies Football Junior All-Ireland Final on Sunday in Croke Park.
