Munster Wheelchair Hurling Camogie Club in conjunction with Munster GAA are extending an open invitation to anyone who would like to join us this Saturday 29th of June for the Munster Round of the Interprovincial Wheelchair Hurling/Camogie League.

Venue:- Tailteann Hall. Mary Immaculate College, Limerick.
🔵 Junior Blitz starts at 9:30
🔵 Senior Games begin at 11:00
Some quick facts about Wheelchair Hurling / Camogie
Q1. What is Wheelchair Hurling / Camogie?
Answer – Ground hurling, played by Wheelchair users.
Q2. How old is the sport?
Answer – Wheelchair Hurling / Camogie was ‘invented’ in 1998 in a Dublin Special Needs school, by school Principal, Tim Maher.
Q3. How many players are involved?
Answer – Teams are 6 a side, made up of: 2 Forwards, 1 Midfielder, 2 Backs and 1 Goal keeper.
Q4. Does the game have zones?
Answer – Yes, there are three zones.
1. Attackers and Defenders must stay in their appropriate zones.
2. Midfielders can travel in both the attacking and defensive zones.
3. The Goal keepers are the only players allowed in the goal keeping zones.
