The 2022 Munster GAA Awards took place on Saturday December 17th at the Hotel Minella Clonmel.
Munster GAA Awards – Sean O’Shea named Footballer of the Year
Kerry star Sean O’Shea has been named Munster Footballer of the year for 2022 while Waterford’s Karen McGrath is the Munster Ladies Footballer of the Year. Aidan O’Connor (Limerick) is the Under 20 Hurler of the Year while Limerick’s John Kiely is the Manager of the Year.
Munster GAA Awards – Diarmaid Byrnes named Hurler of the Year
Limerick’s Diarmaid Byrnes is the Munster Senior Hurler of the Year while Ballygunner of Waterford are the Munster Club of the Year. Other winners include Clare’s Doireann Murphy is the Camogie player of the year while the Minor Players of the Year are Tom Delaney (Tipperary) and Bryan Hayes (Cork) in Hurling and Football respectively.
