Cork striving to reach Tipp’s level – Jimmy Barry Murphy

Tuesday 19 June 2012

Cork manager Jimmy Barry Murphy admits his side aren’t quite at the level of Kilkenny and Tipperary but thinks the tide might be turning for his young Rebels.

The Leesiders defeated Tipp in the League semi final and despite a heavy beating from the Cats in the final, JBM says he is happy to have found some new players during the spring campaign.

The Cork manager says the return of Lar Corbett to Tipp is a blow to the Rebels but is encouraged by what he has seen from his charges in the run up to the ‘el classico’ of Munster clashes.
