Wicklow had a man of the match performance from Tony Hannon as he scored some spectacular points and a peach of a goal after 25 minutes and went in at the break leading 1-5 to 0-6. Limerick were in more trouble ten minutes into the second half when Leighton Glynn scored a goal. Limerick were reduced to 14 men after corner-back Lorcan Dwyer got a straight red card, while just before the end Wicklow’s Peadar Burke was dismissed after picking up a second yellow card.
