Munster Under 21 Football Championship Final

Kerry 0-15 Tipperary 2-7 – Kerry won their first Munster Under 21 Football title since 2002 thanks to a 0-15 to 2-7 victory over Tipperary at Ardfinnan on Saturday. The sides were level at the interval and despite a goal from Sean Carey for Tipperary in the second half, Kerry proved the better side as they won out by 2 points. 2008 Munster Senior Inter-County Championships

The dates and venues for the Munster Inter-County Hurling and Football Championships at all grades for 2008 have been announced. Also, the dates and venues for the Munster Club Championship to be played in November and December have been confirmed.

Munster Minor Football Championship

The first round of the Munster Minor Football Championship takes place this evening with two matches down for decision. Defending champions Cork play Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds Limerick while Kerry travel to Ennis to take on Clare. Both matches throw-in at 6:30pm and there will be extra time if necessary.

The Munster Minor Football Championship game between Tipperary and Waterford scheduled for this evening at 6:30pm in Dungarvan has been postponed and will now take place on Wednesday April 16th.

National Hurling League Play-off

Cork defeated Waterford by 2-17 to 1-19 in a play off to decide who finished second in Division 1A of the National Hurling League. As a result, Cork will now play Limerick in the National Hurling League Quarter-Final while Waterford will take on Tipperary – both Quarter-Finals will take place on Sunday next, April 6th.

Munster Coaching Conference 2008

The 2008 Munster Coaching Conference will take place on Saturday, April 5th from 9:30am to 5:00pm at the Cork Institute of Technology. The cost is €50 per person which includes lunch and a coaching pack. The conference will give coaches, managers, mentors, teachers and volunteers the opportunity to see and hear first hand “best practice methods” in relation to a host of very relevant and varied topics in the development of Gaelic Games today and in the future.
