Ladies Football All-Star nominations
Twelve of Cork’s five-in-a-row side have been named in the 2009 Ladies Football All Star nominations. Clare (3) and Tipperary (1) were the other Munster counties to receive nominations.

All-Star Hurling Award nominations revealed
Munster counties have received a total of 23 All-Star Hurling nominations broken down as follows – Tipperary (13), Waterford (5), Limerick (3), Cork (2).

Kerry overcame a poor start to thoroughly outplay Cork and claim their sixth GAA All-Ireland Football title this decade.
Gala All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship Final – Cork v Galway
A GOAL at the death from Maria Walsh saw Cork live to fight another day, dramatically finishing on par with Galway in the Gala All Ireland intermediate championship final, 2-9 to 0-15, at the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday.
Gala All Ireland Senior Camogie Final – Cork v Kilkenny
Cork secured their 24th Gala All Ireland senior title today in Croke Park with a dogged performance overcoming Ann Downey’s Kilkenny on a scoreline of 0-15 to 0-7.

The Munster Cities U-10 Hurling Blitz provides an ideal opportunity for coaches to assess team performance against ‘foreign’ opposition and also will give clubs an opportunity to make new contacts to play friendly games and blitzes against in the future.
All-Ireland Under 16 Hurling Championship
The launch of this year’s Tipperary Supporters Club All Ireland Under 16 hurling championship was presided over by Christy Cooney, Uachtarán, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael at the County Tipperary Golf and Country Club, Dundrum on Friday night May 15th. This annual inter-county festival of hurling is in its 22nd year and twelve counties will be taking part on the weekend of 29th and 30th August.
Tony Forristal Under 14 Hurling tournament
Tipperary defeated Waterford by 3-7 to 2-2 in the Tony Forristal Under 14 hurling tournament final played on Sunday.
TG4 Ladies All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Semi-final – Cork v Mayo
Cork remain on course for a fifth successive TG4 All-Ireland Ladies senior football championship crown after booking their place in the September 27 final on Saturday.
All-Ireland IHC Final – Cork v Kilkenny
Cork defeated Kilkenny by 2-23 to 0-16 in the All-Ireland Intermediate Hurling Championship Final on Saturday in Fraher Field Dungarvan.

The 14th. Annual Carrigdhoun/Munster Fe 15 Hurling Competition takes place on Saturday August 29th. with all games taking place in the Carrigaline GAA Grounds.
