The Cork County Championship Football Launch will take place on Tuesday April 26th.

On Wednesday April 27th 2011 at the Kilmurry Lodge Hotel in Limerick, Munster GAA signed a contract with Griffin Brothers Contracting Limited to build a new Headquarters to house the officers and staff of Munster GAA at Castletroy, Limerick.

Waterford defeated Tipperary by 2-16 to 1-13 in the Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship First Round on Wednesday at Walsh Park Waterford.

Clare defeated Kerry by 6-24 to 1-8 in the Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship First Round on Wednesday at Austin Stack Park Tralee.

Limerick defeated Cork by 2-14 to 0-12 in the Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship First Round on Wednesday at the Gaelic Grounds Limerick.

Kerry defeated Meath by 1-20 to 1-17 in the Christy Ring Cup on Saturday at Austin Stack Park Tralee.

Limerick defeated Clare by 4-12 to 2-13 in the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 Final on Saturday at Cusack Park Ennis.

Cork defeated Kerry by 0-25 to 2-6 in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship Semi-Final 1st Playoff on Saturday at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The Munster Inter Divisional Under 16 Hurling Blitzes took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend on April 30th with the semi-finals on May 2nd.

St Finbarr’s GAA Club in Cork played host to the media event which officially launched the 2011 GAA Football Championship.
