Cork defeated the Waterford Institute of Technology by 4-16 to 1-8 in the quarter final of the Waterford Crystal Cup Senior Hurling competition on Saturday at Pairc Ui Rinn.

35 goals were scored in the 2012 Waterford Crystal Cup competition over 11 matches (an average of 3.2 goals per match).
