Torch Parade to Semple Stadium – 125th Anniversary Celebrations

The Torch Parade to Semple Stadium from the Square will commence at 2.15pm arriving in the Stadium after the presentation of the Minor trophy.

It will be carried by former hurlers from all the Munster Counties – Christy Walsh (Kerry), Eamonn Grimes (Limerick), David Duggan, (Waterford), Jimmy Smyth (Clare), Teddy McCarthy (Cork) – with Jimmy Doyle of Thurles Sarsfields and Tipperary fame carrying it into the Stadium between the minor and senior game for presentation to the Chairman of the Munster Council, Jimmy O’Gorman

3.00p.m. Torch arrives at Semple Stadium (Old Stand)

3.15p.m. Torch brought into the Semple Stadium by Jimmy Doyle and handed to Jimmy O’Gorman, Chairman Munster GAA. He lights 6 mini torches which will be held by the Chairmen of the 6 Munster County Boards
