Thurles Sarsfields defeated Drom & Inch by 1-21 to 2-15 in the 2012 Tipperary Senior Hurling Final on Sunday at Semple Stadium.

The County Intermediate hurling final will be an all North Division affair with Ballina taking on Silvermines at 1.15pm at Semple Stadium next Sunday, October 14. The referee will be Paddy Ivors of Ballingarry. Silvermines defeated St, Mary’s Clonmel by 5 19 to 0-15 and Ballina defeated Sean Treacy’s by 1-19 to 1-10 in the semi-finals on Saturday last. Silvermines are seeking their second county title at this grade, having previously won in 1999 while Ballina are seeking their fist title. The winners will take on the Clare representatives, Ruan, at a Clare venue in the Munster club intermediate hurling championship on Sunday October 28.

A Wayne Cully goal in the 9th minute helped Sarsfields to a 1-9 to 0-9 interval lead.
