Limerick defeated Waterford by 3-8 to 0-12 in the Munster Under 17 Football Competition Shield Final on Monday October 27th at the Gaelic Grounds Limerick.

Limerick 3-8 Waterford 0-12
Three second-half goals, two from Richard Hayes, who also scored two points, earned Limerick the U17 Shield after the sides were level three times inside the opening 21 minutes.
Waterford had the opening three points and they led 0-6 to 0-5 at the interval. But Hayes struck the first goal after 37 minutes and it was 1-8 to 0-9 when Limerick had further goals by Hayes and substitute Luke Cardy to wrap up the win. David Looby scored seven of Waterford’s points, with Shane O’Meara getting three.
