Kerry 3-12 Limerick 1-6
Wednesday July 07 2010
A goal after only 30 seconds by Michael Murphy gave Kerry the perfect start in the Munster Junior football final against Limerick at Newcastle West last night. Michael O’Donoughue and Garry Sayers added Kerry points before Tommy Butler had Limerick’s first point after eight minutes. Kerry got a second goal through Brendan Poff and while Ray Lynch goaled after 28 minutes to give the home side a lifeline, the Kingdom led 2-6 to 1-3 at the break. Limerick never looked like recovering and Alan O’Sullivan’s goal just after the interval killed the contest.
