Allianz Hurling League Division 2 – Laois 3-16 Clare 3-13

In Allianz Hurling League Division Two, a late goal by Willie Hyland gave Laois a 3-16 to 3-13 win over Clare at O’Moore Park.

Laois were 1-9 to 0-6 clear at the break, their goal coming from John Brophy after four minutes and Conor McGrath raising a green flag for the Banner. Goals from Darach Honan and Jonathan Clancy had Clare in the driving seat in the second half, before Owen Holohan cut the gap to two points with ten minutes left. However, Laois bounced back from two successive defeats when Hyland pounced on a Joe Fitzpatrick ball to force home the winning goal.
