From the Irish Times newspaper
AFL DIVISION THREE Cavan 0-16 Tipperary 0-13: CAVAN SEEMED set to win easily but Tipperary notched the final six points to push the game to the wire at Kingspan/Breffni Park. Points from Tipp’s Brian Coen (17th) and Barry Grogan two minutes later had the sides level, 0-3 to 0-3, before Ronan Flanagan popped up to ease the hosts into a 0-7 to 0-4 interval lead. Cavan substitutes Gareth Smith and Eugene Keating added points but the hosts lost David Givney to a second yellow card in the 54th minute. Another point from Keating made it 0-16 to 0-7 while a point from Hugh Coghlan put just a goal between the sides but the score eluded Tipp.
