St Lachtains (Kilkenny)  defeated South Liberties (Limerick) by 1-14 to 0-14 in the AIB GAA Hurling All Ireland Intermediate Club Championship on Sunday in Sean Treacy Park Tipperary Town.

St Lachtain’s of Kilkenny had to fight hard to beat South Liberties at Sean Treacy Park Tipperary yesterday.

A two-score blast, a point by sub Paul Guinan followed by a goal from his brother Eoin in the 38th and 39th minute, gave the Kilkenny champions the break after good play from ‘Liberties.

The losers went in at the break 0-7 to 0-5 behind after Brian Slattery had scored all their scores from frees.

After the Guinan brothers cameo, St Lachtain’s nosed 1-9 to 0-8 in front and held on for victory.
