AIB Munster GAA Football Junior Club Championship Final – Dromid Pearses (Kerry) 0-16 Kildangan (Tipperary) 1-4
Curran wraps up Dromid stroll
Report from the Irish Independent newspaper
Dromid Pearses 0-16, Kildangan 1-4
Kerry star Declan O’Sullivan did not have to perform any heroics as Dromid Pearses from South Kerry eased to glory against Tipperary champions Kildangan. Dromid led by 0-6 to 0-2 at the interval and any chance Kildangan had disappeared four minutes into the second half, when their corner-back Martin Minehan was red-carded. However, they did close the gap to just two points in the 41st minute after a goal from Eoin Gleeson and a Darragh Egan free. Dromid then went on an 0-8 to 0-1 run in the final quarter with midfielder Thomas Curran kicking the last five unanswered points from frees.

Odds and Ends
Kerry’s representatives have won 10 consecutive matches in this competition dating back to 2008.
Prior to Kildangan’s two victories to qualify for this year’s final, Tipperary’s representatives had recorded just one victory from nine attempts since the competition began back in 2003.
Kildangan scored 1-9 in their Quarter-Final victory over Sean Finns (Limerick) and went a point better in the semi-final, scoring 1-10 in the Semi-Final against Sliabh gCua (Waterford). What odds Kildangan scoring 1-11 in the Munster Final?
