Impact of extension of Government restriction timelines and organisation of GAA Special Congress
The Association can confirm that club activity remains suspended until May 5th. The Senior inter-county championships, scheduled to begin in May, will be postponed until further clarity on the current situation is available.

2019 MacNamee Awards announced
The winners of the 2019 MacNamee Awards have been confirmed by the GAA.
The GAA National Communication and Media Awards are named after the late Pádraig MacNamee, former President of the GAA, Chairman of the GAA Commission (1969-1971) and member of the RTÉ authority.

All-Ireland Final Referee Sean Hayes RIP
Sean was Secretary of Arravale Rovers when he took charge of the 1952 All Ireland Senior Football Final between Cavan and Meath which ended in a draw. He also officiated the replay which was won by Cavan.

The GAA’s Head of Games Administration, Feargal McGill, has said the Association still hopes to complete the All-Ireland Championships as scheduled this year.
Latest GAA update on Covid-19 – March 25th 2020
We previously advised that, until March 29th, games and training were suspended, club gyms were to close, and Player Injury Fund cover was suspended. Please be advised that, in line with recent government announcements, these measures and closures are now extended to Sunday April 19 inclusive, at which stage arrangements will be reviewed.

Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Championship Update
The Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Championship is scheduled to commence on Wednesday April 8th. With all GAA activity suspended at present until March 29th, the Munster CCC (in consultation with all Munster Counties) have agreed that when the current restrictions are lifted, counties will be given ample time to prepare their teams.
