Páirc Réigiúnach na gColáistí, Charleville

Munster GAA and Cork Co. VEC jointly manage lands that have been developed to provide a Regional centre dedicated as a colleges GAA playing facility.

Located at Dr. Mannix College, Charleville the centre is strategically located in the geographical centre of the Province of Munster.
Plans are in place to provide ball-stop netting and pitch fencing which will complete this phase of the development leaving a full-sized sand carpet pitch fully protected and serviced by state of the art dressing rooms, and significant off-street car parking. Floodlights, viewing embankments and spectator stands are also envisaged in later phases.

The development has been well received in the province obtaining the backing of all school bodies, county and divisional boards in the area.

Today Munster GAA Chairman, Jimmy O’Gorman, will present Cork Co. VEC CEO, Barra O’Briain with a cheque for €76,500 towards the development at Páirc Réigiúnach na gColáistí.
