Limerick GAA Brain of the Year 2013
Friends of ’73 is a charity set up by a group of gentlemen with a keen interest in honoring the All Ireland winning hurling team of 1973 while also raising much needed funds for three Limerick Charities namely Milford Care Centre, the Lisnagry association and MS Limerick.
The group have been active since Christmas 2012 and have run various fund raising drives & events up to now, generating huge momentum among the many gaels all across the city & county Limerick GAA circles.
The latest Fund raising initiative by the group is a table quiz seeking out Limerick’s best GAA Brains. Do you know your Limerick GAA history?? Are you the person or indeed know a group of people with that razor sharp mind for remembering all the interesting stats and facts around the many, many Limerick hurling & football players & teams of the past 128 years of the GAA?? Well if you & three of your buddies are up for this challenge the Woodlands House Hotel Adare on Thursday April 4th @ 9pm is the place to be.
Teams of four are E40 with some fabulous prizes on offer & Liam Aherne of Live 95FM will host the evening that will be a most enjoyable one for all Limerick Gaels in the weeks leading up to the Limerick Hurlers & Footballers league finals appearances. All funds raised will go to the three designated charities of Friends of ’73 namely Milford Care Centre, MS Limerick & the Lisnagry association.
