Munster Referees Training

As the Munster Club Championships are in full swing and all clubs involved are fine tuning their preparations, so too are the match officials that are officiating.

The Munster Panel of Match Officials meet every Tuesday evening in Mallow GAA Complex and are put through their fitness programme under the help & supervision of Dr Damien Young and Keith Hennessy of the SportLab Tus College Thurles.

They also recently held a session in the SportsLab, Tus College Thurles for a session in match preparation, injury prevention and recovery, and nutrition training for the busy season.
Most intercounty match officials have, since the Split Season has become the GAA calendar, noticed that they are going from one season to the next and all games are of the highest of importance, so they need to be at their peak most of the year, not unlike our players.

Munster GAA Referees Committee wish to thank Dr Damien Young, Keith Hennessy, SportsLab Thurles, Mallow GAA Complex and Munster Council for their continued support in making sure that our match officials are prepared properly for this busy season.
