Munster GAA are delighted to partner with Munster Camogie once again this year to provide curtain-raisers for some of our Munster Senior Hurling Championship games.
A total of 3 Senior Camogie curtain-raisers are planned, over the course of April and May (details below).
Speaking following confirmation of the curtain-raiser fixtures, Munster GAA Chairman Ger Ryan said “On behalf of Munster GAA, I am delighted that once again a number of Camogie games will be played as part of our Munster Championship programme of games in the coming months. The addition of several Camogie and Ladies Football games as curtain-raisers to our Munster Senior Hurling and Football Championship games has worked very well in recent years and I have no doubt the inclusion of further games this year will continue to enhance the bond between our respective bodies as we strive towards integration in 2027.”
Munster Camogie Chairperson Christine Ryan on the confirmation of the curtain-raisers in the coming weeks said “Munster Council Camogie are once again delighted that Munster GAA are providing us with Double headers for our Munster Senior Camogie Championship for 2024. This will add to the profile of our game as it is a huge boost for our Camogie Players. We at Munster Camogie appreciate this opportunity that Munster GAA have given us.”

Tá áthas ar CLG na Mumhan dul i bpáirt le Cumann Camógaíochta na Mumhan arís i mbliana chun tús chur leis an aicsean mar chuid de Chluichí Sinsear Iomána na Mumhan.
Tá 3 chluiche Camógaíochta Sinsear san iomlán beartaithe, i rith mhí Aibreáin agus mhí na Bealtaine (sonraí thíos).
Ag labhairt dó i ndiaidh na gcluichí a dheimhniú, dúirt Cathaoirleach CLG na Mumhan, Gearóid Ó Riain, “Thar ceann CLG na Mumhan, tá áthas orm go n-imreofar roinnt cluichí Camógaíochta arís mar chuid de chlár cluichí Chraobhchomórtas na Mumhan sna míonna amach romhainn. D’eirigh go h-an mhaith leis na cluichí Camógaíochta agus Peile na mBan a cuireadh ar siúl roimh chluichí Sinsear Iomána agus Peile na Mumhan le blianta beaga anuas agus níl aon amhras orm ach go forbrófar ar an nasc seo idir ár n-eagraíochtaí arís i mbliana agus muid ag iarraidh bheith mar Aon Chumann Amháin faoi 2027.”
Bhí an méid seo a leanas le rá ag Cathaoirleach Camógaíochta na Mumhan, Christine Ryan, nuair a deimhníodh na cluichí sna seachtainí amach romhainn: “Tá áthas ar Chumann Camógaíochta na Mumhan arís go bhfuil Double Headers nó dhá chluiche i ndiaidh a chéile á gcur ar fáil dár gCraobhchomórtas Sinsear Camógaíochta don bhliain 2024. Cuirfidh sé seo le próifíl ár gcluiche mar go bhfuil sé ina spreagadh ollmhór dár n-imreoirí Camógaíochta. Is mór againn an deis seo a thug CLG na Mumhan dúinn.”
