Allen Labels Tipperary As Hot Favourites for Munster Semi-Final Tie
Although Limerick enjoyed a good league campaign in Division 1B manager John Allen still feels his team are the underdogs when they play Tipperary in the Munster Hurling Championship semi final on Sunday.
Limerick remained unbeaten in their five league games as they took nine points from a possible ten before losing to Dublin and missing out on promotion by a single point in the league final.
Allen, who won All-Ireland titles at hurling and football as a player with Cork as well as managing his own county to the ultimate hurling glory in 2005, feels that it is imperative that Limerick continue to show the same kind of physicality in their game that they showed last year when reaching an All-Ireland quarter final.
