The 2012 GAA Handball All-Star awards for Munster have now been released and certainly make an eye-catching line-up of stars following an outstanding year both on and off the courts of play.

After securing his first All Ireland senior medal, in winning the All Ireland Senior Hardball crown back in May 2012, a former ‘national young player award winner’, Seamus O’Carroll has claimed the Male player of the year award for Munster for the year. Cork’s Catriona Casey, a previous winner of both the National youth and young player of the year award, has had another remarkable season on the courts again and in winning the All Ireland senior 60×30 title in addition to a host of All Ireland and 3 world titles, the Ballydesmond star is the Ladies player of the year in the southern province.

Club of the Year award in Munster heads to Limerick for the second year running as the highly successful Hospital Club takes the top accolade in 2012.

Overall in Munster for 2012, Limerick have most to celebrate with 5 provincial all star awards with both Cork and Kerry claiming 3 apiece, Clare with 2 awards and Tipperary on 1.

The full Munster All-Star Award winners list for 2012 is listed below and all will now go forward to represent their province as nominees for the National Award on Saturday 9th February 2013 in Croke Park.

Tickets for the event are now on sale for the Awards, costing just €50 each, for an event that is set to provide an outstanding night of entertainment, television footage and very special guests. It should also be pointed out that with a very large number of nominees and limited capacity, tickets will operate on a first come first served basis and anyone looking to attend the night would be advised to contact the office as soon as you can.
