Strong League campaign will stand to us – Ger Cunningham

Cork selector Ger Cunningham feels the Rebel’s tough league fixtures will stand them in good stead as they prepare to take on defending Munster champions Tipperary this Sunday in Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

Cork beat the Premier in the league semi final before falling to Kilkenny in the decider but Cunningham is glad of the experience saying the Rebel’s youngsters needed to understand the level of intensity of Brian Cody’s men.

Jimmy Barry Murphy’s side are reporting a clean bill of health, with the exception of Niall McCarthy and throw in Leeside is at 4pm
