Tipperary set sights on a long summer
Tipperary aim to put a disappointing league campaign behind them with a home opener against Limerick in Thurles. The last time these two sides met in the Munster Championship back in 2007 Limerick ended on top in extra time of the third game winning by 3 points.
Since then the Munster rivals faced off in the 2009 All Ireland Semi Final which saw the Premier County thrash the Shannonsiders 6-19 to 2-7 with a hat-trick from Lar Corbett who has recently re-entered the fray but is unavailable for the encounter.
Manager Declan Ryan says that the aim of the county is to once again reach All Ireland success.
