At a meeting of Comhairle na Mumhan CLG held in Áras Mumhan on Wednesday September 2nd the appointment of Enda McGuane as Deputy Chief Executive Officer/ Assistant Secretary of Munster GAA was ratified by the Council members.
The Cathaoirleach Seamus Ó Gormáin and the Council members welcomed this appointment and look forward to Enda making a positive contribution in the delivery of Council objectives and policies.
Enda hails from Cooraclare Co Clare and is a member of a well known GAA family. A former inter-county Footballer Enda was a member of the Clare Senior Football Panel from 1997 until 2001. During that time Clare Senior Footballers annexed the McGrath Cup and reached the Munster Senior Football Final in 2000. Previously, Enda had been a member of Clare Football panels from Under 14 through to Junior. Having retired from Senior Inter-county Football in 2001 Enda again joined the Junior Football County Panel in 2002.
Enda served as an Officer in the Irish Army for 14 years and held posts both in Ireland and Overseas. Following his army career he successfully held management positions in both the Public and Private sectors. He brings vast experience and knowledge to his new position and will be a welcome and positive addition to the Munster GAA staff.
The Cathaoirleach and Council members paid a glowing tribute to the outgoing Deputy Chief Executive Officer Daniel Nelligan and wished him well in his future career.
