2009 Waterford Crystal Cup Hurling Quarter-Finals
Tipperary 0-14 Waterford 1-9
Tipperary defeated Waterford by 0-14 to 1-9 in the Waterford Crystal Cup Quarter-Final on Wednesday evening at St. Mollerans Carrick-on-Suir. Tipperary made a strong start and led by 0-7 to 0-1 early on before Waterford came back in to the game before half time to narrow the deficit to 0-10 to 0-5 at the interval. Waterford dominated the third quarter, keeping Tipperary scoreless and raising a green flag and by the 45th minute, Waterford led by 1-9 to 0-10. However, Tipperary came back in the final quarter to score 4 points to run out winners by two points on a scoreline of 0-14 to 1-9. Best for Tipperary were Paul Curran, Benny Dunne, Shane Maher, Seamus Hennessy and Patrick Maher while corner forwards Paul Kelly and Willie Ryan chipped in with 5 points from play between them.

In the semi-finals on Sunday, Tipperary will play UL at Cahir while Clare take on Waterford IT at Meelick.
