All-Ireland Senior Hurling Qualifiers Round 3
Cork vs. Dublin – The meet for the second time in a year in the qualifiers. Cork won by 3-20 to 0-15 in Parnell Park last year on a day when Kieran Murphy (Erin’s Own) scored 2-2, Joe Deane 0-6 and Pa Cronin 1-2 for the winners. Dublin have three games behind them in this year’s championship, beating Westmeath, drawing and losing to Wexford. Cork lost to Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. Next Saturday’s winners will play Galway or Waterford in Round 4 of the qualifiers.

Limerick vs. Offaly – This will be only their fourth ever championship clash. They last met in 2006 when Limerick won a qualifier tie by ten points (2-29 to 2-19). They also met in the 2003 qualifiers with Offaly winning by 1-18 to 0-14. The most famous clash between the counties was in the 1994 All-Ireland final when an Offaly team that included current manager, Joe Dooley staged a great recovery to beat Limerick. They out-scored Limerick by 2-5 to 0-0 in the final five minutes to win by 3-16 to 2-13.
