All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Qualifiers
Cork 0-23 Galway 2-15 – 14 man Cork produced an excellent comeback in the second half to defeat favourites Galway by two points at Semple Stadium. Cork goalie Donal Og Cusack was sent off for a second bookable offence just before the interval but Cork dominated the second half with Ben O’Connor contributing 12 points and Joe Deane adding five points from play. Waterford 2-18 Offaly 0-18 – Two goals and 13 points from sharp-shooter and former All-Star Eoin Kelly saw Waterford through to the All-Ireland quarter finals after they defeated Offaly in the qualifier tie at Semple Stadium. Match Report
