SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship - Cork 1-22 Clare 1-12
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Clare by 1-22 to 1-12 in Round 4 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship on Friday May 1st at Páirc Uí Rinn. \n\n\nMunster MHC: Cork close on final with comfortable win over Clare https://t.co/JacOlqweMc \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) May 1\, 2026 \n \nMunster MHC: Cork close on final with comfortable win over Clare \nReport by Denis Hurley courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MHC: Cork 1-22 Clare 1-12 \nCork never trailed at any stage as a comfortable win over Clare at Páirc Uí Rinn last night put them one game away from a place in the Electric Ireland Munster MHC final. \nLeading by two points\, 0-10 to 1-5\, at half-time after Clare had got themselves back into the game coming up to the interval\, Cork seized control on the restart as Seán Riordan landed a point and then a super catch from a puckout by captain Eoin Considine – playing his first game after injury kept out up to now – set in train a fine move that saw Callum Coffey pass to Tadhg McCarthy to finish to the net. \nWhile Clare did keep pace in the immediate aftermath of that as Isaac Hassett and goalkeeper Patrick Murphy (free) had points\, Cork replied each time through Coffey – the attacker had also missed the first two matches and finished with four from play – and their lead was never less than six following a super McCarthy point to make it 1-14 to 1-8. \nBobby Power impressed after his promotion to the starting 15\, a fine performance at centre-forward augmented by some excellent dead-ball accuracy after taking over the frees\, and the ten-point lead could even have been more as Cork went close to finding the net again. \nThe result means that Clare must wait on the results of next Friday’s matches to see if they advance to the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals though the dent to scoring difference here could be costly. Cork’s task is more clear-cut: a win or a draw at home to Limerick will send them through to the final against Tipperary. \nTheir last outing was a seven-point loss to Tipp\, but the return of Considine and Coffey were big boosts\, albeit offset by the loss of full-back Howard O’Donovan while Tadhg Murphy was restricted to a substitute appearance. \nThey led throughout the first half\, with Coffey\, Power and Sam Ring among the scores as they pushed into an 0-8 to 0-4 advantage. Ring went close to a goal\, denied by good Seán Connellan defending\, while Patrick Murphy denied Ger O’Regan\, but instead the first green flag went Clare’s way. \nJames O’Donnell was the architect and the finisher\, jinking in from the left sideline and evading two challenges before finishing well to leave a point in it on 27 – the deficit was wiped out by a Ben Talty free. \nHowever\, the Cork reacted well and Considine and Seán Riordan combined to set up Coffey\, with a foul on him allowing Ring to get his third. \nThen\, in injury time\, hard work from the impressive Power yielded a long-range free – they had proven troublesome up to then but Power pointed for a 0-10 to 1-5 lead and the strong start to the second half allowed them to tighten their grip on proceedings. \nScorers for Cork: B Power 0-8 (0-4 f)\, T McCarthy 1-2\, C Coffey 0-4\, S Ring 0-3 (0-2 f)\, C Murphy 0-2\, T Murphy\, S Riordan\, R Cagney 0-1 each. \nScorers for Clare: B Talty 0-6 (0-4 f)\, J O’Donnell 1-2\, I Hassett\, C Mullins\, M Sheehan\, P Murphy (0-1 f) 0-1 each. \nCORK: M Walsh (Youghal); J Batterbury (Castletownroche)\, F Cahill (Midleton)\, N Coffey (Na Piarsaigh); E Considine (Sarsfields)\, D Nolan (Erin’s Own)\, C Barry (Bride Rovers); S Riordan (Kilworth)\, S McHugh (Newtownshandrum); T McCarthy (Watergrasshill)\, B Power (Ballincollig)\, L O’Regan (St Finbarr’s); S Ring (Carrigtwohill)\, C Coffey (Na Piarsaigh)\, C Murphy (Ballinora).\nSubs: T Murphy (Cloughduv) for Riordan (41)\, R Cagney (Mallow) for O’Regan (45)\, T Huggins (Sarsfields) for McCarthy\, D Barry (Douglas) for Murphy (both 53)\, G Kingston (Mallow) for Considine (58). \nCLARE: P Murphy (Tulla); M Fitzpatrick (Clooney-Quin)\, C Maxted (Clooney-Quin)\, O Perill (Crusheen); P Murphy (Corofin)\, C Daly (St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield)\, S Connellan (Kilmaley); O Duignan (Banner)\, I Hassett (Clooney-Quin); J O’Donnell (Broadford)\, G Madden (Scarriff)\, C Mullins (Sixmilebridge); D McKenna (Scarriff)\, N Belenko (Tulla)\, B Talty (St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield).\nSubs: D Seery (Inagh-Kilnamona) for Duignan\, F Daffy (Inagh-Kilnamona) for Madden (both 43)\, C Coffey (Banner) for McKenna\, M Sheehan (Ruan) for Belenko (50)\, S Daly (Kilmaley) for Connellan (53). \nReferee: C Ryan (Tipperary). \n\nTeam Sheet \n \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €10\nStudents / OAPs: €5\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be shown live on YouTube SpórtTG4 \n \n\nTeam News \n\nCork Minor Hurling team to face Clare in the Munster Championship this Friday (May 1st) has been named. \nFull details 👉 https://t.co/v4k1XuBRFo pic.twitter.com/HkTmALCANV \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) April 30\, 2026 \n \n\nThe Clare Minor Hurling management have named their side for the crucial @ElectricIreland @MunsterGAA MHC Round Four tie v Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn tomorrow night . \nThrow in is at 7:00pm and match tickets can be purchased at https://t.co/CNhpoz5Ny6 \nBest of luck lads 💪🟡🔵… pic.twitter.com/Jn05VwWdpO \n— Clare Gaa (@GaaClare) April 30\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship - Kerry 1-6 Tipperary 0-7
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Tipperary by 1-6 to 0-7 in the TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship on Sunday May 3rd at Clonmel Sportsfield. \n\nKerry 1-6 Tipperary 0-7 \nBy Michael Heverin \nChampions Kerry kept their hopes alive of retaining their provincial title with a narrow two points win over Tipperary in the TG4 Munster SFC Round 2 clash at Clonmel Sportsfield. \nKerry needed the win following their first round defeat to Waterford but were more relieved than jubilant after surviving a spirited Tipperary revival in the second half when the home side outscored the visitors by 0-6 to 0-2. \nA dominant first half display laid the foundation for the Kingdom victory\, after which they led by 1-4 to 0-1. Team captain Siofra O’Shea opened their account from a free in the second minute after they had dominated possession from the throw-in. \nEmma Morrissey set up Sarah English for a Tipperary equaliser four minutes later but that was Tipp’s only score of the half as Kerry went on to dominate play\, with Emma Costello dominant at centre-half back\, Anna Galvin and Mary O’Connell on top at midfield\, and O’Shea\, Niamh Carmody\, Jadyn Lucey and Caoimhe Evans causing huge problems for the home defence. \nPoints from Lucey\, another O’Shea free and Mary O’Connell pushed Kerry into a 0-4 to 0-1 lead before Lucey struck for the game’s decisive score four minutes from the break\, winning possession and then making room to shoot low to the net past Lauren Fitzpatrick. \nTipperary had struggled for scores in the first half but they were a rejuvenated side in the second\, with Morrissey\, Lauren Cunningham\, Sarah English\, Heather Spillane and the Martin sisters\, Nora and Niamh\, leading the charge. \nThree points on the bounce in the third quarter had the home support in fine voice. Morrissey from a free for a technical breach started the run\, with the outstanding Cunningham adding the second\, and a huge point from Kirsty Crotty Ryan bringing it back to a one score game\, 1-4 to 0-4\, by the 47th minute. \nKerry had to wait eighteen minutes for their first score of the half\, with a point from O’Shea helping to stem the Tipperary onslaught. But Tipperary\, finally reproducing the form that saw them shock Cork in the first round a week earlier\, hit back with another two points from Nora Martin and Emma Morrissey to bring it back to 1-5 to 0-6 with five minutes to go. \nAs the game entered added on time\, Kerry extended the lead with an Aisling O’Connell point\, just their second of the half\, and even though Tipp responded with a Niamh Martin point after strong pressure\, time ran out for the home side. \nScorers – Kerry: J Lucey 1-1\, S O’Shea 0-3 (0-2 f)\, M O’Connell\, A O’Connell 0-1 each.\nTipperary: E Morrissey 0-2 (0-1 f)\, Nora Martin\, Niamh Martin\, S English\, L Cunningham\, K Crotty Ryan 0-1 each. \nKERRY: C Butler; R Rahilly\, D Kearney\, E Lynch\, A O’Connell; E Costello\, A Dillane; A Galvin\, M O’Connell; N Carmody\, N Ní Chonchúir\, C Evans; R Dwyer\, S O’Shea\, J Lucey.\nSubs: L McMahon for Dwyer (36)\, M E Bolger for C Butler (inj\, 44)\, K Enright for Carmody (55)\, M O’Connor for Evans (60). \nTIPPERARY: L Fitzpatrick; T Hoare\, M Curley\, E Cronin; K Cashman\, Nora Martin\, S English; L Morrissey\, Niamh Martin; C English\, L Cunningham\, H Spillane; K Crotty Ryan\, A Carey\, E Morrissey.\nSubs: A McGuigan for Crotty Ryan (51)\, A Ryan for Cashman (55). \nReferee: Justin Murphy (Cork) \n\nTG4 Munster Senior Championship\nTipperary v Kerry; Clonmel Sportsfield\, 2pm \nTipperary’s Round 1 victory over Cork was an eye-catching result. The Rebels were expected to win comfortably following their Lidl NFL Division 1 title win but Tipp pulled off a memorable win. \nThe Premier County now welcome Kerry to Clonmel on Sunday for another huge encounter. Chasing a second successive victory in Munster\, Tipp have named an unchanged starting line-up. \nVisitors Kerry\, the Munster champions\, were stunned by Waterford last weekend and need a big response.\nThere’s one change for Kerry as they prepare for the trip to Tipp\, with Danielle O’Leary coming in for Rachel Dwyer at left corner forward. \nTIPPERARY: L Fitzpatrick; T Hoare\, M Curley\, E Cronin; K Cashman\, Nora Martin\, S English; L Morrissey\, Niamh Martin; C English\, L Cunningham\, H Spillane; K Crotty Ryan\, A Carey\, E Morrissey. \nKERRY: C Butler; R Rahilly\, D Kearney\, E Lynch; A O’Connell\, E Costello\, A Dillane; A Galvin\, M O’Connell; K Enright\, N Ni Chonchúir\, C Evans; L McMahon\, S O’Shea (capt.)\, D O’Leary.

SUMMARY:2026 TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship - Waterford 3-18 Cork 3-7
DESCRIPTION:Waterford defeated Cork by 3-18 to 3-7 in the TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship on Sunday May 3rd at Páirc Uí Rinn. \n\nWaterford 3-18 Cork 3-7 \nBy Ger McCarthy \nWaterford powered past Cork in the TG4 Munster senior football championship at Páirc Ui Rinn on Sunday afternoon. \nTomás Mac an tSaoir’s side were full value for their win thanks to Kellyann Hogan\, Katie Murray and Clare Walsh’s scoring prowess and a superb team display. \nAvoid defeat against Tipperary next weekend and the Déise will qualify for a second consecutive Munster SFC final. \nAs for Cork\, the Division 1 National League champions lost for the second time in a row and require a huge upturn in form ahead of facing Kerry in Killarney. \nA game blighted by heavy showers saw Waterford break the deadlock via an early Hogan effort that was palmed over the crossbar by Cork goalkeeper Caoimhe Richmond. \nThe home team responded quickly as Máire O’Callaghan burst through to find the net and a Katie Quirke free\, brought forward 50 metres\, made it 1-1 to 0-1. \nThat was Waterford’s cue to up the tempo however\, as a Walsh goal and two points apiece from Hogan and Áine O’Neill pushed Waterford 1-5 to 1-1 clear after 10 minutes. \nÁine Terry O’Sullivan and Quirke efforts reduced the deficit prior to a Hogan point restoring her team’s three-point advantage. Quirke setup Leah Hallihan for Cork’s second goal but\, once again\, their opponents mounted a swift response. \nRuby Browne and Eve Power white flags made it 1-8 to 2-3 in the visitors’ favour before another turnover resulted in Murray firing into Cork’s goal.\nMurray added a point to make it 2-9 to 2-3 at the break. \nIt was 2-12 to 2-5 when Cork captain Emma Cleary arrowed a marvellous shot into the top corner after 37 minutes. \nHogan steadied Waterford nerves with two converted frees before thundering a magnificent shot into the roof of the net. \nA flurry of scores preceded Emma Murray and Hogan (free) completing the rout. \nCork’s Emma Hurley kicked the game’s final score but Waterford ran out deserving 3-18 to 3-7 winners and took a giant step towards reaching this year’s TG4 Munster SFC final. \nScorers: Waterford: K Hogan 1-8 (4f)\, K Murray 1-2\, C Walsh 1-1\, Á O’Neill 0-2\, R Browne\, E Power\, B McMaugh\, L McGregor\, E Murray 0-1 each.\nCork: K Quirke 0-3 (2f)\, M O’Callaghan\, L Hallihan\, E Cleary 1-0 each\, S McGoldrick 0-2\, Á T O’Sullivan\, E Hurley 0-1 each. \nWATERFORD: K Gardner; C Murray\, L Mulcahy\, R Browne; M Daly\, R Casey\, K McGrath; E Murray (c)\, E Power; Á O’Neill\, K Hogan\, K Murray; B McMaugh\, C Walsh\, L McGregor.\nSubs: C Fennell for M Daly (ht)\, L Cusack for R Browne (57)\, L Ní Harta for E Power (57)\, A McGrath for K Murray (58)\, O Kennedy for L Mulcahy (59). \nCORK: C Richmond; S Callanan\, D Kiniry\, S Kelly; A Corcoran\, M Duggan\, R Corkery; S McGoldrick\, A O’Mahony; R Leahy\, M O’Callaghan\, E Cleary (c); L Hallihan\, K Quirke\, Á T O’Sullivan.\nSubs: K Redmond for A O’Mahony (47)\, R O’Regan for R Leahy (47)\, A Ring for M O’Callaghan (47)\, E Hurley for Á T O’Sullivan (54)\, K O’Driscoll for S McGoldrick (57). \nReferee: Seamus Mulvihill (Kerry). \n\nTG4 Munster Senior Championship\nCork v Waterford; Páirc Uí Rinn\, 2pm \nOpening round results have blown the race for TG4 Munster senior glory wide open.\nLidl NFL Division 1 champions Cork lost out to Tipperary in their Round 1 clash and need a big response at home to Waterford. \nThe visiting Déise got the better of holders Kerry to open their Munster campaign in style and this is a pivotal fixture in the four-team round-robin phase.\nCork have made one change\, with Máire O’Callaghan coming for Ciara Hughes\, while Waterford are going with an unchanged team as they look to make it two from two. \nCORK: C Richmond; M Duggan\, D Kiniry\, S Kelly; A Corcoran\, S McGoldrick\, R Corkery; M O’Callaghan\, A O’Mahony; R Leahy\, G Murphy\, E Cleary (capt.); R O’Regan\, K Quirke\, A O’Sullivan.\nWATERFORD: K Gardner; C Murray\, L Mulcahy\, R Browne; A McGrath\, R Casey\, K McGrath; E Murray (capt.)\, E Power; Á O’Neill\, K Hogan\, K Murray; M Daly\, B McMaugh\, L McGregor.

With two home matches remaining\, Limerick will relish the upcoming weeks. \nFor Clare\, this was a bitterly disappointing afternoon. The drama and fireworks of the Waterford encounter at the same venue a fortnight previously couldn’t be replicated because Limerick were primed for a battle. \nHaving lost narrowly against Cork\, the visitors thundered into this contest accumulating a 1-8 to 0-4 advantage at the end of the opening quarter. Clare simply couldn’t recover. \nPhysical and purposeful\, Limerick dictated the agenda. Aidan O’Connor concluded the game with a 1-9 haul\, while the excellent Shane O’Brien mined six from play. \nIt was that sort of day for an efficient Limerick team\, who struck 2-30 from 44 shots\, illustrating their admirable accuracy. In contrast\, Clare finished with 1-18 from 35 attempts. \nLimerick’s defensive unit was secure and when Clare manufactured goal opportunities\, Nickie Quaid denied Mark Rodgers with splendid saves in each half. \nInitially\, Shane O’Donnell\, who was wholehearted for Clare\, and Mark Rodgers (free) clipped points\, but Limerick soon seized control. \nA Peter Casey point was briskly followed by a fourth minute Aidan O’Connor goal. William O’Donoghue\, Peter Casey\, and Barry Nash were involved in a slick build up. \nLimerick were 1-8 to 0-5 ahead midway through the half when a penalty was awarded following an Adam Hogan foul on O’Brien. Hogan was black carded before Diarmaid Byrnes converted the penalty expertly. \nWhen the interval rolled around Limerick’s lead was healthy\, 2-15 to 0-8. \nThere was a Clare burst in the third quarter with Mark Rodgers supplying scores as the deficit was reduced to 2-18 to 0-14. Limerick were unperturbed. \nByrnes\, Peter Casey\, O’Brien (2)\, and Cathal O’Neill all landed sweet points from play for Limerick. \nWith nine minutes remaining\, Tony Kelly goaled a penalty\, following a Nash foul on the Ballyea clubman. \nThere wasn’t a hint of a comeback\, though\, as Limerick closed out the deal with the minimum of fuss. O’Connor\, O’Brien\, O’Neill\, and substitute Fintan Fitzgerald supplied points in the closing stages. \nClare’s trip to Thurles on Saturday week\, May 16\, will be a revealing match for both counties. SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship - Clare 2-8 Waterford 0-8
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Waterford by 2-8 to 0-8 in Round 2 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship Phase 2 on Monday May 4th at Lemybrien. \n\nMunster MFC: Thomas Dillon fires Clare to Daryl D’Arcy Cup with victory over Waterford \nReport by Jordan Norris courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MFC phase 2: Waterford 0-08 (0-1-6) Clare 2-08 (2-0-8) \nTwo second half goals from Thomas Dillon proved crucial as Clare deservedly left Lemybrien with the Daryl D’Arcy Cup. \nThe game hung in the balance before a four-minute burst from the Doonbeg man turned the tide in the Banner’s favour. \nThe sides were level at the break after a tight and tense opening period given ambitions of progression and winning the cup were on the line at Páirc Naomh Bríd. \nAfter a spate of wides from both counties\, Waterford nearly struck for goal on five minutes. Charlie Smyth broke through and squared to Charlie Kelly but Conor Griffin made a superb stop to prevent the Déise opening the scoring in style. \nFourteen minutes ultimately passed before anyone struck oil\, but it was Clare who did so as a long ball was gratefully grasped by Liam Keane and the Lissycasey man swivelled to split the posts with ease. Waterford levelled on 19 minutes\, Caolan Johnston broke through and played it to Aidan McMaugh and he swept over with ease\, but a patient move was capped off by Robbie Kelly at the other end as the Banner bit back. \nA Dara Gough free again brought about parity\, however an impressive instant response from Clare captain Shane Cahill sparked the game into life. Approaching the break\, the visitors were dominant but failing to work the scoreboard – and the Déise levelled with their last move of the half\, Anthony O’Donnell surging through and setting up McMaugh\, the Nire man made no mistake and it was 0-3 apiece at the interval. \nWaterford were hoping for a fourth win in five and a double over Clare following their earlier success in Quilty\, and a stunning two-point effort off the left flank from Liam O’Grady quickly gave added momentum to those ambitions. Dillon soon reduced arrears to one\, but Dara Gough struck another free as the hosts established control. \nGough teed up Charlie Kelly as a lively home crowd grew stronger in voice\, but a fisted effort from substitute Michael Normoyle kept the Déise on their toes. On 43 minutes\, the visitors suddenly found themselves ahead. \nA very well worked switch to the right flank allowed Dillon to weave his way towards goal\, and he fired hard and low under Jack Sheehan to make it 1-5 to 0-7 in the Banner’s favour. \nRoute one was working the oracle for Clare\, and Dillon in particular\, as the forward struck for goal number two three minutes later. A beautiful pass from Cahill landed perfectly for Dillon to twist and turn and once again provide the finishing touch. \nWaterford needed a goal of their own\, and as a Charlie Smyth strike flashed wide of goal at one end\, an unmarked Cahill split the posts with ease at the other. Ronan Kirwan saw an effort blocked off the line as the Déise huffed and puffed\, but Clare were unforgiving as Cahill burst through for another. \nDillon brought his tally to 2-2 from a free\, as fatigue began to show for Waterford. An Anthony O’Donnell strike proved consolatory\, as Dillon’s goals were definitively the difference. \nScorers for Waterford: D Gough (0-2; 0-2f); A McMaugh (0-2); L O’Grady (0-2; 1tp); C Kelly and A O’Donnell (0-1 each) \nScorers for Clare: T Dillon (2-2; 0-1f); S Cahill (0-3); L Keane\, R Kelly and M Normoyle (0-1 each) \nWATERFORD: J Sheehan (Kilgobinet); A McManus (Tramore)\, J Skehan (Rathgormack)\, S Healy (Geraldines); C Johnston (Gaultier)\, A O’Donnell (Brickey Rangers)\, L O’Grady (Gaultier); C Kelly (Geraldines)\, T Walsh (The Nire); E Bloomer (Gaultier)\, A McMaugh (The Nire)\, R Kirwan (Rathgormack); D Gough (Stradbally)\, C Smyth (Tramore)\, S Masterson (Ballyduff Lower)\nSubs: D Hutchinson (Gaultier) for Masterson (45); R Hallahan (Dungarvan) for Kelly (45); A Reddin (De La Salle) for Walsh (50); J Casey (Stradbally) for Bloomer (59); F Murray (Abbeyside / Ballinacourty) for McMaugh (59) \nCLARE: C Griffin (Ennistymon); G Browne (Cooraclare)\, S Neenan (Kildysart)\, T O’Loughlin (St Breckans); J Greene (Corofin)\, C Killeen (Lissycasey)\, S O Neill (Éire Og); S Cahill (Kilmurry Ibrickane)\, P Neylon (Shannon Gaels); R Cotter (Kilrush Shamrocks)\, T Bane (The Banner)\, T Dillon (Doonbeg); Robbie Kelly (Kildysart)\, L Keane (Lissycasey)\, S O’Callaghan (St Joseph’s Doora / Barefield)\nSubs: M Normoyle (St Breckans) for O’Callaghan (36); Z O’Shea (Doonbeg) for Bane (42); D Fitzpatrick (St Breckans) for Neylon (45); R Brody (Ennistymon) for Cotter (55); E Soffe (Kilrush Shamrocks) for Killeen (59) \nReferee: C Murphy (Cork) \n\nTeam Sheet \n \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €10\nStudents / OAPs: €5\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nTeam News \n\nBrendan Kearney & his management team have announced the team to play Clare in the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Football Championship on Monday the 4th of May in Lemybrien. \n🗓️Mon 4th May⏰7pm 🏟️Lemybrien. \nTickets: https://t.co/2Mfa5EWFeG pic.twitter.com/WvoGEeJiKp \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) May 3\, 2026 \n \n\nThe Clare Minor Footballers travel to Lemybrien for Phase Two Round Two of the @ElectricIreland Munster Minor Football Championship this evening . \nClare have named their starting fifteen for the tie which throws in at 7:00pm. John Cleary’s seniors would take even one-tenth of the winning margin so strikingly achieved by Keith Ricken’s minors on Monday evening. \nFor the first time in exactly three years\, Cork have bettered Kerry in a Munster minor championship fixture. For the opening 40 minutes or so\, the Cork minor class of 2026 didn’t so much better their Kingdom hosts as they stylishly and tenaciously battered them. \nA five-game losing run to Kerry at this level is no more. Said losing run had been reversed long before the final whistle. \nCome the game’s 40th minute\, Cork led by 1-14 to 0-5. The visitors’ tuned-in attitude dipped somewhat slightly thereafter\, and understandably so for a group of kids commanding a 12-point advantage on Kerry soil. \nMarc Ó Sé’s Kerry team twice cut the margin to seven. A meaningful comeback was never threatened or allowed. Goals from Cork subs Riley O’Donovan and Luke O’Neill\, on 47 and 64 minutes respectively\, shoved the Cork advantage back into double-digits. \nO’Donovan’s was an important score. Green and gold replacement Daithí Laide had goaled two minutes earlier. With referee Eoin Keane playing an advantage on a skewed Eoghan Ahern point effort\, O’Donovan gathered and goaled. \nThe Cork sub pointed in the very next play\, profiting from teammate Peadar Kelly’s excellent win on the Kerry kickout. He’d finish with 1-3 beside his name. \nFollowing last week’s facile victory over Clare in their round-robin opener\, this second result propels Cork into the provincial decider on May 18\, irrespective of how next Monday’s game against Waterford pans out. \nThe half-time scoreline was a most unusual half-time scoreline for recent Cork-Kerry underage fixtures in Tralee. It was a half-time scoreline that read 1-10 to 0-4 in Cork’s favour. It was a scoreline that told so accurately the story of the half. \nDarragh Keane kicked Kerry into a 0-2 to 0-1 advantage on three minutes. They wouldn’t score for another quarter of an hour. They would manage only one shot during this period. \nThe hosts lacked penetration in the scoring zone. Their passing in the final third was too often telegraphed. Cork grew from the many turnovers they were executing. The last of these arrived in first-half stoppages when the excellent Conor Downing comfortably intercepted a Kerry pass. The breakaway move ended with Ben Hegarty’s fourth converted free of the half and a nine-point Cork lead. \nHegarty was hurting Kerry far more than just from the dead-ball. The Ballinora youngster was part of a towering middle-third effort that pummelled and poached Kerry restart after Kerry restart. \nKieran O’Shea\, Darragh O’Sullivan\, Peadar Kelly\, and Éanna Lynch are others who merit mention for their fine contributions in this red-owned department. \nIt was this restart dominance that fuelled Cork’s unanswered 1-6 between the fifth and 18th minutes. Joe Miskella\, Jacob Barry\, and Lynch won converted frees. Eoghan Ahern\, who converted two early frees\, finished the game’s opening goal. \nThe same as so many other first-half Cork scores\, it was confidently and coherently constructed. Kelly and Jacob Barry were central characters in the defence-opening movement. \nAhern\, same as Hegarty\, was effective in different facets of the game. The half-forward’s smart running in the opposite direction offered him as a valuable restart outlet for ‘keeper Rory Twohig. \nCork stood 1-7 to 0-2 in front at the end of this period where they dominated the game’s shape\, flow\, and just about everything else. Lúc Mac Gearailt and Keane ended Kerry’s barren spell. Another 13-minute barren spell followed to finish out their miserable half. \nCork\, who didn’t register their first wide until the 28th minute\, closed out a half of very few blemishes with two further Hegarty frees either side of a Kieran O’Shea kick. The latter was the standout red pupil upon the change of ends. \nAnd although less sustained in the second period\, Cork’s tackling and transitioning of play was just so impressive. Structure and organisation were spot on. The trick now will be to repeat the dose in the Munster final. \nFor the wider Cork football picture\, a most pleasant start to this week of Kerry journeys. \nScorers for Cork: R O’Donovan (1-3); B Hegarty (0-6\, 0-5 frees); E Ahern (1-2\, 0-2 frees); A O’Herlihy (0-3); L O’Neill (1-0); R Twohig (tp free)\, K O’Shea (0-2 each). \nScorers for Kerry: D Keane (0-7\, tp\, 0-2 frees); D Laide (1-1); D Lane (0-3\, 0-1 free); D Murphy\, L Mac Gearailt\, C Moynihan (0-1 each). \nCORK: R Twohig (Kilmeen); R McCormack (Midleton)\, G Oronsaye (Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels)\, C Garvey (St Finbarr’s); É Lynch (Ballincollig)\, C Downing (Adrigole)\, P Kelly (Naomh Abán); K O’Shea (Urhan)\, B Hegarty (Ballinora); D O’Sullivan (Erin’s Own)\, J Miskella (Ballincollig)\, E Ahern (Carrigaline); D Herlihy (Shamrocks)\, A O’Herlihy (St Finbarr’s)\, J Barry (Aghinagh).\nSUBS: R O’Donovan (Barryroe) for Barry (43); L O’Neill (Carbery Rangers) for Herlihy\, P O’Connor (Lisgoold) for McCormack (50); M Corkery (Nemo Rangers) for Miskella (51); M Power (Charleville) for Garvey (58). \nKERRY: C O Donnell (Tarbert); E Mangan (Austin Stacks)\, J Breen (Emmets)\, C Clifford (Dr Crokes); D Murphy (Listry)\, S Clifford (Listry)\, M Corridon (Ardfert); M Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht)\, T Slattery (Na Gaeil); Lúc Mac Gearailt (An Ghaeltacht)\, S Scroope (Legion)\, J Collins (Ballymacelligott); D Lane (Austin Stacks)\, D Keane (Kilcummin)\, O Buckley (Beale).\nSUBS: J Ziober (Milltown/Castlemaine) for Clifford (11-13\, temporary); D Laide (Finuge) for Buckley\, C Moynihan (Rathmore) for Scroope (both HT); T Lenihan (Churchill) for Slattery (45); P O’Sullivan (Firies) for Corridon (51); T Kennelly (Listowel Emmets) for Collins (55). \nReferee: E Keane (Clare). \n\nTeam Sheet \n \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €10\nStudents / OAPs: €5\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nTeam News \nKERRY: Christian O Donnell (Tarbert); Eoin Mangan (Austin Stacks)\, John Breen (Emmets)\, Conor Clifford (Dr Crokes); Danny Murphy (Listry)\, Seanie Clifford (Listry)\, Mikey Corridon (Ardfert); Maidhc Ó Sé (An Ghaeltacht)\, Tom Slattery (Na Gaeil); Lúc MacGearailt (An Ghaeltacht)\, Samuel Scroope (Legion Killarney)\, Jack Collins (Ballymacelligott); Danny Lane (Austin Stacks)\, Daragh Keane (Kilcummin)\, Fionn O’ Dowd (Dingle).\nSubs: Seán Sargent (John Mitchels\, GK)\, Daithí Laide (Finuge)\, Timmy Kennelly (Emmets)\, Danny Kingston (Na Gaeil)\, Jan Ziober (Milltown/Castlemaine)\, Cillian Moynihan (Rathmore)\, Cillian O’ Donoghue (Listry)\, Podge O’ Sullivan (Firies)\, Tom Lenihan (Churchill). \n\nCork Minor Football manager Keith Ricken has named his team to face Kerry in Phase 2\, Round 2 of the Electric Ireland Minor Football Championship on Monday at 7pm in Tralee. pic.twitter.com/phUOUa5ULr \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) May 3\, 2026 \n \nCORK: Rory Twohig (Kilmeen); Riain McCormack (Midleton)\, Gabriel Oronsaye (Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels)\, Conor Garvey (St Finbarr’s); Darragh O’Sullivan (Erin’s Own)\, Conor Downing (Adrigole)\, Éanna Lynch (Ballincollig); Kieran O’Shea (Urhan)\, Peadar Kelly (Naomh Abán); Eoghan Ahern (Carrigaline)\, Ben Hegarty (Ballinora)\, Joe Miskella (Ballincollig\, capt); Alex O’Herlihy (St Finbarr’s)\, Jacob Barry (Aghinagh)\, Dónal Herlihy (Shamrocks).\nSubs: Kieran Archer (Russell Rovers)\, Donncha O’Mahony (Newcestown)\, Riley O’Donovan (Barryroe)\, Pól O’Connor (Lisgoold)\, Mark Power (Charleville)\, Luke O’Neill (Carbery Rangers)\, Morgan Corkery (Nemo Rangers)\, Riain Coakley (Éire Óg)\, Rory O’Sullivan (Naomh Abán).

SUMMARY:2026 Fulfil Munster GAA Under 20 Hurling Championship Semi-Final - Clare 3-20 Cork 2-17
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Cork by 3-20 to 2-17 in the Fulfil Munster GAA Under 20 Hurling Championship Semi-Final on Wednesday May 6th at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. \n\nMunster U20HC: Cork beaten in semi-final as Clare finish well \nReport by Denis Hurley from the Echo newspaper \nClare 3-20 Cork 2-17 \nCork’s Fulfil Munster U20HC campaign came to an end Clare finished well to take victory in Wednesday’s semi-final at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. \nSeven nights previously\, Cork had scored four and conceded two in defeating the Banner to finish second in the group\, securing a home semi-final against their opponents\, who came third. \nBefore a crowd of 2\,578 at the same venue\, the visitors had the stronger goal threat and their return of two green flags as they led by 2-9 to 0-11 at half-time was probably below par. \nTo Cork’s credit\, they battled back well in the second half and led by 2-17 to 2-14 when Barry O’Flynn netted in the 50th minute. However\, it proved to be the home side’s last score as their opponents went into overdrive. \nClare had an immediate response to the goal as Marco Cleary got his second of the game to tie matters again before sub Harry Doherty and Ronan Kilroy put them back in front. \nThe cushion was three when Fred Hegarty landed a huge free – O’Flynn did threaten to wipe it out as he drew a save from Mark Sheedy but in injury time Hegarty added three more points to bring his personal tally to 0-8 and send Terence Fahy’s side into next Wednesday’s final against Tipperary. \nIn the first half\, Cork had led by 0-5 to 0-3 thanks to a burst from Finn O’Brien\, Darragh Heavin and Johnny Murphy but Clare levelled through Ronan Keane and Fred Hegarty before a flurry of goal chances arrived for the visitors. \nMatthew Barrett did well to deny Paul Rodgers\, then Thomas O’Connor’s good catch allow him sight of goal; he was crowded out and Marco Cleary shot wide. Moments later\, Oisín Walsh was quick off his line to deny O’Connor. \nWhile Barry O’Flynn put Cork ahead\, Clare continued to threaten as Rodgers had a chance saved by Walsh but\, after Daniel Costello levelled\, the goal finally came. Rodgers was the scorer\, alive to the potential when James Hegarty’s broke. \nThough the industrious Zack Biggane replied with a Cork point\, Clare had pushed 1-9 to 0-8 in front when they struck again\, Fred Hegarty’s delivery the set-up for Cleary to arrow a shot to the net. \nSeven down\, Cork clawed their way back somewhat before the break as O’Flynn scored one and set up Conor Noonan for another while James O’Brien – introduced as a sub for another replacement\, Craig O’Sullivan\, who was given just ten minutes – reacted well to point when Barry Walsh had had an effort from a free repelled. \nDespite that good finish to the half from Cork\, Clare initially retained the impetus on the resumption but Cork regained a foothold. A good turnover from Barry Walsh gave them possession close to goal and while O’Flynn was being fouled\, he got a pass away to Johnny Murphy\, who blasteed past Sheedy. \nThat left it 2-12 to 1-12 and two from James O’Brien\, one a free\, tied the game again. \nThe middle period of the half saw the sides match each other point for point before O’Flynn’s goal looked like it might a momentum-shifter. \nClare ensured that it was not and then they powered on impressively. \nScorers for Clare: F Hegarty 0-8 (0-6 f)\, M Cleary 2-0\, T O’Connor\, R Kilroy 0-3 each\, P Rodgers 1-0\, D Costello 0-2\, R Keane\, M Collins\, R Hayes\, H Doherty 0-1 each. \nCork: B O’Flynn 1-3\, Johnny Murphy 1-2\, James O’Brien 0-4 (0-1 f)\, Z Biggane\, Barry Walsh (0-1 f) 0-2 each\, D Heavin\, C Noonan\, F O’Brien\, J Counihan 0-1 each. \nCLARE: M Sheedy; J Casey\, R Loftus\, E Gunning; R Hayes\, M O’Halloran\, J Hegarty; D Costello\, R Keane; F Hegarty\, M Collins\, R Kilroy; P Rodgers\, T O’Connor\, M Cleary.\nSubs: G Ball for Casey (28\, injured)\, H Doherty for Collins (43)\, S Arthur for Rodgers (45)\, S Boyce for Ball (49-50)\, D Neville for Kilroy (60+2)\, S Boyce for Cleary (60+4). \nCORK: O Walsh (Youghal); D Heavin (Russell Rovers)\, M Barrett (Carrigtwohill)\, D Fitzgerald (Bride Rovers); Ben Walsh (Killeagh)\, C Garde (Lisgoold)\, D O’Leary (Ballincollig); MT Brosnan (Glen Rovers)\, C Noonan (Kanturk); John Murphy (Mallow)\, Barry Walsh (Killeagh)\, Z Biggane (Charleville); B O’Flynn (Sarsfields)\, Johnny Murphy (Dromina)\, F O’Brien (Erin’s Own).\nSubs: C O’Sullivan (Na Piarsaigh) for F O’Brien (16\, injured)\, James O’Brien (Cloyne) for O’Sullivan (26)\, J Counihan (Watergrasshill) for Fitzgerald (half-time)\, J O’Brien (Douglas) for John Murphy (49)\, M O’Brien (Douglas) for Biggane (57). \nReferee: A Tierney (Tipperary). \n\nTeam Sheet \n \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €10\nStudents / OAPs: €5\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nTeam News \n\nCork U20 side to play Clare on Wednesday night in Fulfil Munster Hurling Championship Semi-final has been announced. \nMore information https://t.co/KKYetRkpWs pic.twitter.com/EKEs3SiBLK \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) May 5\, 2026 \n \nCORK (U20 v Clare): Ó Walsh (Youghal); D Fitzgerald (Bride Rovers)\, M Barrett (Carrigtwohill)\, D Heavin (Russell Rovers); MT Brosnan (Glen Rovers)\, C Garde (Lisgoold)\, D O’Leary (Ballincollig); Ben Walsh (Killeagh)\, C Noonan (Kanturk); Z Biggane (Charleville)\, J Murphy (Mallow)\, Johnny Murphy (Dromina); F O’Brien (Erin’s Own)\, B O’Flynn (Sarsfields)\, B Walsh (Killeagh).\nSubs: T Walsh (Aghada)\, R O’Riordan (Blackrock)\, J Galvin (Éire Óg)\, J Counihan (Watergrasshill)\, J O’Brien (Douglas)\, J O’Brien (Cloyne)\, C Deane (Killeagh)\, C O’Sullivan (Na Piarsaigh)\, M O’Brien (Douglas). \n\nClare have named their team for tonight’s @fulfil @MunsterGAA Under 20 Hurling Semi Final against Cork . \nThrow in at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh is at 7:35pm and tickets are available at https://t.co/Ariml1f7Yi \nUp the Banner 🟡🔵🟡💪 pic.twitter.com/vxs6rlXFsi \n— Clare Gaa (@GaaClare) May 6\, 2026 \n \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be shown live on TG4. \n\nAmárach ar #GAABEO (6ú) \nClúdach beo ar Chluiche Leathcheannais Fé 20 na Mumhan 🥎 \nWhich team will be joining Tipperary in the Munster U20 hurling final? 🤔 \nBEO @ 19:25@OfficialCorkGAA v @GaaClare@MunsterGAA @SportTG4 pic.twitter.com/KNGzoBev5R \n— GAA BEO (@GAA_BEO) May 5\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship - Limerick 2-21 Cork 0-18
DESCRIPTION:Limerick defeated Cork by 2-21 to 0-18 in Round 5 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship on Friday May 8th at Páirc Uí Rinn. \n\n\nLimerick seal Munster MHC final berth with dominant win over Cork https://t.co/kLUO5lHE2X \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) May 8\, 2026 \n \nLimerick seal Munster MHC final berth with dominant win over Cork \nReport by Denis Hurley courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MHC: Cork 0-18 Limerick 2-21 \nThere was no doubting Limerick’s superiority as victory over Cork at Páirc Uí Rinn on Friday night sent them through to the Electric Ireland Munster MHC final. \nWhile this was not a provincial semi-final in the strictest sense\, it would be a case of winner advancing to face Tipperary as long as Tipp did not lose to Waterford\, in which case scoring difference would come into play. \nAs things transpired\, Tipp’s victory and the result here meant head-to-head records determining matters at both ends of the table – Limerick took second ahead of Cork\, who now go to the All-Ireland preliminary quarter-finals along with Clare\, who had been on the brink of elimination after finishing their programme last week with a loss to Cork but survived thanks to their earlier win over Waterford. \nLimerick asserted themselves from the off. While Cork had the opening score with a Bobby Power free in the first minute\, the visitors’ response of three points in a row were indicative of what was to come. \nInitially\, there was a strong response to that as Stephen McHugh landed a fine point from the left sideline and Carroll added two more frees following fouls on Sam Ring and Carroll himself. \nThat left Cork 0-4 to 0-3 ahead with the clock showing 14 minutes but it was the last time they led. Instead\, seven points on the trot from Limerick gave them a commanding advantage. \nCentre-back Conor Ryan and centre-forward Ryan Foley impressed for the visitors during this period but Cork made the Shannonsiders’ task a bit easier as they were turned over on their own puckout more than once. \nAfter a good Eamon O’Sullivan point made it 0-12 to 0-6 in the 29th minute\, Cork did managed to pull two back courtesy of Power frees. \nHowever\, after a chance to cut the lead to three was not taken\, Limerick finished the half with points from Dáire Long and a lovely individual effort from John O’Riordan to retire with a 0-14 to 0-8 advantage. \nAnother pointed Power free opened the second half for Cork and they had sight of goal when Liam O’Regan’s arrowed delivery was claimed by Sam Ring but Limerick goalkeeper Sam Collins saved well. \nPower put the resultant 65 over the bar but Limerick always retained the capacity to respond and Eoin Hennessy and Waters (free) made it 0-16 to 0-10 on 39. \nCork sub Ryan Cagney got the first of four points following a nice Ring pass and a long-range Power free again cut Cork’s deficit to four by the three-quarter mark but it was as close as they came – Diarmuid Crowe’s impressive catch and lay-off allowed Limerick midfielder Xavier Nelligan to charge forward before finishing to the net and Waters’ fifth opened up an eight-point advantage. \nTom Huggins\, another who contributed off the Cork bench\, had two points as they came back to within six but any doubts about the outcome were put to bed when Crowe got Limerick’s second with five minutes left\, his low shot deceiving Walsh. \nThe same nine-point margin pertained at the end\, sending Limerick forward in buoyant form while Cork must regroup. \nScorers for Cork: B Power 0-9 (0-8 f\, 0-1 65)\, R Cagney 0-4\, T Huggins 0-2\, S McHugh\, C Murphy\, C Coffey 0-1 each. \nScorers for Limerick: S Waters 0-7 (0-4 f)\, D Crowe 1-2\, X Nelligan 1-1\, R Foley 0-3\, D Long 0-2\, D O’Grady\, E O’Sullivan\, C Hickey\, E Hennessy\, R Horgan\, J O’Riordan 0-1 each. \nCORK: M Walsh (Youghal); J Batterberry (Castletownroche)\, F Cahill (Midleton)\, N Coffey (Na Piarsaigh); E Considine (Sarsfields)\, D Nolan (Erin’s Own)\, C Barry (Bride Rovers); T Murphy (Cloughduv)\, S McHugh (Newtownshandrum); T McCarthy (Watergrasshill)\, B Power (Ballincollig)\, L O’Regan (St Finbarr’s); C Coffey (Na Piarsaigh)\, C Murphy (Ballinora)\, S Ring (Carrigtwohill).\nSubs: R Cagney (Mallow) for T Murphy (11-16)\, Cagney for Murphy (25\, injured)\, C Ronayne (Dungourney) for McCarthy (37)\, D Barry (Douglas) for O’Regan (42)\, T Huggins (Sarsfields) for C Murphy (49)\, S Riordan (Kilworth) for McHugh (58). \nLIMERICK: S Collins; R Collins\, W Ryan\, S Mitchell; E Hennessy\, C Ryan\, J O’Riordan; X Nelligan\, J Roche; D Crowe\, R Foley\, S Waters; E O’Sullivan\, D O’Grady\, D Long.\nSubs: R Horgan for Long (37)\, G O’Brien for O’Grady (43)\, C Hickey for Roche (55)\, C Burke for O’Sullivan (58)\, B Gavin for O’Riordan (60). \nReferee: E O’Leary (Clare). \n\nTeam Sheet \n \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €10\nStudents / OAPs: €5\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be streamed live by YouTube SpórtTG4 \n \n\nTeam News \n\nCork Minor Hurling team to play Limerick in Electric Ireland Munster Minor Championship has been announced pic.twitter.com/4VKU0PVevv \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) May 7\, 2026 \n \n\nDiarmuid Mullins & his management team has released their Limerick Minor hurling team for their round 5 game of the Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship clash against Cork: \nLimerick Minor Hurling team v Cork this Friday at 7pm in Pairc Ui Rinn is Announced. pic.twitter.com/DzMDbN0Ve6 \n— Limerick GAA (@LimerickCLG) May 7\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship - Tipperary 3-17 Waterford 1-17
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Waterford by 3-17 to 1-17 in Round 5 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship on Friday May 8th at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field Dungarvan. \n\n\nSecond half goals prove decisive for Tipperary minors https://t.co/i8teJS9Rpz \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) May 8\, 2026 \n \nSecond half goals prove decisive for Tipperary minors \nReport by Jordan Norris courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MHC: Waterford 1-17 (20) Tipperary 3-17 (26) \nClinical finishing proved the difference for Tipperary as they saw off a spirited Waterford effort in the final round of this year’s Munster Minor Hurling Championship at Fraher Field. \nA brace from Rían McGrath and another from Josh Moroney were decisive as the visitors claimed a fourth victory on the spin. \nTipperary manager James Woodlock made eight changes from the team that beat Limerick\, but their strength in depth was apparent throughout. \nJack O’Sullivan fired Waterford into an early lead but that was quickly cancelled out by John O’Meara\, before a golden goal chance was spurned by Rian McGrath. \nDylan Murphy and Ollie Roche (2) then exchanged frees as the Premier edged in front\, before an excellent catch and strike from Donncha Flannery had it 0-3 apiece. \nA 65 from Murphy and a point from McGrath levelled matters for a fourth occasion\, before Sean Burke and Dara Sullivan also got their names on the scoreboard. \nThe game burst into life on 19 minutes\, as great work from Conor Kennedy saw him tee up McGrath and the Kiladangan forward sent a rocket to the top left corner past Mikey Ware. \nThat was the start of an unanswered 1-4 from the visitors as two from the impressive Josh Moroney\, alongside Éanna Tucker and John O’Meara efforts established a seven-point lead approaching the break. \nMikey Moloney temporarily stopped the rot before Colm Ryan broke out of defence and found the target\, but Waterford found a goal of their own in first-half added time\, Butlerstown forward Cian Delaney showing great control and composure to bury a half-chance to the far corner. Moroney’s third made it 1-11 to 1-6 in favour of Tipperary and finely poised at the interval. \nAnother free from Roche resumed the scoring for the Premier\, before a fine score by Emmet Walsh for Waterford. John O’Meara’s strike was responded to by Jack O’Sullivan\, Adam Cummins and a beauty from Delaney as the gap reduced to three. \nMurphy and Moroney were accurate from frees\, before three successive wides and a misplayed pass when in on goal threatened to derail Déise momentum. Roche and Murphy traded dead balls\, before Delaney reduced arrears to two entering the final quarter. \nA third goal looked increasingly crucial and so it proved on 46 minutes\, O’Meara breaking free and squaring for McGrath to blast home his second green flag. \nTwo Murphy frees kept Waterford within a goal\, before Moroney and Delaney kept their tallies growing. Ollie Roche from play kept the lead at four with as many minutes left. \nA Murphy free had it back to three as three minutes added time were called\, and as the Déise committed men forward – who better than man-of-the-match Moroney to break through and fire a decisive fourth goal\, to maintain Tipperary’s 100% win record this season. \nScorers for Waterford: C Delaney (1-4); D Murphy (0-7); D Flannery\, D Sullivan\, M Moloney\, E Walsh\, J O’Sullivan and A Cummins (0-1 each). SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Tier 3 Preliminary Quarter-Final - Laois 3-13 Limerick 1-14
DESCRIPTION:Laois defeated Limerick by 3-13 to 1-14 in the Electric Ireland All-Ireland Minor Football Tier 3 Preliminary Quarter-Final on Saturday May 9th at Laois Hire O’Moore Park. \n\n\nDefeat for Limerick minor footballers who fall short against Laois https://t.co/ROQIHzA6c0 \n— Limerick Leader Sport / Limerick Live Sport (@LimkLeaderSport) May 9\, 2026 \n \nDefeat for Limerick minor footballers who fall short against Laois \nReport by Joel Slattery for the Limerick Leader newspaper \nOver a month since they exited the Munster Championship\, the ‘Treaty’ travelled to Laois Hire O’Moore Park with the confidence that they played some good football in the provincial competition. \nAnd\, despite a bright first half where they were much the better team\, a disastrous start to the second half put them on the backfoot. \nLimerick started brightly and were on the board after just 30 seconds. Jamie McAuliffe kicked over after good work from Eoin Hogan created the space. \nHogan and Pierse Griffin both kicked good points from play as the visitors led 0-5 to 0-2 after 13 minutes of what was a low-key encounter at a sparsely populated Portlaoise venue. \nA pair of Ollie Stokes scores before a Charlie McCarthy free and Rory O’Dwyer effort stretched the lead to seven inside 20 minutes as Garrett Noonan’s side were by far the superior side in the opening exchanges. \nHowever\, against the run of play\, Laois hit back. \nDavid Timmons finished low and hard after running 50 yards untouched. This halved the deficit with less than five minutes to go until the interval. Michael Brennan rounded off the first half scoring as\, despite playing the better football\, the Shannonsiders only led 0-9 to 1-4 at the change of ends. \nLaois nearly had a second goal in the first minute of the second half – Eoghan Harris’ effort crashed of the post. Seconds later\, Tom Lawlor’s goal-bound effort was well saved by Dean Ryan. \nSean Maree got his side off the mark in the half before Lawlor turned the game on its head. \nHe kicked a wonderful two-pointer before rattling a super goal to give the home side 2-7 to 0-9. \nA McCarthy free got Limerick’s first score of the second half after 42 minutes – by which point Laois had added 1-5 to their first half tally. \nLimerick stuck with it – points from Stokes and Hogan ensured they didn’t fall too far behind. \nThey reduced the gap to just two when Cian Barry – less than a minute after coming in scored a ball – smashing the ball in from the inside of the post from close range. \nHowever\, up again came Laois and when Darragh Brennan got his side’s third goal two minutes from time\, Limerick’s championship hopes were shot. \nSCORERS\nLaois: Tom Lawlor 1-3 (1 x 2pt); David Timmons 1-2; Darragh Brennan 1-1; Sean Maree 0-3; Cian Murphy 0-2 (1 x 2pt); Michael Brennan\, Mikey Regan 0-1 each. \nLimerick: Charlie McCarthy (2pt f\, 1f)\, Ollie Stokes (1f) 0-4 each; Cian Barry 1-0; Eoin Hogan 0-2; Jame McAuliffe\, Pierse Griffin\, Rory O’Dwyer\, Tom Gavin (f) 0-1 each. \nLAOIS: Mark Dowling; Nisun Balogun\, Dan Downey\, Darragh Brennan; Dale Heffernan\, Cian Murphy\, Will McGrath; Cillin Hoey\, Will Craig; Tom Lawler\, Sean Maree\, Eoghan Harris; Michael Brennan\, David Timmons\, Ethan Neilon.\nSubs: Mikey Hand for Ethan Neilon (36 mins); Tadhg Hughes for Sean Maree (temporary\, 42-45 mins); Tadhg Hughes for Eoghan Harris (48 mins); Mikey Regan for Will McGrath (53 mins); Senan O’Brien for Sean Maree (55 mins); Billy Byrne for David Timmons (59 mins) \nLIMERICK: Dean Ryan; Luke McDermott\, Aaron Murphy\, Ronan Conneely; Rory O’Dwyer\, Eoghan Murnane\, Conor O’Dwyer; Cillian Murphy\, Jamie McAuliffe; Eoin Hogan\, Jack Moynihan\, Ollie Stokes; Charlie McCarthy\, Sean O’Flynn\, Pierse Griffin.\nSubs: Kevin McNamara for Jack Moynihan (43 mins); Miguel Azzopardi for Conor O’Dwyer (48 mins); Tom Gavin for Pierse Griffin (48 mins); Cian Barry for Charlie McCarthy (52 mins); Dara Doyle for Aaron Murphy (60 mins). \nREFEREE: Eamon O’Connor (Offaly).

DESCRIPTION:Offaly defeated Clare by 1-17 to 1-14 in Round 1 of the Tailteann Cup Football on Saturday May 9th at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chísóg. \n\n\n🏐 REPORT: @Offaly_GAA produced a defiant display to defeat @GaaClare in the Tailteann Cup #GAA ⬇️ https://t.co/sV2feNQMfU \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) May 9\, 2026 \n \nTailteann Cup: Gritty Offaly defeat Clare \nOffaly 1-17 Clare 1-14 \nReport By Cian O’Connell at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg for GAA.ie \nIn a demanding year packed with defeats\, this was a day when Offaly were defiant. \nConsidering the amount of scoring chances Clare created\, the home team will nurse plenty of regrets\, but Offaly were hearty throughout. That grit and determination was rewarded. \nIt has been a seriously tough campaign for the Faithful\, relegation from Division Two in the Allianz Football League was followed by a disappointing Leinster loss to Laois. In Ennis\, though\, encouraging evidence was available. \nPrompted by Dylan Hyland’s sweet kicking\, Offaly prevailed to earn a place in the Round 2A draw\, and guaranteeing two further matches. \nThe opening period was simply about Offaly’s efficiency as the visitors\, who were backed by a significant breeze\, led 0-9 to 0-4 at the interval. \nOffaly\, aided by a couple of Dylan Hyland two pointers\, struck 0-9 from 11 scoring attempts. Clare\, who had plenty of possession\, weren’t anywhere near as clinical\, registering 0-4 from 15. \nWithout a victory in 2026\, Offaly did enjoy some encouraging moments with Hyland and Keith O’Neill prominent in attack. \nAt the opposite end of the field Aaron Griffin did carry a threat\, rifling over two points before the break. \nAfter the restart Clare began to get some joy in the scoring stakes. Cillian Brennan reduced the deficit before Cormac Murray planted a goal that was fashioned by Ikem Ugwueru. \nGriffin and Murray added points to edge Clare 1-8 to 0-9\, but Offaly were unperturbed. In the 47th minute Nathan Poland’s cute pass located Jordan Hayes\, who fed Shane Tierney to net a goal with his last act. \nClare went in front again courtesy of two Brian McNamara points\, but Offaly stayed the distance. \nLevel at 1-12 each with 11 minutes remaining\, Offaly embarked on a scoring burst of four points without reply. It was a critical spell\, and Clare just couldn’t recover. \nScorers for Offaly: Dylan Hyland 0-9 (2 2pt\, 1 2ptf)\, Shane Tierney 1-0\, Marcas Dalton\, Keith O’Neill\, and Harry Plunkett 0-2 each\, Nathan Poland and Jordan Hayes 0-1 each. \nScorers for Clare: Cormac Murray 1-2 (1 2pt)\, Brian McNamara and Aaron Griffin 0-3 each\, Mark McInerney 0-2 (2pt)\, Alan Sweeney\, Cillian Brennan\, Fionn Kelleher\, and Joe Rafferty 0-1 each. \nOffaly: Conor Melia; Shane O’Toole Greene\, Lee Pearson\, David Dempsey; Cormac Egan\, Diarmuid Egan\, Aaron Leavy; Jack McEvoy\, Jordan Hayes; Kyle Higgins\, Nathan Poland\, Marcas Dalton; Dylan Hyland\, Shane Tierney\, Keith O’Neill.\nSubs: Harry Plunkett for Tierney (47)\, Rory Egan for D Egan (65)\, Darragh Flynn for Poland (58). \nClare: Tristan O’Callaghan; Manus Doherty\, Ikem Ugwueru\, Ronan Lanigan; Brendy Rouine\, Cillian Brennan\, Alan Sweeney; Brian McNamara\, Josh Vaughan; Fionn Kelleher\, Conor Meaney\, Gavin Murray; Mark McInerney\, Cormac Murray\, Aaron Griffin.\nSubs: Morgan Garry for Doherty (7-8)\, Joe Rafferty for Kelleher (52)\, Daniel Walsh for G Murray (57)\, Shane Griffin for Vaughan (62)\, Jamie Stack for Sweeney (65). \nReferee: Brendan Griffin (Kerry).

SUMMARY:2026 Tailteann Cup Football - Wexford 2-19 Limerick 1-11
DESCRIPTION:Wexford defeated Limerick by 2-19 to 1-11 in Round 1 of the Tailteann Cup Football on Saturday May 9th at Chadwicks Wexford Park. \n\nTailteann Cup: Impressive Wexford triumph \nWexford 2-19 Limerick 1-11 \nReport By Ronan Fagan at Chadwicks Wexford Park for GAA.ie \nDefender Liam O’Connor and Michael Kinsella pounced with early second-half goals as Wexford outstripped last year’s beaten finalists Limerick in Saturday’s Tailteann Cup opener at sunny Chadwicks Wexford Park. \nThe result represented sweet revenge for Wexford who had succumbed to Jimmy Lee’s charges in their previous three encounters\, including last year’s Division Four league final and Tailteann Cup quarter-final. \nJohn Hegarty’s crew capitalised upon first advantage of the wind to build a tidy 0-12 to 1-3 interval lead\, before putting the game beyond doubt with their quick-fire second-half goals. \nWexford were hurting after their heavy Leinster championship exit to Louth\, but were significantly boosted by regaining goalie and two-point maestro Darragh Brooks from injury. \nAnd the orange-flag machine drew first-blood for the wind-assisted locals when slotting a two-pointer free in the third minute\, before veteran Ben Brosnan followed in kind from play two minutes later (0-4 to 0-0). \nBrooks further underlined his value when denying Cillian Fahy a sixth-minute goal\, before Seán Nolan and Brosnan singles swelled Wexford’s account after 13 minutes. \nLimerick had kicked three early wides\, but Rory O’Brien eventually got them off the mark after 20 minutes\, 0-6 to 0-1. \nWhile Fahy and the industrious Barry Coleman made further additions for the Shannonsiders\, Wexford eased 0-12 to 0-3 clear after 27 minutes. \nBrosnan supplied a second two-pointer as Cathal Kehoe\, Tom Byrne\, Seán Nolan and Páraic Hughes drove further daylight between the sides. \nBut Limerick gained a 33rd minute lifeline when an effort from Eliah Riordan was snapped upon on the edge of the Wexford square by defender Mark McCarthy\, who calmly slotted home to cut the gap to 0-12 to 1-3 at half-time. \nHowever\, Limerick prospects took a considerable nose-dive after Wexford slotted two goals without reply inside four minutes of the resumption. \nWexford defenders Glen Malone and Liam O’Connor combined for the first in the 37th minute – Malone from the left end-line finding O’Connor to crash to the net. \nMichael Kinsella gained satisfaction following his near miss in the opening period as he put the margin to 2-12 to 1-3 after being located unmarked by a cross from Mark Rossiter. \nLimerick attempted to resurrect something when closing to within 2-13 to 1-9 after 52 minutes courtesy of two-pointers from James Naughton\, Barry Coleman and Eliah Riordan. \nBut Wexford quickly reasserted\, with Liam O’Connor being denied a second goal\, before they gained a two-man numerical advantage after Limerick sub Peter Nash was red-carded and Mark McCarthy sin-binned. \nLate scores from Mark Rossiter and sub Robbie Brooks crowned a statement-victory for the Model County crew. \nScorers for Wexford: Ben Brosnan 0-6 (2tp)\, Darragh Brooks 0-3 (1tp)\, Liam O’Connor\, Michael Kinsella 1-0 each\, Páraic Hughes\, Tom Byrne\, Seán Nolan 0-2 each\, Glen Malone\, Cathal Kehoe\, Mark Rossiter\, Robbie Brooks 0-1 each \nScorers for Limerick: James Naughton 0-4 (2tpf)\, Barry Coleman 0-3 (1tp)\, Mark McCarthy 1-0\, Eliah Riordan 0-2 (1tp)\, Rory O’Brien\, Cillian Fahy 0-1 each. \nWexford: Darragh Brooks; Gavin Sheehan\, Eoin Porter\, Liam O’Connor; Glen Malone\, Eoghan Nolan\, Dylan Furlong; Liam Coleman\, Cathal Kehoe; Michael Kinsella\, Páraic Hughes\, Mark Rossiter; Ben Brosnan\, Tom Byrne\, Seán Nolan.\nSubs: Shane Doyle for Porter (57)\, Martin O’Connor for Hughes (59)\, Aaron Breen for Kinsella (62)\, Robbie Brooks for Brosnan (62)\, Patrick Breen for Malone (65). \nLimerick: Jeffrey Alfred; Seán Kilbridge\, Cormac Woulfe\, Diarmuid Buckley; Mark McCarthy\, Killian Ryan\, Tony McCarthy; Barry Coleman\, Colm McSweeney; Danny Neville\, Eliah Riordan\, Cillian Fahy; Rory O’Brien\, James Naughton. Connolly missed one\, but Mark Coleman buried the decisive 61st-minute effort at a sold-out Azzurri Walsh Park. \n\nMark Coleman of Cork scores the only goal of the game from a penalty \n\nTHE DRAMA CONTINUES…😲💥 \nJack Fagan goes off with a black card ⬛️Mark Coleman is the man of the hour scoring a perfect penalty 🟩⛳️@WaterfordGAA@OfficialCorkGAA#WATvCOR pic.twitter.com/5j6KwibWsC \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) May 9\, 2026 \n \n\nWith their first mission complete\, the Rebels can only be denied a Munster final berth by Limerick and Clare winning out and the Banner completing a significant turnaround on score difference. \nWinless Waterford are not yet eliminated\, but appear in grave danger of finishing last for the fifth time in seven seasons since the round-robin system was introduced. \nThey led until the 58th minute of a match that was level 12 times. Injuries dented their hopes as Ian Kenny\, Iarlaith Daly\, and\, most seriously\, Stephen Bennett all limped off in the first half. \nCork made one late change as Hugh O’Connor came in for his full championship debut in place of Barry Walsh\, who lined out in the U20 loss to Clare on Wednesday. \nThere were a couple of switches from the named team as Tim O’Mahony went to centre-back. Darragh Fitzgibbon started at midfield alongside Tommy O’Connell\, but soon swapped with O’Connor into the half-forwards. \nRobbed of his defensive spine of Ciarán Joyce and Robert Downey\, Damien Cahalane filled Cork’s full-back vacancy. He marked Stephen Bennett until Seán Walsh relocated to the edge of the square. \nFor Waterford\, Seán Mackey and Kevin Mahony’s influence in the second-half turnaround against Tipperary were recognised with starts in place of Darragh Lyons and Shane Bennett. \nThe hosts won the toss and took the wind. Cork got off to a brisk start as all three of their full-forward line\, Connolly\, Hayes\, and William Buckley\, got off the mark. \nWaterford got in for an early goal chance after good work by Jack Fagan. Seán Walsh broke a long ball for Dessie Hutchinson\, but Patrick Collins did well to save. \nAfter three in a row from Waterford\, including a Jamie Barron brace\, Hayes and O’Connor restored Cork’s lead. \nNo other Cork player would join those four on the scoresheet for the remainder of the half. Waterford would have eight different players find their range before the break. \nThe pattern of trading points continued for the rest of the first half. Calum Lyons found space as a puck-out option for three points. Stephen Bennett nailed two frees. Seán Walsh completed the set of forwards scoring for a two-point lead\, their biggest yet\, in the 29th minute. \nAll the while\, Hayes was in electric form. He scored three in three minutes to take his total to 0-5. Waterford soon swapped Mark Fitzgerald across onto the Hurler of the Year nominee and handed Aaron O’Neill a different assignment. \nIn the 33rd minute\, Hayes was wrestled to the ground by Fitzgerald under O’Connell’s dropping ball. Seán Stack took a moment before awarding the penalty and sending Fitzgerald to the line on a black card. \nIt was the second game in a row that Fitzgerald had conceded a penalty\, and the second time in a fortnight that Billy Nolan bailed him out\, diving to his left to save Connolly’s unconvincing effort. \nOn the counter\, Stephen Bennett went over on his ankle in pain and was helped off\, using his hurley as a crutch. \nThey shared four points from there to half-time\, with Hayes\, now being picked up by Paddy Leavey\, slotting his sixth. \nWaterford led 0-14 to 0-13 as Cork took the wind for the second half. They had doubled their lead by the time they returned to 15 men. Barron’s point ensured they won the sin-bin period by 0-5 to 0-4. \nCork missed a couple more goal chances to jump ahead. Connolly set up one point-blank opportunity for Hayes before creating one of his own. Both were fired wide of the near post. \nMahony and Mackey twice pushed Waterford three ahead. When Fitzgibbon pulled one back in the 46th minute\, he was their fifth player to hit the target and the first new scorer since the 10th minute. \nEoin Downey got back to block a Seán Walsh shot at goal and Cork began to nibble into the deficit. A Fitzgibbon point was followed by a couple of Connolly frees. \nAfter a Walsh settler\, Cork struck three in a row\, through Buckley\, Shane Barrett\, and Connolly\, to edge ahead by 0-23 to 0-22. \nThey added a goal when Connolly was taken down by Jack Fagan\, and the Waterford wing-back was sent to the sin bin. Nolan couldn’t make it a hat-trick as Coleman came forward to bury the penalty. \nPatrick Collins soon had to make a flying save from Peter Hogan to keep Cork in the ascendancy. \nWaterford scored three of the four points during the 10 minutes down to 14 men\, all from Hutchinson frees\, meaning they entered the four added minutes within two points. \nCork saw it out with Séamus Harnedy’s point followed by a Fitzgibbon free. \nScorers for Cork: Alan Connolly 0-9 (6fs); Brian Hayes 0-7; Mark Coleman 1-0 (pen); Darragh Fitzgibbon (1f)\, William Buckley 0-3 each; Hugh O’Connor 0-2; Shane Barrett\, Séamus Harnedy 0-1 each. \nScorers for Waterford: Dessie Hutchinson 0-8 (7fs); Calum Lyons\, Jamie Barron\, Kevin Mahony 0-3 each\, Seán Mackey\, Jack Prendergast\, Stephen Bennett (2f)\, Seán Walsh 0-2 each. \nCork: Patrick Collins; Seán O’Donoghue\, Damien Cahalane\, Niall O’Leary; Eoin Downey\, Tim O’Mahony\, Mark Coleman; Tommy O’Connell\, Darragh Fitzgibbon; Hugh O’Connor\, Shane Barrett\, Diarmuid Healy; Alan Connolly\, William Buckley\, Brian Hayes.\nSubs: Ger Millerick for O’Donoghue (30-h-t\, blood)\, Robbie O’Flynn for O’Connor (51)\, Cormac O’Brien for Downey (55\, inj)\, Séamus Harnedy for Healy (59)\, Pádraig Power for Connolly (70). \nWaterford: Billy Nolan; Aaron O’Neill\, Mark Fitzgerald\, Ian Kenny; Iarlaith Daly\, Paddy Leavey\, Jack Fagan; Seán Mackey\, Jamie Barron; Seán Walsh\, Jack Prendergast\, Calum Lyons; Dessie Hutchinson\, Stephen Bennett\, Kevin Mahony.\nSubs: Conor Keane for Kenny (20\, inj)\, Shane Bennett for Daly (22\, inj)\, Peter Hogan for Stephen Bennett (35+1\, inj)\, Michael Kiely for Mahony (64)\, Darragh Lyons for Mackey (65). \nReferee: Seán Stack (Dublin). \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be streamed live on GAA+. \n\nTicket Update \n\nSaturday's Munster Senior Hurling Championship Round 3 game between@WaterfordGAA & @OfficialCorkGAA \nin Azzurri Walsh Park at 6pm is now SOLD OUT.https://t.co/kpyrk6pbdD pic.twitter.com/Ad4sQRJDAr \n— Munster GAA / Comhairle na Mumhan (@MunsterGAA) May 7\, 2026 \n \n\nTeam News \n\n🚨TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT🚨Peter Queally and his management have announced the team to face Cork in Round 3 of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship! \n🗓️Saturday 9th May @ 6PM🏟️Azzurri Walsh Park🥎 Waterford v Cork \nBest of luck to the team and management. pic.twitter.com/KGxZTwspyI \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) May 7\, 2026 \n \nWaterford: Billy Nolan; Ian Kenny\, Mark Fitzgerald\, Aaron O’Neill; Jack Fagan\, Iarlaith Daly\, Calum Lyons; Paddy Leavey\, Sean Mackey; Jack Prendergast\, Stephen Bennett\, Jamie Barron; Dessie Hutchinson\, Sean Walsh\, Kevin Mahony.\nSubs: Alex Reade\, Conor Keane\, Tadhg de Burca\, Darragh Lyons\, Austin Gleeson\, Shane Bennett\, Mikey Kiely\, Peter Hogan\, Patrick Curran\, Reuben Halloran\, Seamus Fitzgerald. \n\nThe Cork Senior Hurling team to play Waterford in Round 3 of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship has been announced. \nSaturday’s game throws in at 6:00pm in Walsh Park\, Waterford. \nYou can read the full team announcement here: https://t.co/AuS3R22dOv pic.twitter.com/RCQRvWNdxD \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) May 7\, 2026 \n \nCork: Patrick Collins; Niall O’Leary\, Damien Cahalane\, Sean O’Donoghue; Tommy O’Connell\, Eoin Downey\, Mark Coleman; Tim O’Mahony\, Darragh Fitzgibbon; Diarmuid Healy\, Shane Barrett\, Barry Walsh; Alan Connolly\, William Buckley\, Brian Hayes.\nSubs: Paudie O’Sullivan\, Ger Millerick\, Cormac O’Brien\, Ethan Twomey\, Brian O’Sullivan\, Robbie O’Flynn\, Hugh O’Connor\, Shane Kingston\, Séamus Harnedy\, Pádraig Power\, Alan Walsh. \n\n\nMunster Senior Hurling Championship\nSaturday 9th May 2026\nWaterford v Cork\nAzzurri Walsh Park\nThrow-in: 6pm \nWaterford GAA are delighted to welcome spectators to Azzurri Walsh Park for the third round of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship. SUMMARY:2026 TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship - Kerry 1-16 Cork 0-8
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Cork by 1-16 to 0-8 in the TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship on Sunday May 10th at Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney. \n\nKerry 1-16 Cork 0-8 \nBy Dan Kearney \nA sensational second half performance where they outscored Cork by 1-9 to 0-2 points propelled Kerry to the Munster final at a sun-soaked Fitzgerald Stadium on Sunday in the curtain-raiser to the men’s final between the two counties. \nSiofra O’Shea struck 1-3 and Niamh Ní Chonchúir 0-3 as they put a shell-shocked Cork outfit to the sword. \nKerry played with a strong breeze in the first half and threatened early when a lightning move involving Ní Chonchúir and O’Shea saw Caoimhe Redmond produce a great save from Leah McMahon\, although the corner forward did follow up with a good point. \nIt was then Cork’s turn to slice open the Kerry defence and Mary Ellen Bolger got down smartly to save from Rachel Leahy although Emma Cleary did follow up to score the first of her two first half points. \nKerry popped over two points on the trot through Niamh Carmody and a Jadyn Lucey punch over. Katie Quirke replied for Cork\, but Ní Chonchuir did the same for Kerry at the other end with a monster effort in the 15th minute. \nThen Cork took over and started running at Kerry. Points followed from Emma Cleary\, and two Quirke frees\, although McMahon did force Richmond into her second good save in the 23rd minute. \nKerry rose again and with the wind strengthening hassled and harried Cork for all their worth\, scoring the final three points of the half. Lucey with her second\, and Kerry’s first in 14 minutes\, was followed by Ní Chonchúir and an Anna Galvin punch over to see the hosts take a 0-7 to 0-6 lead in at the half time break. A slender lead\, it was felt\, considering Cork would have the strong breeze for the second half. \nThe elements made no difference to the home side as they tagged on the first five points of the second half through the brilliant Ní Chonchúir\, Emma Costello\, and two O’Shea punch overs and substitute Danielle O’Leary with another\, her side’s eighth on the trot. \nThen\, in the 46th minute came Kerry’s goal when O’Shea sliced through the Cork defence before confidently burying the ball to the back of the net. \nAishling O’Connell\, O’Leary\, O’Shea from a free and McMahon raised further white flags before Cork finally troubled the scoreboard operator with two Quirke frees in the 57th minute. \nIt was all mere consolation though as Kerry strolled home to victory. \n\n \nNiamh Carmody of Kerry races clear of Sadbh McGoldrick of Cork and kicks a point during the TG4 Munster Senior Ladies Football Championship round 3 match between Kerry and Cork at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney\, Kerry. SUMMARY:2026 Tailteann Cup Football - Tipperary 0-17 Sligo 1-12
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Sligo by 0-17 to 1-12 in Round 1 of the Tailteann Cup Football on Sunday May 10th at Markievicz Park Sligo. \n\nTailteann Cup: O’Connor shoots Tipp to victory over Sligo \nTipperary 0-17 (0-4-9) Sligo 1-12 (1-2-8) \nReport By Stephen Barry at Markievicz Park for GAA.ie \nAt the fifth time of asking\, Tipperary got their Tailteann Cup campaign off to a winning start by overturning familiar foes Sligo at Markievicz Park. \nSeán O’Connor scored six points from play as the Premier dictated the kick-out battle and managed the clock well before holding off a late home comeback against a trio of two-point equaliser efforts. \nThe victory marked Tipp’s first championship victory over the Yeats County at the fifth attempt\, following hot on the heels of 16- and five-point defeats in the past two seasons. \nThey will play another round 1 winner for a bye straight through to the quarter-finals. Sligo will meet a fellow round 1 loser in the last chance saloon. \nThere was a series of late changes to the named teams. Ross Doherty and Cian Lally came into the Sligo side for Eddie McGuinness and James Donlon. When Luke Towey pulled up injured in the warm-up\, Donlon was restored to start. \nEoin Craddock was drafted into the Tipp team for Kieran Costello\, who was ill. Their bench was boosted by the returns to fitness of Steven O’Brien\, Luke Boland\, and Jimmy Feehan\, who was togging out for the first time this year. \nBacked by the wind\, the visitors booted four first-half orange flags. They began with five unanswered points. O’Connor’s handpassed effort was followed by Micheál Freaney and Daithí Hogan two-pointers. \nShane Deignan got Sligo on the board in the eighth minute. Cian Smith kicked an immediate response. \nTipp could’ve hammered home their advantage in the 14th minute. O’Connor intercepted a short kick-out and went for the jugular\, only to drill across the goal and wide from a tight angle. \nSligo had three of the next four scores\, with Niall Murphy converting from play and a free. Tipp’s reply was an O’Connor two-pointer. \nA Craddock fisted score and a sublime second orange flag from O’Connor\, slaloming past the tight-marking Luke Casserly to split the posts\, moved Tipp seven clear. \nSligo closed with a well-timed goal. From a quick sideline\, Alan McLoughlin\, Doherty\, and Murphy were involved before Lee Deignan sent the ball through Shane Garland’s legs. \nThe first five Sligo attacks ended in four wides and an Eoin O’Connell block. Charlie King fisted over Tipp’s sole attack of the opening 10 minutes. \nGavin Gorman got Sligo going\, but a 50-metre advancement cost them a point\, to Smith\, and O’Connor added his sixth. Emmet Moloney helped to protect their six-point cushion with the next score. \nThey controlled the clock with some patient possession play\, and were helped by Sligo butchering the final pass for two goal chances. \nA Murphy point was cancelled out by a fine effort from standout midfielder Joe Higgins. \nSligo got back within one score with nine minutes to play. Pat Spillane’s high\, hanging two-pointer was followed by a close-range Murphy single for 0-16 to 1-10. \nThe pacy King settled Tipp\, but Spillane’s second orange flag made it a two-point game with three minutes remaining. \nThey had three attempts for an equaliser\, but McLoughlin fired wide before Murphy (free) and Spillane shots dropped short. \nScorers for Sligo: Niall Murphy (1f)\, Pat Spillane (2 2pt) 0-4 each; Lee Deignan 1-0; Gavin Gorman\, Darragh Cummins\, Alan McLoughlin (f)\, Shane Deignan 0-1 each. \nScorers for Tipperary: Seán O’Connor 0-6 (2 2pt); Charlie King\, Micheál Freaney (2pt)\, Cian Smith (1f)\, Daithí Hogan (2pt) 0-2 each; Emmet Moloney\, Joe Higgins\, Eoin Craddock 0-1 each. \nTIPPERARY: Shane Garland; Mark Corcoran\, Eoin O’Connell\, Jack O’Neill; Emmet Moloney\, James Morris\, Charlie King; Joe Higgins\, Paudie Feehan; Killian Butler\, Micheál Freaney\, Eoin Craddock; Cian Smith\, Seán O’Connor\, Daithí Hogan.\nSubs: Darragh O’Connor for Higgins (29-33\, blood)\, Paddy Creedon for Smith (56)\, Luke Boland for Butler (59)\, Steven O’Brien for Craddock (69). \nSLIGO: Aidan Devaney; Jack Lavin\, Luke Casserly\, Tommy Ross; Daire O’Boyle\, Conor Sheridan\, James Donlon; Gavin Gorman\, Darragh Cummins; Ross Doherty\, Alan McLoughlin\, Lee Deignan; Cian Lally\, Niall Murphy\, Shane Deignan.\nSubs: Paul Kilcoyne for Gorman (23-24\, blood)\, David Quinn for S Deignan (43)\, Pat Spillane for O’Boyle (49)\, Eddie McGuinness for Donlon (56)\, Kyle Cawley for Lally (58)\, Mark McDaniel for Cummins (65). \nReferee: Kieran Eannetta (Tyrone). \n\nTeam News \n\nNiall Fitzgerald and his management team have named their Senior side for this Sunday’s Tailteann Cup Round 1 clash with Sligo. https://t.co/WTRHMtFC09 pic.twitter.com/ZKYy2DUHLI \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) May 8\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Tailteann Cup Football - London 5-12 Waterford 0-10
DESCRIPTION:London defeated Waterford by 5-12 to 0-10 in Round 1 of the Tailteann Cup Football on Sunday May 10th at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field. \n\nTailteann Cup: London impress against Waterford \nWATERFORD 0-10 LONDON 5-12 \nReport By Jordan Norris at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field for GAA.ie \nLondon overwhelmed Waterford with a ruthless five-goal display at Fraher Field\, racing into an early lead and never looking back in a commanding 17-point victory. The Exiles produced an impressive attacking performance\, with five different goalscorers and ten players contributing to the scoreboard\, while Waterford’s struggles continued as they extended their winless run to 14 months and 14 competitive games. \nWaterford suffered a major setback before throw-in with the loss of captain and talisman Conor Murray\, and matters worsened almost immediately when London struck for a goal inside the opening minute. Joe McGill’s effort slipped through the hands of goalkeeper Paudie Hunt and was judged to have crossed the line. Michael O’Brien opened Waterford’s account with a free\, but London quickly asserted control through scores from Kristian Healy and another devastating goal on eight minutes. After a swift counterattack\, Shay Rafter burst through and fired past Hunt to give the visitors a six-point advantage. \nAlan Dunwoody responded with a fine point to keep Waterford in touch\, but the hosts missed a crucial chance when O’Brien’s goal attempt was saved by Andrew Walsh. London punished the missed opportunity almost immediately. A misplaced kickout allowed McGill to set up Daniel Clarke\, who teed up James Davis for a clinical third goal. \nWaterford’s problems deepened when Dunwoody received a black card following an off-the-ball incident. Although O’Brien converted another free\, London remained relentless. Sean O’Donoghue surged down the right flank on 32 minutes and squared for David Gouldson to finish expertly for London’s fourth goal. Waterford then squandered another golden opportunity before halftime when Caoimhin Walsh rounded the goalkeeper but dragged his shot wide. At the break\, London held a commanding 4-1 to 0-4 lead. \nThe visitors continued to dominate after the restart. Gouldson added a point before Davis curled over a superb score to underline London’s superiority. Stephen Curry and Aaron Ryan responded for Waterford\, while Dunwoody converted a free after Daire Rooney was black-carded\, but London remained comfortably ahead thanks to scores from Ciaran Diver\, Rafter\, and Liam Gallagher. \nRafter’s second goal stretched the gap further\, leaving Waterford with little hope of a comeback. London maintained their intensity in the closing stages\, with Henry Walsh contributing three points in an impressive cameo and McGill also adding to the tally. Their fifth goal finally arrived in stoppage time when Finbarr Crowley reacted quickest after a shot rebounded off the post and finished to the net. \nLate scores from Dunwoody and Ryan (2) offered little consolation for Waterford\, who were thoroughly outplayed from start to finish. \nFor London\, it was a landmark and emphatic victory built on clinical finishing\, relentless pressure\, and dominance across the field. SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship - Cork 3-19 Waterford 1-12
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Waterford by 3-19 to 1-12 in Round 3 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship Phase 2 on Monday May 11th at Páirc Uí Rinn. \n\n\nClinical Cork minors too strong for Waterford as Munster final against Kerry awaits https://t.co/jlsuHn4sli \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) May 11\, 2026 \n \nClinical Cork minors too strong for Waterford as Munster final against Kerry awaits \nReport by Barry O’Mahony courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MFC: Cork 3-19 (3-3-13) Waterford 1-12 (1-2-8) \nCork eased past Waterford in the Electric Ireland Munster MFC Phase 2 Round 3 clash at Páirc Uí Rinn on Monday evening. \nWith their place in the provincial decider already secured\, this was a workmanlike outing from Keith Ricken’s side\, even with five changes from the excellent win over Kerry a week earlier. \nIt underlined the strength in depth of the panel. The Leesiders had the contest effectively put to bed early on\, leading by 12 at the interval despite playing into a stiff wind\, and they maintained full control thereafter to win by 13. Their power\, pace and clinical finishing were simply too much for the visitors. \nCork will now face Kerry in the Munster final after the Kingdom overcame Clare in what was effectively a semi-final\, also played on Monday evening. \nWaterford enjoyed a strong wind advantage in the opening half\, but they were always facing an uphill battle given the quality of the opposition. After two early wides\, Cork opened the scoring through Joe Miskella after two minutes. Moments later\, Eoghan Ahern was denied a goal when his shot cannoned off the post following a Mark Power pass. \nPoints from Kieran O’Shea and Alex O’Herlihy followed before Cork struck for their first goal six minutes in\, Riley O’Donovan finishing neatly after a clever Jacob Barry pass. Miskella added another point before Peadar Kelly’s surging run ended with the defender calmly picking his spot to the net\, leaving Cork 2-4 to 0-0 ahead after 14 minutes. \nWaterford finally got off the mark a minute later through a tidy Dara Gough free\, followed soon after by a fine Liam O’Grady two-pointer. Despite those scores\, Cork remained firmly in control. They led 2-7 to 0-4 after 23 minutes before Gough added another two-pointer\, showing Waterford’s battling qualities which persisted to the end. \nO’Grady trimmed the gap to six\, but Cork struck for their third goal two minutes before the break when O’Herlihy raised a green flag\, again assisted by Barry\, making it 3-7 to 0-7. Cork then kicked the last three points of the half\, with Morgan Corkery among the scorers\, to lead 3-10 to 0-7 at the interval. \nWith the wind at their backs\, Cork were slow to get going after the restart. Gough tapped over a free as Waterford enjoyed a spell of possession\, though without making major inroads on the scoreboard. \nA Conrad Murphy two-pointer settled Cork after a sloppy period\, and goalkeeper Rory Twohig produced an excellent save to deny Jack Casey a goal. \nScores were scarce in the third quarter\, but Cork remained in a commanding position. They led 3-16 to 0-9 after 46 minutes before Twohig converted a two-pointer from a free\, shortly after Barry also landed a two-point effort. \nWaterford responded with 1-3 without reply\, substitute Eoin Lavery finishing well for their goal as they closed to 3-18 to 1-12 on 59 minutes\, but the game had long since drifted beyond them. Cork substitute Kevin O’Donovan clipped over a superb point from a tight angle as the Rebels finished strongly. \nJob done. SUMMARY:2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship - Kerry 1-21 Clare 0-11
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Clare by 1-21 to 0-11 in Round 3 of the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship Phase 2 on Monday May 11th at Austin Stack Park Tralee. \n\n\nJack Collins sparks Kerry surge to set up Cork rematch in Munster MFC final https://t.co/kiBlqBPhSk \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) May 11\, 2026 \n \nJack Collins sparks Kerry surge to set up Cork rematch in Munster MFC final \nReport by Murt Murphy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster MFC: Kerry 1-21 Clare 0-11 \nFollowing a ten-point defeat at the hands of Cork for the first time since 2023\, Kerry minor boss Marc Ó Sé was forced into making sweeping changes to both his starting 15 and the squad itself for this meeting with Clare in Austin Stack Park. \nKerry made six changes in personnel from the Cork game with Christian O’Donnell\, Sean Clifford\, Tom Slattery\, Sam Scroope\, Jack Collins and Odhran Buckley making way for Seán Sargent\, Daithí Laide\, Daniel Cronin\, Cillian O’Donoghue\, Fionn O’Dowd and Cillian Moynihan. \nClare had been buoyed by their Darcy Cup win over Waterford in Lemybrien so this was a must win game for both sides and a Munster MFC semi-final in all but name. Manager Joe Hayes made one change to their starting team with Jack Lavin replacing John Greene at right half back. \nClare had a strong breeze to their backs in the opening half and while the Banner retired on level terms at the break\, they butchered two excellent goal chances that if taken\, then it might well have placed a different reflection on what occurred in the second period. \nKerry were dominant at midfield with Maidhc Ó Sé ruling the aerial collisions while Daithí Laide was making some incisive incursions from wing back but the Kerry attack was being met by staunch defending by Caelum Killeen and Stephen O’Neill. \nFionn O’Dowd opened the Kingdom’s account with an early point and by the tenth minute Kerry had built a 0-4 to 0-0 lead thanks to points from Lúc Mac Gearailt\, Conor Clifford and Daragh Keane (f) but then Clare struck for the first of their two-pointers from Thomas Dillon which was followed by a point from Rian Cotter and another monster two-pointer from Sean O’Callaghan. \nSuddenly\, Clare were back in the contest on 0-5 apiece but points from Cillian O’Donoghue and Mac Gearailt saw Kerry move two clear but Cotter and O’Callaghan with points ensured that the sides retired level on 0-8 apiece at the interval. \nClare had a goal chance straight after half-time when Sean O’Callaghan struck the post and the Kerry defence scrambled the ball clear. \nBut once Collins from Ballymac entered the fray in the 34th minute\, the game changed in Kerry’s favour as he kicked two points and provided assists for two more from Danny Murphy and Danny Lane and suddenly Kerry were 0-12 to 0-8 in front and Clare just could not contain the Ballymac dynamo. \nBut Kerry did not enough to suggest they can overturn Cork in the final as they were only 0-15 to 0-10 clear with ten to go. \nClare lost Niall Burke to a black card and Kerry made hay in the evening sunshine\, outscoring Clare 1-6 to 0-1 with Danny Lane rattling the Clare net in added time but despite the winning margin\, Cork are unlikely to be quaking in their boots for now. \nScorers for Kerry: D Lane (1-3)\, D Keane (3f) and F O’Dowd (0-4 each). SUMMARY:2026 Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 All-Ireland Football Championship Semi-Final - Kerry 3-17 Roscommon 0-17
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Roscommon by 3-17 to 0-17 after extra time in the Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 All-Ireland Football Championship Semi-Final on Wednesday May 13th at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles. \n\n\n🏐 REPORT: @Kerry_Official GAA finished with a flourish against @RoscommonGAA in the Dalata Hotel Group All-Ireland U20 Football Championship #GAA ⬇️ https://t.co/Qddo301haH \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) May 13\, 2026 \n \nDalata Hotel Group: Kerry defeat Roscommon after extra-time \nDalata Hotel Group All-Ireland U20 Football Championship Semi-Final \nKerry 3-17 Roscommon 0-17 \nReport By Kevin Egan at FBD Semple Stadium for GAA.ie \nIt may been their stellar inside forward line that caught the eye in the Munster final\, but in this contest\, the Kerry U-20s proved that they have plenty of graft to go with their craft\, as they produced a diligent and disciplined defensive performance to edge their way past Roscommon. \nThe record books will show that the Tralee trio of Daniel Kirby\, Paddy Lane and Tomás Kennedy combined to score 3-10 between them\, but each of those goals came in the second half of extra-time\, and it was the score after 60 minutes (0-11 each) that was a better summation of the type of game that was played. \nFor most of that 60 minutes\, Kerry were the better team – but it has felt like Roscommon teams of all ages have forgotten how to lose matches since knockout championships began in 2026\, and the Rossies looked like they might have pulled another one out of the fire when Ruairí Kilcline fired the ball over the bar on the turn in stoppage time. \nSix points down with eight minutes to play\, having scored a mere 0-5 in that opening 52 minutes\, Roscommon finished with five scores in succession\, including a Charlie O’Carroll two-point free. \nIf it wasn’t for a brilliant strip tackle by Dara Stack to rob Stephen Tighe on the last attack\, they might even have stolen it inside the hour. \nAt 0-15 to 0-12 after the first half of extra-time\, Roscommon had the strong wind to come for the last 10 minutes and were still right there. Kirby took a pass from Jack Joy\, who made a transformational impact after coming off the bench\, and fired low through a sea of Roscommon legs and into the net\, and Kerry never looked back. \nThe scoreline was incredibly harsh on the backs of both teams\, who were exceptional. Roscommon’s Michael Gillooly and Nikita Berzins stood out against elite forwards in Lane and Kennedy\, while Kerry’s discipline and diligence as a collective unit was exceptional. \nThere was plenty of attacking class on show from the star forwards in the early exchanges\, with Roscommon opening the scoring on foot of a lovely jinking run and dummy hop from John McGuinness\, while Kerry hit back through team captain Paddy Lane. \nFrom that moment until half-time\, it was a defensive masterclass from Kerry\, who went 25 minutes without conceding a score. \nKirby\, Jack O’Sullivan and Gearóid White put in a world of work in the trenches\, with Gearóid Evans the lynchpin of a watertight full back line. \nThere was still six in it approaching the end\, as Kerry always seemed to come up with a score when they needed it. Gearóid White\, Tomás Kennedy and Kirby all scored in response to Roscommon points when they happened and it was only at the finale when Roscommon mounted a final surge\, building on points from McGuinness and a Charlie O’Carroll double. \nThey nearly got there too\, but Stack’s tackle was yet another brilliant defensive play\, and the one that tipped the scale. \nScorers for Kerry: Paddy Lane 1-4 (0-2f)\, Daniel Kirby 1-3\, Tomás Kennedy 1-3\, Jack Gearóid White 0-3 (1tp)\, O’Sullivan 0-1\, Jack Joy 0-1\, Dara Hogan 0-1\, Máirtín McKivergan 0-1. \nScorers for Roscommon: Charlie O’Carroll 0-6 (0-2f\, 2tpf)\, John McGuinness 0-4\, Ruairí Kilcline 0-3 (0-1f)\, Niall Heneghan 0-1\, Dean Casey 0-1\, Patrick Gaynor 0-1 (45)\, Conor Grogan 0-1f. \nKerry: Kacper Robak; Dara Stack\, Gearóid Evans\, Michael Lynch; Eoin O’Flaherty\, Aodhna Ó Beaglaoich\, Pa Walsh; Evan Boyle\, Daniel Kirby; Mark O’Carroll\, Gearóid White\, Jack O’Sullivan; Ronan Carroll\, Tomás Kennedy\, Paddy Lane.\nSubs: Seán Ó Cuinn for O’Carroll (42)\, Máirtín McKivergan for Walsh (47)\, Dara Hogan for Carroll (52)\, David Sargent for O’Flaherty (57)\, Jack Joy for O’Sullivan (60+4)\, Paudie Finucane for Boyle (66)\, John Curtin for White (74)\, Isaac Brosnan for Stack (77). \nRoscommon: Patrick Gaynor; Diarmuid O’Higgins\, Nikita Berzins\, Michael Gillooly; Colin Murray\, Keelan Kelly\, Eoghan Carthy; Niall Heneghan\, Cathal Enright; Cathal McKeon\, John McGuinness\, Eoin Collins; John Curran\, Charlie O’Carroll\, Dean Casey.\nSubs: Ruairí Kilcline for Curran (37)\, Declan Kennedy for McKeon (39)\, Kevin Hester for Casey (49)\, David Higgins for Collins (51)\, Stephen Tighe for O’Carroll (60+2)\, Conor Grogan for Murray (full-time)\, Collins for Carthy (HT in ET)\, Casey for Tighe (HT in ET)\, O’Carroll for Kennedy (76). \nReferee: Seamus Mulhare (Laois). \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐 TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Dalata Hotel Group All-Ireland U20 Football Championship \nKerry play Roscommon in the Dalata Hotel Group All-Ireland U20 Football Championship Semi-Final \nFor full team news: https://t.co/W3L70Pdqdj#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/Hk7vgxbqqT \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) May 12\, 2026 \n \nKERRY: K Robak (Dr Crokes); M Lynch (Milltown/Castlemaine)\, G Evans (Keel)\, D Stack (Kilcummin); E O’Flaherty (Ardfert)\, A Ó Beaglaoich (An Ghaeltacht)\, P Walsh (Listowel Emmets); E Boyle (Ballyduff)\, D Kirby (Austin Stacks); J O’Sullivan (Kenmare Shamrocks)\, G White (John Mitchels)\, M O’Carroll (Dr Crokes); R Carroll (Austin Stacks)\, T Kennedy (Kerins O’Rahillys)\, P Lane (Austin Stacks).\nSubs: B Fitzsimons (Kenmare Shamrocks)\, I Brosnan (Castleisland Desmonds)\, J Joy (Ballymacelligott)\, S Ó Cuinn (An Ghaeltacht)\, J Curtin (Ballyduff)\, D Sargent (John Mitchels)\, M McKivergan (Ballymacelligott)\, P Finucane (Tarbert)\, D Hogan (Milltown/Castlemaine)\, B Kelliher (Dr Crokes)\, A Byrne (Dr Crokes). \nROSCOMMON: P Gaynor; D O’Higgins\, M Gillooly\, N Birzins; K Kelly\, E Carthy (captain)\, C Murray; N Heneghan\, C Enright; C McKeon\, D Casey\, E Collins; J Curran\, C O’Carroll\, J McGuinness.\nSubs: M Carroll\, C Grogan\, R Coyle\, K Hester\, R Kilcline\, S Tighe\, L Finneran\, D Higgins\, D Kennedy.

Wind-assisted Tipp scattered 13 shots either side of the posts and dropped two short. Clare had no wide and just one goal chance saved\, which they tidied up for a point. From 27 shots\, Tipp converted 1-11. From 11 shots\, Clare left with 0-10. \nTipp missed their first four attempts\, while Clare countered for the first three points. In their first attack\, Paul Rodgers was charged down by the advancing McCormack\, but regathered to score. \nTipp briefly composed themselves for four in a row of their own. Charlie Ryan broke their duck\, Tobin slotted back-to-back points\, and Robbie Ryan turned from creator to scorer for the fourth. \nClare had five of the next seven white flags\, including three Fred Hegarty frees\, to lead by 0-8 to 0-6 after 20 minutes. They would only get off two more shots in the remainder of the half. \nWhile Tipp were mopping up possession\, they were slow to make it count. After a David Costigan score\, they shot six consecutive wides. Finally\, Tobin and Costigan found the target to nudge them ahead. \nHegarty levelled from play before a hard-earned Shane Cleary point lifted the Premier crowd. They added a goal on the half-hour. Cathal O’Reilly and Adam Ryan did the defensive graft before Robbie Ryan benefited from Robert Loftus over-committing to the long ball. He picked out Jamie Ormond to tap in from close range. \nDaniel Costello and Charlie Ryan traded points to leave it 1-11 to 0-10 at half-time. \n\nPost Match Interview with Clare goalkeeper Mark Sheedy \n\n"The lads held some nerve out there"🗣️ \nSmaointe Mark Sheedy tar éis an cluiche ceannais drámatúil.@GaaClare@GAA_BEO #GAABeo pic.twitter.com/LC9g97y3yW \n— Spórt TG4 (@SportTG4) May 13\, 2026 \n \n\nClare had a goal back within 10 seconds of the restart. Half-time sub Graham Ball’s first involvement was to win the throw-in and drive in the sliotar. As Cathal O’Reilly slipped\, Marco Cleary spun in behind to tuck past the keeper. \nBall struck Clare’s first wide in the 34th minute\, while Tipp didn’t add another miss until the 51st minute. \nClare enjoyed a run of five points to one to push them two ahead\, 1-16 to 1-14\, by the 43rd minute. Michael Collins slotted two of those after turning over opposition puck-outs. \nTipp flipped that lead with the next 1-1. Adam Ryan brilliantly tracked back to sweep the sliotar off the advancing Ronan Kilroy’s hurley. Charlie Ryan fed Tobin\, who raced away before firing to the net. \nThe Tipp cheers rose as O’Donoghue entered the fray. When he pointed in the 54th minute\, they led by three. \nThe game turned again as Nicky O’Toole awarded a penalty for Evan Morris playing Thomas O’Connor’s arm as they grappled under Jamie Moylan’s dropping ball. Hegarty’s finish was precisely placed to tie it up at 2-17 apiece. \nHegarty immediately pushed Clare ahead\, but after a series of wides at both ends\, Patrick Ryan won a free for Fitzpatrick to bring it to extra-time. \nO’Toole blew for full-time just as Kilroy gathered the sliotar. A Clare mentor rushed in to protest\, resulting in the referee beginning extra-time with a tap-over free for Tipp. \nHaving chosen to play against the wind\, Tipp limited the deficit to one\, 2-23 to 2-22\, at the change of ends. \nThe Banner had four Hegarty frees and an Arthur point\, while Ormond clipped two of Tipp’s 0-4. \nJack Hayes had a goal chance hooked by Matthew O’Halloran as Tipp laboured to get back level. They eventually did so with two minutes remaining as Eoghan Doughan converted from the sideline. \nClare had four wides in the second added period before Fitzpatrick hit the post with a late free. \n\n\nAoife Moloney presents the Fulfil Man of the Match award to Robert Loftus after Clare's Under 20 Hurlers edged Tipperary in a dramatic penalty shootout victory 🙌https://t.co/wlbXzU7nmV pic.twitter.com/E6nx2M1VPK \n— Munster GAA / Comhairle na Mumhan (@MunsterGAA) May 14\, 2026 \n \n\n"I couldn't be prouder of the lads\, some feeling".🗣️ \nLabhair an Laoch na hImeartha Robert Loftus linn tar éis an cluiche ceannais drámatúil!@GaaClare@GAA_BEO #GAABeo pic.twitter.com/X0QAsB7Cof \n— Spórt TG4 (@SportTG4) May 13\, 2026 \n \n\nScorers for Clare: Fred Hegarty 1-14 (1-0 pen\, 11fs); Marco Cleary 1-0; Michael Collins 0-3; Daniel Costello\, Ronan Kilroy 0-2 each; Thomas O’Connor\, Paul Rodgers\, Seán Arthur 0-1 each. \nScorers for Tipperary: Jamie Ormond 1-5; Cormac Fitzpatrick 0-6 (5fs); Stefan Tobin 1-3; David Costigan 0-3; Charlie Ryan\, Robbie Ryan 0-2 each; Shane Cleary\, Eoghan Doughan\, Oisín O’Donoghue 0-1 each. \nClare: Mark Sheedy; Eoghan Gunning\, Robert Loftus\, Matthew O’Halloran; Ryan Hayes\, James Hegarty\, Jamie Moylan; Daniel Costelloe\, Ronan Keane; Ronan Kilroy\, Michael Collins\, Fred Hegarty; Marco Cleary\, Thomas O’Connor\, Paul Rodgers.\nSubs: Graham Ball for Keane (h-t)\, Seán Arthur for Rodgers (49)\, Harry Doherty for Costello (55)\, Darren Moroney for Hayes (e-t)\, Jack Mescall for Collins (69)\, Daire Neville for Gunning (74\, inj)\, Seán Boyce for Cleary (78). \nTipperary: Paddy McCormack; David Ryan\, Evan Morris\, Cathal O’Reilly; Adam Ryan\, Euan Murray\, Shane Cleary; Charlie Ryan\, Sam Rowan; Stefan Tobin\, Tiarnán Ryan\, David Costigan; Robbie Ryan\, Jamie Ormond\, Cormac Fitzpatrick.\nSubs: Patrick Ryan for T Ryan (21)\, Oisín O’Donoghue for Rowan (46)\, Eoghan Doughan for R Ryan (60)\, Jake Donelan-Houlihan for Cleary (67)\, Rowan for Murray (h-t e-t\, inj)\, Jack Hayes for C Ryan (73). \nReferee: Nicky O’Toole (Waterford). \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €15\nStudents / OAPs: €10\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nTeam News \nClare: M Sheedy (Sixmilebridge); E Gunning (Broadford)\, R Loftus (Éire Óg Ennis)\, M O’Halloran (Sixmilebridge); J Moylan (Cratloe)\, J Hegarty (Inagh-Kilnamona)\, R Hayes (Tulla); D Costelloe (Ballyea)\, R Keane (Killanena); R Kilroy (Banner)\, M Collins (Clonlara)\, F Hegarty (Inagh-Kilnamona); M Cleary (Éire Óg Ennis)\, T O’Connor (St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield)\, P Rodgers (Scariff).\nSubs: C Doyle (Bodyke)\, G Ball (St Joseph’s Doora-Barefield)\, S Arthur (Newmarket-on-Fergus)\, S Boyce (O’Callaghan’s Mills)\, J Mescall (Inagh-Kilnamona)\, D Moroney (Éire Óg Ennis)\, H Doherty (Clarecastle)\, D Neville (Cratloe)\, J Cullinan (Ruan). \n\nThe Tipperary Under 20 hurling team to face Clare tomorrow evening in the Munster Final has been announced. \nWednesday 13th May 2026Fulfil Munster Under 20 Hurling Championship FinalTipperary v Clarein TUS Gaelic Grounds @ 7.35 pmhttps://t.co/T6rWfiWOvl pic.twitter.com/wcxjiSuWXX \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) May 12\, 2026 \n \nTipperary: P McCormack (Moneygall); C O’Reilly (Holycross Ballycahill)\, E Morris (Holycross Ballycahill)\, D Ryan (Arravale Rovers); A Ryan (Arravale Rovers)\, E Murray (Thurles Sarsfields)\, S Cleary (Kilruane MacDonaghs); C Ryan (Boherlahan Dualla)\, S Rowan (CJ Kickhams Mullinahone); S Tobin (Carrick Swan)\, T Ryan (Holycross Ballycahill)\, D Costigan (Moycarkey Borris); R Ryan (Holycross Ballycahill)\, J Ormond (JK Brackens)\, C Fitzpatrick (Drom Inch).\nSubs: D Hayes (Toomevara)\, J Donelan-Houlihan (Nenagh Éire Óg)\, E Doughan (Moneygall)\, P Hackett (Toomevara)\, S Hall (Golden Kilfeacle)\, J Hayes (Moycarkey Borris)\, O O’Donoghue (Cashel King Cormacs)\, P Ryan (Borris-Ileigh)\, S Ryan (Killenaule).

Shane Ryan came forward from the throw-in to feed Éanna Tucker for the opener after 13 seconds. \nThen\, after the influential Collins won the ball in defence\, Shane Ryan delivered it long for Morrisson to take a backfoot swing at the posts. His shot dropped under the crossbar and out of the grasp of goalkeeper Sam Collins\, with both umpires indicating that the sliotar had landed over the line before bouncing out. \nLimerick responded well with five of the next six points\, comprised of efforts from Shane Waters (play and free)\, Daire Long\, Ryan Foley\, and Jack Roche’s leveller. \nChris Dunne twice edged Tipp ahead with frees before Limerick retaliated with three in a row to take their first lead. A stylish Xavier Nelligan sideline cut was followed by good points by John O’Riordan and Waters. \nTipp’s goal threat emerged before long\, although Limerick kept bravely throwing their bodies on the line. Rowan Collins’ goal-saving intervention denied Chris Dunne\, although Morrisson soon pointed. \nMorrisson then had a point attempt rebuffed by William Ryan. It fell for Zach O’Keeffe\, whose swipe at goal was stopped by Sam Mitchell’s diving block. When the sliotar dropped into KJ Dunne’s grasp\, he rounded the covering defender to buy space for a low shot to the net. \nChris Dunne added a free before Eamon O’Sullivan narrowed the half-time deficit to two\, 2-6 to 0-10. \nTipp doubled their lead on the restart via Chris Dunne and Tucker points. Limerick began to show signs of opening up Tipp\, beginning when Waters tapped over after careering towards goal. \nAfter a Morrisson reply\, the Treaty were in again. Daire Long and Ryan Foley combined to tee up O’Sullivan to hit the net. However\, the umpires didn’t raise the green flag and\, following a chat with referee Seaghan Walsh\, it was ruled out for a square ball. \nO’Sullivan soon pointed with his last act before being called ashore and a Waters free got them back to two behind. \nMorrisson’s third point was followed by another goal chance. Diarmuid Crowe and Rian Horgan ran down the middle\, with the latter laying off for John Ross O’Reilly. His bullet was courageously diverted around the post by the advancing Eoin Connolly. \nWaters slotted the 65\, but Tipp necklaced four of the next five points. Morrisson’s catch led to the first. After KJ Dunne’s goal chance was deflected away by Conor Ryan\, Chris Dunne converted the 65. Tucker and a long-distance James Finn free made it 2-14 to 0-15 with five minutes to play. \nIt was back in the balance by the hour mark with Roche\, Horgan\, and Waters (free) splitting the posts. Tipp would score the last 1-2. O’Keeffe struck a point before Chris Dunne\, who added a late free\, was denied a clinching goal by Conor Ryan’s hook. Tipp came again and Chris Dunne released Morrisson to flick beyond the full-back and fire to the far corner. \n\nPost-Match Interview with Tipperary Manager James Woodlock \n\nFollowing his sides win over Limerick in the Munster Minor Hurling Championship Final\, Tipperary Manager James Woodlock reflects on the game and looks ahead to the All Ireland series. pic.twitter.com/ksmBLvjMc1 \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) May 16\, 2026 \n \n\nScorers for Tipperary: Conall Morrisson 2-4; Chris Dunne 0-6 (4f\, 1 65); KJ Dunne 1-0; Éanna Tucker 0-3; James Finn (f)\, Shane Ryan\, Zach O’Keeffe 0-1 each. \nScorers for Limerick: Shane Waters 0-8 (4f\, 1 65); Jack Roche\, Eamon O’Sullivan 0-2 each; John O’Riordan\, Xavier Nelligan (s/l)\, Ryan Foley\, Daire Long\, Gavin O’Brien\, Rian Horgan 0-1 each. \nTIPPERARY: Eoin Connolly; Daniel Groome\, Conor Collins\, Colm Ryan; Oisín Kennedy\, James Finn\, Travis McLoughlin; Shane Ryan\, Hugo Healy; Conor Kennedy\, Chris Dunne\, Éanna Tucker; Zach O’Keeffe\, Conall Morrisson\, KJ Dunne.\nSubs: Ciarán Gantley for Healy (42)\, Ciarán O’Mahony for McLoughlin (42)\, Rian McGrath for Tucker (52). \nLIMERICK: Sam Collins; Sam Mitchell\, William Ryan\, Rowan Collins; Eoin Hennessy\, Conor Ryan\, John O’Riordan; Xavier Nelligan\, Jack Roche; Diarmuid Crowe\, Ryan Foley\, Shane Waters; Eamon O’Sullivan\, Danny O’Grady\, Daire Long.\nSubs: Jack McCarthy for Mitchell (h-t)\, Rian Horgan for O’Grady (35)\, John Ross O’Reilly for O’Sullivan (41)\, Gavin O’Brien for Long (41)\, Cian Hickey for Foley (56). \nReferee: Seaghan Walsh (Waterford). \n\nTicket Information \nAdults: €15\nStudents / OAPs: €10\nUnder 16’s: Free \nTickets are available from participating Centra and Supervalu outlets or online via the link below. \nClick here to buy tickets \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be streamed live on YouTube SpórtTG4 \n \n\nVenue Confirmation \n\nVenue confirmation \nFollowing a toss for venue\, the 2026 Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship Final will take place at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles on Friday May 15th at 7pm. \nThis will be the beginning of a two game home and away arrangement between Limerick and… pic.twitter.com/87EJ1Q4XSZ \n— Munster GAA / Comhairle na Mumhan (@MunsterGAA) May 11\, 2026 \n \n\nTeam News \n\nDiarmuid Mullins and his management team has released their Limerick Minor hurling team and match panel for their Electric Ireland Munster Minor Hurling Championship Final: \nLimerick Minor Hurling team v Tipperary this Friday evening at 7pm in FBD Semple Stadium is Announced. pic.twitter.com/g0fkQQFv63 \n— Limerick GAA (@LimerickCLG) May 14\, 2026 \n \nLIMERICK (MHC v Tipperary): S.
