SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - London 3-16 Waterford 2-13
DESCRIPTION:London defeated Waterford by 3-16 to 2-13 in Round 5 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday March 1st at McGovern Park Ruislip. \n\nLondon ensure Waterford remain winless \nReport By Conor Martin in McGovern Park\, Ruislip for RTÉ Sport \nA confident and composed team performance and 1-04 from Jim Davis helped Michael Maher’s London record their second Allianz Football League Division 4 win of the year as they beat Waterford at Ruislip’s McGovern Park in west London. \nLondon led the charge on the scoring front in this one. A Shay Rafter point and a Stephen Curry free got both the hosts and Waterford up and running. \nA brace of Joe McGill points and a score from Jim Davis helped the Londoners set the tone before Ciaran Diver stuck the ball past Josh Sheridan in the Waterford net with 16 minutes on the clock gone. \nThat put London six points up\, with Waterford needing to find a way back into the contest. Conor Murray kicked their first point from open play and their second of the day in the 18th minute. \nThat didn’t disrupt London’s momentum\, and they were further ahead when Micheal O’Reilly became the second London man to find the net in the 20th minute between points from his team-mates Davis and Tara clubman Rafter. \nAlan Dunwoody and Stephen Curry broke up the pattern of London scores only for Davis\, who would finish as London’s top scorer\, to kick a majestic two-pointer before gobbling up the chance to get himself on the scoresheet when he raised a green flag with half an hour played. \nThe mountain Ephie Fitzgerald’s men were having to climb was starting to look like Everest\, but they’d go into the half-time break still with a chance of salvaging something. to show for their efforts. \nStephen Curry split the posts once more before rattling the net\, capitalising on sloppiness from the London defence before Conor Murray grabbed Waterford’s second goal of the game with a fantastic finish to make it a seven-point game by the time the two teams went in for some half-time refreshments. \nWhen the teams came back out for the second half\, Stephen Curry and London’s Conal Gallagher and Diver traded scores\, with the latter kicking a hat-trick of points until Waterford sub Conor Fennell pointed at the other end for the visitors. \nStephen Curry and Darragh Walsh followed Londonder Rafter’s lead in front of the posts\, but the Déise needed a goal if they were really going to put the squeeze on the hosts inside the final 10 minutes\, rather than just points. \nLondon’s final points came in the 60th and 63rd minutes\, courtesy of McGill\, which ended any suggestion of an unlikely Waterford comeback. \nHowever\, they did finish strongly thanks to the efforts of Adam Murray\, Stephen Curry and Walsh\, while Michael Curry needlessly saw red in injury time to cap off another poor performance and a fifth defeat of the season in what is proving to be another miserable year for Waterford’s footballers. \nLondon: Andy Walsh; Stephen Henry\, Matt Moynihan\, Sean O’Donoghue; Conor Goggin\, Conal Gallagher (0-01)\, Conor O’Donohue; Liam Gallagher (Captain)\, Josh Obahor; Joe McGill (0-05)\, Tighe Barry\, Micheal O’Reilly (1-00); Ciaran Diver (1-03)\, Shay Rafter (0-03)\, Jim Davis (1-04\, 1 2p)\nLondon subs: Jack Power for Stephen Henry (42’)\, Marc Friel for Conal Gallagher (57’)\, Nathan Feeney for Jim Davis (62’)\, Liam Crowley for Conor Goggin (66’)\, Liam Murphy for Josh Obahor (66’) \nWaterford: Josh Sheridan; Billy Hynes\, Darach Ó Cathasaigh\, Conor Ó Cuirrín; Conor Murray (1-01) (Captain)\, Adam Crawford\, Michael O’Brien; Michael Curry\, Caoimhín Walsh; Darragh Walsh (0-02)\, Dermot Ryan\, Liam Mulligan; Alan Dunwoody (0-01)\, Stephen Curry (1-06\, 0-03f)\, Glen Power\nWaterford subs: James Walsh for Glen Power (25’)\, Tommy Martin for Darach Ó Cathasaigh (42’)\, Conor Fennell (0-01) for Liam Mulligan (47’)\, Adam Murray (0-01) for Caoimhín Walsh (62’) \nReferee: Ian Howley (Dublin) \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐 Allianz Football League – Team AnnouncementLondain 🆚 Port Láirge📅 Sunday\, March 1📍 McGovern Park\, Ruislip🕐 1:00pm🎟️ Tickets: https://t.co/XrJc0M0rHo pic.twitter.com/wvmtGLAS2Y \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) February 27\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 2 - Derry 1-31 Cork 0-14
DESCRIPTION:Derry defeated Cork by 1-31 to 0-14 in Round 5 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 on Sunday March 1st at Celtic Park. \n\n\nCork footballers suffer promotion setback after 20-point loss away to Derry https://t.co/kvrdmYLSvz \n— EchoLive.ie (@echolivecork) March 1\, 2026 \n \nCork footballers suffer promotion setback after 20-point loss away to Derry \nReport by Barry O’Mahony of the Echo newspaper \nDerry: 1-31 (1-2-27) Cork: 0-14 (0-2-10) \nDerry produced a strong second-half showing to power past Cork by 20 points in the Allianz Division 2 Football League at Find Insurance Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon. \nThe promotion battle is heating up as a result of this deserved win for the Oakleafers. \nDerry\, Meath and Cork are tied on eight points with two games remaining There can be no complaints about the result of this one. Derry led by four points at the short whistle despite playing against the wind. \nThere was an over reliance on Steven Sherlock to get the scores for Cork and they just didn’t have enough about them in the second half to reel in their opposition. Instead\, it went the other way in what was an outstanding Derry display. \nThis is a reality check for the Rebels\, which is no bad thing. \nThere was one change to the Cork team that was announced on Friday night. Conor Corbett started for the first time in a competitive game this season instead of Mark Cronin. \nThe Rebels had a strong enough wind advantage in the opening 35 minutes and made a strong start as they led 0-3 to 0-1 after three minutes with Sherlock getting the last of those scores with a monster two-point effort. \nThe same player tacked over a 45\, as John Cleary’s side settled well albeit wind-assisted. \nPatient play from Derry resulted in a pair of points from Shane McGuigan in what was an entertaining opening\, 0-4 to 0-3 after 11 minutes. \nThe sides swapped white flags until Colm O’Callaghan popped over his second point to push Cork two points clear. \nIn what end-to-end\, Derry cut the deficit to one thanks to goalkeeper Shea McGuckin from a 45 before Pádraig McGrogan’s half volley went narrowly wide in what was a decent goal chance. \nCork went down the other end\, but Seán McDonnell was unable to beat McGuckin. In what was a flurry of goal chances in a few minutes\, McGuigan couldn’t believe he didn’t bag a goal after an incredible reflex save from Cork netminder Micheál Aodh Martin to deny the forward. \nIt was crucial when Sherlock slotted over his second orange flag\, 0-8 to 0-5 after 21 minutes. \nDerry hit two of the next three points with Conor Glass’s effort the highlight. \nThe Oakleafers were getting a grip in midfield helping them to put together three unanswered points to lead for the first time five minutes to the interval. Lachlan Murray with two white flags and a Niall Loughlin effort. \nA vital score arrived on the stroke of the break when Glass set up Murray and the latter made no mistake as he billowed the back of the net\, 1-10 to 0-9 at half-time. \nThe teams exchanged points on the resumption as Derry were now with the wind at their backs. \nThey pushed six points clear when Loughlin and McGuigan pointed. \nCork were struggling to eat into the deficit that was widening as time progressed. Derry tacked on three points on the trot to lead 1-16 to 0-10 after 44 minutes. \nLoughlin then landed a two-pointer followed by Niall Toner and Ethan Doherty efforts. \nDara Sheedy got Cork’s first score with a neat point after 47 minutes\, but it was a long way back now for the Rebels. \nThe Ulster outfit were dominant as they kicked four of the next five points with sub Darragh Cashman registering Cork’s score\, 1-24 to 0-12 with 16 minutes left. \nThe Leesiders never gave up to their credit\, Sherlock and Cashman pointed\, but it was one of those days for Cork when very little went right. \nMcGuigan slotted over a white flag and an orange flag as Derry went 16 points clear\, 1-27 to 0-14 with ten minutes remaining. \nDerry kicked the last four points to win by 20 points. \nScorers for Derry: S McGuigan 0-9 (1 2pt\, 0-2 f)\, L Murray 1-4\, P Cassidy\, N Loughlin (1 2pt) 0-4 each\, E Doherty\, N Toner 0-2 each\, S McGuckin (45)\, C Glass\, S Kearney\, P McGrogan\, D Higgins\, C Doherty 0-1 each. \nCork: S Sherlock 0-6 (2 2pt\, 0-1 45)\, D Cashman\, C O’Callaghan 0-2 each\, S Walsh\, R Deane\, D Sheedy\, P Walsh 0-1 each. \nDERRY: S McGuckin; D Baker\, R Forbes\, S Downey; C Doherty\, G McKinless\, P McGrogan; C Glass (c)\, B Rogers; E Doherty\, N Toner\, P Cassidy; L Murray\, S McGuigan\, M Downey.\nSubs: D Higgins for B Rogers (46)\, S Young for L Murray (52)\, S Kearney for N Toner (56)\, M Bradley for D Baker (60)\, C Higgins for G McKinless (63). \nCORK: MA Martin; M Shanley\, D O’Mahony (c)\, S Meehan; M Taylor\, R Maguire\, L Fahy; C O’Callaghan\, S Walsh; P Walsh\, D Sheedy\, S McDonnell; C Óg Jones\, C Corbett\, S Sherlock.\nSubs: R Deane for P Walsh (h-t)\, D Buckley for S McDonnell\, C O’Mahony for C Corbett (both 46)\, D Cashman for M Taylor (52)\, C Cahalane for D Sheedy (65). \nReferee: Séamus Mulhare (Laois). \n\nTeam News \n\nCork Senior Football Team to play Derry has been announced https://t.co/pu7Qa0T2ZL pic.twitter.com/hjHNLmHftd \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) February 27\, 2026 \n \nCORK (NFL v Derry): M A Martin (Nemo Rangers)\, M Shanley (Clonakilty)\, D O’Mahony (Knocknagree)\, S Meehan (Kiskeam)\, M Taylor (Mallow)\, R Maguire (Castlehaven)\, L Fahy (Ballincollig)\, C O’Callaghan (Éire Óg)\, S Walsh (Mitchelstown)\, P Walsh (Kanturk)\, M Cronin (Nemo Rangers)\, S McDonnell (Mallow)\, C Ó Jones (Uíbh Laoire)\, D Sheedy (Bantry Blues)\, S Sherlock (St Finbarr’s)\nSubs: D Newman (St Finbarr’s)\, K O’Donovan (Nemo Rangers)\, T O’Mahony (Castlehaven)\, D Cashman (Millstreet)\, C Cahalane (Castlehaven)\, D Buckley (Newcestown)\, R Deane (Bantry Blues)\, E McSweeney (Knocknagree)\, C Corbett (Clyda Rovers)\, C Daly (Clonakilty)\, C O’Mahony (Mitchelstown) \n\n🗞️🔢Here’s our squad for tomorrow’s NFL Round 5 fixture vs. Cork at Find Insurance Celtic Park\, throw-in at 1pm. \n🎟️ Tickets https://t.co/I73YCo9A2o#DerryGAA2026 pic.twitter.com/ehCvSHrigh \n— Derry GAA (@Doiregaa) February 28\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 1 - Kerry 1-18 Monaghan 0-7
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Monaghan by 1-18 to 0-7 in Round 5 of the Allianz Football League Division 1 on Sunday March 1st at Fitzgerald Stadium Killarney. \n\n\nKerry do enough in testing conditions against Monaghan https://t.co/5LNPInz5jr \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 1\, 2026 \n \nKerry do enough in testing conditions against Monaghan \nReport by Tony Leen courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz FL: Division 1 Kerry 1-18 Monaghan 0-7 \nMaybe this is the piggery to which Geezer refers. A sow’s ear of a day in Killarney\, wet and wild\, the type of rain that drowns cats and soaks to the marrow. It also render weather decisions decisive. To play with or against it\, for instance. \nUltimately\, in the crashorama that is League Division 1\, this one was borderline routine. A smooth-sailing Kerry neutralising a struggling Monaghan against the wind and doing enough\, but little more\, to secure their third win of the campaign. If Jack O’Connor’s remote relegation concerns were also dismissed with two games to go\, problems are piling up for Gabriel Bannigan and pointless Monaghan. \nThe All-Ireland champions spent a lot of the first half playing conservatively and managing clock. Monaghan\, with first use of buffeting conditions\, looked short of two-point strategies though some credit for that must go to the home defence in which the nascent Eddie Healy was sure-handed. Consequently\, 24 minutes in\, the All-Ireland champions would have been fine and dandy at 0-4 each and sitting pretty. \nIn fact Paudie Clifford kicked his third point from play of the half to edge the Kingdom a point in front at the interval. \nNews of David Clifford’s absence was across the local wires by Saturday tea-time and for any lukewarm spectators turned off by the weather warnings\, that may have been a tipping point. However his brother was more than happy to polish the family silver\, Paudie controlling\, probing and kicking sweetly. He even offered a sample of what in the golf bag with a few fades\, draws and punched six irons under the wind. \nKarl Gallagher and lively inside attacker Oisin McGorman clipped over a pair of nice scores for the Mons but their attacking intent was modest at best – not a good indicator when there is not a lot of outside threat beyond the roaming Rory Beggan. Micheal Bannigan was busy on the 40 but not finding positions to pull the trigger. With a howling help over their shoulder\, Gabriel Bannigan’s side were too bashful by far with their outside shooting. Four points was not a good return from the first half. \nKerry\, by contrast\, were more inventive with the wind after the break\, stirring some back doors into the mix even if the wind made fools of some efforts. Tadhg Morley was a forceful instigator of attacks\, and Jason Foley kept everything locked tight further back. After a first round clipping by Roscommon’s Daire Cregg\, Foley has quickly found his sea legs. \nSean O’Shea\, as ever\, led from the front\, not just with his four second half points\, but with his ceaseless work rate and attitude to the stuff\, as Paul O’Connell would say\, that takes no talent. And the Kenmare man has plenty to use. \nSpeaking of\, Davie Clifford stretched his legs for the last quarter\, introduced on 55 minutes and helped himself to the new GAA hat trick – goal\, two pointer and single point. He also delivered two scoring assists. Middling for 15 minutes exertion. \nMonaghan are mathematically not relegated\, but in reality they are. They got Beggan back for this one and more minutes into Jack McCarron\, but in their heads\, they are turning attention towards the summer. \nAs were all in the drowned crowd of 4\,900 at Fitzgerald Stadium. \n\n \nTom O’Sullivan of Kerry in action against Darragh McElearney of Monaghan during the Allianz Football League Division 1 match between Kerry and Monaghan at Fitzgerald Stadium in Killarney\, Kerry. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Limerick 2-19 Offaly 0-17
DESCRIPTION:Limerick defeated Offaly by 2-19 to 0-17 in Round 5 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Sunday March 1st at Glenisk O’Connor Park Tullamore. \n\n\nOff-colour Limerick get the job done against gritty Offaly in Tullamore https://t.co/ylgmkEjO4P \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 1\, 2026 \n \nOff-colour Limerick get the job done against gritty Offaly in Tullamore \nReport by Brendan O’Brien courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nDivision 1A: Offaly 0-17 Limerick 2-19 \nLimerick last hammered Tipperary by 15 points in Thurles\, Offaly hadn’t earned a point in their first four Division 1A games. There was no doubting who was going to come out on top here. The sparse crowd on a grim day said as much. \nIt took longer than expected\, but a stuttering Limerick got there in the end. \nOffaly actually started positively in a crosswind and led by four points to two after the opening 15 minutes. They played smart hurling out from the back but too much of what they did was marred by some poor shooting. \nLimerick were the same. \nThe Munster side was unrecognisable from the outfit that demolished the All-Ireland champions last week and a tough start was topped when Darragh O’Donovan went off with what looked like a shoulder/arm injury 22 minutes in. \nThe advantage they held physically in some quarters was stark and\, with Aidan O’Connor tapping over three points from play and another five from frees\, they managed to generate some daylight on the scoreboard as the half ended. \nIt was 0-12 to 0-7 at the break although any expectation that Limerick would cut loose from there was undone pretty sharpish with Offaly claiming three of the next four points. \nIt took Shane O’Brien’s 54th-minute goal to eradicate any small sniff of the unlikely happening. \nCathal O’Neill followed suit four minutes later\, firing from the edge of the area on the back of a bursting support run through the middle. Now the gap was eleven points and it petered out from there. \nIt’s Cork at the TUS Gaelic Grounds for Limerick next. Different gravy. \nOffaly are holding a one-way ticket to Division 1B but they at least held their own for long periods here\, as they have done in all their top-tier games this season\, other than the heavy beating inflicted by Tipp. \nProgress comes in different guises. \n\n \nReferee Liam Gordon with Limerick captain Cian Lynch and Offaly captain Killian Sampson before the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Offaly and Limerick at Glenisk O’Connor Park in Tullamore\, Offaly. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Galway 2-18 Waterford 0-16
DESCRIPTION:Galway defeated Waterford by 2-18 to 0-16 in Round 5 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Sunday March 1st at Pearse Stadium Galway. \n\n\nGalway ease relegation fears with win over Waterford https://t.co/JFKH3hJy9y \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 1\, 2026 \n \nGalway ease relegation fears with win over Waterford \nReport by Eoghan Cormican courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nGalway 2-18 Waterford 0-16 \nA step towards safety. Galway’s second victory of the spring has significantly eased relegation concerns. Cruise control had been entered long before the finish. Eight second half wides\, two goal opportunities not taken\, and no score in the closing 13 minutes testify to such. \nIn what was billed as the most important topflight fixture of the weekend\, Waterford’s lack of intent was baffling. They brought so little to this drab contest\, watched by a paltry attendance of 4\,134 famished souls. \nGalway move alongside Waterford on four points. Galway now have them on the head-to-head. Put simply\, if Peter Queally’s side don’t take something from Tipp’s visit next Sunday\, they are destined to make an immediate return to the second tier. \nThe half-time numbers crunched by the statisticians on either side contradicted the familiar gale blowing from the Rockbarton Road End. \nGalway\, despite playing into the elements\, got off 20 first half shots. Waterford\, supported by the elements\, got off four less. \nGalway\, despite playing into the elements\, finished the first-half six in front. Both sides registered four wides apiece\, but with Galway’s short tally two higher than the visitors\, Micheál Donoghue’s charges will justifiably have felt their 2-11 to 0-11 interval lead could have been more impressive and more sizable. \nAdded to that\, Darren Morrissey’s loose pass out of defence\, which was intercepted and punished by Stephen Bennett right on the stroke of half-time\, was one of many such examples\, even if all telegraphed Galway passes didn’t end with Waterford white flags. \nBottom line\, if not already obvious\, was that Galway were a distance better. \nThere was a purpose to their play so lacking in the visitors’ hard-to-decipher approach. There was movement – a basic prerequisite Waterford scored so poorly in. \nAaron Niland\, operating on the main stand side\, was coming very deep\, unmarked\, to pick up possession and by the time Waterford got a body onto him\, it was invariably too late. \nHe put over back-to-back points and was then fouled for the next score after that during a 1-7 Galway burst that cannonballed the hosts from 0-6 to 1-2 in arrears to nine clear on 27 minutes. \nIt was a pleasant scoring parcel. First the seven unanswered points\, then the goal. Tieran Killeen fed Colm Molloy\, he held off the close attention of Waterford’s last line before swinging one-handed beyond Billy Nolan. \nGalway’s opening major had been equally\, if not more attractive. \nJason Rabbitte fetched Cianan Fahy’s delivery. Ronan Glennon came thundering off his shoulder\, took the pop pass\, and batted beyond Nolan. \nNolan’s free on 29 minutes was Waterford’s first score in 18 minutes. Supported by the elements\, they failed to score from play between the 10th and 35th minute. Flat. Shapeless. Rudderless. \nA second-half comeback was never on the cards. Their afternoon was best summed up approaching the hour-mark. Stephen Bennett’s 20-metre free was stopped on the line by Kieran Hanrahan. Waterford won back possession; Aaron Niland blocked down Patrick Curran before Sean Mackey hit the post. \nThey had Nolan to thank for the defeat not running into double-digits. He denied Cianan Fahy from close range at the beginning of the half. He diverted around the post an Aaron Niland penalty on 63 minutes. Niland won the penalty himself\, Mark Fitzgerald shown black for his foul. \n\n \nTiernan Killeen of Galway in action against Iarlaith Daly of Waterford during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Galway and Waterford at Pearse Stadium in Galway. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Tipperary 1-18 Leitrim 0-8
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Leitrim by 1-18 to 0-8 in Round 5 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday March 1st at Clonmel Sportsfield. \n\n\nTipp play out comprehensive 13-point win over Leitrim to keep Div 4 promotion hopes alive https://t.co/bXGGQeRk2T \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 1\, 2026 \n \nTipp play out comprehensive 13-point win over Leitrim to keep Div 4 promotion hopes alive \nReport by Stephen Barry courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz Football League Division 4: Tipperary 1-18 (1-3-12) Leitrim 0-8 (0-2-4) \nTipperary avenged their Tailteann Cup elimination against Leitrim with a comprehensive 13-point victory to keep their Division 4 promotion hopes alive. \nThe game was all but over by half-time as the Premier lead 1-12 to 0-5 despite playing into a strong wind at a wet and wild Clonmel Sportsfield. \nSeán O’Connor fired 1-6 and Steven O’Brien added 0-6 to round off a win which moves Tipp into third; two points behind Carlow and one off Longford. Leitrim drop out of contention into seventh place. \nBoth Niall Fitzgerald and Steven Poacher made five changes to their teams published on Friday. Jack Harney\, Paudie Feehan\, Charlie King\, Eoin Craddock\, and O’Brien started for Tipp. Donal Feely\, Gavin Reynolds\, Barry McNulty\, Cillian McGloin\, and Paul Honeyman were introduced for Leitrim. \nDespite playing with a strong\, if somewhat crossfield wind at their backs\, Poacher had called upon two substitutes by the 23rd minute and two more at half-time as Tipp proved utterly dominant. \nThe hosts sliced through for a couple of early goal chances as O’Connor was twice denied by Killian Gaffey\, while a third attempt was deflected over the bar. \nA Keith Keegan two-pointer gave Leitrim their only lead. They would only score two of nine efforts from outside the arc and only had one go at a one-pointer in the entire half. \nTipp scored the next eight points without reply for a 0-9 to 0-2 lead. An O’Brien two-point free\, slotted into the wind\, kickstarted that run. Feehan was producing a standout performance around midfield as he added a marvellous solo score. \nEarly replacement Oisín McLoughlin landed a long-range two-pointer with his first touch. Tipp responded with a 27th-minute goal after good work by O’Brien and Daithí Hogan enabled O’Connor to palm home at the back post. \nA Cian Smith pair and O’Brien’s fourth made it 1-12 to 0-5 at the break. By that juncture\, Tipp had no wide and converted 80% of their shots. Leitrim’s success rate was just 27%. \nIn deteriorating conditions\, McNulty and McLoughlin pulled two points back as Tipp didn’t score for the first 12 minutes with the wind. \nOnce O’Connor got them going\, they motored on with O’Brien’s wonderful two-point free from under the stand and a late O’Connor orange flag. \nBoth sides ended with 14 men. Mark Russell was black-carded as the clock hit 70 and Eoin McLoughlin picked up a second yellow in the second of four added minutes. \nTipp travel to Wicklow in a fortnight’s time. They could do with a favour from Leitrim\, who host Longford next. \n\n\nSome action shots from today’s win over Leitrim in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League\, played in wet conditions at Sportsfield Clonmel. \n📸 Photo credit: Enda O'Sullivan pic.twitter.com/CoWAWOMtCU \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) March 1\, 2026 \n \n\nScorers for Tipperary: S O’Connor (1-6\, 1tp\, 0-1 free); S O’Brien (0-6\, 2tpf); C Smith (0-4\, 1 free); P Feehan\, D Hogan (0-1 each). \nScorers for Leitrim: O McLoughlin (0-3\, 1tp\, 1 free); K Keegan (0-2\, tp); Riordan O’Rourke\, P Honeyman (free)\, B McNulty (0-1 each). \nTIPPERARY: S Garland; J Harney\, E O’Connell\, M McFadden; C King\, J Morris\, M Stokes; J Higgins\, P Feehan (capt); K Costello\, S O’Brien\, E Craddock; C Smith\, S O’Connor\, D Hogan.\nSubs: K Butler for Craddock (59)\, M Russell for Higgins (59)\, L Boland for Stokes (63)\, M Freaney for O’Brien (63)\, D Brennan for Smith (65). \nLEITRIM: K Gaffney; E McLoughlin\, K Clancy\, D Feely; J Rooney\, G Reynolds\, É McNamara; B McNulty\, K Keegan; F McLoughlin\, Riordan O’Rourke\, C McGloin; B Guckian\, Ryan O’Rourke (capt)\, P Honeyman.\nSubs: O McLoughlin for Clancy (23)\, C Reynolds for Rooney (23)\, M Diffley for Feely (h-t)\, Ruairí O’Rourke for McGloin (h-t)\, C Quinn for G Reynolds (51). \nReferee: A Coyne (Westmeath). \n\nTeam News \n\nNiall Fitzgerald and his management team have named their panel for this Sunday’s game against Leitrim in Clonmel. \nSunday 1st March 2026Allianz Football League Division 4 Round 5Tipperary v Leitrimin Clonmel Sportsfield @ 2.00 pmReferee: Alan Coyne (Westmeath) pic.twitter.com/GVMJdjmZhT \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) February 27\, 2026

Brian Hayes and Shane Barrett were also on target before a double from Barry Walsh\, the rising Killeagh star. \nEventually Aidan O’Connor would convert a free\, one of six the Ballybrown man would arrow over in a high-octane opening half. \nLimerick slow ground their way into the lead\, with Cathal O’Neill\, O’Connor and then Adam English all pointing – though there was little between the teams for much of this contest. \nThe sides would be level three times in the opening half before O’Connor’s stoppage time free nudged John Kiely’s men ahead. Alan Walsh had briefly restored parity\, with the Kanturk attacker the sixth Rebel forward to register a point. \nThe early going in the second half was tight\, with O’Mahony and Hayes (two) both on target for Cork\, while at the other end\, Adam English and O’Connor with a first from play keep the green jerseys ahead. \nThe crucial goal\, from O’Neill arrived on 59 minutes. Set free by captain Cian Lynch\, he took the ball wide before unleashing across Patrick Collins for two goals in as many weeks. \nThere was a penalty soon conceded by Seán O’Donoghue for a foul on Aaron Gillane. This allowed O’Connor add a goal to his tally – he would eventually bring his total to 1-11. \nThere was late scores for Hugh Flanagan and Tom Morrissey\, both in from the bench\, while Cork hit the final three scores to bring their tally to 20 . \nThese sides will clash again on April 26 at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh in the second round of the Munster Senior Hurling Championship\, and a first championship tie for Limerick. \n\n \nShane O’Brien of Limerick on his way to scoring his side’s first goal despite the attention of Dáire O’Leary of Cork during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Limerick and Cork at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 - Kerry 6-24 Mayo 0-15
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Mayo by 6-24 to 0-15 in Round 6 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 on Sunday March 8th at Austin Stack Park Tralee. \n\nRuthless Kerry maul Mayo to strengthen hurling league Division 2 final bid \nReport by John O’Dowd courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nKerry 6-24 Mayo 0-15 \nWith a place in the Allianz NHL Division 2 final almost certain to come down to scoring difference\, a ruthless Kerry showed no mercy to an out-of-their-depth Mayo with a 27-point pummelling at Austin Stack Park in Tralee. \nThree goals by the end of the first quarter had the hosts home and dry and\, when they retired at the interval with a 24-point cushion (4-17 to 0-5)\, it was only a matter of how much more the Kingdom would add to their advantage on the resumption. \nTo be fair to the Connacht side\, they started quite positively against the wind\, and were only two points adrift\, 0-5 to 0-3\, after 13 minutes before John Griffin’s men struck for their first goal. Oisín Maunsell capitalised on a defensive error to rocket to the roof of the net. \nWithin a minute\, a brilliant move involving the excellent Maunsell and early substitute Gavin Dooley culminated in Michael Slattery tapping home after rounding the ‘keeper\, and the latter turned provider for the former to slot green flag number three in the 16th minute (3-8 to 0-3). \nMidfielder Daniel Huane showed some resistance for Mayo with a brace of points from play but\, with Michael Leane producing a strong display at half-back\, Kerry ended up with nine different scorers by the half-time whistle. \nMaunsell had 1-5 from play on the board before the changeover\, and Kerry pounced for their fourth goal one minute from the end of the half\, with Dooley and Ronan Walsh combining for Colin Walsh to put the final gloss on the hosts’ first half dominance. \nWith the elements in their favour in the second half\, Mayo certainly improved\, with the double act of Cormac Phillips and Shane Boland finishing with a combined total of 0-11\, and Huane continuing to hurl effectively around the middle. \nFor Kerry\, they will be concerned by the injuries to Jordan Conway and impressive replacement Dooley\, who notched the winners’ fifth goal after 38 minutes. Top scorer Maunsell had the final say\, with the sixth green flag\, as the Kingdom travel to Trim for a vital clash with Meath in a fortnight. \nScorers for Kerry: O Maunsell (2-6\, 1f)\, G Dooley (2-2)\, R Walsh (0-6\, 6fs)\, C Walsh (1-2)\, M Slattery (1-1)\, T Doyle (0-2)\, J Conway\, M Leane\, K O’Connor\, J Sheehan\, D Casey (0-1 each). \nScorers for Mayo: C Phillips (0-6\, 3fs\, 0-1 ’65)\, S Boland (0-5\, 3fs)\, D Huane (0-3)\, R Duffy (0-1). \nKERRY: D Quirke; E Leen\, S McGrath\, S Foran; J O’Connor\, K O’Connor\, M Leane; K Goulding\, R Walsh; T Doyle\, C Walsh\, J Brick; M Slattery\, O Maunsell\, J Conway.\nSubs: G Dooley for Conway (10\, inj)\, K Carmody for Goulding (ht)\, D Casey for Brick (41)\, A Segal for R Walsh (temp\, 45-48)\, D Kearney for Leen (53)\, J Sheehan for Dooley (55\, inj). \nMAYO: B Douglas; M Gallagher\, O Ivers\, C Murray; S O’Brien\, D Kenny\, O Greally; S Kenny\, D Huane; R Duffy\, C Phillips\, E Delaney; C Scahill\, P Murphy\, S Boland.\nSubs: A Rowland for Gallagher (26)\, J Burke for Murray (ht)\, B Sheridan for Kenny (46)\, F Burke for Duffy (50)\, J Heraty for Murphy (60). \nReferee: N O’Toole (Waterford). \n\nTeam News \n\n🥎TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Hurling League Roinn 2 \nKerry host Mayo in the 2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 Round 6. \nFor full team news: https://t.co/1XqSQ8XQ28#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/rsf6UIfJFS \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) March 6\, 2026 \n \nKERRY: Diarmuid O’Rourke\, Eric Leen\, Seán McGrath\, Seanie Foran\, James O’Connor\, Kyle O’Connor\, Michael Leane\, Kevin Goulding\, Ronan Walsh\, Tom Doyle\, Colin Walsh\, Jordan Brick\, Michael Slattery\, Oisín Maunsell\, Jordan Conway.\nSubs: Conor Bohane\, Gavin Dooley\, Hugh Lenihan\, Daniel Casey\, Luke Rochford\, Adam Segal\, Liam Óg O’Connor\, Jack Sheehan\, Ivan Conway\, Dara Kearney\, Keith Carmody. \n\n🔴🟢 Mayo Team Announcement 🟢🔴 \nThe Mayo team has been named to face Kerry on Sunday. \n🎟 Tickets are on sale online now ⤵ or from selected Centra and SuperValu shops https://t.co/4NtXzNkY2b. #mayogaa #gaa pic.twitter.com/lT2gNjBo76 \n— Mayo GAA (@MayoGAA) March 6\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship - Waterford 4-11 Limerick 2-7
DESCRIPTION:Waterford defeated Limerick by 4-11 to 2-7 in Round 1 of the Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship Phase 1 on Saturday March 14th at Mick Neville Park Rathkeale. \n\n\nWaterford blitz Limerick for rare U20 football victory https://t.co/2uBU4zikWu \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 14\, 2026 \n \nWaterford blitz Limerick for rare U20 football victory \nReport by Tom Clancy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nLimerick 2-7 (2-2-3) Waterford 4-11 (4-3-5) \nFour second-half goals helped Waterford to an opening round victory as they kickstarted their Munster U20 football campaign with a dominant victory over Limerick on Saturday afternoon. \nIt is just a third victory at this grade for Waterford\, since 2021\, while it also avenges the losses to the Treaty in the two most recent Munster U20 deciders. \nGoals from Paul Bagnell\, Joe Brennan\, Corey Lyons and Callum Royle added to the interval lead\, as the Deise eventually eased to victory. After a cagey start\, the visitors eventually showed their talent with a cohesive team display. \nLimerick’s Liam Glynn opened the scoring after seven minutes at a windswept Mick Neville Park. \nAndrew Lyons quickly doubled the tally\, scoring from close range after good play from previous minor captains Conor Ó Longaigh and Evan Curry. However\, Waterford hit back through Paddy McCarthy who used that breeze to raise an orange flag from play. \nThe next score\, was a two-pointer at the other end. Andrew Kearney drilling over a stunning free-kick – which Waterford immediately cancelled out. \nJoe Brennan arrowed over from the hands for two and from the next play the Tramore native was marginally off target from repeating the feat with another free. \nWaterford looked the work the openings on the arc and they moved ahead for the first time when Tramore’s Daithí Colleran was next to score beyond the arc. They finally registered a first white flag\, to level 0-7 to 0-4 when Brennan scythe through the cover and blasted over. \nThey simply didn’t want the first half to finish\, as they dominated the closing stages and kicked three more scores. Ben Qualter\, Brennan and then David Nyhan all scoring. Half-time couldn’t come fast enough for John O’Grady’s men\, who as well as losing kickout battle\, spilled a lot of ball when they did get first to it. \nPaul Power’s youngsters were hoping to match the heroics away to Clare in the corresponding opening round tie last year\, and heading for the dressing room six up\, they certainly felt that was a real possibility. \nAfter a fragmented first 10 minutes of the second half\, Limerick got a lifeline\, with the only goal of the game. Callum Kiely’s ‘45’ was spilled in the Waterford square\, allowing the towering Aidan O’Shea the simple task of punching the ball to the net. \nIf that was a gift\, then this was returned at the other end by Limerick. Paul Bagnell’s dropping shot was spilled to the net by Limerick keeper\, Cian Purcell to re-open the six point buffer. \nA red card for Owen Dee on fifty-one minutes all-but killed any hopes of a Limerick revival. A second yellow for a high challenge meant the task got even greater for Limerick. \nA late penalty from the hugely impressive Brennan was slotted into the top corner to put nine between the sides. \nLimerick\, however\, didn’t give up. A breakaway saw Callum Kiely find the net\, while Padraig Phelan kicked a two-pointer to put just four between them. \nHowever\, two runaway goals form Corey Lyons and sub Callum Royle sealed the two points and boosted their scoring stakes. \nIn round two\, next Saturday\, Waterford host Clare\, while New Inn will see Tipperary entertain Limerick. \nScorers for Limerick: A O’Shea\, C Kiely 1-0; A Kearney 0-2 (1tpf); P Phelan 0-2 (1tp); L Glynn\, A Lyons\, C Ó Longaigh 0-1 each. \nScorers for Waterford: J Brennan 1-5 (1-0 pen\, 1tpf\, 0-2f); P Bagnell\, C Lyons\, C Royle 1-0; P McCarthy 0-2 (1tp); D Colleran 0-2 (1tp); B Qualter\, D Nyhan 0-1. \nLimerick: C Purcell (Kildimo/Pallaskenry); O Dee (Cappagh)\, M O’Connor (Fr. SUMMARY:2026 Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship - Clare 1-16 Tipperary 1-11
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Tipperary by 1-16 to 1-11 in Round 1 of the Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship Phase 1 on Saturday March 14th at Páirc Naomh Mhuire Quilty. \n\n\nClare start as they mean to go on with U20 win over Tipp https://t.co/fSLJb67OMU \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 14\, 2026 \n \nClare start as they mean to go on with U20 win over Tipp# \nReport by Eoin Brennan courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nMunster Under 20 Football Championship Round 1: Clare 1-16 Tipperary 1-11 \nClare would finally break their Tipperary hoodoo to get off to va winning start in the Munster Under 20 Football Championship Phase 1 round robin in Páirc Naomh Mhuire in Quilty. \nHaving suffered four successive reverses to the Premier County in both phases over the previous two seasons\, Clare\, in their only home outing\, fully capitalised by leading for the final 50 minutes of this derby opener. \nAgainst the stiff conditions\, it was Sean Fennell’s spectacular 1-4 blitz in just 90 seconds that completely flipped the script for the hosts as the Kilrush native kicked a two-pointer from each leg to sandwich an emphatic top corner finish in the 13th minute. \nIt completed a 1-6 unanswered rally to catapult the Banner into a 1-8 to 0-4 cushion by the turn of the second quarter. A shellshocked Tipperary did get a timely lifeline in the 18th minute when Liam Freaney’s point attempt dropped short and wasn’t held by goalkeeper Harry O’Gorman as opportunist Liam Kiely nipped it to flick the ball over the line. \nBuoyed by that fortuitous score\, the resurgent visitors duly lessened the deficit to just two by the 25th minute after successive points through Shane Ryan and chief marksman Freaney. \nNot to be outdone\, Clare decisively struck for a brace of points either side of the interval to restore a six point gap. The incessant running of Donncha O’Dwyer yielded a free for captain Daire Culligan to convert before doubling his bounty thanks to a breach to ensure a 1-10 to 1-06 half-time edge. \nNow backed by the conditions\, Clare consolidated their healthy position thanks to early strikes from Darragh Townsend and Sean Fennell within two minutes of the resumption. Tipperary manager Paddy O’Gorman wasn’t afraid to reshuffle his pack though\, with substitute Emmet Bonner providing the sufficient impact to rally the visiting troops to kick the next three points\, two from free taker Freaney at 1-12 to 1-09. \nThe Premier even had a glorious opportunity to regain full parity at the three-quarters mark when Oran Gahan played a one-two with Mark Neville to bear down on goal. However\, the midfielder snatched at the attempt which drifted agonisingly wide\, a miss that allowed their relieved hosts to breath once more. \nSean Fennell and Donncha O’Dwyer matched frees from Freaney and Mark Neville to keep that three point margin between the sides entering the final ten minutes. Precariously balanced\, it was captain Culligan that fittingly provided the assurance coming down the final straight as he arrowed over a brace of frees to cement a first victory over Tipperary at this level since 2023. \nWith Waterford seeing off Limerick in convincing fashion\, a top-of-the-table clash is set for Lemybrien between the Déise and Clare next Saturday (2pm) whereas it’s effectively last-chance saloon in terms of qualification for Tipperary and Limerick in New Inn at the same time. \nScorers for Clare: S Fennell 1-6 (2tp\, 2f); D Culligan 0-7 (5f); D Townsend 0-2; D O’Dwyer 0-1 \nScorers for Tipperary: L Freaney 0-5 (4f); Liam Kiely 1-1; James Power 0-2 (1tp); Gavin Neville 0-2; Shane Ryan 0-1 \nClare: H O’Gorman (Cooraclare); L Griffin (Ennistymon)\, D Boyle (St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield)\, A Killeen (Lissycasey); D Brody (Ennistymon)\, S Murphy (St Joseph’s Miltown)\, M Kelly (Lissycasey); E Cahill (Kilmurry Ibrickane)\, S Fennell (Kilrush Shamrocks); D O’Dwyer (St. Breckan’s)\, C Breen (Corofin)\, D Townsend (Cooraclare); D Culligan (Lissycasey)\, D McMahon (Lissycasey). Sean O’Shea hit a two pointer and single effort either side of a Joe O’Connor score to have Kerry leading 1-19 to 0-12 with 45 minutes gone on the watch. \nRyan O’Donoghue pulled two points back for Mayo before David Clifford nailed another two pointer and Dylan Geaney got in for his second goal of the day as Kerry highlighted why they are the defending All Ireland and League champions. \nCliford pointed from play\, before Sean O’Shea kicked two more two pointers on the spin and there was still time for him to add another orange flag before the end to complete the hammering\, with Mayo responding with two-point efforts from Ryan O’Donoghue and Fergal Boland\, but it was all in vein. \nA first half second quarter burst saw Kerry overturn a five-point deficit 17 minutes in\, to go in leading by three points at break despite playing against the breeze. \nDylan Geaney opened the scoring inside three minutes\, but Mayo wasted no time in responding with the first two pointer of the day from Jordan Flynn. Keith Evans levelled it up not long after – before Fergal Boland swept the ball over to edge Mayo back in front once more. \nTom O’Sullivan squared it up with a neat finish\, before Mayo hit a scoring burst. Kobe McDonald who started a game for Mayo for the first time fisted over then\, Ryan O’Donoghue pointed a close range free. Jack Carney drilled over Mayo’s second two pointer of the day to push his side four clear. \nDavid Clifford got his first point of the evening just before the quarter of an hour mark\, and then Ryan O’Donoghue swung over a wind assisted two pointer to put Mayo five to the good. \nBut from then to the turn around it was all Kerry and they outscored Mayo nine points to one before the short whistle. David Clifford chipped in with three points\, Sean O’Shea two – while Sean O’Brien\, Dylan Geaney and Graham O’Sullivan all raised a white flag each. \nSam Callinan broke the Kerry run but Dylan Geaney rounded off the first half scoring to send Kerry in leading 0-13 to 0-10. In the second half\, Kerry ran riot. \n\n \nRyan O’Donoghue of Mayo can only watch as Seán O’Shea of Kerry kicks a two-pointer off the ground during the Allianz Football League Division 1 match between Kerry and Mayo at Austin Stack Park in Tralee\, Kerry. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 2 - Cork 1-31 Kildare 2-19
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Kildare by 1-31 to 2-19 in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 on Saturday March 14th at Páirc Uí Rinn. \n\n\nCork looking up after impressive bounce-back victory over Kildare https://t.co/ulnFd3yH2Z \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 14\, 2026 \n \nCork looking up after impressive bounce-back victory over Kildare \nReport by Eoghan Cormican courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nCork 1-31 (1-8-15) Kildare 2-19 (2-4-11) \nA return of key personnel. A return to winning ways. But most important of all for Cork\, a return to the promotion places. \nThe Derry defeat was announced over the Páirc Uí Rinn tannoy before throw-in. Cork seized the opportunity handed to them. Propelled by both the breeze and news of Louth doing them a sizable favour\, they reclaimed control of their League fate. \nFrom the concession of 1-31 in Celtic Park to posting 1-31 here\, Cork displayed no hangover – physical\, psychological\, or otherwise – from the disastrous trip north a fortnight ago. \nThe arithmetic is simple. If Cork take even a point off Tyrone at Healy Park next weekend\, they are promoted. \nThe first half was an exhibition of two-point kicking. Now\, Kildare’s policing of the arc was truly pathetic\, as was their patrolling of red runners coming off the shoulder\, but the target still has to be nailed each time. \nBy the 17th minute\, Cork had raised five orange flags. By half-time\, their two-point count was at eight. With Seán McDonnell short and Chris Óg Jones wide during the same play approaching the half hour\, Cork’s two-point conversion rate was a highly impressive eight from 10. \nThe spread was equally impressive\, as was the fact that all bar one came from play. Steven Sherlock supplied their first 65 seconds in and also supplied their last of the half on 34 minutes. Their interval lead stood at 16 points. 1-22 to 1-6. \nKildare lost only two of their opening eight restarts. Both were punished with orange. The second of those was kicked by half-back Luke Fahy. Chris Óg Jones\, Dara Sheedy\, and Mark Cronin were the remaining Cork players to stretch the home advantage from distance. \nKildare were asleep at the wheel – in every respect. One turnover just inside the Cork half saw them terribly exposed. Cronin\, Jones\, and Sheedy were free inside at the far end. The kick from the returning Brian O’Driscoll was too long and spilled wide. \nThe Cork goal\, on 27 minutes\, was yet another moment of the Lilywhites switching off. A handpass coming out of defence fell loose. Ian Maguire collected the turnover and offloaded to O’Driscoll. From there\, the ball went to Cronin before being lofted across to Jones for the finish. The latter was superb\, finishing with 1-9 from play. \nThe Kildare major arrived two minutes earlier. A Darragh Kirwan point attempt short fell into Brendan Gibbons’ grasp. He swivelled and struck. \nKildare kicked five point attempts short in the opening half. Brian McLoughlin also had a pair of wides\, while Colm Moran had green and white flag opportunities spoiled and stopped. \nTwo points\, from Moran and Darragh Kirwan\, was all they managed in the opening 22 minutes\, by which juncture they trailed 0-15 to 0-2. \nCork\, even when turning to face the breeze\, continued to hold momentum. Four of the first five scores after half-time were theirs. Sherlock and Jones swelled their respective tallies. Paul Walsh wrote his name onto the scoresheet. Ian Maguire and Colm O’Callaghan maintained their tormenting of Cian Burke’s restart. \nAt 1-26 to 1-7 in front\, a degree of sloppiness entered Cork’s play. \nJack Robinson rolled in Kildare’s second goal. How they didn’t find a third green flag was incredible. \nMicheál Aodh Martin was introduced as a result of Patrick Doyle being black-carded for his takedown of Brian McLoughlin. Martin’s first action was to stop Alex Beirne’s penalty. He’d subsequently deny Jack Robinson\, twice\, and McLoughlin. There were two further openings that Colm O’Callaghan\, Luke Fahy\, and the crossbar kept out. \nA fourth successive defeat for Kildare. Relegation is getting very real for them. Promotion is once again a live reality for Cork. \n\n \nIan Maguire of Cork in action against Callum Bolton of Kildare during the Allianz Football League Division 2 match between Cork and Kildare at Páirc Uí Rinn in Cork. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Antrim 4-18 Waterford 0-11
DESCRIPTION:Antrim defeated Waterford by 4-18 to 0-11 in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday March 15th at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, Dungarvan. \n\nAntrim run riot to deepen Waterford despair \nReport by By Jack McKay in Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field for RTE Sport \nWaterford’s despair drags on. Yet another Allianz Football League Division 4 defeat\, and this one – inflicted by Antrim – could be seen coming after a quarter of an hour of football. \nThe visitors dominated from start to finish at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, Dungarvan\, on Sunday afternoon. After 15 minutes\, Antrim had 1-06 on the board. By the end of the half\, their tally had reached 2-13. \nEven though their first-half control was aided by a stiff breeze\, the second-half change of ends did little to halt Antrim’s charge. \nThe Saffrons outscored the hosts 0-05 to 0-02 in the first 20 minutes of the latter act. And even when Waterford put their second white flag of the second half on the board through James Walsh\, the Antrim response was the third and fourth green flags to continue the rout. \nFirst\, substitute Ruairi O’Hagan and Joseph Finnegan worked it to Ryan McQuilligan for a slick finish after 59 minutes. Then\, three minutes later\, John McNabb’s ’45’ came off the upright and landed just outside the square. Adam Loughran was quickest to react\, kicking it first time to the net. \nBy that stage\, Antrim’s lead had reached 23. It would peak at 24\, though by conclusion it would stand at 19\, following a couple of well-taken late two-point frees from Michael O’Brien. \nThe early orange flags stood to the Saffrons as they built up an insurmountable advantage. Two of those from outside the arc were struck inside the opening two minutes with the wind\, Pat Shivers and Dominic McEnhill on target. The pair would be gifted a white flag opportunity moments later from a stray Paudie Hunt kickout\, and Shivers would tee up McEnhill for the score. \nThat was the story of the Déise’s first half. Antrim were sharp\, but Waterford were their own worst enemy. They had far too many turnovers. \nAfter 11 minutes\, Antrim drove home their first goal\, Peter Healy and Finnegan combining to set up Marc Jordan for the finish. \nAnd they continued to push further ahead\, McEnhill nailing a two-point free after a Waterford breach\, leaving it 1-10 to 0-01 with 23 minutes played. \nO’Brien would add Waterford’s second point after 25 minutes\, but the visitors hit back with 1-03 unanswered\, Peter Healy slipping through all too easily to dispatch the second goal\, before McEnhill and Paddy McAleer added points. \nBy the interval it was 2-13 to 0-04. On the resumption\, with the wind\, the Déise’s fortunes did not improve. An 11th consecutive league and championship defeat for Waterford\, and a full 365 days without a competitive win. \nWaterford: Paudie Hunt; Tommy Martin\, Billy Hynes\, Conor Ó Cuirrín; Adam Crawford\, Caoimhín Walsh (0-01)\, Glen Power; Dermot Ryan (capt) (0-01)\, Michael O’Brien (0-05\, 2 tpf); James Walsh (0-01)\, Alan Dunwoody\, Liam Mulligan; Darragh Walsh\, Stephen Curry (0-02\, 0-01 f)\, Adam Murray\nSubs: Cian Kiely for Ó Cuirrín (28)\, Colin Foley for Crawford (HT)\, Kyle Flynn for Murray (52)\, Conor Keating (0-01) for D Walsh (57) \nAntrim: John McNabb; John Morgan\, Eunan Walsh\, Kavan Keenan; Joseph Finnegan (0-01)\, Peter Healy (1-00)\, Eoghan McCabe (capt) (0-01); Paddy McAleer (0-02\, 0-01 f)\, Marc Jordan (1-00); Ronan Boyle\, Dominic McEnhill (0-08\, 1 tp\, 1 tpf)\, Tiernan McCormack; Ryan McQuilligan (1-00)\, Adam Loughran (1-00)\, Pat Shivers (0-05\, 1 tp\, 0-01f)\nSubs: Seán O’Neill (0-01) for Jordan (HT)\, Ruairi O’Hagan for Healy (51)\, James McAuley for McCormack (58)\, Tomas McCann for Boyle\, Tom Shivers for P Shivers (both 62) \nReferee: Mark Loughran (Tyrone) \n\nTeam News \n\nWaterford Senior Football Manager\, Ephie Fitzgerald\, has announced his starting lineup to face Antrim in the Allianz Football League:🏐 Allianz Football League – Div 4 Team AnnouncementWaterford 🆚 Antrim – 📅 Sunday\, March 15th- 📍Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, Dungarvan -… pic.twitter.com/xhbZnv3yeR \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) March 13\, 2026 \n \nWATERFORD: Paudie Hunt (Rathgormack)\, Tommy Martin (Gaultier)\, Billy Hynes (Shamrocks)\, Conor Ó Curráin (An Rinn)\, Adam Crawford (Shamrocks)\, Caoimhín Walsh (Kilrossanty)\, Glen Power (Rathgormack)\, Dermot Ryan (The Nire)\, Michael O’Brien (Stradbally)\, James Walsh (Modeligo)\, Alan Dunwoody (Kilrossanty)\, Liam Mulligan (Rathgormack)\, Darragh Walsh (Kilrossanty)\, Stephen Curry (Rathgormack)\, Adam Murray (Rathgormack).\nSubstitutes: Josh Sheridan (Roanmore)\, Cian Kiely (Portlaw)\, David Butler (Colligan)\, Conor Fennell (Stradbally)\, Kyle Fitzmaurice (Kilmacthomas)\, Conor Keating (KilmacThomas)\, Colm Foley (Ballinacourty)\, Declan Sloan (Gaultier)\, Donagh Cooney (Gaultier)\, Darach Ó Cathasaigh (An Rinn)\, Simon Burks (Dunhill).

DESCRIPTION:Wexford defeated Clare by 1-23 to 2-17 in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday March 15th at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg. \n\nWexford’s bid for back-to-back promotions still on course after Clare scalp \nReport by Eoin Brennan courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nDivision 3: Wexford 1-23 Clare 2-17 \nWexford’s remarkable bid for back-to-back National League promotions received its biggest endorsement yet when knocking hosts Clare out of the race in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chiosóg. \nA scintillating second quarter in which the wind-assisted visitors outscored the Banner by 1-14 to 0-02 to soar a whopping 15 points clear by the interval proved decisive for John Hegarty’s side. \nIndeed\, a shell-shocked Clare would fall 16 points in arrears before mounting an inevitable second half backlash including a brace of goals for chief marksman Eoin Cleary and Mark McInerney to slash the deficit to just a goal by the 63rd minute. \nDespite four more two-point attempts from the increasingly desperate hosts\, the inexorable sound of the hooter would also see Clare’s hopes of a return to the second tier dashed for a third successive season. \nOn the flip side\, Wexford’s defiant finish means that they have a glorious winner-takes-all final round showdown against Westmeath next Sunday in Chadwick’s Wexford Park (2pm) for a place in the final against Down allied to that coveted Division 2 return for 2027. \nIt was no more than the Leinster side deserved for their swashbuckling second quarter blitz that was lit up by six two-pointers that perfectly sandwiched an opportunist goal for Shane Doyle in the 25th minute. \nNothing from the opening quarter suggested such a narrative twist as the sides had been level three times while Cormac Murray was unlucky to see a goal chance flash wide of the post for the home side in the 12th minute. \nA trio of two-pointers in as many minutes through Mark Rossiter\, goalkeeper Darragh Brooks and Eoghan Nolan completely altered the script though as while Aaron Griffin responded with a point at the other end\, it would only be a temporary reprieve. \nWith the Banner haemorrhaging two-point efforts\, a 25th-minute punt from substitute Glen Malone was parried by goalkeeper Stephen Ryan into the path of Doyle to return the ball with interest at 1-10 to 0-05. \nAnother hat-trick of two-pointers would complete the rout just before the break\, two from the rampant Pairic Hughes while full-forward Rossiter also doubled his bounty to soar 1-18 to 0-06 clear by the interval. \nThe only way was up for Clare and they duly responded as Connor Meaney’s early two-pointer initiated a 1-5 unanswered rally that culminated in an Eoin Cleary goal after forcing Wexford’s last line into coughing up possession at 1-19 to 1-11 by the 43rd minute. \nSean Nolan did break that momentum with successive singles but a foul on the raiding Cormac Murray at the three-quarters mark reignited the home challenge once more as Mark McInerney coolly converted the resulting penalty low to the right corner. \nQuickly followed by a pair of two-pointers from the same player\, Eoin Cleary also got in on the double-point action to leave just three between the teams by the 63rd minute. \nA tense crescendo ensued but Clare’s incremental desperation allied to the leader’s resilience ensured that Wexford still have their promotion fate very much in their own hands for what is effectively a Division 3 Semi-Final against Leinster rivals Westmeath next Sunday. \nScorers for Wexford: M Rossiter (2tp)\, P Hughes (2tp)\, S Nolan (3f) 0-5 each; D Brooks 0-4 (2tpf); E Nolan 0-3 (1tp); S Doyle 1-0; E Porter 0-1. \nScorers for Clare: M McInerney 1-7 (1-0 Pen\, 1tpf\, 1tp\, 1f); E Cleary 1-4 (1tp\, 1f); A Griffin 0-3 (1f); C Meaney 0-2 (1tp); B McNamara (0-1). \nWexford: D Brooks; L O’Connor\, G Sheehan\, E Porter; S Doyle\, E Nolan\, D Furlong; L Coleman\, C Kehoe; N Hughes\, P Hughes\, C Feeney; T Byrne\, M Rossiter\, S Nolan.\nSubs: G Malone for Feeney (23)\, J Higgins for E. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Wicklow 3-19 Tipperary 0-14
DESCRIPTION:Wicklow defeated Tipperary by 3-19 to 0-14 in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday March 15th at Echelon Park\, Aughrim. \n\nHeavy defeat a major setback to Tipperary’s promotion prospects \nReport by Daniel Kennedy for Tipperarylive.ie \nTipperary footballers’ promotion hopes are almost completely dead and buried as they were beaten by Wicklow by 14 points in Sunday’s game at Echelon Park\, Aughrim. \nTipp won the toss and decided to play into a heavy breeze. Their game plan seemed obvious; hold possession and tire Wicklow\, then\, when with the wind\, go to town on the scoreboard. \nThe plan was working for the opening five minutes\, the only hiccup being when Joe Higgins kicked wide from close range in the third minute. \nIt took Wicklow a few attempts but eventually Kevin Quinn found the target with a two-pointer in the seventh minute\, and from here the floodgates opened. \nQuinn added another two-pointer next\, with Pádráig O’Toole getting the first goal in the 11th minute after Wicklow won Shane Garland’s kickout from Quinn’s second score. \nThe Garden County men worked the ball to O’Toole\, who had snuck in behind the Tipp full back line to create a one on one chance\, which he took. \nOisin McGraynor added another two-pointer before James Morris got Tipp’s first point in the 14th minute. \nThrough McGraynor\, Quinn and then Mark Jackson with two two-pointers from frees\, Tipp were being tormented at the back in the middle third in the first half. \nEoin Darcy got the second goal of the game to cement the home side’s dominance in the 25th minute. \nAfter this goal\, Tipp got back into the game ever so slightly\, with Sean O’Connor scoring a free and then Cian Smith getting a point from play. \nJust before the half finished the crowd was treated to an enthralling sequence of play. Charlie King kicked the ball into Wicklow’s box\, hoping to find a team mate\, only for the ball to hit the goalpost. Wicklow broke and were in the Tipp half\, where Jack Harney thwarted the attack by getting a fist to ball when it was played past his 45. Tipp then broke and it led to Smith taking a shot at goal\, which Jackson saved\, sending it for a 45. \nO’Connor took the 45 and it dropped short; Wicklow caught it with ease and broke down the pitch\, where O’Toole got the final score of the half\, making it Wicklow 2-15 to Tipperary 0-3 at the interval. \nTipp started strongly in the opening five minutes of the second half\, as O’Connor emulated Quinn by getting a two-pointer to start the scoring in the half. \nAgainst the wind\, Wicklow looked a lot more positive than Tipp had. You could probably put that down to them having such a large lead. \nThey nearly got their third goal in the 40th minute when Jack Kirwan went through on goal and took a shot; Garland dived\, saved and sent the ball out for a 45 that Jackson sent wide. \nO’Connor kicked wide with another attempt for a two-pointer next\, while Wicklow were holding up the Tipp attack well and were stopping breaks whenever they came. \nSteven O’Brien scored a 45 in the 47th minute\, but after that Tipp were only kicking wides until Wicklow’s first score of the half came from an Eoin Darcy free. \nSmith scored another point next but saw it cancelled out by Chris O’Brien down at the other end. \nPaddy Creedon came off the bench and scored two points\, while Sean O’Connor scored a pair of two-pointer frees before the end. \nQuinn got his goal in the 69th minute after Garland saved a Dean Healy shot. Creedon had tried to clear only for the ball to end up in the hands of Quinn\, who kicked into an empty net. \nThe game came to a halt in added time as Manus McFadden was adjudged to have been pushed into the post by McGraynor\, as the corner back was running across goal; the ref issued a yellow card\, which should indicate that it was a total accident\, and thankfully McFadden was able to play on after treatment. \nO’Brien scored a 45 to finish the game as Wicklow ran out easy winners. \nWicklow: Mark Jackson (0-4\, 2 2pt\, 4f); Tom Moran\, Matt Nolan\, Malachy Stone; Gavin Fogarty\, Jaques McCall\, Jonny Carlin; Dean Healy\, Jack Kirwan; Chris O’Brien (0-1)\, Pádraig O’Toole (1-1)\, Kevin Quinn (1-5\, 2 2pt); Oisin McGraynor (0-5\, 1 2pt\, 2sl)\, Joe Prendergast\, Eoin Darcy (1-2\, 1f).\nSubs: Cillian McDonald for McCall (61)\, Conor Fee (0-1) for O’Brien (65)\, Cathal Baker for Carlin (69)\, Liam O’Neill for O McGraynor (69)\, Séan Murphy for Quinn (69). \nTipperary: Shane Garland; Jack Harney\, Eoin O’Connell\, Manus McFadden; Mark Stokes\, James Morris (0-1)\, Charlie King; Joe Higgins\, Paudie Feehan; Eoin Craddock\, Steven O’Brien (0-2\, 2 45)\, Kieran Costello; Cian Smyth (0-2)\, Sean O’Connor (0-7\, 3 2pt\, 5f)\, Daithí Hogan.\nSubs: Paddy Creedon (0-2) for Craddock (48)\, Mark Russell for Higgins (48)\, Paddy O’Keeffe for Hogan (49)\, Killian Butler for Stokes (57)\, Michéal Freaney for Feehan (60). \nReferee: James Regan (Cork). \n\nTeam News \nTIPPERARY: Shane Garland (Kilsheelan Kilcash)\, Jack Harney (Moyle Rovers)\, Eoin O’Connell (Loughmore Castleiney)\, Manus McFadden (Grangemockler Ballyneale)\, Mark Stokes (Kilsheelan Kilcash)\, James Morris (Clonmel Commercials)\, Charlie King (Ballina)\, Joe Higgins (Clonmel Commercials)\, Paudie Feehan (Killenaule)\, Eoin Craddock (Holycross Ballycahill)\, Steven O’Brien (Ballina)\, Kieran Costello (Thurles Sarsfields)\, Cian Smith (Clonmel Commercials)\, Sean O’Connor (Clonmel Commercials)\, Daithí Hogan (St. Patrick’s).\nSubstitutes: Robbie McGrath (Galtee Rovers/St. Peacáin’s)\, Luke Boland (Moyle Rovers)\, Darragh Brennan (Ballyporeen)\, Emmet Butler (Kilsheelan Kilcash)\, Killian Butler (Moyle Rovers)\, Mark Corcoran (Clonmel Commercials)\, Micheál Freaney (Kilsheelan Kilcash)\, Orrin Jones (Arravale Rovers)\, Paddy O’Keeffe (Moyle Rovers)\, Jack O’Neill (Ardfinnan)\, Mark Russell (Aherlow).

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Westmeath 4-21 Limerick 3-7
DESCRIPTION:Westmeath defeated Limerick by 4-21 to 3-7 in Round 6 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday March 15th at TEG Cusack Park Mullingar. \n\nWestmeath see off Limerick to set up promotion decider with Wexford \nReport By Gerry Buckley in TEG Cusack Park for RTÉ Sport \nA strong closing quarter enabled Westmeath to ease past Limerick in changeable weather conditions in Mullingar\, thereby ensuring a winner-takes-all showdown for the Lake County men in Wexford next Sunday to secure promotion to Allianz Football League Division 2. \nThe first half was an all-action affair\, with goal chances coming thick and fast at either end. Four of them were converted\, two for each team. Tony McCarthy opened the scoring with a two-pointer for wind-assisted Limerick\, but a great Westmeath move resulted in a Luke Loughlin goal some two minutes later. \nRonan Wallace and Shane Corcoran could have raised green flags for the home team but their second three-pointer eventually arrived in the ninth minute courtesy of Matthew Whittaker to put them 2-01 to 0-02 ahead. \nLimerick got a lifeline in the 12th minute when poor goalkeeping by Jason Daly gifted Shane Cross a goal. \nA well-taken second by Peter Nash in the 17th minute\, when teed up by the lively Danny Neville\, levelled the scoring at 2-04 each. A classy point from Sam McCartan edged Westmeath ahead\, and a point exchange between James Naughton and Kevin O’Sullivan (moments after Eliah O’Riordan had fly-kicked a goal opportunity wide) left Mark McHugh’s men ahead by 2-06 to 2-05 at the interval. \nWestmeath appeared to be coasting when sub Robbie Forde’s 45th-minute goal put them six points clear at 3-09 to 2-06\, but Jimmy Lee’s troops responded well with a well-taken goal from Naughton. \nThe midlanders led by four points\, 3-12 to 3-08\, with just under an hour on the clock and it looked like relegation-threatened Limerick were still very much in the hunt. \nHowever\, with the wind behind them and their subs making noteworthy contributions\, Westmeath scored 1-09 without reply in the closing stages\, thereby overtaking rivals Wexford in the score difference table. \nInspirational captain Wallace scored the goal in the 62nd minute\, and he also kicked his second two-pointer of the afternoon from play. Brían Cooney\, who was prominent all through\, also raised an orange flag as his side pulled away in impressive fashion\, while corner back Boidu Sayeh wrapped up the scoring with a tidy point. \nWestmeath: J Daly; D Scahill\, C Drumm\, B Sayeh (0-01); R Wallace (1-04\, 2 2pt)\, S Allen\, M Whittaker (1-01); S McCartan (0-02\, 1f)\, J Lynam; K O’Sullivan (0-01)\, D McCartan\, B Cooney (0-04\, 1 2pt); S Corcoran\, L Loughlin (1-03\, 1f)\, T Molloy (0-01).\nSubs: R Forde (1-01) for Molloy (41)\, B Kelly (0-02) for D McCartan (46)\, C Dillon for Corcoran (53)\, E McCabe for O’Sullivan (58)\, TJ Cox (0-01) for Lynam (66). \nLimerick: J Alfred; O Collins\, D O’Doherty\, D Buckley; C O’Duinn\, O Moss\, K Ryan\, T McCarthy (0-02\, 2pt); S Clancy\, T Childs; S Cross (1-00)\, C Fahy\, E Riordan; D Neville\, J Naughton (1-01)\, P Nash (1-00).\nSubs: M McCarthy (0-02\, 2pt) for O’Duinn (inj.\, 6)\, C Woulfe for Collins (inj.\, 9)\, R O’Brien (0-01) for Childs (h-t)\, J McCarthy (0-01) for Clancy (inj.\, 39)\, C McSweeney for T McCarthy (inj.\, 48)\, P Maher (0-01) for Naughton (temp\, 57). \nRef: D Boylan (Monaghan).

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Tipperary 2-24 Waterford 1-23
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Waterford by 2-24 to 1-23 in Round 6 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Sunday March 15th at Azzurri Walsh Park Waterford. \n\n\nREPORT: @WaterfordGAA have been relegated to Division 1B as an eight-point half-time cushion wasn’t enough against a @TipperaryGAA team backed by a strong Walsh Park wind. #GAABelong https://t.co/60y3G93ML4 \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) March 15\, 2026 \n \nAllianz HL D1A: Tipp comeback relegates Waterford \nWaterford 1-23 Tipperary 2-24 \nReport By Stephen Barry at Azzurri Walsh Park for GAA.ie \nWaterford have been relegated to Division 1B as an eight-point half-time cushion wasn’t enough against a Tipperary team backed by a strong Walsh Park wind. \nThe Premier looked in a spot of bother when trailing by 1-17 to 1-7 heading into first-half stoppage time\, but they pulled back a pair before the break and won the second period by 1-15 to 0-6 to secure their own top-tier status. \nHurler of the Year John McGrath gained man-of-the-match honours on his first start of 2026\, bagging 1-4\, while half-time substitute Gearóid O’Connor notched the other goal. First-time starter Stefan Tobin was a major positive as the Carrick Swan teenager contributed 0-4. \nThe entire Waterford panel lined up arm-in-arm along the sideline for a pre-match minute’s silence in memory of Benny Kiely\, father of Waterford forward Michael\, which saw this match postponed from the previous Sunday. \nThere were two late changes to the Tipp team with McGrath replacing his brother\, Noel\, and Michael Breen in for Darragh McCarthy. McCarthy’s older brother\, Kevin\, made his league debut. \nIn an unexpected move\, Oisín O’Donoghue lined out at wing-back with Joe Caesar pushed up to the half-forwards. \nWaterford called upon Peter Hogan in place of Jack Fagan. Paddy Leavey\, wearing 9\, slotted in at centre-back with Tadhg de Búrca on the wing. \nThe Déise dominated the middle third from the outset\, swamping Tipp’s attempts to pass through the lines and creating space to exploit at the far end. \nAfter pocketing his second Club Hurler of the Year award at Croke Park on Friday\, Dessie Hutchinson got off to a flier with two early points. He had five by the interval. \nShane Bennett broke forward into those pockets of space from wing-back. While also keeping an eye on Jake Morris\, the Ballysaggart clubman clipped four points. Crucially\, neither would score again after the break. \nBennett’s first made it 0-5 to nil after eight minutes. Jason Forde poached Tipp’s opener but Hutchinson mined an instant response. As the rain clouds opened to clear a large swathe of the uncovered stand\, Morris and a free won and scored by Forde made it 0-7 to 0-3. \nA flowing puck-out move was finished after a Bennett one-two and Reuben Halloran further extended the hosts’ advantage. \nTipp got a foothold with a 1-1 from McGrath. The 22nd-minute goal originated from a poorly struck Morris wide. Billy Nolan’s short puck-out wasn’t gathered by Ian Kenny\, under pressure from Morris\, and the Loughmore-Castleiney star swept in to bounce the sliotar inside the near post for 0-10 to 1-4. \nA Forde free cut the gap to two\, but within the next five minutes\, Waterford reeled off 1-4 without reply. As the rain turned to sunshine\, Seán Walsh’s 24th-minute goal provided the spark. He caught Nolan’s monster puck-out on the opposite 21 and tucked past the advancing Rhys Shelly. \nLiam Cahill called Kevin McCarthy ashore\, while Hogan limped off for Waterford as the Déise strung together points from Bennett\, Darragh Lyons\, a Halloran free\, and Mark Fitzgerald. \nTobin and Forde got Tipp back up and running\, but when Bennett and Hutchinson completed their first-half tallies\, Waterford led by 10. Early substitute Andrew Ormond and Tobin lightened the load by nicking back a pair before the half-time whistle to trail 1-17 to 1-9. \n\nPost-Match Interview with Tipperary Manager Liam Cahill \n\n"I can be fairly sure the intensity levels will be up 3 or 4 notches again here in 5 weeks’ time!” \nLiam Cahill speaks about his side's victory over Waterford today and the prospect of facing the same opposition in 5 week time. \nHurling on OTB with@goapplegreen| #Applegreen pic.twitter.com/jOCktrSmli \n— Off The Ball (@offtheball) March 15\, 2026 \n \n\nTipp channelled that hint of momentum into a four-point streak on the resumption. Tobin tacked on another pair\, while Conor Stakelum and Eoghan Connolly\, after McGrath forced a 65\, found their range. \nAfter a Halloran free\, Tipp pulled back another trio via McGrath\, Connolly\, and Morris. They also had a sequence of goal openings\, which Craig Morgan and Tobin couldn’t catch hold of. \nWaterford were clutching onto their two-point lead as Walsh and Halloran traded scores with Forde and McGrath. \nThey lost their advantage in the 58th minute. McGrath flicked the sliotar into Morris’s path and the vice-captain surged through a couple of tackles before laying off for O’Connor to slip an acute shot to the net. \nTipp led 2-18 to 1-20 and although Halloran twice levelled\, either side of a Forde free\, the Premier forged clear from the 65th minute onwards. \nBryan O’Mara came up with a vital defensive intervention to negate a Walsh goal chance before O’Donoghue\, Ormond and McGrath provided a three-point cushion. \nHalloran nailed a 65 and Darragh McCarthy rounded out the scoring with two late frees. Tipp did get a fright in between when Hutchinson’s pass across goal was swiped away by Darragh Stakelum. \n\n \nJake Morris of Tipperary is tackled by Shane Bennett of Waterford during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Waterford and Tipperary at Azzuri Walsh Park in Waterford. DESCRIPTION:Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar defeated CBS The Green Tralee by 3-11 to 1-16 in the Masita All-Ireland Post Primary Schools Hogan Cup (Senior A Football) Final on Tuesday March 17th at Croke Park. \n\n\nInjury-time Scahill point sees Mullingar edge out Tralee CBS in landmark Hogan Cup win https://t.co/vlUKvPpkiK \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 17\, 2026 \n \nInjury-time Scahill point sees Mullingar edge out Tralee CBS in landmark Hogan Cup win \nReport by Paul Keane courtesy of Irish Examiner newspaper \nMasita All-Ireland PPS Hogan Cup Senior A football final: Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar 3-11 Tralee CBS 1-16 \nWill Scahill nailed a dramatic stoppage-time winning point as Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar made a little piece of Hogan Cup history at Croke Park. \nClaiming a first-ever college football title for the school\, it was also the first time since Carmelite College Moate won in 1981 that a Westmeath team has come out on top. \nBut when Gearóid White pointed for Tralee CBS in the 60th minute\, capping a brilliant fightback after a disastrous start\, it looked like it would be another All-Ireland win for a Kerry team. \nThe Mullingar students found their second wind when it really mattered\, levelling the game through Finn Higgins in the 62nd minute and then claiming a memorable win when Scahill scored. \nThe Shandonagh man finished with 1-2\, the same tally as player of the match Michael Moloney while Conor Cleary grabbed their other goal. \nThere was a big impact too from Paul Keating who scored three points as the midlanders capped a dream campaign with a huge win for Westmeath football. \nAny lazy presumption that the cream of Kerry would rise above the Westmeath outfit to take top second-level honours was wiped out straight away. \nThe game was only seconds old when Will Scahill pointed for Mullingar and when Moloney created a goal chance\, and took a point\, they’d signposted their intentions to go for the jugular. \nScahill then struck their goal\, slamming to the roof of the net in the third minute\, before points from Stephen McWade and Paul Keating. \nBig Críostóir Ormsby plucked a ball from the air to engineer the Keating score and suddenly the Mullingar side led by 1-4 to no score\, with only five minutes on the clock. \nIt was dreamland stuff for manager Dean McNicholas\, his backroom and all of their vocal support packed into the Hogan Stand. \nMidfielder Máirtín McKivergan was the player that finally got Tralee going\, powering into the game and dragging his team-mates along with him. \nFour points from the Ballymacelligott talent\, including a monster two-point free conversion\, hauled the side in green right back into it. \nThe problem for Tralee was that Coláiste Mhuire kept scoring goals to keep themselves just out of reach. \nConor Cleary scored a cracking goal in the 15th minute\, taking out Eoin O’Flaherty with a dummo solo and then Michael Enright with a sidestep before finishing sweetly. \nFinn Higgins was the creator for their third goal just before half time\, rolling away from defender Enright and passing across for Moloney to palm in. \nIt was a goal against the run of play that left Coláiste Mhuire 3-6 to 0-9 up at half time. \nTralee continued to pile on the pressure after the restart\, dominating the third quarter to finally get back to level terms in the 47th minute. \nRonan Carroll’s third score of the half\, from a free\, was the one that levelled it up at 1-14 to 3-8 but McKenna’s 41st minute goal was the score that really ignited them. \nTom Quilter fist-passed over the top for McKenna to run onto and he finished adroitly from the left of goals. \nAnd when Nick Lacey finally put Tralee ahead for the first time in the game with a 54th minute point\, they seemed to have all the momentum. \nThey led again entering stoppage time after White’s fisted score but Mullingar had saved a strong kick for the last lap\, pointing from Higgins and then Scahill to seal the landmark win. \n\n \nBen Sheerin of Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar races clear of Eoin O’Flaherty of Tralee CBS in persuit of the ball during the Masita GAA Post Primary Schools Hogan Cup final match between Coláiste Mhuire Mullingar\, Westmeath\, and Tralee CBS\, Kerry\, at Croke Park in Dublin. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 - Kerry 2-18 Meath 0-18
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated Meath by 2-18 to 0-18 in Round 7 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 on Saturday March 21st at St. Loman’s Park Trim. \n\n\nKerry promoted to Division 1B after Royal win in Trim https://t.co/8vzwe3aA5U \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 21\, 2026 \n \nKerry promoted to Division 1B after Royal win in Trim \nReport by Mortimer Murphy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz HL Div 2: Kerry 2-18 Meath 0-18 \nKerry are promoted to Division 1B of the Allianz Hurling League following a scrappy six point win over Meath. The Kingdom will also face Laois in the Division 2 Final on Saturday next at O’Moore Park for a chance to out the cherry on top of a great league campaign. \nIt was a win fully deserved too but Kerry had to graft against a Meath side who wouldn’t roll over and had play the final twenty five minutes of the game with only 14 players after wing forward Damien Healy\, was issued with a straight red for a foul on Kyle O’Connor. \nMeath welcomed Kerry to St Loman’s Park knowing that only a win over the Kingdom and an unlikely result in Castlebar – with Mayo needing to take down Westmeath – would suffice if the Royals were to have any chance of making the league final and promotion to Div 1B. \nKerry had the bit between their teeth early on with two points from Ronan Walsh and one from Colin Walsh. Meath squandered a number of scoring chances\, shooting three wides and two into the Conor Bohane’s grasp. \nThe game’s crucial moment came when Meath captain Dara Shine dragged down Colin Walsh in a goal scoring position\, and referee Peter Owens issued him with a black card. That only left Ronan Walsh to fire home from the spot\, which he did with aplomb blasting it low to Meath keeper Gavin King’s left. \nSuddenly the Kingdom were 1-3 to a point in front. \nThe black card appeared to revitalize Meath though\, and they outscored Kerry 0-5 to 0-2 in a blistering thirteen minute spell thanks to points from Damien Healy\, three frees from Tom Shine and a point from Sean Doyle with Colin Walsh and Jason Diggins replying for the Kingdom. \nKerry suffered a body blow on the half-hour mark with the loss of ace marksman Oisin Maunsell after he picked up a knock. His replacement Padraig Boyle fired over a point with his first touch – despite not playing any hurling since last August. \nKerry upped the tempo before half time with a succession of points from Jordan Brick\, Liam Og O’Connor (2)\, James O’Connor\, Ronan Walsh and Tom Doyle as Kerry retired 1-12 to 0-8 at half time. \nMeath’s promotion hopes took a major hit three minutes into the second period when Ronan Walsh set up Tom Doyle to finish to the Meath net. Soon after points followed by Podge Boyle\, and Kyle O’Connor and the Meath challenge was essentially killed off\, as Kerry stretched 2-14 to 0-10 clear. \nDespite being reduced to 14 men in the 45th minute\, Meath never gave up and points from Shines Dara and Tom and Joey Cole soon had the lead back to six points but that was as close as Meath got. \nScorers for Meath: T Shine (0-7\, 6fs)\, D Shine (0-4\,1f)\, L Byrne (0-2)\, P O’Halloran (65)\, D King (1f)\, J Cole\, R Fagan and S Doyle (0-1 each). \nScorers for Kerry: R Walsh (1-4\, 1-0 pen\, 3fs\, 1’65)\, T Doyle (1-1)\, P Boyle (0-4\, 1f)\, C Walsh and Liam Og O’Connor (0-2 each)\, K O’Connor\, J O’Connor\, J Diggins\, K Goulding and J Brick (0-1 each). \nMEATH: G King; J Ennis\, S Geraghty\, L O’Connor\, N Conroy\, D Shine\, S Ennis; J Cole\, E Donegan; D Healy\, T Shine; L Byrne\, R Fagan\, S Doyle\, M Cole.\nSubs: P O’Hanrahan for R Fagan (h/t)\, S Cole for S Doyle (55)\, J Walsh for E Donegan (62)\, K Mulligan for L O’Connor (71). \nKERRY: C Bohane; E Leen\, S McGrath\, K O’Connor; J O’Connor\, J Diggins\, M Leane; K Goulding\, R Walsh; T Doyle\, C Walsh\, J Brick; M Slattery\, D Casey\, O Maunsell.\nSubs: L Og O’Connor for D Casey (27)\, P Boyle for O Maunsell (29)\, L Rochford for M Slattery (60)\, E Murphy for J Diggins (60)\, A Segal for K Goulding (66). \nReferee: P Hayes (Down). \n\nTeam News \n\n🥎TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Hurling League \nKerry play Meath in Round 7 of the 2026 Allianz Hurling League Roinn 2 \nFor full team news: https://t.co/BZ9cZkCURk#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/A0jHGLIJ0r \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) March 20\, 2026 \n \nKERRY (NHL v Meath): C Bohane\, E Leen\, S McGrath\, K O’Connor\, J O’Connor\, J Diggins\, M Leane\, K Goulding\, R Walsh\, T Doyle\, C Walsh\, J Brick\, M Slattery\, D Casey\, O Maunsell\nSubs: D Quirke\, D Kearney\, L Rochford\, A Segal\, L Óg O’Connor\, I Conway\, S Foran\, H Lenihan\, P Boyle\, D Slattery\, E Murphy \n\nICYMI \nThe Meath panel to take on Kerry today in Round 7 of the Allianz Hurling League. \nThrow in is at 13:00 in St. Loman’s Park\, Trim. \n🎟️’s are available from selected SuperValu/Centra stores or via https://t.co/kJX69jUc0K#MeathGAA #McNamaraFeeds pic.twitter.com/cjwGMg91M4 \n— Meath GAA (@MeathGAA) March 21\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship - Tipperary 3-13 Limerick 2-9
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Limerick by 3-13 to 2-9 in Round 2 of the Dalata Hotel Group GAA Under 20 Munster Football Championship Phase 1 on Saturday March 21st at New Inn. \n\n\n🏐 @TipperaryGAA defeat @LimerickCLG in Dalata Hotel Group @MunsterGAA U20 Football Championship #GAA ⬇️ https://t.co/56gkU2UoXE \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) March 21\, 2026 \n \nDalata Hotel Group Munster U20 Championship action \nTipperary 3-13 Limerick 2-9 \nReport By Stephen Barry at New Inn for GAA.ie \nTipperary staged a 13-point second-half turnaround against Limerick to reawaken their Dalata Hotel Group Munster U20 Football Championship ambitions at a sunny yet breezy New Inn. \nTwo goals from the Treaty’s appropriately named targetman\, Aidan O’Shea\, pushed them into a 2-6 to 1-3 half-time lead. \nHowever\, Liam Freaney finished with 2-4 and won a penalty\, while Charlie Walsh struck 1-4 to swing the verdict in Tipp’s favour. In total\, they won the second half by 2-10 to 0-3. \nThe hosts got off to a dream start when captain Freaney surged through the heart of the Limerick defence. His shot was saved by Cian Purcell\, but Walsh was on alert to poke home the rebound inside 60 seconds. When Freaney won and converted a two-point free into the wind\, they led 1-2 to 0-1. \n\nCharlie Walsh Goal for Tipperary \n\nEarly GOAL for @TipperaryGAA 🔵🟡 \nLiam Freaney's shot is saved and scrambled over the line by Charlie WalshPerfect start for the Premier County 💪@MunsterGAA | https://t.co/QU7uPhpieW 📺 pic.twitter.com/Ad8EFLpDgT \n— Clubber (@clubber) March 21\, 2026 \n \n\nLimerick overwhelmed them to the tune of 2-5 to 0-1 from there to the break. Moving midfielder O’Shea onto the edge of the square destabilised the Tipp defence. He snatched Liam Glynn’s long ball to steer home a low strike on the quarter-hour. \nOn either side\, Andrew Lyons and Conor Ó Longaigh fizzed goal chances over the crossbar amid a 1-5 streak. \nLyons added Limerick’s sole orange flag from a free before O’Shea latched onto Pádraic Phelan’s ball in for a second goal and a six-point interval lead. \nTipp called upon Dylan Cotter at half-time. He would make a big impact at midfield\, while Seán Griffin switched to full-back. \nFirst\, Walsh nailed a patiently worked two-pointer. Then\, Freaney won a penalty\, which Mark Neville scooped over the bar. \nLimerick still led by four at the three-quarter mark\, but all three of their second-half points came from Lyons frees\, as he ended with 0-7. \nFreaney turned the contest by drilling two goals in the space of three minutes. Cotter claimed the kick-outs for both and later added two points of his own. \nTipp extended that burst into 2-5 without reply\, thanks to a pair of orange flags from a Walsh free and James Power. \n\nLiam Freaney goal for Tipperary \n\nGOAL @TipperaryGAA! 🔥 \nDylan Cotter with a brilliant catch straight from the kickout and tees up his center forward Liam Freaney who slots home as cool as you like off the left boot 🥶@MunsterGAA | https://t.co/QU7uPhpieW 📺 pic.twitter.com/AdjtTKEBCc \n— Clubber (@clubber) March 21\, 2026 \n \n\nThe other round 2 game\, between Waterford and Clare\, was rescheduled for Saturday\, March 28th\, at 2pm in Lemybrien\, as a mark of respect following the tragic passing of Clare strength and conditioning coach Jack Boddy. \n\nPost-Match Interview with Tipperary Manager Paddy O’Gorman \n\n"Life is precious. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Cork 6-26 Offaly 0-20
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Offaly by 6-26 to 0-20 in Round 7 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Saturday March 21st at Supervalu Páirc Uí Chaoimh. \n\n\nREPORT: @OfficialCorkGAA were always in control against @Offaly_GAA ⬇️https://t.co/5WYvT7O8KG \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) March 21\, 2026 \n \nAllianz HL D1A: Cork cruise to victory \nCork 6-26 Offaly 0-20 \nReport from GAA.ie \nGoalscoring power helped Cork to ease clear of Offaly at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday night as they booked a spot in a second successive Allianz HL Division 1A final. \nA clash with Limerick in a fortnight gives the Rebels the chance to retain the title they were waiting 27 years to win; they knew that a win or a draw here would guarantee them passage – as things transpired\, they would have advance with a loss\, but a home defeat was never likely. \nThey were set on their way with an early Barry Walsh goal\, but it took time to get on top as Offaly contended well\, with Dan Ravenhill impressing for them. With 22 minutes gone\, it was 1-5 to 0-6\, but Alan Connolly’s frees pushed Cork into a seven-point advantage before two goals coming up to half-time allowed them to solidify the advantage. \nFirst\, Hugh O’Connor’s delivery was deftly met by Brian Hayes in the air to divert the ball past Liam Hoare\, who had earlier helped to prevent a couple of other Cork goal chances. Cork were fortunate in that a third goal arrived immediately after\, with Darragh Fitzgibbon gifted a loose ball close ball close to goal before firing home. \nA 3-10 to 0-7 advantage with the wind to come meant the outcome was inevitable and Cork found a greater attacking fluency in the second half\, under-pinned by the impact of subs William Buckley and Declan Dalton\, showcasing the competition for places. \nJust after Dalton slung over a lovely ball from the left\, they had a fourth goal as Mark Coleman’s pass allowed Hayes to demonstrate super ball control before a batted finish; as in the opening period\, a goal from him was followed by one from Fitzgibbon to make it 5-15 to 0-10. \nTheir sixth goal came not long after\, Tim O’Mahony with a crashing finish\, and though Offaly’s Adam Screeney did keep their tally ticking over\, the visitors never threatened a goal. \nCork sub Pádraig Power marked his return to action after 14 months out with a pair of points while another replacement\, Robbie O’Flynn\, almost had another goal at the death\, but Hoare diverted his shot over the bar. \nScorers for Cork: Alan Connolly 0-8 (8fs)\, Darragh Fitzgibbon 2-2 (1f)\, Brian Hayes 2-1\, Mark Coleman 0-3\, Barry Walsh\, Tim O’Mahony 1-0 each\, Shane Barrett\, Pádraig Power\, Declan Dalton (1f)\, William Buckley 0-2 each\, Eoin Downey\, Brian Keating\, Hugh O’Connor\, Robbie O’Flynn 0-1 each. \nScorers for Offaly: Adam Screeney 0-7 (4fs)\, Dan Ravenhill 0-4\, Brian Duignan 0-3\, Daniel Bourke 0-2\, Sam Bourke\, Brecon Kavanagh\, Ross Ravenhill\, Jack Clancy 0-1 each. \nCork: Patrick Collins; Niall O’Leary\, Ciarán Joyce\, Seán O’Donoghue; Eoin Downey\, Robert Downey\, Mark Coleman; Tim O’Mahony\, Tommy O’Connell; Darragh Fitzgibbon\, Shane Barrett\, Hugh O’Connor; Barry Walsh\, Alan Connolly\, Barry Hayes.\nSubs: Declan Dalton for Connolly\, William Buckley for Walsh (both half-time)\, Robbie O’Flynn for Hayes (48)\, Pádraig Power for Fitzgibbon (53)\, Brian Keating for O’Mahony (59). \nOffaly: Liam Hoare; Cathal King\, Ben Conneely\, Brecon Kavanagh; Ross Ravenhill\, Killian Sampson\, Donal Shirley; Eimhin Kelly\, Dan Ravenhill; Ter Guinan\, Daniel Bourke\, Conor Doyle; Oisín Kelly\, Brian Duignan\, Adam Screeney.\nSubs: Colin Spain for Eimhin Kelly\, Luke Nolan for Oisín Kelly (both half-time)\, Sam Bourke for King (46)\, Jack Clancy for Doyle (54)\, Eoghan Cailll for Guinan (62). \nReferee: Johnny Murphy (Limerick). \n\nTeam News \n\nCork team for meeting with Offaly on Saturday in SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh pic.twitter.com/uEznjw4Nvg \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) March 20\, 2026 \n \nCORK (NHL v Offaly): P Collins (Ballinhassig)\, N O’Leary (Castleyons)\, C Joyce (Castlemartyr)\, S O’Donoghue (Inniscarra)\, E Downey (Glen Rovers)\, R Downey (Glen Rovers)\, M Coleman (Blarney)\, T O’Mahony (Newtownshandrum)\, T O’Connell (Midleton)\, D Fitzgibbon (Charleville\, c)\, S Barrett (Blarney)\, H O’Connor (Newmarket)\, B Walsh (Killeagh)\, A Connolly (Blackrock)\, B Hayes (St Finbarr’s)\nSubs: P O’Sullivan (Fr O’Neill’s)\, G Millerick (Fr O’Neill’s)\, D O’Sullivan (Ballinhassig)\, E Roche (Bride Rovers)\, C O’Brien (Newtownshandrum)\, B Keating (Ballincollig)\, R O’Flynn (Erin’s Own)\, D Dalton (Fr O’Neill’s)\, B Cunningham (St Finbarr’s)\, W Buckley (St Finbarr’s)\, P Power (Blarney) \n\nOffaly team to Cork tomorrow. \nBest of luck lads. pic.twitter.com/yS4CVpIhHX \n— Official Offaly GAA (@Offaly_GAA) March 20\, 2026 \n \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis game will be shown live on SpórtTG4 YouTube.

The was largely the reason they prevailed and made it five victories on the bounce to top the table. \nAfter a sluggish start\, Limerick went from 0-5 to 0-1 down to move well clear as David Reidy\, Aaron Gillane and Gearoid Hegarty all contributed to turning that around while the goal from O’Neill punished Galway’s poor second quarter. \nHe raced on to intercept a pass\, and sprinted from the 65m line to the 20m line\, before unleashing a piledriver to the net. \nAdam English\, who chipped in with three first half points almost got a second goal on the stroke of half-time\, but Darach Fahy saved the ball over the crossbar to end the half. \nA trio of subs issued by Michaél Donoghue seemed to spark the revival as Colm Molloy\, Darragh Neary and Brian Concannon were among those to score after the restart. \nMore than 12\,000 supporters paid in to the TUS Gaelic Grounds and they were to witness an unlikely second half fightback from Galway – who now must wait until mid-April for their next competitive outing\, which is against Kilkenny. \nCathal Mannion led the charge but so too did youngsters Jason Rabbitte and Aaron Niland who helped cut the gap to two points late on. A run of five in just five minutes between 55 and 60 minutes were key here. \nJust when it seemed they may haul the contest level Limerick stuck a huge blow. Gillane’s instinctive green flag pushed the gap back out\, he whipped on a ball which rebounded off the post. \nHunting a late goal\, it failed to arrive as Cathal Mannion’s free was deflected for a 65. \n\n \nBarry Nash of Limerick in action against Conor Whelan of Galway during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Limerick and Galway at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Tipperary 2-27 Kilkenny 3-24
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary and Kilkenny drew on a scoreline of 2-27 to 3-24 in Round 7 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Saturday March 21st at 7FBD Semple Stadium Thurles. \n\n\nREPORT: An exciting Allianz Hurling League encounter between rivals @TipperaryGAA and @KilkennyCLG ended with the spoils being divided #GAA ⬇️https://t.co/3kSe6OKSbZ \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) March 21\, 2026 \n \nAllianz HL D1A: Thurles tussle finishes level \nTipperary 2-27 Kilkenny 3-24 \nReport By Stephen Barry at FBD Semple Stadium for GAA.ie \nJordan Molloy struck the 74th-minute equaliser as Kilkenny and Tipperary warmed up for their provincial championship campaigns with an absorbing draw in front of 10\,240 fans at FBD Semple Stadium. \nSeanie Kenneally appeared to have arrowed over the winning point. But after an injury delay\, there was time for one final play as the Cats capitalised on a Tipp mistake to level. \nOn his return to action\, TJ Reid tallied 1-8\, while Jake Morris (1-5) and free-taker Jason Forde (0-8\, including two sideline cuts) led the way for Tipp\, for whom John McGrath was a late withdrawal. \nKilkenny had averaged just 1-17 across their five league games to date\, but they looked on track to set their highest total from the first whistle. Cian Kenny and Eoin Cody ferried the sliotar forward from the throw-in\, Tom Phelan lured in the last defender\, and Liam Moore flicked it to the net after just 20 seconds. \nThe visitors’ shooting was immaculate as Kenny\, Reid\, and Mossy Keoghan moved them 1-9 to 0-6 ahead. \nTipp would be back level within six minutes. A minute’s silence had been observed for Nenagh Éire Óg stalwart Jimmy Morris before the throw-in. His grandson\, Tipp vice-captain Jake\, hit the net in the 20th minute after Forde steered the sliotar into his path. The All-Star forward stayed inside to add a point before two from Forde\, including a spectacular sideline cut\, and one from Alan Tynan equalised at 1-10 apiece. \nKilkenny had notched 1-10 from 11 shots before their first miss. Tipp took their first lead on the stroke of half-time with Michael Breen’s missile followed by a Forde free for a 1-14 to 1-13 lead. \nIf Kilkenny had a rapid start to the first half\, Tipp had an even quicker beginning to the second. Tynan led the charge from the throw-in before Darragh Stakelum’s shot was saved by Aidan Tallis. It fell straight for Darragh McCarthy to bat home with the clock showing 15 seconds. \nKilkenny pulled back three points in a row. Tipp strung together the next four. They nearly added a goal\, but Tallis saved from Eoghan Connolly and Morris\, while Darragh Corcoran blocked Seán Kenneally’s rebound. \nTrailing by five\, Kilkenny reeled off 1-4 without reply. Reid contributed the first 1-2\, lobbing the advancing Rhys Shelly for the 52nd-minute goal. \nTallis saved brilliantly from McCarthy at the other end before a Connolly brace levelled at 2-21 apiece. From the puck-out\, Keoghan’s sensational control from an Eoin Cody pass allowed him to fire to the net. \nForde’s second sideline cut trimmed the deficit. Reid flicked a goal chance just over. Connolly and Forde frees levelled. Morris and Ed McDermott traded points to begin the two added minutes\, and it was still all square by the finish. \n\n \nOisin O’Donoghue of Tipperary scores a point despite the tackle of Richie Reid of Kilkenny during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Tipperary and Kilkenny at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles\, Tipperary. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Tipperary 4-19 Waterford 0-18
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Waterford by 4-19 to 0-18 in Round 7 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday March 22nd at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles. \n\n\nSeán O'Connor grabs hat-trick as Tipperary hammer Waterford https://t.co/Of3IT0M7jk \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) March 22\, 2026 \n \nSeán O’Connor grabs hat-trick as Tipperary hammer Waterford \nReport by Stephen Barry courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nDivision 4: Tipperary 4-19 (4-1-17) Waterford 0-18 (0-3-12) \nSeán O’Connor bagged 3-4 as Tipperary ran out 13-point victors over Waterford in front of 141 fans at FBD Semple Stadium. \nThe Premier had entered as the joint lowest goalscorers in the league\, alongside Armagh on three. They put that stat right with three first-half goals before O’Connor completed his hat-trick towards the end. \nCian Smith also had a strong showing with five from play in a 0-7 tally. \nBoth sides were looking to bounce back from respective double-digit defeats against Wicklow and Antrim. Each made two changes to their published teams. \nRecent Tipp hurling panellist Paddy Creedon replaced Steven O’Brien\, while Micheál Freaney swapped in for Mark Stokes. \nAfter serving a one-game suspension\, Waterford captain Conor Murray was named to start for Darragh Walsh\, while Simon Burns took over from Paudie Hunt in goals. That duo finished as the Déise’s top scorers on 0-4 apiece. \nThe hosts opened with an unanswered 1-4 streak. \nTwo Manus McFadden turnovers led to Daithí Hogan and Smith points. Paudie Feehan had a goal chance blocked by Dermot Ryan\, but when Liam Mulligan picked the ball off the ground\, David Murnane awarded a penalty. O’Connor’s emphatic finish sent Burns the wrong way. \nWaterford’s late call-ups kicked 0-4 in response. Murray scored off right and left before Burns landed an orange-flag free. \nFeehan and Hogan probed for goals\, but settled for points. O’Connor slotted a two-pointer when playing with advantage for a 1-9 to 0-7 lead. Burns trotted upfield to slot a two-point reply from a free. \nBilly Hynes saved his side by taking Hogan’s palmed effort off the line and Alan Dunwoody cut the gap to two approaching half-time. \nHowever\, Tipp would score the final 2-2 before the break. Midfielder Joe Higgins notched his first senior inter-county score by lashing an instinctive 14-yard dart to the net. \nWaterford appeared to have an instant response when Mulligan turned in Adam Crawford’s low shot\, but Murnane ruled it out for a square ball. \nTipp countered for a Smith point and added a goal from the kick-out with Feehan releasing O’Connor\, who survived a jersey pull to finish low. Charlie King’s point made it double scores\, 3-11 to 0-10\, at half-time. \nWaterford’s half-time protests saw Murnane restart the second half with a 14-yard free\, tapped over by O’Connor. Tipp blocked down the next three Waterford attacks via Jack Harney\, McFadden\, and Feehan. \nOtherwise\, the second half was played at a pedestrian pace as both sides went through the motions. Tipp outpointed Waterford 0-6 to 0-4 until O’Connor completed his hat-trick in the 63rd minute after a slick interchange with Emmet Moloney. \nMurray responded with a huge two-pointer\, while Premier sub Mark Russell slotted two stylish points. \nScorers for Tipperary: S O’Connor (3-4\, 1-0 pen\, 1tp\, 2 frees); C Smith (0-7\, 2 frees); J Higgins (1-0); P Feehan\, D Hogan\, M Russell (0-2 each); J Morris\, C King (0-1 each). \nScorers for Waterford: S Burns (2tpf)\, C Murray (tp) (0-4 each); S Curry (0-3\, 1 free); D Ryan\, A Murray (0-2 each); M O’Brien (free)\, L Mulligan\, A Dunwoody (0-1 each). \nTIPPERARY: S Garland; J Harney\, E O’Connell\, M McFadden; K Costello\, J Morris\, C King; J Higgins\, P Feehan (capt); E Craddock\, P Creedon\, M Freaney; C Smith\, S O’Connor\, D Hogan.\nSubs: K Butler for Freaney (50)\, E Moloney for Craddock (50)\, M Russell for Creedon (50)\, R McGrath for Garland (57)\, P O’Keeffe for O’Connor (65). \nWATERFORD: S Burns; T Martin\, B Hynes\, C Ó Cuirrín; G Power\, C Walsh\, A Crawford; M Curry\, M O’Brien; C Murray (capt)\, D Ryan\, L Mulligan; A Dunwoody\, S Curry\, A Murray.\nSubs: A Ryan for Dunwoody (41)\, D Butler for Walsh (61)\, C Kiely for Crawford (65)\, C Keating for S Curry (67). \nReferee: D Murnane (Cork). \n\nTeam News \n\nThe Tipperary Senior Football team for Sunday’s clash with Waterford has been named by Niall Fitzgerald and his management team.https://t.co/tOjgh46uV7 pic.twitter.com/JTyP4s3YtM \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) March 20\, 2026 \n \n\nWaterford Senior Football Manager\, Ephie Fitzgerald\, has announced his starting lineup to face Tipperary in the Allianz Football League:🏐 Allianz Football League – Div 4 Team AnnouncementWaterford 🆚 Tipperary 📅 Sunday\, March 22nd 📍FBD Semple Stadium\, Thurles – 🕐 1:00pm… pic.twitter.com/AyEcMxku7k \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) March 20\, 2026

DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Tyrone by 0-22 to 0-19 in Round 7 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 on Sunday March 22nd at O’Neill’s Healy Park Omagh. \n\n\n🏐 REPORT: @OfficialCorkGAA promoted following impressive away win over @TyroneGAALive ⬇️ https://t.co/Y0iwtvUk6K \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) March 22\, 2026 \n \nAllianz FL D2: Cork promoted following victory \nCork 0-22 Tyrone 0-19 \nReport By Francis Mooney at O’Neill’s Healy Park for GAA.ie \nCork’s ten-year absence from Division One was brought to an end in glorious fashion at O’Neills Healy Park\, where they clinched promotion with victory over Tyrone. \nJohn Cleary’s outfit still have a league title to play for when they take on Meath at Croke Park next weekend. \nThe first half graft which saw them take a slender lead into the interval after playing into the lead stood to the Munster men as they faced a resurgent Red Hand after the restart\, with the sides level on five occasions before Brian Hurley came off the bench to drive it home. \nCork faced into a gusting breeze\, but established a platform around midfield with an aggressive press on the Tyrone kcik-out\, easing ahead through Mark Cronin\, Colm O’Callaghan\, and Stephen Sherlock. \nTyrone got off the mark in the ninth minute through Ethan Jordan\, but they were reeling in the face of their opponent’s direct running\, with O’Callaghan\, Brian O’Driscoll and Tommy Walsh always ready to take on defenders. \nO’Callaghan powered through for his second score\, and they came close to grabbing a goal\, Sean McDonnell getting on the end of a move involving Ian Maguire and Cronin to fire in a shot that was well saved by Oisin O’Kane. \nTyrone responded with a Jordan two-pointer\, but the Munster men went five clear by the end of the opening quarter as they reeled off three scores in a row. \nThe Red Hands managed to turn the midfield battle around as Brian Kennedy made a couple of bit fetches\, closing the gap through Mattie Donnelly\, who was also involved in the move\, along with Darragh Canavan\, that ended with Darren McCurry crashing a fierce shot against the crossbar. \nFeeding off turnovers\, they maintained a strong finish to the half\, Darragh Canavan and Donnelly narrowing the gap to a single point\, with Cork taking a 0-9 to 0-8 lead into the interval. \nIn the opening moments of the second half\, substitute Eoin McElholm got through to force Cork ‘keeper Patrick Doyle into a save\, \nTyrone briefly led through Donnelly\, but Cork\, breaking at pace\, regained the lead as O’Callaghan stroked over his third of the afternoon. \nThe advantage changed rapidly as Canavan and Donnelly struck again\, but Cork\, with dynamic wing backs Brian O’Driscoll and Luke Fahy making ground along the flanks\, regained control. \nWhen Steven Sherlock sent over a brilliant two-pointer\, followed by a free\, they led by three moving into the final quarter. \nWhile Donnelly kept the Red Hands in touch\, bringing his tally to six from play\, it was Cork who had the finishing power\, Hurley seeing a long range effort bounce over for a two-pointer\, and a late fisted effort to seal victory. \n\n \nChris Og Jones of Cork in action against Cormac Quinn and Niall Devlin of Tyrone during the Allianz Football League Division 2 match between Tyrone and Cork at O’Neills Healy Park in Omagh\, Tyrone. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Sligo 2-23 Clare 0-28
DESCRIPTION:Sligo defeated Clare by 2-23 to 0-28 in Round 7 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday March 22nd at Markievicz Park\, Sligo. \n\nSligo strike late to pull off great escape with 14 men \nReport By Liam Maloney for RTÉ Sport \nSligo saved their Division 3 bacon with a dramatic one-point defeat of Clare in a humdinger at Markievicz Park. \nSubstitute Jack Lavin kicked the winning score with a minute left as the hosts overcame the 44th-minute dismissal of Darragh Cummins to make a great escape. \nSecond-half goals from Kyle Cawley and Cian Lally proved crucial for the home side\, who were pegged back at different stages by the accuracy of Clare’s brilliant attack\, with Mark McInerney shooting 0-12. \nClare will wonder how they didn’t at least raise one green flag in a thriller. \nSligo\, who only won two of their previous six games\, came into this round seven fixture needing a win to be absolutely sure of their Division Three status for another campaign. \nClare came to the north-west with a better record – three wins from six – and they had been involved in the title race up until a seven-point loss to Wexford in the previous round. \nSligo started with intent and were 0-03 to 0-00 up inside the opening four minutes – two of these points came from Alan McLoughlin\, who kicked 0-04 in that first-half. \nThe home side continued to play positively and by the 20th minute they had opened up a four-point lead\, 0-10 to 0-06. \nSligo’s lead could have been greater as their 10th point was a goalbound shot from Cian Lally that was tipped over by Clare goalkeeper Tristan O’Callaghan. \nBut wind-assisted Clare then won a series of restarts to gain an upper hand. \nExceptional scores from Mark McInerney and Aaron Griffin pushed Clare into a two-point lead at the break\, 0-16 to 0-14\, as the visitors landed six two-pointers in the first-half (five from play and one via a free). \nSligo were grateful for two defensive interceptions from Tommy Ross\, a Sigerson Cup winner with UL\, and at the other end the influential Alan McLoughlin might have had two goals. \nThe second-half was an emotional rollercoaster for both sets of fans\, with Sligo also keeping an eye on Limerick’s game against Fermanagh which Sligo needed to end in a draw if they failed to win here. \nSligo were four points down\, 0-20 to 0-16\, when they lost Cummins to a second yellow card – this dismissal came with 44 minutes on the clock. \nClare\, for whom Mark McInerney was exceptional throughout\, as was Aaron Griffin\, later went five points clear. \nExcellent goals from substitute Kyle Cawley and then Cian Lally electrified Sligo\, who were three points ahead\, 2-20 to 0-23\, with 15 minutes left. \nBut Clare’s ability to pick off points – despite missing several goal chances – brought them level by the 66th minute\, 0-28 to 2-22. \nThere was still further drama and two more goal chances for Clare – Shane Griffin sent wide from close-range and Sean McAllister cracked a shot off the crossbar. \nJack Lavin’s 69th minute point – from an Alan McLoughlin pass – gave Sligo a one-point win. The importance of the result was emphasised when news filtered through that Limerick beat Fermanagh\, meaning that Sligo had needed every bit of the late surge. \nSligo: Aidan Devaney\, Evan Lyons\, Tommy Ross\, Luke Casserly\, Luke Towey (0-02)\, Darragh Cummins (0-01)\, Canice Mulligan\, Conor Sheridan\, Gavin Gorman\, Lee Deignan (0-03\, 1tp)\, Alan McLoughlin (0-05\, 1f)\, Shane Deignan (0-3)\, David Quinn\, Cian Lally (1-05)\, Niall Murphy (0-02\, 1f)\nSubs used: Jack Lavin (0-01) for Niall Murphy\, 44; Pat Spillane (0-01) for David Quinn\, 46; Kyle Cawley (1-00) for Shane Deignan\, 52; Daire O’Boyle for Canice Mulligan\, 66 (temporary) \nClare: Tristan O’Callaghan\, Alan Sweeney\, Ronan Lanigan\, Manus Doherty\, Brendy Rouine\, Connor Meaney\, Cormac Murray\, Fionn Kelleher (0-02\, 1tp)\, Cillian Brennan\, Daniel Walsh\, Shane Griffin (0-01)\, Josh Vaughan\, Mark McInerney (0-12\, 3f\, 1tpf\, 2tp)\, Eoin Cleary (0-05\, 1tp)\, Aaron Griffin (0-07\, 1f\, 1tp)\nSubs used: Michael Nash (0-01) for Connor Meaney\, 11; Jamie Stack for Cormac Murray\, 44; Gavin Murray for Daniel Walsh\, 47; Ikem Ugwueru for Fionn Kelleher\, 51; Sean McAllister for Brendy Rouine\, 56 \nReferee: Conor Dourneen (Cavan) \n\nTeam News \n\nClare have named their side for Round 7 of the #allianzleague and the trip to Sligo’s Markievics Park this Sunday . \nThrow in is at 2:00pm and match tickets are available at https://t.co/y2WDuhpTd8 and all participating Centra SuperValu stores. \nBest of luck lads 💪🟡🔵🟡… pic.twitter.com/Y3p4FSPt3D \n— Clare Gaa (@GaaClare) March 21\, 2026 \n \n\nJoint Managers Dessie Sloyan and Eamonn O'Hara Sloyan have named their team to face @GaaClare in Round 7 of the @AllianzIreland Football League Division 3 on Sunday afternoon. \nThe game throws in at 14:00 in Markievicz Park pic.twitter.com/r3RIc0e6fe \n— Sligo GAA (@sligogaa) March 20\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Limerick 2-15 Fermanagh 0-20
DESCRIPTION:Limerick defeated Fermanagh by 2-15 to 0-20 in Round 7 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday March 22nd at Mick Neville Park Rathkeale. \n\nLimerick relegated despite comeback victory over Fermanagh \nReport by Tom Clancy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nNational Football League Division 3: Limerick 2-15 (2-4-7) Fermanagh 0-20 (0-2-16) \nRory O’Brien’s stoppage time two pointer was enough for Limerick to come from eleven points down to take a second victory of the campaign. \nIt wasn’t\, however\, enough to keep Limerick in the third tier as Clare’s failed attempt to win in Sligo meant five points sends the Treaty back to the basement division. Had the Banner snatched a late winner\, it would have preserved Jimmy Lee’s men in this division. \nIt is a change of division for the sixth time in just seven seasons\, with three promotions and three relegations in that time. Injuries have played their part and when Limerick got their strongest available team on the pitch this Sunday afternoon\, they showed how good a side they can be. \nFor Fermanagh\, there are crumbs for them\, as they head down also. They were already certain to be dropping but Declan Bonner’s men showed a real amount of quality as they forged a match winning position\, only for the orange flag to hurt them in the second half. \nTwo goals\, one late in the first half\, from James Naughton\, the other from sub Tony McCarthy\, had a slice of fortune about them but they were major moves in turning the tide in this clash. \nA breeze straight down the pitch in Rathkeale helped propel the Ulster side to an eleven-point advantage\, 0-14 to 0-3 approaching half-time. However\, the mid-judgement from keeper Sean McNally saw Naughton’s effort drop into the top corner to bolster the Limerick hopes. \nPrior to that Oisín Kelm\, Conor McGee and Conor Love had propelled Fermanagh in front. Two quick-fire efforts from outside the arc from Darragh McGurn were also key but there was a sense that the conditions were a large reason why the Shannonsiders were trailing. \nNaughton (free) started the second half\, before Dany Neville arrowed over. \nThen\, Eliah Riordan\, the find of the league for Lee\, kicked five points. A tight angle for a white flag\, before two orange flags. One from the left\, one from the right to cut the gap to just two. Scoring that any forward would dream of. \nTony McCarthy’s green flag nine minutes from time saw him drill to home to level. Neville pushed Limerick ahead but back Ernesiders came back to level. \nTwo late points from Shane Cassidy looked to change the destination of the result only for Neville to fetch a loose ball\, feed O’Brien who curled over at the top of the arc. \nJoyous scenes at the whistle were short lived\, as news filtered through from Sligo. That victory for the Yeats County the difference between the sides when the final table was calculated. \nDivision Four to come\, but first a Munster meeting with Cork\, next month and than another assault on the Tailteann Cup. \nScorers for Limerick: J Naughton 1-2 (2f); E Riordan 0-5 (2x2pt); P Nash 0-3 (f\, 1x2pt); T McCarthy 1-0; R O’Brien 0-2 (1x2pt); D Neville 0-2; S Cross 0-1. \nScorers for Fermanagh: D McGurn (2 2pt)\, C Love (1f) 0-4 each; G Jones 0-3; C Corrigan\, S Cassidy (1f) 0-2 each; O Kelm\, R McCaffrey\, D McCusker\, S McNally (‘45)\, S McGullion 0-1 each. \nLIMERICK: J Alfred; S Kilbridge\, C McSweeney\, D Buckley; C Woulfe\, K Ryan\, M McCarthy; E O’Riordan\, B Coleman; P Maher\, D Neville\, C Fahy; S Cross\, J Naughton\, P Nash.\nSubs: R Childs for Cross (ht); T McCarthy for Woulfe (51 mins); R O’Brien for Fahy (58 mins); J McCarthy for Naughton (63 mins); \nFERMANAGH: S McNally; J Cassidy\, O Smyth\, L Flanagan; S McGullion\, R McCaffrey\, J Largo Elis; C McGee\, S McGullion; D McCusker\, D McGurn\, C Corrigan; C Love\, G Jones\, O Kelm.\nSubs: J Largo Elis for O Kelm (45 mins); S Cassidy for Garvan Jones (53 mins); A Kelm for Conor McGee (58 mins); C O’Brien for Conor Love (68 mins) \nREFEREE: James Molloy (Galway). \n\nTeam News \n\nJimmy Lee and his management team has announced their Limerick Senior Football team and match panel for their Round 7 League game v Fermanagh: \nLimerick Senior Football team and match panel to face Fermanagh this Sunday in Mick Neville Park\, Rathkeale at 2pm is as follows pic.twitter.com/mwr2nfLXaV \n— Limerick GAA (@LimerickCLG) March 21\, 2026
