SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1B - Clare 2-30 Antrim 1-19
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Antrim by 2-30 to 1-19 in Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B on Sunday February 1st at Ruairí Óg\, Cushendall. \n\n\nDominant Banner blitz Antrim for second league win https://t.co/EwC9AMK6mY \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 1\, 2026 \n \nDominant Banner blitz Antrim for second league win \nReport by Maghnus Dunne courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nNHL Division 1B: Antrim 1-19 Clare 2-30 \nClare enjoyed a huge victory in their second outing in the National Hurling League this season after a 14-point win over Antrim on Sunday afternoon. \nClare dominated the opening half as they led by nine points\, despite registering double digits for wide efforts. \nBoth sides exchanged scores when Mark Rodgers notched his first of eight first-half scores with a great effort from a dead ball\, but Seaan Elliot matched that with one of his own to level proceedings in the opening minutes. \nRodgers and Reidy showed a level above their opposition when the pair managed to strike consecutive points from play\, with Clare’s fourth point of the afternoon coming when the Scariff forward struck the ball perfectly from the far-left wing for a white flag. \nAntrim did respond when Sean McKay found his first score of the afternoon after he zipped an effort from the middle of the park before Elliot got a chance to draw his side closer with another free. \nMark Rodgers was truly a sight to behold in the opening half\, proving to be deadly for the Munster side from long range\, but the first goal of the afternoon looked to have put the nails in the coffin for Antrim. \nDavid Fitzgerald intercepted a ball and drove at the Saffron back line as he poised for the shot but showed quick hands to snap the ball into Shane Meehan\, who despite dropping the ball\, managed to recover and drill his effort home. \nClare were denied twice in heroic fashion by Cormac McFadden who had a stellar first start for Antrim in goal. \nJoe Maskey and Seaan Elliot found scores for Antrim as the half tailed\, but Mark Rodgers’ point saw the referee sound his whistle for the half. \nAntrim did show a lot more fight in the second period as Seaan Elliot’s free was sent over in response to Shane Meehan’s opening score of the second half. \nDespite that Clare looked the superior side and when David Fitzgerald found himself in exactly the same position as the first half\, this time he opted to shoot as he slapped down his effort beyond the Antrim net minder McFadden. \nAntrim did find the net when Conal Cunning managed to escape a tussle with the ball and his lightning quick pace saw him within 13-yards as he blasted the ball into the net. \nThe game would end with a terrific point-scoring finale from Tony Kelly\, as the Clare captain would find tight angled scores with ease. Mark Rodgers added three more frees to his side’s tally for a resounding victory. \nANTRIM: Cormac McFadden; Ruairi McCormick\, Eoin McFerran\, Paddy Burke; Stephen Rooney\, Sean McKay 0-1\, Joe Maskey 0-1; Ryan McCambridge 0-1\, Eoin O’Neill; Scott Walsh\, Paul Boyle\, Seán Duffin 0-1; Seaan Elliot 0-10 (0-10fs)\, James McNaughton\, Conal Cunning 1-1\nSubs: J McLaughlin on for S McKay (25’)\, J McCloskey (0-2) on for E O’Neill (51’)\, K McCann on for S Walsh (54’)\, C Johnston on for P Boyle (48’)\, K Molloy (0-2) on for R McCambridge (51’) \nCLARE: Eamonn Foudy; Dylan McMahon 0-1\, Conor Cleary\, Rory Hayes; Diarmuid Ryan 0-1\, John Conneally\, Cathal Malone; Darragh Lohan 0-1\, Ryan Taylor 0-3; Peter Duggan\, Tony Kelly 0-5\, David Fitzgerald 1-1; Shane Meehan 1-3\, David Reidy 0-1\, Mark Rodgers 0-12 (0-7fs)\nSubs: R Hayes on for J Conneally (35’) C Leen on for R Hayes (50’)\, J Kirwan on for D Reidy\, S Dunford 0-1 on for S Meehan (54’)\, S O’Donnell on for P Duggan 0-1 (57’) \n\nTeam News \n\nClare have named their side to face Antrim in Sunday’s #allianzleague NHL Round Two Clash at Ruairí Óg Cushendall . \nThrow in is at 1pm – and tickets for the game are available at https://t.co/IsNhnp5joc \n(*Reminder that no cash or card are accepted at the gates for National… pic.twitter.com/ofj874iY9t \n— Clare Gaa (@GaaClare) January 31\, 2026 \n \n\nThe Senior Hurling Antrim team for Sunday's clash v @GaaClare has been named. \nSupporters are reminded that tickets must be purchased in advance via https://t.co/pEUzSnyuDW \nInternal parking @RuairiOgCLG will close at 12.20pm & spectators asked to use Youth Club & Boat Club. pic.twitter.com/CnDIyHFMDa \n— Antrim GAA (@AontroimGAA) January 30\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Leitrim 1-16 Waterford 2-8
DESCRIPTION:Leitrim defeated Waterford by 1-16 to 2-8 in Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday February 1st at Heartland Credit Union Páirc Seán MacDiarmada. \n\nLeitrim hold off battling Waterford for hard-fought win \nReport by PJ Leddy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nLeitrim 1-16 Waterford 2-8 \nA battling Waterford side gave Leitrim something of a fright in Carrick-on-Shannon in a competitive clash and looked like that they might cause an upset after they got on level terms on the 50th minute mark. \nBut the home side led by Ryan O’Rourke held out for a hard-fought win over the 14-man visitors\, who had Cian Kiely dismissed on a second yellow near the end. \nWhile Leitrim were in command for most of the game\, Waterford pegged the home side right back before the break with goals in quick succession from Liam Mulligan and Caoimhín Walsh. \nLeitrim dominated in the first 25 five minutes when they hit five unanswered points. Ben Guckian whipped over two points for the home side while Ryan O’Rourke\, Jack Kelly and Fergal McLoughlin added a point each. \nWaterford\, who were aided by the breeze found it difficult to settle into the game\, opened their account when Conor Murray fired over a 25th-minute point. Murray added another for the visitors shortly afterwards. \nGuckian hit back with a Leitrim goal on the 27-minute mark before Waterford finished the half with a flourish\, Mulligan and Colin Foley finding the Leitrim net close to the break. At the interval they led 1-9 to Waterford’s 2-3. \nLeitrim went further ahead in the opening minute of the second half when Oisin McLoughlin fired over a well taken point. Waterford hit with a Dermot Ryan two-pointer and then a single point which reduced Leitrim’s lead to the minimum. \nWaterford rallied to get level terms by the 50th minute with points from Stephen Curry and Donal Fitzgerald\, but they failed to score after that. \nFour minutes after that Ryan O’Rourke edged Leitrim ahead when he split the Waterford uprights. Leitrim then closed out the game with two Ryan O’ Rourke points while Jack Kelly and Fergal McLoughlin added a point apiece. \nMatters got a little heated in the closing minutes of the action when started to play a number of minutes of possession football in the middle of the field. Referee Aidan Mark Loughran took disciplinary action near the end when he dismissed Waterford’s Cian Kiely on second yellow while he also issued a yellow to Michael Curry. \nScorers for Leitrim – J Kelly 0 – 6 2p; B Guckian 1 – 2 2f; Ryan O’Rourke 0 – 4; F McLoughlin 0 – 2; Oisin McLoughlin & Riordan O’Rourke 0 – 1 each. \nScorers for Waterford – L Mulligan & C Foley 1 – 0 each; D Ryan 0 – 3 2p; C Murray 0 – 2\, C Walsh\, S Curry & D Fitzgearld 0 – 1 (each). \nLeitrim: D O’Shea; E McLoughlin\, K Clancy\, S Harkin; J Rooney\, M Diffley\, E McNamara; C Quinn\, K Keegan; F McLoughlin\, Riordan O’Rourke\, M McKiernan; B Guckian\, Ryan O’Rourke\, J Kelly.\nSubs: D Feely for Diffley (17); O McLoughlin for McNamara (30); G Reynolds for Harkin (HT); Colm McLoughlin for McKiernan (48); C Reynolds for Quinn (55). \nWaterford: P Hunt; G Power\, D Ó’Cathasaigh\, B Hynes; D Fitzgerald\, A Crawford\, C Ó’Cuirín; M Curry\, C Walsh; C Foley\, A Ryan\, L Mulligan; C Murray\, S Curry\, D Walsh.\nSubs: D Ryan for D Walsh (HT); M O’Brien for S Curry (50); C Kiely for Hynes (67): C Fennell for Ó’Cuirín (72). \nReferee: M Loughran (Tyrone). \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐 Allianz Football League – Division 4 – Rd 2 – Team Announcement \nLeitrim🆚Waterford📅 Sunday\, February 1📍 Páirc Seán MacDiarmada\, Carrick-on-Shannon🕐 1:00pm🎟️ Tickets: https://t.co/XrJc0M0rHo \nNote: ‘Advance ticket sales ONLY at https://t.co/Jf2bs0JmIq or selected Centra… pic.twitter.com/IitXWOhhjT \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) January 30\, 2026 \n \n\n📣 Leitrim Football Team Announced 📣 \nThe Leitrim Senior Football panel has been named by manager Steven Poacher for round 2 of the Allianz National Football League.Best of luck to the team\, Steven & his management team.#Allianz NFL – Div 4 – Rd 2 \n🏐 | Leitrim 🆚Waterford… pic.twitter.com/K0VkXeMy0C \n— Leitrim GAA (@LeitrimGAA) January 30\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 2 - Cork 1-17 Louth 1-12
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Louth by 1-17 to 1-12 in Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 on Sunday February 1st at Integral GAA Grounds\, Drogheda. \n\n\nCork pass Louth test to ensure strong start to league campaign continues https://t.co/wAsxEsHLBO \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 1\, 2026 \n \nCork pass Louth test to ensure strong start to league campaign continues \nReport by Barry O’Mahony courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAFL Division 2: Louth 1-12 (1-1-10) Cork 1-17 (1-2-13) \nA massive win in so many ways for Cork after seeing off the challenge of Louth in the Allianz Division 2 Football League clash at Integral GAA Grounds in Drogheda on Sunday afternoon. \nIt’s now four points from the first two games for John Cleary’s side\, something that the Rebels have now achieved in the top two divisions for the first time since 2015. \nAfter losing on their last two visits to Louth in 2023 and ’24 under Cleary’s tutelage where lapses in concentration proved costly\, this was a well-rounded team performance from Cork where they dug in and also showed quality. \nCork were impressive for the majority most notably towards the end of the opening half when a pair of two-pointers helped the Leesiders to an eight-point lead at the short whistle. \nThey were brave and confident and kept their opposition at arm’s length. \nWides for Louth did hurt them\, but they can have no complaints on a day when they relied too much on their marksman Sam Mulroy. \nThere were three changes to the Cork team that was announced on Friday night with Matty Taylor replacing Rory Maguire and Steven Sherlock coming in for Ruairí Deane. \nThe reigning Leinster winners hit the first point from a difficult free through Mulroy. It was a nervy start from Cork with a wide and one dropped short. \nPatient play resulted in Luke Fahy drawing the Rebels level after six minutes. The sides traded frees before an eye-catching Tommy Walsh effort nudged Cork ahead in what was a physical and even opening. \nPatrick Doyle’s kick-outs and Colm O’Callaghan’s aerial ability in midfield gave Cork a foothold as Chris Óg Jones gave Cleary’s side a two-point buffer. \nThe Munster outfit remained two points to the good after 19 minutes until Mulroy had a great opportunity for a Louth goal\, but his effort went narrowly wide. \nA minute later\, Brian Hurley set up Jones who made no mistake to finish to the net as the Rebels opened up a five-point advantage\, 1-5 to 0-3. \nCraig Lennon and Mulroy did point for Louth\, but they had registered seven wides up to this juncture. \nA Cronin effort was a settler for Cork. It was followed by a Brian Hurley two-pointer as his team led 1-8 to 0-5 with four minutes to the break. \nA second successive orange flag\, this time from a Sherlock free\, was a huge score from a difficult angle\, 1-10 to 0-5 at half-time. \nCiarán Downey did get Louth up and running with a point before it was cancelled out by a Sherlock free. \nThe home team did start better than what they produced in the opening 35 minutes. They did land two of the next three white flags as they trailed 1-12 to 0-8 after 45 minutes. \nA Mulroy 45 did cut the deficit down to six points for Louth followed by an effort by sub Tadhg McDonnell. \nSeán McDonnell kicked over a vital point for Cork to stem the Louth tide until Sherlock slotted over a 45\, 1-14 to 0-10 after 53 minutes. \nCork managed the game well for the next while\, a Sherlock free gave the Rebels breathing space with nine minutes to go. \nScores were at a premium in the closing stages\, which suited Cork down to the ground. \nThat man Sherlock got another free before Ciarán Downey kicked over a two-pointer for Louth. \nIt didn’t matter really. The St Finbarr’s star bisected the posts to secure the win. \nLouth did get a consolation goal right at the end when Dermot Campbell’s long delivery evaded everyone. \nScorers for Louth: S Mulroy 0-6 (0-3 f\, 0-1 45)\, C Downey 0-3 (1 2pt)\, D Campbell 1-0\, T McDonnell\, C Lennon\, C Grimes 0-1 each. \nScorer for Cork: S Sherlock 0-8 (1 2pt f\, 0-4 f\, 0-1 45)\, C Óg Jones 1-1\, B Hurley (1 2pt)\, S McDonnell\, M Cronin 0-2 each\, T Walsh\, L Fahy 0-1 each. \nLOUTH: T Markey; P Tinnelly\, D Campbell\, D McKenny; E Callaghan\, P Lynch\, C Lennon; D McDonnell\, C Early; P Mathews\, S Mulroy (c)\, C Grimes; C Keenan\, C Downey\, R Burns.\nSubs: T McDonnell for E Callaghan (h-t)\, S Callaghan for P Mathews (45)\, D Nally for C Grimes (54)\, C McCaul for C Keenan (58)\, S Renolds for C Early (63). \nCORK: P Doyle; M Shanley\, D O’Mahony (c)\, T Walsh; M Taylor\, B O’Driscoll\, L Fahy; C O’Callaghan\, S Walsh; P Walsh\, S McDonnell\, M Cronin; S Sherlock\, B Hurley\, C Óg Jones.\nSubs: R Maguire for M Taylor (46)\, I Maguire for S Walsh (48\, blood)\, R Deane for P Walsh (53)\, D Sheedy for M Cronin (58)\, C Daly for B Hurley (68)\, J O’Driscoll for B O’Driscoll (70). \nReferee: Anthony Nolan (Wicklow). \n\nTeam News \n\n📣 Team Announcement! The Cork footballers to take on Louth this Sunday in Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 has been named. \nCheck it out here https://t.co/ZM83xkH6qL pic.twitter.com/SviI0Q2QNB \n— Cork GAA (@OfficialCorkGAA) January 30\, 2026 \n \nCORK (AFL v Louth): P Doyle; M Shanley\, D O’Mahony\, T Walsh; B O’Driscoll\, R Maguire\, L Fahy; C O’Callaghan\, S Walsh; P Walsh\, S McDonnell\, R Deane; M Cronin\, B Hurley\, C Óg Jones.\nSubs: M A Martin\, J O’Driscoll\, S Meehan\, M Taylor\, I Maguire\, D Sheedy\, D Buckley\, C Cahalane\, S Sherlock\, C Daly\, C O’Mahony. \n\nGavin Devlin has named his 26 Man squad for Sunday's Allianz League Division 2 Round 2 clash with Cork at Integral GAA Grounds in Drogheda at 1:30pm.@statsports / @PPFS_ / @SportsDirectUK / @OfficialBSM_1 pic.twitter.com/AxU9w5Bzvr \n— Louth GAA (@louthgaa) January 30\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 1 - Donegal 1-22 Kerry 1-18

That was obvious at the finish. The final minute saw Kerry desperately search for an equalising goal as the home side tried to not panic. A Michael Murphy point finally settled them and the game. \nDonagh O’Sullivan’s late goal made it a one-score tie. It was a play that epitomised the glorious carnage Gaelic football has become. Sean O’Shea floated in a long ball. Gavin Mulreany missed it. Joe O’Connor accidentally cleared it off the line. The ball was floated into the square again\, Darragh Lyne broke it down and O’Sullivan slotted in. Subsequent goal efforts were unsuccessful and Donegal finished with a sweeping counter-attack move to tee up a well-received Murphy point. \nThe All-Ireland champions arrived at a sold-out Fr Tierney Park in Ballyshannon in search of Jack O’Connor’s first ever win in Donegal. Five of the Kerry team that started in last July’s final took their place for the throw-in\, with Killian Spillane coming in for David Clifford late on. On the other side\, Donegal had ten players who started in that tie. \nBoil the first half down and it was a battle of centre-forwards\, Sean O’Shea and Shane O’Donnell. O’Shea finished with 0-11\, including four two-point frees. His placed ball kicking was awesome. He also claimed an offensive mark when he moved to the edge of the square. \nDonegal led 1-9 to 0-8 at the break after a storming finish. A scuffed Daire Ó Baoill shot led to a goal chance for Shea Malone. Eventually Finnbarr Roarty forced a 45. Gavin Mulreany came forward to drill the kick and from there\, Donegal squeezed. \nThey stole five Kerry kickouts in a row. Malone won a break and was very nearly punished for failing to lift his head with a free man wide open inside. It was Shane O’Donnell who demanded the ball and found Daire Ó Baoill. The jolt energised them right until the sound of the hooter as they hit 1-3 without reply. \nKeeping Kerry in the game was O’Shea. He had help from Tony Brosnan as well. O’Shea swung over a beautiful two-point free at the start\, he won a free for Brosnan soon after and set him up for another score from outside the arc on the 17 minute mark. That was the Kingdom’s first score from play. \nWith the wind at their backs\, Donegal invested heavily in two-pointers. Michael Langan landed one from the throw-in and a second minutes later. Hugh McFadden curled over a rasper. \nOne of the moments of the match came when Shane O’Donnell pressed O’Shea deep in the Kerry half. He hounded him until David Coldrick had no chance but to call steps. That offered Murphy a tapover free and quelled the Kingdom’s first fight back. \nDonegal did well to hold off the second before the final bell. Expect another in the not too distant future. \nScorers for Donegal: D. Ó Baoill 1-2; M. Langan 0-4 (2tp); C. O’Donnell (f)\, F. Roarty 0-3 each; H. McFadden (tp)\, P. Mogan\, M. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 - Kerry 2-11 Westmeath 0-17
DESCRIPTION:Kerry drew with Westmeath on a scoreline of 2-11 to 0-17 in Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 on Sunday February 1st at Austin Stack Park Tralee. \n\n14-man Kerry denied at the death as Westmeath claim point \nReport by Murt Murphy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz HL Division 2A: Kerry 2-11 Westmeath 0-17 \nA last-gasp point from midfielder Eamon Cunneen broke Kerry hearts as Westmeath snatched a share of the spoils from the jaws of defeat at the Austin Stack Park. \nThough Kerry played with 14 for more than half the game\, they led by six with 20 minutes to go and by four with eight minutes left on the clock. But Westmeath hung in there and Killian Doyle had two points in added time to close the gap. \nReferee Ciaran O’Regan then held up the play to brandish a red card to Darragh McCormack. But as Kerry were shouting for the whistle\, Cunneen collected a loose ball and fired over the equaliser that saw the game in a draw. \nWestmeath celebrated as if they had won\, but it was a tough pill for manager Tweek Griffin and Kerry to swallow. But they were partially architects of their own downfall as they wasted 18 scoring chances. \nWestmeath never threatened to score a goal and were reliant on Killian Doyle and David Williams who contributed 0-13 between them. \nKerry began as if they meant business but a failure to convert their chances into scores was a major drawback. \nKerry did score two goals in the opening half but a turning point came when Ronan Walsh was issued with a second yellow card in the 28th minute\, meaning it was going to be difficult to match Westmeath in the second half. \nEarly points from Eamonn Cunneen\, Killian Doyle and Peter Clarke saw Westmeath lead 0-3 to 0-0 after 15 minutes. But Kerry had wasted numerous chances\, including three frees from Ronan Walsh\, with one coming back off the post. \nKerry eventually got going in the 16th minute when Tom Doyle finished to the Westmeath net after a long James O’Connor delivery was knocked into his path by Michael Slattery. \nKevin Goulding and Micheal Leane added points but Ronan Walsh added a free before he struck for a goal after a poor Westmeath puckout. Two minutes later Walsh was dismissed and Kerry folk feared the worst though the home side led by 2-5 to 0-7. \nKerry upped their game with their fullback line of Kyle O’Connor\, Sean McGrath and Eric Leen impregnable and with Oisin Maunsell taking over the free taking; he added three points. Kerry led 2-8 to 0-8 by the 50th minute. \nBut as Kerry tired\, David Williams was deadly accurate from frees and 65s to bring Westmeath back into it. \nKerry face London at home on Saturday next and if they improve their finishing\, they will be still be in with a chance of a reaching the league final. \nScorers for Kerry: O Maunsell (0-7\, 5fs\, 1’65)\, R Walsh (1-1)\, T Doyle (1-0)\, M Slattery (0-2)\, M Leane (0-1) \nScorers for Westmeath: K Doyle (0-7\, 4fs)\, D Williams (0-6\, 2’fs\, 2’65’s)\, E Cunneen (0-2\, 1s/l)\, J Bermingham and P Clarke (0-1each) \nKERRY: C Bohane; K O’Connor\, S McGrath\, E Leen; J O’Connor\, J Diggins\, M Leane; A Segal\, K Goulding; T Doyle\, R Walsh\, J Brick; O Maunsell\, D Casey\, M Slattery.\nSubs: G Dooley for J Brick (54)\, I Conway for D Casey (58)\, H Lenihan for a Segal (64)\, N O’Mahony for K Goulding (73) \nWESTMEATH: S Jackson; S Williams\, C Shaw\, C McKeogh; M Cunningham\, J Bermingham\, R Keyes; K Doyle\, E Cunneen; D Williams\, K Regan\, J Coll; E Keyes\, D McCormack\, P Clarke.\nSubs: J Fry for J Coll (h/t)\, A Shaw for K Regan (45)\, J Gillen for J Bermingham (65) \nReferee: C O’Regan (Cork) \n\nTeam News \n\nTEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Hurling League Div 2 \nKerry play Westmeath at 2pm on Sunday in Austin Stack Park \nFor full team news: https://t.co/bLAsNgP0cu#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/6N3P43diyb \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) January 30\, 2026

DESCRIPTION:Waterford defeated Limerick by 1-21 to 0-20 in Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Sunday February 1st at Azzurri Walsh Park\, Waterford. \n\n\nREPORT: @WaterfordGAA played some great hurling to post a morale-boosting victory over @LimerickCLG in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League today. #AllianzLeagues #GAABelong https://t.co/4YYjFqbOg8 \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 1\, 2026 \n \nAllianz HL D1A: Waterford make statement against Limerick \nWaterford 1-21 Limerick 0-20 \nReport By Dermot Keyes for GAA.ie \nWaterford did so much more than restore pride on home soil when deservedly seeing off a Limerick side featuring 10 All Stars and three Hurlers of the Year. \nTwo magnificent second half frees from goalkeeper Billy Nolan\, along with the accuracy of free taker Ruben Halloran and outstanding performances from Máirtín Power\, Jamie Barron and Shane Bennett proved decisive during a lively end-to-end tussle. \nIn pleasant sunshine\, Waterford led by 0-10 to 0-9 at the interval and were good value for that advantage. \nReuben Halloran\, warming to the Déise’s free-taking task\, opened the scoring inside the opening minute\, with Cian Lynch mustering an immediate response from Limerick’s next attack. \nThe hosts\, producing an improved level of physicality than what they’d delivered at Páirc Uí Chaoimh\, edged ahead thanks to Brian Lynch’s third minute point following a fine assist by Calum Lyons. \nTwo minutes later\, the ever-dependable Diarmaid Byrnes\, shooting into the breeze\, converted a fine free\, with Halloran replying via his second dead ball in the seventh minute. \nHalloran (another free) and the lively Shane O’Brien traded white flaggers in the 11th and 12th minutes before Donnacha Ó Dálaigh sent the Shannonsiders ahead following fine support play by Cian Lynch. \nHalloran and Aidan O’Connor exchanged further points in the 15th and 16th minutes before the De La Salle marksman restored Waterford’s lead from 45 metres as the game ticked into its 20th minute. \nMoments later\, senior newcomer Charlie Treen latched onto the breaking ball and impressively found his range while Limerick were left rueing Shane O’Brien’s short-range effort which zipped wide of Billy Nolan’s right hand upright. \nShane Bennett atoned for a 20th minute miss with a superb point from distance just four minutes later following an incisive Billy Nolan pass. \nLimerick inched ahead thanks to points from Byrnes and O’Brien in the 28th and 34th minutes but it was Waterford who finished the half the stronger thanks to a brace of Halloran frees. \nWaterford goaled in the 45th minute through a Shane Bennett penalty – his second in as many weeks – after Reuben Halloran was impeded by Matthew Fitzgerald\, who was black carded for his challenge. \nWith the surface getting stickier\, Waterford dug deep in the face of a Diarmaid Byrnes-inspired resurgence during which Limerick outscoring the Déise by 0-5 to 0-1 between the 54th and 65th minutes. \nFrom under the lip of the covered stand\, Shane Bennett landed a morale boosting point in the 68th minute\, with Halloran converting his 10th point of the afternoon 90 seconds later. \nWhile Gearóid Hegarty bisected the city end uprights in the 70th minute\, it was Waterford\, through Reuben Halloran and Billy Nolan\, who impressively sealed victory with stoppage time points. \nWaterford scorers: Reuben Halloran 0-11 (0-10f\, 0-01 65)\, Shane Bennett 1-02 (1-0 pen)\, Charlie Treen 0-03\, Billy Nolan 0-02f\, Calum Lyons 0-01\, Jamie Barron 0-01\, Brian Lynch 0-01. \nLimerick scorers: Aidan O’Connor 0-08 (0-07f)\, Shane O’Brien 0-04\, Diarmaid Byrnes 0-03 (0-02f)\, Gearoid Hegarty 0-03\, Cian Lynch 0-01\, Donnacha Ó Dálaigh 0-1. \nWaterford: Billy Nolan; SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1A - Tipperary 5-24 Offaly 1-18
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Offaly by 5-24 to 1-18 in Round 2 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A on Sunday February 1st at Glenisk O’Connor Park Tullamore. \n\nAllianz HL D1A: Tipperary impress against Offaly \nTIPPERARY 5-24 OFFALY 1-18 \nReport By Kevin Egan at Glenisk O’Connor Park for GAA.ie \n3-10 from Jason Forde and a Herculean performance from Bryan O’Mara at full-back were among the highlights for Tipperary in what proved to be a comfortable win over Offaly in Tullamore this afternoon\, pushing them alongside Cork to the top of the Allianz League Division 1A table. \nLiam Cahill’s charges were controlled and precise in the first half\, allowing them to cruise through the second while adding three goals\, including the second and third instalments of Forde’s hat-trick. \nIncluded in the four changes to the starting Offaly team was the withdrawal of Adam Screeney and Daniel Bourke\, with Johnny Kelly deploying Ciarán Cleary and Brian Duignan in the full forward line to give a meaningful physical threat in that sector. \nTo an extent that worked\, with Eoghan Cahill\, Brecon Kavanagh and Ben Conneely foraging and tackling well in the middle third to keep Offaly competitive for the opening 20 minutes. \nHowever while Tipperary are still some way off championship fitness\, their hurling was incredibly crisp and accurate and more than any other single factor\, that allowed them to build up a five-point half-time advantage. At no point did they over-run or overpower Offaly\, but in a game where errors led to big scores\, Tipp made precious few. \nAfter a competitive start when the first four points were shared equally\, this was in evidence as Offaly were turned over and ruthlessly\, clinically\, Andrew Ormond and Josh Keller combined to set up Paddy McCormack for a superb low finish. \nTipp briefly moved five points clear before a route one clearance broke off Cleary and fell perfectly for Duignan to beat Barry Hogan for close range\, and even after Tipp hit three of the next four points\, Offaly kept in the game. \nAnother turnover was to prove fatal to whatever lingering hopes Offaly might have had however. Ben Miller looked to have completed a good turnover win but then ran into trouble and was dispossessed\, setting Andrew Ormond through on goal. \nMiller pulled Ormond down\, drawing a black card and a penalty\, duly rifled to the top corner by Jason Forde. \nLiam Hoare and Cathal King pointed to reduce the gap to five by half-time but with the breeze set to favour Tipperary after half-time\, that was never likely to be reeled in and without ever having to engage their higher gears\, Tipperary quickly moved out of sight. \nAfter hitting three wides to start the second half – contrasting starkly with just one in the opening 35 minutes – John McGrath’s goal opened the second half scoring\, and an Offaly reply was never likely with O’Mara marshalling his square with incredible authority. \nIn what proved to be a quite lifeless spell of hurling\, Darragh Stakelum\, Conor Stakelum and Jack Leamy all picked off nice points but the engine of Tipp’s scoring display was Forde\, who was precise from dead balls as well as firing in two late goals to add to Tipperary’s scoring difference. \nScorers for Offaly: Brian Duignan 1-2\, Eoghan Cahill 0-4 (0-2f)\, Daniel Bourke 0-3\, Oisín Kelly 0-2\, Liam Hoare 0-2f\, Dan Ravenhill 0-1\, Cathal King 0-1\, Luke Watkins 0-1\, Adam Screeney 0-1f\, Ben Conneely 0-1. \nScorers for Tipperary: Jason Forde 3-10 (1-0 pen\, 0-5f\, 0-2 65s)\, John McGrath 1-1\, Paddy McCormack 1-0\, Conor Stakelum 0-3\, Jack Leamy 0-3\, Josh Keller 0-2\, Darragh Satkelum 0-2\, Conor Martin 0-1\, Gearóid O’Connor 0-1\, Noel McGrath 0-1 \nOFFALY: Liam Hoare; Ruairi Kelly\, Ben Miller\, Patrick Taaffe; Dan Ravenhill\, Ben Conneely\, Brecon Kavanagh; Luke Watkins\, Colin Spain; Ross Ravenhill\, Eoghan Cahill\, Conor Doyle; Oisín Kelly\, Ciarán Cleary\, Brian Duignan.\nSubs: Cathal King for Watkins (31)\, Daniel Bourke for R Ravenhill (half-time)\, Ter Guinan for Doyle (half-time)\, Adam Screeney for Kelly (43)\, Sam Bourke for Conneely (61 to FT\, temp)\, Daniel Hand for Spain (62) \nTIPPERARY: Barry Hogan; Cathal O’Reilly\, Bryan O’Mara\, Johnny Ryan; Conor Martin\, Craig Morgan\, Seamus Kennedy; Willie Connors\, Conor Stakelum; Josh Keller\, Andrew Ormond\, Gearóid O’Connor; Jack Leamy\, Paddy McCormack\, Jason Forde.\nSubs: John McGrath for McCormack (half-time)\, Darragh Stakelum for Keller (half-time)\, Noel McGrath for Ormond (46)\, Adam Daly for Morgan (51)\, Cathal English for C Stakelum (61). \nReferee: Colm McDonald (Antrim). \n\nTeam News \n\nLiam Cahill and his management team have made eight personnel changes to the starting 15 for this weekend’s game against Offaly. \nSunday 1st February 2026Allianz Hurling League Division 1A Round 2Tipperary v Offalyin Glenisk O’Connor Park\, Tullamore @ 2.00 pm pic.twitter.com/TLxf33c095 \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) January 30\, 2026 \n \nTIPPERARY (AHL v Offaly): B Hogan; C O’Reilly\, B O’Mara\, J Ryan; C Martin\, C Morgan\, S Kennedy; W Connors\, C Stakelum; J Keller\, A Ormond\, G O’Connor; J Leamy\, P McCormack\, J Forde.\nSubs: R Shelly\, A Daly\, C English\, S Kenneally\, K McCarthy\, P McGarry\, J McGrath\, N McGrath\, K Ryan\, D Stakelum\, S Tobin.

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Tipperary 1-13 Antrim 1-9
DESCRIPTION:Tipperary defeated Antrim by 1-13 to 1-9 in Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday February 1st at Saint Flannan’s Park\, Moneygall. \n\nBattling Tipp make themselves at home in Moneygall \nReport by Stephen Barry courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz FL Division 4: Tipperary 1-13 (1-0-13) Antrim 1-9 (1-2-5) \nNorth Tipperary proved a happy hunting ground for the county footballers as Daithí Hogan’s goal and a late string of points maintained their unbeaten start to Division 4 at Moneygall. \nTheir opponents\, Antrim\, had been touted as pre-season promotion contenders\, but having lost to Carlow last week\, their discipline cost them dearly to finish with 13 men. \nWith Semple Stadium deemed unplayable on Friday following heavy rain\, St Flannan’s Park\, perched right on the Tipp-Offaly border\, stepped in to host its first-ever inter-county football match. \n“I’d like to thank the Moneygall club\, and in particular (Semple Stadium groundsman and Moneygall native) Padhraic Greene\, just to make sure that the fixture went ahead\,” said Tipp manager Niall Fitzgerald. \n“We were struggling to get a pitch available\, so it’s much appreciated\, and North Tipp has been a happy hunting ground today for us. \n“There’s going to be ups and downs this year and over the next couple of years\, because of that bit of inexperience\, but once they’re bringing that level of character\, we’ll be in the hunt.” \nDominic McEnhill was a late addition to the Antrim team and he accounted for 0-5 from play\, including the game’s only two-pointers in the eighth and 24th minutes. However\, the Saffrons only got off six shots with the wind as Tipp bossed possession with a series of slow attacks in heavy underfoot conditions. \nHogan (1-3) and Seán O’Connor (0-7\, 5 frees) were their two scorers from play across the afternoon. Both hit the target early on\, but they were Tipp’s only points from their first nine attempts. \nAntrim led 0-5 to 0-4 when the game turned on John Carron’s red card. Linesman Conor Lane spoke with referee Ian Monaghan\, who indicated a strike with the elbow on Paudie Feehan. A Cian Smith free levelled at 0-5 apiece at the break. \nTurning to take the wind advantage as well as the extra man\, Tipp looked well positioned. Conhuir Johnston slalomed through to give Antrim one last lead before a quick-passing exchange by O’Connor and Micheál Freaney created the opening for St Patrick’s prospect Hogan to blast home. \nPat Shivers and McEnhill brought it back to a one-point game\, but Tipp kicked the next three through a Hogan mark and frees from O’Connor and Smith. \nAntrim were right back in the mix after 54 minutes. McEnhill’s shot dropped short and pinballed for Paddy McAleer to slide to the net; 1-9 to 1-8. \nFreaney almost profited from a similar situation at the other end\, but John McNabb and Eoghan McCabe scrambled off the line. \nMidfielder McAleer had another chance in the 63rd minute\, only for his shot to be blocked. A Shivers free cut the gap to one\, but Mark Russell’s high fielding\, Hogan’s composure\, and three late points from O’Connor wrestled control back in Tipp’s direction. In between\, Shivers received a second booking in stoppage time. \n“Our discipline let us down massively\,” said Antrim manager Mark Doran. “That’s probably promotion gone. We’ve lost two games. Our big focus now in the group is trying to get a win for momentum.” \nScorers for Tipperary: S O’Connor (0-7\, 5 frees); D Hogan (1-3\, 0-1 mark); C Smith (0-3\, 3 frees). \nScorers for Antrim: D McEnhill (0-5\, 2tp); P McAleer (1-0); P Shivers (0-2\, 2 frees); N Burns\, C Johnston (0-1 each). \nTIPPERARY: S Garland; J Harney\, J Morris\, E O’Connell; C King\, P Feehan\, L Boland; J Higgins\, K Costello; M Stokes\, S O’Brien\, M Freaney; C Smith\, S O’Connor\, D Hogan.\nSubs: M Russell for Higgins (58)\, K Butler for King (58)\, C Deely for O’Brien (58)\, P O’Keeffe for Smith (63)\, J O’Neill for Stokes (68). \nANTRIM: J McNabb; J McAuley\, J Finnegan\, K Keenan; E Walsh\, E McCabe\, M Jordan; P McAleer\, J Carron; R Quinn\, O Doherty\, N Burns; P Shivers\, C Johnston\, D McEnhill.\nSubs: C Hynds for Burns (42)\, P McBride for Quinn (49)\, R McQuillan for Doherty (61)\, C Hand for Keenan (69). \nRed cards: J Carron (33)\, P Shivers (70+2). \nReferee: I Monaghan (Roscommon). \n\nTeam News \n\nNiall Fitzgerald has named an unchanged 1-26 for his side’s first home game of the league campaign against Antrim. \nSunday 1st February 2026Allianz Football League Division 4 Round 2Tipperary v Antrimin FBD Semple Stadium @ 2.00 pmReferee: Ian Monaghan (Roscommon) pic.twitter.com/2FIPBmLoMo \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) January 30\, 2026 \n \nTIPPERARY (AFL v Antrim): S Garland\, J Harney; J Morris\, E O’Connell; C King\, P Feehan\, L Boland; J Higgins\, K Costello; E Craddock\, S O’Connor\, M Stokes; C Smith\, C Deeley\, D Hogan.\nSubs: R McGrath\, M Barlow\, K Butler\, M Corcoran\, M Freaney\, M McFadden\, E Moloney\, S O’Brien\, J O’Neill\, P O’Keeffe\, M Russell. \n\nTEAM NEWS \nThe Antrim team to face @TipperaryGAA in Moneygall has been named. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Westmeath 2-19 Clare 1-17
DESCRIPTION:Westmeath defeated Clare by 2-19 to 1-17 in Round 2 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday February 1st at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg\, Ennis. \n\nClare looking over their shoulder as Fermanagh looms \nReport by Eoin Brennan courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAFL Division 3: Westmeath 2-19 Clare 1-17 \nA battle of the debutantes saw the pendulum eventually swing Mark McHugh’s way as his Westmeath side gatecrashed Paul Madden’s National League bow as Clare manager in Ennis. \nZimmer Biomet Páirc Chiosóg only welcomed 1\,389 souls but those that came would be thoroughly entertained by the highest scoring Division 3 tie of the weekend. \n“I’m very happy with that result\,” said new Westmeath boss McHugh. “There are certain grounds around the country that are extremely difficult to get a win out of and this is one of them. Clare have had some serious results out of here and being my first time involved with a team in Ennis\, it’s a fantastic ground but also a dangerous place to come so to come away with the two points is fantastic.” \nLocked at 0-4 apiece by the 26th minute\, it didn’t initially appear to be Westmeath’s day with the wind at their backs\, but they would make up for lost ground with a clinical finish to the half. A five-point burst\, highlighted by Sam McCartan’s second two-pointer would be accentuated by a last gasp Ronan Wallace rebound goal to soar 1-10 to 0-05 in front of their hosts by the break. \nMcHugh’s side would actually move nine clear on the resumption before the Banner picked themselves off the canvas. Clare produced a rousing recovery with two-pointers for Aaron Griffin\, Mark McInerney\, and Eoin Cleary allied to a 42nd-minute goal for corner-back Alan Sweeney to slash the arrears to just two by the three-quarters mark. \nHowever\, having seemingly tuned a major corner\, Clare would skilfully reverse back around it again as they failed to maintain that momentum according to Madden. \n“Overall we were poor and we didn’t play anything like we can and I think mainly a lot of the issues came from bad decision-making and poor turnovers and in the modern game if you turn over the ball\, you’re in big trouble\,” he said. \n“We actually went from being nine points down to getting it back to two\, but then did some silly things with the ball and let them [Westmeath] take back control.” \nA score of 1-3 without reply from the visitors\, including a clinching 62nd-minute goal through substitute Brian Cooney’s rebound from a Sam McCartan point attempt that came back off the upright\, re-established Westmeath’s grip on proceedings and allowed McHugh’s side to be able to withstand anything that a relentless Banner could throw at them for the remainder. \n“We’ve four points on the board now and more than that\, we’ve now five wins from five in 2026\, which is the big thing for us after winning the O’Byrne Cup\,” McHugh said. “We spoke to the boys earlier about making winning a habit so hopefully we’ve learned now how to win games so it’s a great start for us.” \nWestmeath join Down and Wexford in the early promotion race but it’s the opposite for Madden’s Clare of their early basement battle away to Fermanagh in a fortnight’s time. \n“We’re in the position we’re in now so it’s a different type of a battle and we just have to start getting points on the board\,” Madden said. \n“No matter what happens from here on in\, the only ones that can get us out of it are ourselves.” \nScorers for Westmeath: S McCartan 0-5 (2tp); R Wallace 1-2; L Loughlin 0-3 (1f); B Cooney 1-0; K O’Sullivan\, M Whittaker\, R Connellan\, TJ Cox 0-2 each; R Forde 0-1. \nScorers for Clare: A Griffin 0-7 (2tp\, 1f); E Cleary (1tp)\, M McInerney (1tp\, 1f) 0-3 each; A Sweeney 1-0; B McNamara 0-2; C Murray\, J Stack 0-1 each \nWESTMEATH: J Connaughton; D Scahill\, C Drumm\, B Sayeh; B Guerin\, T Baker\, R Wallace; J Lynam\, R Connellan; M Whittaker\, S McCartan\, K O’Sullivan; S Baker\, L Loughlin\, D McCartan.\nSubs: TJ Cox for Guerin (29)\, B Cooney for S. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 - Kerry 5-21 London 1-21
DESCRIPTION:Kerry defeated London by 5-21 to 1-21 in Round 3 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 2 on Saturday February 7th at Austin Stack Park Tralee. \n\nFive-goal Kerry stroll to victory over London \nReport by Murt Murphy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAHL Division 2: Kerry 5-21 London 1-21 \nKerry strolled to a comprehensive victory over visitors London and remain unbeaten in Division 2 of the National Hurling League following Saturday’s game at Austin Stack Park. \nJohn Griffin’s side are now on top of the table\, as the other two games in the division are not being played until Sunday\, so Kerry are sitting pretty on five points from a possible six after three rounds. \nBut while Kerry were double digit winners over a London side who drew with Mayo last weekend\, London did improve markedly in the second half but could never get within striking distance of the Kingdom\, despite the accuracy of Fionn O’Riain Broin from placed balls and some excellent points from the likes of Padraig Muldoon\, Noah Quinlan\, Paul Kennedy and substitute Donnacha Leahy. \nKerry were on top from the outset and with their well oiled attack in scoring form\, they had found the London net four times in the opening half to lead by 15 at the interval\, so London were never in this contest. \nKerry also had Ronan Walsh in excellent form from placed balls. The Kerry defence\, individually\, and in support play\, were always in control. Kerry did concede four points for illegal hand passes with referee Adam Kinahan strict on the day. \nKerry were in cruise control in the first half and scored 1-9 from their first ten scoring chances with Daniel Casey finding the London net as early as the fifth minute. Oisin Maunsell\, Ronan Walsh\, Casey from play and Jordan Brick heaped misery on London who were almost totally reliant on the free taking of O’Rian Broin. \nKerry added further goals from Oisin Maunsell after a Casey assist in the 27th minute and struck for two more goals before half time from Michael Slattery and Jordan Brick\, so at half time Kerry retired 4-11 to 0-8 in front and it was game over. \nKerry moved 17 points ahead midway through the second half (4-17 to 0-12) thanks to a series of points from Hugh Lenihan\, Oisin Maunsell\, Ronan Walsh (0-3) and Jordan Brick. \nKerry either relaxed or became tired and London rallied with a Sean Glynn goal and five points from O’Rian Broin to reduce the deficit to 12 points but the Kingdom were always in control. \nScorers for Kerry: R Walsh (1-7\, 6fs)\, J Brick and O Maunsell (1-3 each)\, D Casey (1-2)\, M Slattery (1-0)\, J Conway (0-2)\, M Leane\, H Lenihan\, F O’Sullivan and G Dooley (0-1 each) \nScorers for London: F O’Rian Broin (0-10\, 9fs\, 1’65)\, S Glynn (1-0) N Quinlan (0-3)\, P Kennedy and D Leahy (0-2 each) P Muldoon\, R Lodge\, D Dawson and O Donnelly (0-1 each) Teams: \nKERRY: C Bohane; E Leen\, S McGrath\, K O’Connor; J O’Connor\, N O’Mahony\, M Leane; H Lenihan\, A Segal; T Doyle\, R Walsh\, J Brick; O Maunsell\, D Casey\, M Slattery.\nSubs: S Foran for E Leen (h/t). SUMMARY:2026 TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí (Under 19 A Football) Final - Tralee CBS 2-19 High School Clonmel 1-13
DESCRIPTION:Tralee CBS defeated High School Clonmel by 2-19 to 1-13 in the TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí (Under 19 A Football) Final on Saturday February 7th at Mallow. \n\n\n🏐 REPORT: Tralee CBS defeated High School Clonmel in a dramatic Corn Uí Mhuirí @MunsterGAA Colleges Final #GAA ⬇️https://t.co/CQGsSJfLze \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 7\, 2026 \n \nTralee CBS win Corn Uí Mhuirí \nTralee CBS 2-19 High School Clonmel 1-13 \nReport By Stephen Barry at Mallow for GAA.ie \nTralee CBS won their 17th TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí title with nine points to spare after a game of dramatic twists and turns against High School Clonmel at Mallow. \nThe Green looked home and hosed after producing a 1-12 burst from the eighth to 34th minutes\, while holding their opponents scoreless. Then\, the High School came with their own unanswered 1-7 streak. It was back to a one-score game with 10 minutes to play\, but a goal from man-of-the-match Gearóid White proved the insurance score. \nRonan Carroll (0-6\, 1 free)\, Máirtín McKivergan\, and Nick Lacey (0-4 each) were also prominent on the scoresheet\, while two-point specialist Luke Foley top-scored with 0-7 for Clonmel. \nHaving lost two finals since their last triumph in 2020\, this was a sweet success for the Marc Ó Sé-managed school. \nIt also completed a unique double by adding the Munster A football title to their Munster B hurling silverware. That victory was secured eight days ago\, with opening goalscorer Eoin O’Flaherty\, Mikey Corridon\, and the Hurley twins\, Cillian and Ryan\, starring in both codes. They will face the Connacht champions in the Hogan Cup semi-final. \nThe High School were fired up right from the off. They came forward from the throw-in for a Foley free\, which McKivergan cancelled out. Clonmel then forced an overcarrying free\, from which target-man Mikey McGuire created a goal chance for Aaron McAndrew. The Moyle Rovers man blasted over. When John Lyons blocked the next Tralee shot\, they countered for a Conor Freaney point. \nBut led by their joint-captain McKivergan\, who won an All-Ireland in Croke Park with his club Ballymacelligott last month\, Tralee took over the midfield contest. \nThey reeled off five consecutive points\, including a standout individual score by McKivergan from the opposition kick-out. Lacey turned a close-range goal chance wide\, but compensated with two brilliant points cutting onto his right foot. \nJohnny Murphy black-carded Lyons for a late tackle on O’Flaherty\, and Tralee extended their scoring streak with another five unanswered points in the subsequent 10 minutes. Carroll had two of those\, one of which could’ve been a goal only for a superb save by the outstretched right boot of James O’Brien. Carroll had the ball in the net moments later\, but Murphy correctly deemed it a square ball. \nOnce restored to 15 players\, O’Brien saved Clonmel again with another fine block from Lacey. The half ended with a Clonmel claim for a penalty\, which wasn’t given\, before McGuire had a follow-up shot saved by Olivier Lata. \nAny remaining flicker of hope appeared to have been extinguished within a minute of the resumption. Centre-back O’Flaherty was involved three times between the turnover and receiving the final pass from Cian McKenna to unleash a classy bottom-corner finish. \n\nEoin O’Flaherty scores the first goal for Tralee CBS \n\nCant touch this! 🕺@thegreencbs carve through the defence completely unscathed through exceptional interplay and find the bottom corner! 🙌 \nWatch the @Munsterpps Corn Uí Mhuirí FINAL live now on #ClubberTV ➡ https://t.co/yMkMTpFmTc 📺 pic.twitter.com/Kuawn6Skby \n— Clubber (@clubber) February 7\, 2026 \n \n\nA Carroll free and Lacey point made it 1-13 to 0-3. Luke Hannigan’s outside-of-the-ball point got Clonmel on the board after 29 scoreless minutes. \nThey still trailed by 13 points until mounting a remarkable comeback. Foley sparked it with a pair of two-point frees in the 43rd and 46th minutes. \nTwo minutes later\, McGuire doubled on a long ball with the perfect uppercut to send it into the net. \n\nMikey McGuire goal for High School Clonmel \n\nUNBELIEVABLE GOAL from @hsclonmelcbs! 🔴⚫️ \nThe hand of god from Mikey McGuire amidst a heroic second-half comeback 🙌 \nWatch the @munsterpps Corn Uí Mhuirí FINAL live now on #ClubberTV ➡ https://t.co/yMkMTpFmTc 📺 pic.twitter.com/E2U1SnysGR \n— Clubber (@clubber) February 7\, 2026 \n \n\nJack Kealy and McGuire were denied a goal in one scramble\, but the High School worked the subsequent 45 short for Foley’s third two-pointer. When McAndrew handpassed over\, it was a one-score game\, 1-14 to 1-11\, with 10 minutes to play. \nBut Tralee had the insurance score in the 52nd minute as White embarked on a solo run from outside the arc to round the keeper and tap in. \nTom Quilter and Seán Hickey helped to make the game safe\, while Paddy Spelman launched a stoppage-time two-pointer at the other end. \nScorers for Tralee CBS: Gearóid White 1-2; Ronan Carroll 0-6 (1f); Eoin O’Flaherty 1-1; Máirtín McKivergan\, Nick Lacey 0-4 each; Tom Quilter\, Seán Hickey 0-1 each. \nScorers for High School Clonmel: Luke Foley 0-7 (2tpf\, 1tp\, 1f); Mikey McGuire 1-0; Paddy Spelman (tp)\, Aaron McAndrew 0-2 each; Luke Hannigan\, Conor Freaney 0-1 each. \nTralee CBS: Olivier Lata; Michael Enright\, Eoin Moriarty\, Stephen Turner; Fionnán Ryan\, Eoin O’Flaherty\, Mikey Corridon; Máirtín McKivergan\, Cian McKenna; Tadhg O’Connor\, Gearóid White\, Tom Quilter; Ryan Hurley\, Ronan Carroll\, Nick Lacey.\nSubs: Cillian Hurley for O’Connor (46)\, Darragh Murphy for R Hurley (58)\, Seán Hickey for Quilter (60+2)\, Jack Power for Enright (60+5). \nHigh School Clonmel: James O’Brien; Harry Lawlor\, Rian Galko\, John Lyons; Luke Hannigan\, Andrew Ryan\, Paddy Spelman; Killian Smith\, Luke Foley; Aaron McAndrew\, Finn Napier\, Briain Morrisson; Conor Freaney\, Mikey McGuire\, Dylan McCormack.\nSubs: Jamal Yousif for McCormack (h-t)\, Conall Morrisson for Napier (43)\, Jack Kealy for Freaney (47)\, David Ryan for B Morrisson (55)\, Oisín O’Reilly for A Ryan (57\, temp)\, Brandon Landers for Lyons (60+1). \nReferee: Johnny Murphy (Limerick). \n\nFixture Details \nSaturday February 7th\nMunster GAA PPS TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí Final\nTralee CBS v High School Clonmel\nVenue: Mallow\nTime: 1:30pm\nReferee: TBC\nExtra time if necessary\, result on the day \n\nTicket Information \nTickets will be available to purchase online from 3pm on Wednesday January 28th at https://www.universe.com/users/munster-gaa-TR8ZGN. \nAdults – €15\n2nd and 3rd Level Students / OAPs – €10\nUnder 12s – Free \n\nLive Streaming \n\nCan @cbsthegreen_tralee claim their first Corn Uí Mhuirí title since 2020?🤔🏆 \nTake a look back at their road to the final..🔵🟡 \nThe @munstergaa Corn Uí Mhuirí Final will be broadcast live this Saturday only on #ClubberTV 📺 pic.twitter.com/B7TAhFNIBD \n— Clubber (@clubber) February 5\, 2026 \n \n\n \nAttendees\, from left\, High School Clonmel joint captains Mikey McGuire and Luke Hannigan\, and Tralee CBS joint captains Mairtín McKivergan and Fionnán Ryan during the 2026 TUS Corn Uí Mhuirí Football Final media event at TUS Moylish Campus in Limerick. Cork have now won seven consecutive Allianz Hurling League games for the first time since 1953. \nFrom last year’s All-Ireland teams\, Ben O’Connor picked 10 established starters and Liam Cahill nine for this February rematch in ideal conditions. \nOf the newcomers\, William Buckley backed up his man-of-the-match performance against Waterford with three points\, while his teenage marker Cathal O’Reilly struck a point at the other end. \nThere was no sign of a Tipp sweeper here\, but Connors often shuttled back to provide a defensive shield. That worked well early on. \nThe sides traded points in pairs for the opening 15 minutes\, with Tipp repeatedly edging ahead and Cork pinning them back. Jake Morris and Andrew Ormond rotated the centre-forward role to each snipe two points. \nHalf-backs Craig Morgan and Sam O’Farrell gave Tipp their last lead at 0-6 to 0-4. From there\, Cork began to get more purchase and reeled off five points in a row\, including fine efforts from Buckley and Barrett. \nCork were first to threaten a goal. O’Reilly hooked Buckley\, but the corner-forward then picked out Barrett. The speedster was brought down by Johnny Ryan\, who was black-carded. Declan Dalton stepped up\, but failed to replicate his clinical finish against Waterford as Rhys Shelly made a routine save. Fitzgibbon ensured Cork didn’t leave without a point. \nA Connors turnover point and two Forde frees levelled at 0-10 apiece\, but Cork would add the next five in succession\, with two from Connolly. In total\, they won the period with an extra man by 0-6 to 0-4. \nWhen Eoin Downey and Mark Coleman chipped in with white flags\, both wing-backs had contributed two points each. Séamus Kennedy completed the set of Tipp half-backs splitting the posts to make the score 0-16 to 0-12. It proved the last score before the break. \nReferee Liam Gordon the half-time whistle after dishing out those red cards to Jason Forde and Shane Barrett following a melee. \nThat was the only real flashpoint as Cork held Tipp at arm’s length until the closing stages. Fitzgibbon and Buckley kept them motoring with a couple of points each. \nTipp called upon Hurler of the Year John McGrath\, yet it was Eoghan Connolly who had the greatest bench impact with four long-range frees. He finished as Tipp’s top scorer among 13 different players to raise a white flag. \nSubstitute Darragh McCarthy brought it back to a one-score game with his 66th-minute free. \nHowever\, Connolly sparked a four-point streak to make the points safe. Cork enter a three-week break until they visit Kilkenny on March 1\, while Tipp host Limerick in a fortnight. \n\nPost Match Interview with Cork Manager Ben O’Connor \n\nBen O'Connor reacts to his side's three wins but has questions for referee Liam Gordon as to why 'he blew us up three minutes early' adding\, 'was anyone hurt?'\, explaining physicality is a part of the game. \n📺@rte2 and @rteplayer💻 https://t.co/7RgNbKpaUb pic.twitter.com/o66liTL4R8 \n— The Sunday Game (@TheSundayGame) February 7\, 2026 \n \n\nScorers for Cork: Alan Connolly 0-8 (4fs); Darragh Fitzgibbon 0-7 (1f); Diarmuid Healy\, William Buckey 0-3 each; Eoin Downey\, Mark Coleman\, Shane Barrett 0-2 each; Brian Hayes\, Tim O’Mahony 0-1 each. \nScorers for Tipperary: Eoghan Connolly 0-4 (4f); Jake Morris 0-3 (1f); Willie Connors\, Andrew Ormond\, Jason Forde (2f)\, Darragh McCarthy (2f) 0-2 each; Cathal O’Reilly\, Sam O’Farrell\, Craig Morgan\, Séamus Kennedy\, Conor Stakelum\, Oisín O’Donoghue\, Noel McGrath 0-1 each. \nCork: Patrick Collins; Seán O’Donoghue\, Dáire O’Leary\, Ger Millerick; Eoin Downey\, Robert Downey\, Mark Coleman; Micheál Mullins\, Ethan Twomey; Darragh Fitzgibbon\, Shane Barrett\, Diarmuid Healy; William Buckley\, Declan Dalton\, Alan Connolly.\nSubs: Cormac O’Brien for Coleman (HT)\, Tim O’Mahony for Mullins (44)\, Brian Hayes for Dalton (44)\, Hugh O’Connor for Twomey (52)\, Robbie O’Flynn for Buckley (64). \nTipperary: Rhys Shelly; Johnny Ryan\, Bryan O’Mara\, Cathal O’Reilly; Sam O’Farrell\, Craig Morgan\, Séamus Kennedy; Willie Connors\, Conor Stakelum; Andrew Ormond\, Jake Morris\, Josh Keller; Darragh Stakelum\, Oisín O’Donoghue\, Jason Forde.\nSubs: John McGrath for D Stakelum (HT)\, Eoghan Connolly for Kennedy (44)\, Noel McGrath for Keller (49)\, Darragh McCarthy for O’Donoghue (56)\, Paddy McCormack for Ormond (61). \nReferee: Liam Gordon (Galway). \n\n \nSeán O’Donoghue of Cork wins possession ahead of his team mate Ger Millerick and Tipperary forwaeds Darragh Stekelum and Jason Forde during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Cork and Tipperary at SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh in Cork. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1B - Clare 3-35 Down 0-15
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Down by 3-35 to 0-15 in Round 3 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B on Sunday February 8th at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg\, Ennis. \n\n\nHandful impress on Clare bows as Banner canter to victory over Down https://t.co/GpPtDbXD3L \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 8\, 2026 \n \nHandful impress on Clare bows as Banner canter to victory over Down \nReport by Eoin Brennan courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAHL Division 1B: Clare 3-35 Down 0-15 \nA first clash in 15 years wasn’t a classic reunion as Clare cantered to the biggest victory of Division 1B so far against newcomers Down in Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg\, Ennis. \nIndeed\, the fact that two divisions separated the sides 12 months ago was a more accurate reflection of the 29-point chasm as the 2024 All-Ireland champions moved swiftly through the gears to brush aside the Ulster side. \nMuch more significantly than the result\, the most pleasing aspect for home manager Brian Lohan was impressive National League starting debuts for five point hero Senan Dunford\, Ross Hayes\, Niall O’Farrell and Diarmuid Stritch while U20s Ronan Kilroy and Jamie Moylan made their senior competitive bow off the bench. \nIn addition\, the Banner welcomed back two-time All-Star John Conlon for the first time in 2026 following a freak finger injury while Jack Kirwan\, Dylan McMahon and Colm O’Meara gained further senior experience. \nBetween them\, Dunford (5)\, Stritch (3) and O’Farrell (2) combined for ten points amidst 12 different scorers while on the flip side\, the ever-impressive Pearse Óg McCrickard was Down’s talisman with seven points. \nThe visitors did start brightly\, with McCrickard scoring twice as the sides were level three times in the opening nine minutes at 0-4 to 0-4. That was as good as it got for Ronan Sheehan’s side though as Clare garnered the next nine points with Jack Kirwan starting the finishing the blitz while chief marksman Mark Rodgers potted three frees to soar 0-13 to 0-04 clear by the 24th minute. \nSuch a deflating siege proved detrimental to Down’s early buoyancy as despite a first score in 16 minutes through Pearse Óg McCrickard\, they would be punished with another nine-point home haul that saw Rodgers\, Shane Meehan and Cathal Malone score braces to power 0-22 to 0-07 in front by the break. \nWith the result beyond any doubt\, the quality did dip on the restart as Clare hit more wides than scores and Down used their bench to ensure a third quarter parity at 0-5 to 0-5 thanks to points from replacements Paul Sheehan and Cathal Coleman at 0-27 to 0-12. \nHowever\, Clare upped the ante in the final quarter and punished a warweary Down with three goals in nine minutes as substitute Peter Duggan teed up majors for Mark Rodgers and David Fitzgerald before pulling to the net himself entering the final ten minutes to cap off a comprehensive victory in front of a healthy 4\,960 attendance. \n\n \nDavid Fitzgerald of Clare in action against Ruairi McCrickard of Down during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B match between Clare and Down at Zimmer Biomet Páirc Chíosóg in Ennis\, Clare. Reuben Halloran was the standout performer\, finishing with 1-12\, while goalkeeper Billy Nolan played a crucial role with two excellent saves. \nThe sides were evenly matched throughout a competitive first half\, drawing level on three occasions. Halloran opened the scoring on four minutes after being fouled by Brecon Kavanagh\, but Adam Screeney quickly replied for Offaly. Nolan then restored Waterford’s lead in spectacular fashion\, racing forward to unleash a superb strike from the left flank. \nJamie Barron and Brian Lynch combined well to set up Barron for Waterford’s next point\, before Halloran and Screeney traded frees. Calum Lyons added Waterford’s second score from play following good work from Patrick Curran\, but Luke Watkins responded for the visitors. Screeney produced a fine score over his shoulder before Oisín Kelly reduced the deficit to the minimum. \nHalloran kept the scoreboard ticking over from placed balls\, though Waterford were nearly punished when Screeney broke through\, only for Nolan to tip his goalbound effort over the bar. Screeney later levelled matters from a free after Conor Keane was penalised for holding. \nWaterford came close to a goal themselves when Curran caught a long Nolan free\, but Tom O’Connell’s effort was blocked by Kavanagh. Halloran converted a ‘65 for his sixth of the half\, before Offaly again drew level when Brian Duignan narrowly missed the target. A late point from Michael Kiely ensured Waterford held a slender 0-10 to 0-9 advantage at the break. \nHalloran and Screeney exchanged frees on the restart before Waterford seized control with a decisive 1-5 burst. Stephen Bennett announced his return with a superb point\, while Nolan denied Duignan once more with an outstanding block. Halloran settled nerves with a free and Patrick Curran extended the lead after being teed up by Barron. \nAs Iarlaith Daly and man-of-the-match Conor Keane began to dominate aerially\, Waterford tightened their grip. Halloran struck another ‘65 before finishing off a flowing move on 54 minutes\, firing low to the net to effectively seal the contest. \n\nReuben Halloran scores Waterford’s first goal \n\nReuben Halloran with a goal 🎯 for @WaterfordGAA against @Offaly_GAA #AllianzLeagues #WATvOFF pic.twitter.com/t1MtcT7E5s \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 8\, 2026 \n \n\nOffaly showed resilience late on\, with Dan Bourke ending a long scoring drought and Screeney adding frees\, but further points from Halloran brought Waterford to 1-19 as they ran out winners. \nScorers for Waterford: Reuben Halloran 1-12 (9fs\, 3 65s); Stephen Bennett\, Jamie Barron\, Calum Lyons\, Billy Nolan\, Patrick Curran\, Michael Kiely and Sean Walsh 0-1 each. \nScorers for Offaly: Adam Screeney 0-10 (8fs); Dan Ravenhill 0-1 (f); Brian Duignan\, Dan Bourke\, Luke Watkins\, David Nally and Eoghan Cahill 0-1 each. \nWaterford: Billy Nolan; Aaron O’Neill\, Daniel Lalor\, Conor Keane; Brian Lynch\, Iarlaith Daly\, Shane Bennett; Cathrach Daly\, Darragh Lyons; Tom O’Connell\, Jamie Barron\, Calum Lyons; Reuben Halloran\, Michael Kiely\, Patrick Curran.\nSubs: Mark Fitzgerald for Cathrach Daly (HT); Stephen Bennett for Tom O’Connell (HT); Charlie Treen for Patrick Curran (57); Sean Mackey for Daniel Lalor (60); Sean Walsh for Michael Kiely (63); Mairtín Power for Conor Keane (68). \nOffaly: Mark Troy; Ben Miller\, Ben Conneely\, Sam Bourke; Dan Ravenhill\, Brecon Kavanagh\, Ross Ravenhill; Luke Watkins\, Cathal King; Ter Guinan\, Dan Bourke\, Oisin Kelly; Eoghan Cahill\, Brian Duignan\, Adam Screeney.\nSubs: Jack Clancy for Ross Ravenhill (35); Colin Spain for Ter Guinan (55); Ciaran Clancy for Luke Watkins (57); David Nally for Eoghan Cahill (61); Luke Nolan for Adam Screeney (70). \nReferee: Chris Mooney (Dublin). \n\n \nReuben Halloran of Waterford shoots to score his side’s first goal during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Waterford and Offaly at Azzuri Walsh Park in Waterford. DESCRIPTION:Longford defeated Waterford by 2-18 to 3-14 in Round 1 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Saturday February 8th at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field Dungarvan. \n\n\n🏐 Daniel Reynolds' late goal ensured @OfficialLDGAA overcame @WaterfordGAA in Division Four of the Allianz Football League #GAA ⬇️https://t.co/4qRPU4Grs4 \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 8\, 2026 \n \nAllianz FL D4: Longford defeat Waterford \nLongford 2-18 Waterford 3-14 \nRound-up from GAA.ie \nThere was high drama at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field this afternoon as Longford snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to leave Waterford heartbroken. \nIt had looked like Waterford might stage a smash and grab of their own when they hit a goal in stoppage time from Liam Mulligan\, but Daniel Reynolds struck a Longford goal deep into added time to help Mike Solan’s side to victory. \nLongford had lost their opening Division Four tie to London by five points at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park and this was a much needed boost as they look towards a Round Three encounter with Antrim at Toomebridge next weekend. \nTheir 2-18 tally will have pleased them after managing just 2-9 against a London side that already had a game under their belt. \nFor Waterford\, who host Wicklow next weekend\, it was a second successive defeat after a five point loss to Leitrim at Carrick-on-Shannon. \nLast gasp hero Daniel Reynolds finished with 1-2 from play while other key moments for Longford included a second half two pointer from Dessie Reynolds\, a vital 24th minute save from their goalkeeper Eoin McGuinness and a Dylan Farrell goal on 22 minutes. \n“To be fair to Dan when he turns the afterburners on not too many with him and he created that goal pretty much out of nothing and you have to say ‘well done’ to him but it was a real team effort\, “said Solan afterwards\, speaking to Longford GAA. \nAn Aaron Ryan goal edged Waterford 1-2 to 0-4 ahead in the 19th minute\, but Longford responded. \nDylan Farrell netted for the midlanders’\, who departed at the break armed with a 1-8 to 1-7 advantage. \nWaterford struck goals courtesy of Darragh Walsh and Liam Mulligan to lead 3-14 to 1-18\, but Reynolds supplied the decisive blow. \nSCORERS – Longford: Daniel Reynolds 1-6 (2 2p)\, D Farrell 1-4 (2 45\, 1f)\, P Lynn 0-2\, M Carey\, P Moran\, J Moran\, O Kenny\, Dessie Reynolds\, C Brady 0-1 each. Diarmaid Byrnes and Aidan O’Connor\, both landed frees while the later also chipped in from play. \nThe returning Aaron Gillane was also on the mark as Kilkenny struggled to get to the required pace early on. After a trio of wides\, the Cats registered through John Donnelly and there was more life when Eoin Cody fired over his first for Derek Lyng’s men. \nThe Ballyhale forward set up the opening goal\, feeding Martin ‘Mossy’ Keoghan\, whose shot just about went through a sea of green bodies. Limerick had earlier gone close through Gillane\, but Aidan Tallis and Mikey Carey combined to prevent the Patrickswell forward finding the net. \nIt was a tight remainder of the half\, with the sides level a further five times as they traded scores. Nice efforts from Timmy Clifford and Eoin Cody for Kilkenny were answered by Matthew Fitzgerald and the busy Peter Casey. \nHowever\, four of the final five points in the half went to the home outfit\, as Casey\, Adam English and O’Connor were accurate. English’s point the pick of the scores to push Limerick 0-14 to 1-9 ahead at the change of ends. \nAaron Gillane rattled the net on the 57 minutes. Played in\, unmarked by English\, the inside forward elected not to pass to Cathal O’Neill\, but instead thunder home a rocket that Tallis had little chance of seeing and certainly not stopping. \n\nAaron Gillane with a second half goal for Limerick \n\nAaron Gillane with a goal 🎯 for @LimerickCLG against @KilkennyCLG #AllianzLeagues #LIMvKK pic.twitter.com/gr3e3DtNH2 \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 8\, 2026 \n \n\nHe added a point soon after as the gap widened to seven. Kilkenny were inaccurate for much of the second half and this is one of the reasons the 2023 League winners pulled clear. \nThere was time for Diarmaid Byrnes to see a penalty saved by Aidan Tallis\, after Mikey Carey was black carded for a trip. Kilkenny host Waterford in a fortnight’s time\, while the Treaty clash with old rivals Tipperary in Thurles. \n\n \nWilliam O’Donoghue of Limerick is tackled by Eoin Cody of Kilkenny during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Limerick and Kilkenny at TUS Gaelic Grounds in Limerick. In fact\, when it comes to engineering breakthrough wins\, few do it better than the Tipperary legend who has guided UL to their first ever Electric Ireland Sigerson Cup title. \nPower famously guided his native Tipp to an All-Ireland minor win in 2011 and then a landmark Munster SFC win in 2020. \nThis win as UL manager will probably be just as memorable for the current Tipp senior ladies boss as UL achieved their maiden Sigerson win\, having already won a first ever Division 1 league title over winter\, the hardest way possible. \nThey had to overcome extra time knock-out encounters with Maynooth and Queen’s just to reach Croke Park and then gained revenge on UCC on the grand stage. \nUCC claimed their 24th title three seasons ago when they beat UL in the 2023 decider but it was the men in white that prevailed this time\, led again by rising Mayo star Cian McHale who capped a terrific campaign with 0-5. \n\nInterview with UL Manager David Power \n\n"I thought that was probably our most controlled performance".🗣️ \nSmaointe bainisteoir Ollscoil Luimnigh David Power i bPáirc an Chrócaigh.@ul_gaa \nBEO/LIVETG4 AR @TG4TV 📺 #GAABEO @HigherEdGAA pic.twitter.com/UI5zYj5f4Y \n— Spórt TG4 (@SportTG4) February 11\, 2026 \n \n\nCiarán Collins and captain Brian McNamara had powerful games too while goalkeeper Tristan O’Callaghan pulled off a series of important saves to deny UCC. \nSubs have played a huge part in UL’s journey to success this season and Daithí Hogan made a big impact when he came on this time\, scoring two important late points. \n\nPost-Match Interview with man of the match Tristan O’Callaghan of UL \n\n"This is just the icing on the cake\, here in Croke Park in front of our family and friends".🗣️ \nLabhair an Laoch na hImeartha Tristan O'Callaghan linn tar éis an chluiche.@ul_gaa \nBEO/LIVETG4 AR @TG4TV 📺 #GAABEO @HigherEdGAA pic.twitter.com/9aXVVMuTDU \n— Spórt TG4 (@SportTG4) February 11\, 2026 \n \n\nUL saw off Queen’s after extra time last Friday evening and hit the ground running here with a powerful first 20 minutes or so that left them 0-8 to 0-4 ahead at that stage. \nCollins\, so influential from the bench against Queen’s\, clipped two points while skipper McNamara\, UL’s only survivor from the 2023 final\, was at the centre of their best work. \nCathal Brosnan\, whose stoppage time goal for UL against Queen’s sent that game to extra time\, weighed in with a score as well. \nBut UL must have been concerned that the chances that got away with four point attempts dropping short in the first half and a further four wides. \nCollins had no less than three goal attempts in the opening half. Power’s crew were made to pay as UCC finished the half strongly\, outscoring UL by 1-2 to 0-1 to tie it up at the interval\, 1-6 to 0-9. \n\n \nCiaran Collins of UL in action against Dan Peet of UCC during the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Sigerson Cup final match between University College Cork and University of Limerick at Croke Park in Dublin. Photo by Stephen McCarthy/Sportsfile \n\n\nCiarán Santry pinched their goal right on the half hour mark\, with a poacher’s finish from close range. Kerry senior Ruairí Murphy supplied the teasing ball across goal that just evaded UL and Laois defender Ben Dempsey\, allowing Santry to palm home. \nIn a near empty Croke Park with a low cloud hanging above the pitch\, a terrific encounter broke out after the break with goal chances at both ends. \nUCC duo Conor Daly and Emmet Daly both had shots saved by UL goalkeeper O’Callaghan. Then it was UL and Mayo forward Frank Irwin’s turn to sting the palms of UCC stopper Austin Murphy in the 40th minute. \nThe sides were level twice in that period but UL made an impressive push for the winning line when they reeled off four points in a row\, two from McHale\, one from Brosnan and another from Hogan. \nUCC chased a goal late on but it never arrived as UL clung on to make history with Cathal Ryan and Hogan supplying late scores. \n\n \nUCC captain Ruairi Murphy\, left\, shakes hands with UL captain Brian McNamara infront of referee Brendan Cawley before the Electric Ireland Higher Education GAA Sigerson Cup final match between University College Cork and University of Limerick at Croke Park in Dublin. UL. \nLimerick’s Cathal O’Neill powered a star-studded UL to back-to-back Fitzgibbon Cup titles at Croke Park and\, in the process\, into the history books as just the fourth third level institution to complete the double. \nO’Neill was terrific with seven points from play as UL secured their 10th title in the competition and bragging rights over their city neighbours. \nIt’s UL’s fourth win in five seasons and perhaps makes up for the pan of their 2024 defeat to the same opposition. \nYoung Hurler of the Year Darragh McCarthy was excellent for UL as well with eighth points while Jack Leahy rose to the occasion with 1-5\, all from play. \nThere were goals too from Limerick ace Adam English and Jack O’Neill as Brian Ryan’s side led virtually from start to finish. \nJamie Wall’s Mary I were superbly led by Shane O’Brien who struck 1-12\, and the 2024 champions registered a creditable 3-21. \nBut they still lost by 13 points – underlining just how special this UL team really is. \nThe men in white never looked like slipping up on a pristine pitch that suited their slick stick work and unique ability. \nBoth sides were boosted by the return of key players with O’Brien back for Mary I after missing the semi-final win over tournament hosts DCU with a bug. \nThe Kilmallock man was immediately involved and clipped five first-half points into the Davin End\, three from frees. \nTipperary’s Joe Caesar drilled three from play also but while Mary I notched a relatively healthy 13 first-half points\, they couldn’t live with UL’s attacking ability at the other end. \nThe game was only 14 minutes old and already Ryan’s side had three goals racked up as they set the tempo and ran hard at Mary I’s defence. \nJack O’Neill was fed by Aidan O’Connor for the first goal\, English burst through the centre for the second and Leahy capped a strong start with UL’s third goal. \nWith top county talents like Adam Screeney and Oisín O’Donoghue relatively quiet\, and UL still cutting the MICL defence asunder\, the writing was on the wall from an early stage. \nCathal O’Neill missed UL’s quarter and semi-final wins and proved his worth with a strong first-half display\, helping UL to lead by 3-13 to 0-13 at the interval. \nMary I knew they were going to need goals to rescue a result and they duly grabbed three of them in the second period. \nO’Brien netted from a penalty\, Caesar got their second and substitute Ben Currivan\, so strong from the bench against DCU\, delivered again with a stunning strike. \nThey were also boosted by the return from a calf injury of Clare defender and former Young Hurler of the Year Adam Hogan in the third quarter. \nAnd yet\, in truth\, UL never looked like being caught as they added another goal themselves\, from substitute Fintan Fitzgerald who finished with 1-1. \nSub Diarmuid Stritch got on the scoresheet for UL also and Leahy rounded off a memorable evening with their last point. \n\nPost-Match Interview with Man of the Match Cathal O’Neill of UL \n\nLán-Ama@MICLimerick 3-21@ul_gaa 4-31 \nCathal O’Neill\, mar Laoch na hImeartha\, ag labhairt linn: \n “It’s class having a chance to play with lads from Tipp\, Cork\, Galway… you wouldn’t get the chance to play together otherwise.” 🏐✨#GAABEO @HigherEdGAA pic.twitter.com/kKcMJpnxYP \n— Spórt TG4 (@SportTG4) February 13\, 2026 \n \n\nUL scorers: Jack Leahy 1-5\, Darragh McCarthy 0-8 (0-7f)\, Cathal O’Neill 0-7\, Fintan Fitzgerald 1-1\, Adam English 1-1\, Jack O’Neill 1-0\, Aidan O’Connor 0-3\, Colin Coughlan 0-3\, Adam Screeney 0-1\, Oisín O’Donoghue 0-1\, Diarmuid Stritch 0-1. \nMICL scorers: Shane O’Brien 1-12 (0-7f\, 1-0 pen\, 0-1 65)\, Joe Caesar 1-3\, Ben Currivan 1-0\, Darragh Walsh 0-1 (0-1f)\, Jimmy Quilty 0-1\, Shane Walsh 0-1\, Oisín O’Farrell 0-1\, Ronan O’Connor 0-1\, Donncha Campbell 0-1. \nUL: Darach Fahy (Ardrahan\, Galway); Then\, it all flipped on its head. \nGoals from Cian Hernon and Johnny Maher\, and a pair of two-pointers from Shane McGrath saw Galway come away with a point. \nThe first half had totally belonged to Kerry\, with goals from Keith Evans and David Clifford helping them to a 10-point lead\, albeit with a stiff wind behind them at a wet Austin Stack Park. \nThe first quarter was a tepid enough thing\, with Kerry points from Dylan Casey\, Micheal Burns\, Evans and Cillian Trant helping the home side to a 0-4 to 0-2 lead after 15 minutes. \nGalway then played hara-kiri in their defence\, allowing Armin Heinrich to dispossess Brian Cogger\, and while Eamon McGrath saved well from Tony Brosnan’s shot\, Evans was there to put the ball into the goal. \nGalway responded within a minute from Matthew Tierney with a smart finish from a tight angle past Shane Murphy\, but Clifford converted twice within a minute from outside the two-point arc to put Kerry six ahead. \nTierney kicked Galway’s third point\, but then McGrath dropped Casey’s high dropping ball\, and Clifford was on hand to sweep the ball to the net. \nPoints from Burns and Brosnan extended Kerry’s lead to 10 at the break\, 2-10 to 1-3. \nOisin Mac Donnacha kicked an early two-pointer for Galway\, but points from Joe O’Connor\, Evans and Trant (2) pushed Kerry into a 2-15 to 1-15 lead\, and it was hard to see a Galway revival from there\, even with a stiffening wind behind them. \nShane McGrath’s first two-pointer didn’t move the dial a huge amount\, but when Cian Hernon found the net to make it 2-16 to 2-11 Galway’s dander was up. \nThree minutes later Maher shot low past Shaned Murphy and Galway were within two points. \nKerry were the team under pressure now\, and struggling to find traction\, and when McGrath fired over another two-pointer the Galway comeback was complete. \nScorers for Kerry: D Clifford 1-6 (2 tp)\, M Burns 1-2\, C Trant 0-3\, K Evans 0-2\, D Casey 0-2\, T Brosnan 0-1\, J O’Connor 0-1. \nScorers for Galway: M Tierney 1-4 (1 tpf)\, S McGrath 0-5 (2 tp)\, C Hernon 1-0\, J Maher 1-0\, O Mac Donnacha 0-2 (tp)\, F Ó Laoi 0-1\, D Ó Flaherty 0-1\, D McHugh 0-1. \nKerry: Shane Murphy\, Evan Looney\, Jason Foley\, Dylan Casey\, Armin Heinrich\, Tadhg Morley\, Graham O’Sullivan\, Joe O’Connor\, Liam Smith\, Cillian Trant\, Seán O’Shea\, Micheál Burns\, Tony Brosnan\, David Clifford\, Keith Evans.\nSubs: Eddie Healy for G O’Sullivan (51)\, Mark O’Shea for L Smith (53)\, Donagh O’Sullivan for M Burns (56)\, Cathal Brosnan for T Brosnan (64)\, Paul Murphy for J Foley (69). \nGalway: Eamon McGrath\, Johnny McGrath\, Ryan Roche\, Jack Glynn\, Brian Cogger\, Cian Hernon\, Sean Kelly\, Kieran Molloy\, Matthew Tierney\, Shane McGrath\, Ciaran Mulhearn\, John Maher\, Fionn McDonagh\, Robert Finnerty\, Oisín Mac Donnacha.\nSubs: Finnian Ó Laoi for B Cogger (27)\, Daniel Ó Flaherty for C Mulhearn (42)\, Charlie Power for R Roche (45)\, Dylaniam McHugh for K Molloy (47)\, L Ó Conghaile for O Mac Donnacha (61). \nReferee: P Faloon (Down). \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Football League Div 1 \nKerry play Galway tomorrow at 5pm in Austin Stack Park \nFor full team news: https://t.co/iY8NKOrTdI#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/D2XBg9URBM \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) February 13\, 2026 \n \n\n🚨TEAM NEWS 🚨The Galway Senior Football team to face Kerry in Round 3 of the Football League is announced: \nGAILLIMH V CIARRAÍ📍Austin Stack Park🗓️Saturday 14 Feb 2026🕖 5.00PM📺 RTE📻 Radio Commentary on Galway Bay FM\, RnaG Spórt \nBuy Match Tickets 🎟… pic.twitter.com/L8KM4I21Wy \n— Galway GAA Official (@Galway_GAA) February 12\, 2026 \n \nGALWAY (NFL v Kerry): C. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Wicklow 0-14 Waterford 0-9
DESCRIPTION:Wicklow defeated Waterford by 0-14 to 0-9 in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Saturday February 14th at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, Dungarvan. \n\n\nWicklow dig in to earn win as Waterford wait goes on https://t.co/TblrFXI0r6 \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 14\, 2026 \n \nWicklow dig in to earn win as Waterford wait goes on \nReport by Jack McKay courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nWaterford 0-9 (0-1-7) Wicklow 0-14 (0-1-12) \nWicklow ground it out in Dungarvan. Nothing pretty about it\, nothing polished. But two points all the same. \nIn driving rain and a slicing wind at Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, they found a way past Waterford\, grinding out a 0-14 to 0-9 victory in this National Football League Division 4 encounter on Saturday. \nThe Déise had led at the interval – 0-5 to 0-4 – but playing into the wicked wind and rain in the latter half made their one-point lead all the more precarious\, and their opponents came surging back. \nDean Healy dragged them back. Superb in the second half\, he edged Wicklow ahead on 53 minutes. Kevin Quinn’s free pushed it to two. Jack Kirwan nearly hit the net it in the 58th minute – his close-range strike cannoned off the post. \nMoments later Healy raised the first orange flag. Waterford replied through Dermot Ryan – who’d been excellent all evening – and suddenly it was 0-11 to 0-9 with five to play. \nThe Déise pushed. They probed. But Wicklow held firm. \nSubstitute Joe Prendergast sealed it in stoppage time – two points from intricate handpassing – and James Walsh’s evening ended in chaos for Waterford. Black card\, yellow card\, red card. All three in the span of ten seconds. \nWaterford were better than the scoreboard suggested\, Ryan and Conor Murray in particular stood out. But Prendergast’s injection off the bench proved decisive. \nThe wait goes on. The Déise’s last win remains a March 2025 success over London. \nThis one – in front of their own – will sting. \nScorers for Waterford: D Ryan (0-4\, 1 tp\, 2 frees)\, S Curry (0-2 frees)\, J Walsh\, T Martin (free)\, C Murray (0-1 each). \nScorers for Wicklow: D Healy (0-3\, 1 tp\, 1 free) K Quinn (1 free)\, E Darcy (1 free)\, JP Nolan\, J Prendergast (0-2 each)\, D Fee\, O McGraynor (free)\, C McDonald (0-1 each). \nWaterford: P Hunt; B Hynes\, A Crawford\, C Ó Cuirrín; L Mulligan\, M Curry\, M O’Brien; C Walsh\, D Walsh; T Martin\, D Ryan\, C Murray; J Walsh\, S Curry\, P McCarthy.\nSubs: A Murray for McCarthy (55)\, C Fennell for C Walsh (63)\, C Foley for M Curry (70+3). \nWicklow: M Jackson; C Deering\, C Maguire\, T Moran; G Fogarty\, E Murtagh\, D Fee; D Healy\, J Hardy; C McDonald\, P O’Toole\, K Quinn; O McGraynor\, S Murphy\, E Darcy.\nSubs: C Fee for McGraynor (23-28 temp)\, JP Nolan for McGraynor (HT)\, Jack Kirwan for Murphy (47)\, J Prendergast for Fogarty (63)\, L O’Neill for Darcy (65)\, J McCall for Murtagh (70). \nReferee: J Hayes (Limerick) \n\nTeam News \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐 Allianz Football League – Div 4 Team Announcement \nWaterford 🆚 Wicklow 📅 Saturday\, February 14th📍 Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field\, Dungarvan🕐 6:00pm🎟️ Tickets: https://t.co/XrJc0M0ZwW pic.twitter.com/wBUPI7MWUC \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) February 13\, 2026

DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Fermanagh by 2-18 to 0-18 in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday February 15th at Brewster Park\, Enniskillen. \n\n\nGoals from Aaron Griffin and Daniel Walsh the difference as Clare defeat Fermanagh https://t.co/3LWR79Bip5 \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 15\, 2026 \n \nGoals from Aaron Griffin and Daniel Walsh the difference as Clare defeat Fermanagh \nReport by Gerry McLaughlin courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper\nFermanagh 0-18 (0-4-10) Clare 2-18 (2-2-14) \nGoals win matches as an impressive Clare side showed in picking up two precious points against wasteful Fermanagh in Brewster Park. \nThe crucial three-pointers came in the 13th and 60th minute from the elegant Aaron Griffin and Daniel Walsh to effectively seal this see-saw affair. \nClare deserved their win as they were more clinical in front of goals and hit six wides compared to their opponent’s tally of ten. \nBoth of Clare’s goals came from turnovers as Fermanagh badly missed the towering presence of Lee and Che Cullen along with Ryan Lyons in defence and they need a few stoppers in the centre of the defence. \nAnd Clare had more penetrative power as their direct running caused the Erne-side real danger throughout. \nBut it was Clare’s second goal from Walsh that was the killer blow as they strolled through the middle of the Fermanagh defence before the forward fired the ball low to the net in the 60th minute\, just as the Ernesiders had narrowed the gap to the minimum thanks to a great point from Josh Largo Ellis\, 1-16 to 0-18. \nSuddenly the margin was out to four points and Fermanagh never really looked like bridging the gap as the spectre of relegation looms amid a tough away match with Westmeath next week. \nFor Clare\, who led by 1-10 to 0-10 at the break\, full-forward Mark McInerney and centre forward Griffin were outstanding while the free scoring Ronan McCaffrey and Josh Largo Eliis shone for the home side. \nRecently returned Joe McDade opened the scoring for the home side after a minute’s play. \nBut Griffin swiftly responded for the Banner which set the pattern for a ding- dong opening half. \nMcCaffrey then landed a monster point for the home with Eoin Cleary’s dipping shot just clearing the bar to level matters. \nOn his first League start\, Conor O’Hanlon landed a fine two-pointer for the home side as Brian McNamara skied a superb point for the Banner. \nBut a cheap turnover when attacking was to cost Fermanagh dearly as Clare raced down the pitch with Ronan Lanigan and Eoin Cleary finding the unmarked Griffin deep inside the Erne defence and he cooly picked his spot to put Clare into a 1-3 to 0-4 lead after twelve minutes. \nThe athletic McInerney pointed for Clare\, but Garvan Jones converted a two-pointer free to narrow the gap to a point. \nBut Fermanagh also hit three wides in this period. \nHowever\, a two-pointer from Darragh McGurn and a single point from McDaid put them into a 0-9 to 1-4 lead. \nMcInerney pointed a close range free after Fermanagh were punished for dissent and towering midfielder McNamara levelled matters at 0-9 to 1-6. \nIt was then Fermanagh took a bizarre decision not to have Jones hit a possible two-pointer as keeper Jack Kelly’s effort went wide. \nClare hit a fine two-pointer from Cleary as Griffin and McCaffrey swapped points to leave the winners ahead by 1-10 to 0-10 at the break. \nFermanagh hit a purple patch on the restart and the points flowed from McCaffrey\, Jones\, Josh Largo Ellis. \nTwo needless breaches by Clare were punished with points from Love and Jones pointed for the second breach as Fermanagh led by 0-15 to 1-10. \nFermanagh had a free which keeper Kelly just missed as McInerney got Clare’s first score in eleven minutes. \nMcInerney responded with two great points as Fermanagh racked up their eighth wide. \nCleary made it a three-point game for Clare as McCaffrey responded with a soaring effort for the Ernesiders. \nJosh Largo Ellis finished a fine move with a point as Clare led by 1-15 to 0-17. \nMcInerney pointed after another Erne turnover and Josh Largo Ellis landed Fermanagh’s final point. \nBut that was their last score as Clare finished strongly through Walsh’s vital goal and two further points from Shane Griffin and Cleary. \nFermanagh had a late chance of a goal\, but Clare keeper Stephen Ryan superbly smothered Conor Love’s point-blank shot as Clare went home with two precious points. \nScorers for Fermanagh: G Jones (0-5\, 1tp)\, D McGurn (1tp)\, Josh Largo Ellis\, R McCaffrey (0-3 each)\, C O’Hanlon (2tp)\, J McDade (0-2 each). \nScorers for Clare: M McInerney (0-8\, 1tp\, 5f)\, A Griffin (1-4\, 1tp)\, D Walsh (1-0)\, E Cleary (0-3)\, B McNamara (0-2)\, S Griffin (0-1). \nFermanagh: J Kelly; SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Limerick 1-15 Wexford 1-14
DESCRIPTION:Limerick defeated Wexford by 1-15 to 1-14 in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday February 15th at Mick Neville Park Rathkeale. \n\n\nLate\, late Nash goal sees Limerick pip Wexford https://t.co/sPk162yYcQ \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 15\, 2026 \n \nLate\, late Nash goal sees Limerick pip Wexford \nReport by Eoghan Cormican courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nLimerick 1-15 (1-3-9) Wexford 1-14 (1-2-11) \nA seismic swing in Limerick’s spring. A Peter Nash injury-time goal nudged them in front for the first time in proceedings and delivered a first League win of 2026. A scrambled green flag that couldn’t have been timelier. \nWexford were mere minutes from maintaining their winning start to Division 3 life. 2012 was the last occasion the county won three consecutive games in the League’s third tier. And when Seán Nolan (free) and Jack Higgins threw over successive scores approaching the end of the regulation 70\, the visitors were four in front and firmly on course to bridge a 14-year gap. \nJames Naughton’s second orange flag of the afternoon halved the traveling lead as the clock spilled into injury-time. And it was Naughton who was central to the winning major. Slipped through by Danny Neville\, his side-footed effort along the ground rolled across the face of the goal where sub Peter Nash was present to squeeze the ball home. \nWexford hunted an equaliser in the final injury-time minute of the three allotted. An almighty roar erupted out of Mick Neville Park when a stray handpass deep in the Limerick half brought an end to that hunt and the game itself. \nAfter opening day stalemate with Laois and defeat at home to Down\, Limerick have their first win of the campaign. Two invaluable points to deflate the pressure and pessimism that would have gathered increased pace had the winless start continued on home turf. \nThe visitors played with the gale in the opening period. The visitors were fascinated with the orange flag across said opening period. A fascination that was to their detriment. Its lesser white relative was routinely eschewed so as to work possession back outside the arc. \nThe visitors thrice tried for a two-pointer inside the opening three minutes. Glen Malone and Mark Rossiter were wide\, the third effort landing short and ending in a Seán Nolan converted free. \nOf Wexford’s seven first-half wides\, five were launched from outside the 40-metre paint. There was another two-point attempt from Cathal Keogh blocked down. \nThere were two that were successful. The first from half-back Dylan Furlong propelled Wexford four in front after six minutes. The aforementioned Kehoe followed suit seven minutes later for a 0-6 to 0-1 lead. Mark Rossiter’s opener thereafter shoved the gap out to six\, the largest it would stand at throughout the first half. \nThe Limerick restart\, initially\, creaked under pressure. Six of Jeffrey Alfred’s opening eight kick-outs were not retained. Wexford mined 0-3 of these opposition restarts interrupted. \nThe irksome bottom line for the visitors was that all this dominance was not being translated into the most precious currency of all. A self-inflicted failure to turn dominance into scores. \nLimerick had their own frustrations retreating to the dressing-room at half-time\, even if there would have been overall contentment at being only 0-9 to 0-5 adrift. \nJimmy Lee’s side\, such was the strength of the gale\, dropped three short. Two more were wide. \nJames Naughton and Danny Neville\, when fed\, were taking direct lines and dodging tackles. Cillian Fahy was another of influence in the opposition half. He opened the home side’s account on eight minutes and finished\, at the end of first-half injury-time\, a passage of attacking patience. \nThe sharper and more incisive attacking play of the second period belonged to Wexford. John Hegarty’s charges punched holes and found gaps with an ease that greatly frustrated Treaty boss Jimmy Lee. \nNiall Hughes\, slipped inside by his cousin Páiric\, goaled on 52 minutes to re-establish the four-point advantage they had carried into the change of ends. They again carried a four-point advantage into injury-time. They were caught. A cruel end to their winning start. \nScorers for Limerick: J Naughton (0-7\, tp\, tp free\, 0-1 free); C Fahy (0-3); P Nash (1-0); E O’Riordan (tp)\, R Childs (0-2 each); T McCarthy (0-1). \nScorers for Wexford: S Nolan (0-4\, 0-2 frees); N Hughes (1-0); D Furlong (tp)\, C Kehoe (tp\, 0-2 each); E Porter\, G Malone\, L Coleman\, J Higgins\, T Byrne\, M Rossiter (0-1 each). \nLIMERICK: J Alfred; J Hassett\, D Buckley\, O Collins; E O’Riordan\, K Ryan\, T McCarthy; S Clancy\, B Coleman; J Naughton\, C McSweeney\, A Meade; C Fahy\, D Neville\, R Childs.\nSUBS: P Maher for McSweeney (48); P Nash for Meade (53); J Dineen for Clancy (66). \nWEXFORD: D Brooks; G Sheehan\, L O’Connor\, D Furlong; G Malone\, E Porter\, S Doyle; L Coleman\, N Hughes; C Kehoe\, M Rossiter\, P Hughes; T Byrne\, J Higgins\, S Nolan.\nSUBS: E Nolan for Doyle (HT); C Hughes for Byrne (51); C Feeney for Rossiter\, R Martin for Malone (both 65). \nREFEREE: C Ryan (Galway)

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Carlow 1-17 Tipperary 1-14
DESCRIPTION:Carlow defeated Tipperary by 1-17 to 1-14 in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Sunday February 15th at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles. \n\n\nCarlow topple Tipp to consolidate lead at summit https://t.co/TiOmKBz3ew \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 15\, 2026 \n \nCarlow topple Tipp to consolidate lead at summit \nReport by Stephen Barry courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz Football League Division 4: Tipperary 1-14 (1-2-10) Carlow 1-17 (1-2-13) \nA wind-assisted 10-point turnaround saw Carlow win their third game on the spin to consolidate their lead at the top of Division 4 by beating Tipperary in front of 841 fans at FBD Semple Stadium. \nBen McCarron’s 64th-minute penalty save from Seán O’Connor was the crucial moment to record another victory over their fellow promotion challengers. \nSeven points from Chris Blake and Colm Hulton’s five from play were big contributions for the Barrowsiders to come back from seven behind on the half-hour. \nThey now sit two points clear at the summit\, while Tipp slip to sixth in a congested table. They are still one point off the promotion places. \nClonmel Commercials corner-back Mark Corcoran was selected for his Premier debut in their only change from victory over Antrim. Four of UL’s Sigerson Cup-winning squad were named to start. \nCarlow’s three changes before throw-in brought their team back to the 15 that defeated Wicklow a fortnight ago. \nBoth keepers were called into action inside two minutes. Mikey Bambrick’s pace cut Tipp open\, not for the last time\, but Shane Garland got down well to save the visiting captain’s shot. \nJack Harney’s coast-to-coast running got him in at the other end\, but Ben McCarron smothered the corner-back’s rushed effort. The keeper did handle the loose ball on the ground to grant Cian Smith a tap-over free. \nAfter Paddy McDonnell’s leveller\, Tipp kicked the next four in a row\, including a wind-assisted Steven O’Brien two-point free. Their kick-out press was also troubling Carlow\, with Smith profiting for a couple of scores. He would end the half on 0-5. \nCarlow were level by the 19th minute. Bambrick created both scores\, laying on the first of three Hulton points before releasing Ross Dunphy in the square. The Éire Óg man\, who has Tipp connections\, was initially denied by Garland and hit the ground\, but managed to punch in the rebound for 0-5 to 1-2. \nTipp soon produced a 1-2 burst. The goal capitalised on a route-one opportunity as O’Brien drifted inside to field Paudie Feehan’s long ball. With the attacking mark advantage\, the Ballina man turned to lash a rocket from the 14-yard line into the bottom corner. \nWhen Feehan was fouled in stealing a Carlow kick-out\, Mark Stokes took the potshot opportunity from outside the arc. It was a credit to the Semple Stadium pitch that the ball was able to bounce and clear the crossbar for an orange flag and a 1-11 to 1-4 lead. \nCarlow took three off that deficit by the break\, with a Conor Crowley score followed by a Blake two-point free; 1-11 to 1-7 at midway. \nThe Barrowsiders continued to nibble away at the gap with points from Hulton\, a Blake free\, and John Murphy. \nBlake almost benefitted from Garland giving away possession off his line\, but the Monaghan native got back to save. \nDespite losing Bambrick to injury\, Carlow caught and passed Tipp after the 50th minute with a pair of Crowley points. A Blake free made it 1-13 to 1-11. \nWhen O’Connor split the posts after 54 minutes\, it wasn’t just Tipp’s first point of the second half\, it was their first shot. A huge Blake orange flag gave Carlow a three-point cushion. \nTipp had the chance to level when Feehan was fouled by Conor Doyle for a penalty. O’Connor fired down the middle\, but McCarron managed to reach back to divert the ball up and over the bar. \nKillian Butler cut the deficit to the minimum\, but Tipp missed their next three chances to equalise. \nMark Furey fluffed a Carlow goal chance\, but Hulton’s fifth point\, sent whizzing just over the bar\, and Blake’s seventh ensured the spoils. \nThey host Waterford on Saturday\, while Tipp travel away to Longford next Sunday. \n\n\nSome action shots from today's game against Carlow in FBD Semple Stadium 📷 Photo Credit: Enda O'Sullivan pic.twitter.com/D3ZvK7i8iJ \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) February 15\, 2026 \n \n\nScorers for Tipperary: S O’Brien (1-2\, 1tpf); C Smith (0-5\, 3 frees); S O’Connor (0-3\, 1 free\, 1 pen); M Stokes (0-2\, tp); D Hogan\, K Butler (0-1 each). \nScorers for Carlow: C Blake (0-7\, 1tpf\, 1tp\, 3 frees); C Hulton (0-5); R Dunphy (1-0); C Crowley (0-3); P McDonnell\, J Murphy (0-1 each). \nTIPPERARY: S Garland; J Harney\, J Morris\, M Corcoran; L Boland\, P Feehan (capt)\, M Stokes; J Higgins\, K Costello; C King\, S O’Brien\, M Freaney; C Smith\, S O’Connor\, D Hogan.\nSubs: JP Mbokha Tansia for Freaney (h-t)\, E Moloney for Boland (49)\, K Butler for King (50)\, D Brennan for O’Brien (58)\, M Russell for Mbokha Tansia (60). \nCARLOW: B McCarron; C Byrne\, D Curran\, L Moore; N Roche\, E Ruth\, P Bolger; M Furey\, C Doyle; P McDonnell\, C Hulton\, M Bambrick (capt); C Crowley\, C Blake\, R Dunphy.\nSubs: J Murphy for Bolger (h-t)\, T Roche for Bambrick (49\, inj)\, S Murphy for Dunphy (52)\, A Burgess for Ruth (69). \nReferee: J Regan (Cork). \n\nTeam News \n\nThe Tipperary Senior Football panel has been named for this Sunday’s Round 3 League clash with Carlow. \nSunday 15th February 2026Allianz Football League Division 4 Round 3Tipperary v Carlowin FBD Semple Stadium @ 2.00 pmReferee: James Regan (Cork) pic.twitter.com/OH5tpTKzGf \n— Tipperary GAA (@TipperaryGAA) February 13\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 2 - Cork 3-15 Offaly 0-19
DESCRIPTION:Cork defeated Offaly by 3-15 to 0-19 in Round 3 of the Allianz Football League Division 2 on Sunday February 15th at Glenisk O’Connor Park Tullamore. \n\n\nIn-form Cork keep winning run going with routine victory over Offaly https://t.co/dTDhPZ1hje \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 15\, 2026 \n \nIn-form Cork keep winning run going with routine victory over Offaly \nReport by John Fogarty courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nOFFALY 0-19 (0-2-15) CORK 3-15 (3-0-15) \nA veritable walk in Glenisk O’Connor Park for Cork who maintained their 100% record in Division 2 with ease. \nStruggling Offaly caused Cork little discomfort and were beaten as early as half-time when they trailed 0-6 to 2-9 having enjoyed the wind advantage. \nA brace of Colm O’Callaghan first-half goals followed by another by Mark Cronin less than four minutes after the interval set Cork up nicely for the visit of fellow high-flying Meath in Páirc Uí Rinn next Sunday. \nCork had made four late changes to their team. Brian Hurley was one of the absentees along with Tommy Walsh\, Brian O’Driscoll and Seán Walsh. The starting line-up was hardly weakened by the introduction of Seán Meehan\, Rory Maguire\, Ian Maguire and Dara Sheedy. \nCaptain Ian Maguire lost the toss and Offaly enjoyed the strong breeze for the first half but it was one of a small number of defeats Cork suffered on the day. They lorded possession in the first half\, helped in no small part by Offaly’s reluctance to put any pressure on them. \nChris Óg Jones scored a point either side of a Cormac Egan two-pointer. Offaly would chance the long-ranger several more times before the break but Keith O’Neill’s effort was the only other one that landed between the sticks. \nDaire McDaid had a meek penalty claim for Offaly in the eighth minute. Referee Seán Lonergan waved it away and up the field Cork went and their attack concluded with a Sheedy point. \nTheir first goal arrived in the 10th minute. The marauding O’Callaghan passed to Jones whose looping hand-pass to his on-running team-mate was perfect as was the Éire Óg’s finish to send Cork into a 1-3 to 0-2 lead. \nIt was the second in a run of five Cork scores without reply. Seán McDonnell and Cronin sent over a point within four minutes of each other and Steven Sherlock then punished a four-back infringement by Offaly. \nO’Neill’s two-pointer in the 21st minute offered sweet but oh so brief relief for Offaly as Sherlock doubled his contribution when he punished a foul on the buzzing Jones. \nMcDonnell spanked the crossbar with a rifling strike in the 26th minute but there was a dividend for Cork soon after when Cronin fisted over a point. \nA brace of Harry Plunkett points\, the second of them for an overcarry by Maurice Shanley\, brought Offaly within five points\, but Cork’s end of the half was rousing. \nSherlock slotted over his first point from play in the 31st minute and O’Callaghan slipped a second goal three minutes later. Jones was again the provider with a hand-pass and Seán Meehan was also involved as Offaly’s cover was again blown wide open. \nA third Cork goal came in the 39th minute. Ian Maguire made a great run to link the move involving Jones and Meehan and Cronin calmly dispatched the ball beyond Conor Melia. \nTwelve points separated the sides before Offaly reeled off three without reply and then Rory Maguire was black carded for a cynical pulldown on Cormac Egan in the 46th minute. \nCork initially rode their 10-minute period well\, going two points ahead. However\, Offaly then reeled off three prior to Rory Maguire’s return to the field. \nA fourth without reply was fisted over by O’Neill and the margin was reduced to seven. An O’Callaghan point arrested Offaly’s momentum but their intensity levels had clearly dropped and the hosts were eating into their deficit. \nPlunkett’s collection of points rose to eight and O’Neill’s to four as Offaly came within six but they were still tripping over themselves and Sherlock and substitute Seán Walsh consolidated Cork’s lead. \nOther than losing the second half\, 1-6 to 0-13\, and perhaps registering no two-pointer (they didn’t attempt one)\, the one concern for Cork on the day was goalkeeper Patrick Doyle having to retire early with a leg injury. \n\n \nDara Sheedy of Cork in action against Marcas Dalton of Offaly during the Allianz Football League Division 2 match between Offaly and Cork at Glenisk O’Connor Park in Tullamore\, Offaly. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2 - Laois 1-18 Kerry 1-17
DESCRIPTION:Laois defeated Kerry by 1-18 to 1-17 in Round 4 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B on Saturday February 21st at Laois Hire O’Moore Park Portlaoise. \n\n\nLast-gasp Laois point leaves 13-man Kerry flattened https://t.co/UqgPLSGo8y \n— Irish Examiner Sport (@ExaminerSport) February 21\, 2026 \n \nLast-gasp Laois point leaves 13-man Kerry flattened \nReport by Murt Murphy courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nNHL Division 2A: Laois 1-18 Kerry 1-17 \nWhen Kerry met Laois last year they were in receipt of a 19-point hammering in the Joe McDonagh Cup. This top-of-the-table Division 2 clash\, played on a heavy sod in O’Moore Park\, was very different\, ultimately decided by a 74th-minute point by Laois substitute Cormac Byrne. \nBy that stage Kerry were down to 13 players as Michael Leane\, harshly\, and Kyle O’Connor\, deserved\, had picked up second yellow cards. But it was tough on Kerry who fought heroically and probably deserved a share of the spoils at least. \nHaving led 0-9 to 0-8 at half time\, Kerry were always in the contest in a hugely physical second half as they came from 0-17 to 0-14 down after 60 minutes to almost pull off a shock result. \nLaois were on a roll as Jack Kelly\, with four second-half points from play\, and three frees from Aaron Dunphy had looked like securing a win for Laois. A 51st-minute second yellow for wing back Leane\, proved the game changer but still the protagonists could not be separated. \nRonan Walsh\, with two points\, closed the gap to the minimum in the 64th minute\, 0-17 to 0-16. Then Kyle O’Connor had to take down Cillian Dunne as he bore down on goal and the result was a second yellow and Padraig Delaney drilled the penalty past Bohane. \nIt was now a four-point game with Kerry down to 13 and the clock was running down. But another Walsh free after a Conway drag down was followed by a long-range free\, which dropped short and was batted down to Oisin Maunsell who drilled the ball to the Laois net for the equalizer. Kerry’s joy was short lived as Laois grabbed that last-gasp winner from Cormac Byrne. \nAaron Dunphy reached and then passed 133 NHL points\, becoming the 12th Laois hurler to do this but he still has some way to go to catch James Young\, who holds the county record\, with 325 points. \nKerry opened brightly playing with the breeze and brought the game to their more vaunted opponents with their inside line of Maunsell\, Michael Slattery and Jordan Conway causing the Laois fullback line problems. \nRonan Walsh converted two early frees for fouls on Slattery and Maunsell but Cillian Dunne responded with a point from play. A Michael Slattery fetch and dish off saw Jordan Conway split the posts. \nBy the 16th minute Laois began to get to grips with their opponents and points from David Dooley and Aaron Dunphy\, closed the gap to the minimum but Kevin Goulding restored the Kingdom’s two-point lead. \nKerry keeper Conor Bohane\, who was born 100 metres from O’Moore Park\, then floated in a long-range free and Maunsell was quickest to react and his goal-bound effort was brilliantly tipped over the bar by keeper Dunne. \nA Tom Doyle free quickly forward and Kerry began to rattle the hosts but Aaron Dunphy steadied the Laois ship with a fine effort from play. \nLaois were now on top with Ryan Mullaney and Dunphy adding points reduced the deficit to a point while Aidan Corby leveled the contest after Bohane at denied Keyes a goal from point blank range as Ronan Walsh ensured Kerry retired 0-9 to 0-8 in front. \nOn the basis of this game\, both sides could meet again in the final. \nScorers for Laois: A Dunphy (0-8\, 7s)\, J Kelly (0-4)\, P Delaney (1-0\, pen)\, D Dooley (0-2)\, R Mullaney\, A Corby\, C Dunne and C Byrne (0-1 each) \nScorers for Kerry: R Walsh (0-10\, 9fs)\, O Maunsell (1-1)\, J Conway (0-2)\, K Goulding\, T Doyle\, M Slattery and G Dooley (0-1 each). \nLAOIS: C Dunne; Padraig Dunne\, I Shanahan\, C Comerford; F C Fennell\, P Delaney\, R Mullaney ; D Dooley\, A Corby; J Keyes\, J Kelly\, A Dunphy; Cillian Dunne\, M Dowling\, T Keyes.\nSubs: L Cleere for P Dunne (57)\, E Gaughan for a Corby\, C Byrne for T Keyes (64)\, C Byrne for M Dowling (71) \nKERRY: C Bohane; E Leen\, S McGrath\, K O’Connor; J O’ Connor\, J Diggins\, M Leane; K Goulding\, R Walsh; T Doyle\, C Walsh\, J Brick; O Maunsell\, M Slattery\, J Conway.\nSubs: G Dooley for C Walsh (32)\, D Casey for M Slattery (67)\, S Foran for J Brick (69)\, A Segal for K Goulding (72) \nReferee: C Flynn (Westmeath) \n\nTeam News \n\n🥎TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Hurling League Div 2 \nKerry travel to Laois for Round 4 of the 2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 2. \nFor full team news: https://t.co/FP7jSv7V9l#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/J9WPjzBSKn \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) February 20\, 2026 \n \n\nManager Tommy Fitzgerald has named his side to face Kerry at home in Laois Hire O'Moore Park this Saturday February 21st at 2pm for Round 4 of the 2026 Allianz National Hurling League Division 2 campaign. \nTicket link: https://t.co/OTCy5afEn3 \nBest of luck to all involved pic.twitter.com/zkbsO02Qcz \n— Laois GAA (@CLGLaois) February 20\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 4 - Carlow 1-26 Waterford 0-15
DESCRIPTION:Carlow defeated Waterford by 1-26 to 0-15 in Round 4 of the Allianz Football League Division 4 on Saturday February 21st at Netwatch Cullen Park. \n\nCarlow crush Waterford to maintain Division 4 win streak \nReport By Kieran Murphy for RTÉ SporT \nCarlow maintained their positive form in Division 4 of the National Football League when they were too good for Waterford at Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday. \nDermot Ryan converted an early 45 for the visitors after the Carlow defence were been stretched and were lucky not to concede a goal. \nIn reply\, Conor Doyle equalised and Colm Hulton landed a two-pointer. Chris Blake also raised a white flag as The Barrowsiders built on their momentum. \nBy the time the only goal of the game came on 23 minutes\, the home side were leading 0-09 to 0-04. \nWhen Sean Murphy powered through the centre of defence he was involved in a quick exchange of passes with Niall Roche\, and the experienced marauder punched home from close range. \nThe home side created further goal chances\, but Conor Crowley and Roche both hit the woodwork. While goals were hard to come by\, Hulton still finished the first half with three two-pointers from play. \nRyan was Waterford’s leading attacker\, ending the half with five points\, which included a two-point free. At the interval\, Carlow led 1-14 to 0-08. \nWaterford scored the opening point of the second half\, with Alan Dunwoody coming forward from deep to find the posts. Carlow were not in full gear at this stage\, but there was never any doubt that they could move up one or two more if they had to. \nWaterford almost scored a goal when Michael O’Brien gathered a Carlow kickout\, but to the relief of the home net-minder\, Ben McCarron\, the ball hopped over the bar for an opportunistic two-pointer. \nAs the game petered out\, substitute\, Darragh Foley converted a Carlow two-pointer. It was easy in the end as the home side outscored their rivals by 0-07 to 0-02 in the final ten minutes. \nCarlow: Ben McCarron; Dara Curran\, Niall Roche\, Lee Moore; Jamie Clarke\, Mark Furey\, Padhraig Bolger; Ian Atkinson\, Eoghan Ruth; Paddy McDonnell (0-01)\, Colm Hulton (0-08\, 3tp)\, Conor Doyle (0-04 1tpf) ; Conor Crowley (0-02)\, Chris Blake (0-08 6f)\, Sean Murphy (1-00).\nSubs: Aaron Amond (0-01) for Murphy (h/t)\, John Murphy for Roche (h/t)\, Tadgh Roche for Ruth (43)\, Liam Gavin for Clarke (53)\, Darragh Foley (0-02\, 1tp) for Bolger (57). \nWaterford: Paudie Hunt; Alan Dunwoody (0-1)\, Billy Hynes\, Conor O Cuirrín; Conor Murray\, Adam Crawford\, Michael O’Brien (0-02\, 1tp); Michael Curry\, Caoimhin Walsh;Tommy Martin\, Aaron Ryan (0-01) Liam Mulligan;Dermot Ryan (0-06 1tpf\, 45′)\, Stephen Curry (0-05\, 2f)\, Darragh Walsh.\nSubs: Adam Murray for Martin (h/t)\, James Walsh for C Walsh (h/t)\, Conor Keating for Ryan (64)\, David Butler for Dunwoody (66). \nReferee: Christopher Ryan (Galway). \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐 Allianz Football League – Div 4 Team Announcement Waterford 🆚 Carlow Saturday\, February 21st 📍 Netwatch Cullen Park\, Carlow 🕐 5:00pm 🎟️ Tickets: https://t.co/XrJc0M0rHo \nNote: ‘Advance ticket sales ONLY at https://t.co/Jf2bs0JmIq or selected Centra & SuperValu stores. pic.twitter.com/9HRsYd3eQP \n— Waterford GAA (@WaterfordGAA) February 20\, 2026 \n \n\n🏆Bainisteoir Joe Murphy has named the @Carlow_GAA team to play Waterford in Allianz League Division 4 in NCP today at 5pm. \n🙏Big support needed as the lads look to maintain their unbeaten start to the League \n🎟️Tickets: https://t.co/BYEGM8D9Fo or usual Centra & SuperValu shops. pic.twitter.com/YvOYMfT8KB \n— Carlow GAA (@Carlow_GAA) February 21\, 2026

Without the suspended Jason Forde\, Cahill gave first starts of the year to Noel McGrath\, Eoghan Connolly\, and Seán Kenneally. \nFor Limerick\, Kyle Hayes returned from a neck injury to make his seasonal bow. He started at seven as William O’Donoghue retained the centre-back slot and captained the side. Behind them\, newlywed full-back Dan Morrissey made his first start of 2026. \n\nPost-Match Interview with Limerick’s William O’Donoghue \n\nWill O'Donoghue said he isn't 'picky' about his position on the pitch and emphasised any past achievements has no bearing on this year's ambitions. 🗣️ \n📺 @rte2 and @rteplayer 📱Updates form all matches https://t.co/iRScXx1Cwo pic.twitter.com/GfK4U2RyUb \n— The Sunday Game (@TheSundayGame) February 21\, 2026 \n \n\nFive of Kiely’s Fitzgibbon Cup contingent were included after scoring a combined 2-26 in UL’s triumph over Mary I. The likes of O’Connor and Shane O’Brien\, who finished with 0-6\, carried in that form to land the opening points. They weren’t alone\, as Limerick unleashed a far more cohesive and intense performance from the outset. \nThey destroyed Tipp with turnovers and were 0-7 to no score ahead by the 11th minute. The hosts didn’t muster a score from play until the 34th minute. \nLimerick’s defensive toughness was evident from the start as Morrissey blocked down a Jake Morris shot. They quickly countered for the first of O’Brien’s three opening-half points. \nPeter Casey and O’Connor raised white flags from the New Stand sideline\, while Adam English was also off the mark when found by O’Brien. \nKenneally was a rare bright spark and he almost jolted Tipp to life when rattling the crossbar after a dozen minutes. Darragh McCarthy had missed his first free\, but would slot his next five for Tipp’s only points of the opening half-hour. \nGearóid Hegarty and Aaron Gillane soon wrote their names onto the scoresheet. Limerick’s hunger was evident when forcing Morris to overcarry in his own half. \nDarragh O’Donovan and English\, scored in quick succession. O’Donovan could’ve added a goal\, but Joe Caesar slid across to block. \nWhen Cathal O’Neill split the posts\, the full set of forwards were up and running. That was part of a five-point streak which stretched the lead out to 0-19 to 0-5. \nTipp rallied in the closing moments. McGrath landed their first from play. Darragh Stakelum\, who was an early substitute for Sam O’Farrell\, got in on goal\, but Nickie Quaid advanced quickly to save. \nKenneally opened his account before gathering Bryan O’Mara’s long delivery and drawing a penalty from Morrissey. McCarthy stepped up only to fire low to the left and wide. It remained 0-20 to 0-7 at half-time. \nAny hopes of a comeback were all but over within seconds of the restart as Connors received a straight red card from referee Colm Lyons for an off-the-ball clash with O’Donovan. \nTipp did raise their efforts\, led by their veteran warrior McGrath. The 35-year-old reeled off five points to take his tally to 0-6. Defender Keith Ryan also landed one on his debut. \nTen points was the closest they got before Limerick responded with three in a row to quell the home resilience. Tom Morrissey and Donnacha Ó Dálaigh clipped two each off the bench\, while Mike Casey came forward from defence for one. \nLimerick visit Offaly next Sunday\, while Tipp get a bye week before travelling to Waterford. \n\n \nCathal O’Neill of Limerick in action against Joe Caesar of Tipperary during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1A match between Tipperary and Limerick at FBD Semple Stadium in Thurles\, Tipperary. SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Hurling League Division 1B - Clare 0-27 Kildare 3-14
DESCRIPTION:Clare defeated Kildare by 0-27 to 3-14 in Round 4 of the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B on Saturday February 21st at Cedral St Conleth’s Newbridge. \n\n\nREPORT: @GaaClare overcame a spirited @KildareGAA outfit in the Allianz Hurling League #GAA ⬇️https://t.co/LXYU4jpKLF \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 21\, 2026 \n \nAllianz HL D1B: Clare survive tricky Kildare test \nClare 0-27 Kildare 3-14 \nReport By Ger McNally at Cedral St Conleth’s Park for GAA.ie \nClare eventually saw off Kildare on a horrendous evening for hurling at Cedral St Conleth’s Park\, but only after they were pushed to the pin of their collar. \nThe 2024 All-Ireland winners had beaten Down by 29 points in their last outing\, but from the very early moments of this game it was obvious that Kildare were not going to be brushed aside in similar fashion. \nIndeed\, they took control of the game early on with goals from Cathal McCabe and Jack Sheridan inside the opening 12 minutes. Sheridan’s effort encapsulated the quality of Kildare’s hurling throughout the evening\, as the Naas man finished off a move that cut through the Clare backline\, with Gerry Keegan providing the final pass. \nThe visitors\, backed by an enthusiastic and sizeable travelling support\, had their goal chances too\, but Shane Meehan\, after 20 minutes\, and Tony Kelly\, 12 minutes later\, were both denied by Kildare goalkeeper Paddy McKenna from similar positions. \nKildare led 2-8 to 0-12 at half-time\, and points from Sheridan and Muiris Curtin after the restart extended their advantage. \nGradually\, however\, Clare began to get on top\, with each of their substitutes making a significant impact. Tony Kelly bookended a run of four points for his team as part of his total of eight\, bringing Clare level in the 46th minute. \nGerry Keegan replied for Kildare before two points from substitute Cathal Malone put Clare ahead for the first time since the fifth minute as the game entered the final 20 minutes. \nAnother spell of six points in a row proved decisive for the Banner County\, but rather than buckle under the onslaught\, Kildare hit back with points from Sheridan and the excellent David Qualter. They then grabbed a consolation goal in injury-time when Sheridan blasted a 20‑metre effort to the net. \nThe result leaves Clare well positioned with four wins from four\, but the performance will give Kildare great confidence ahead of crucial upcoming games against Down and Carlow. \n\n \nMuiris Curtin of Kildare in action against David McInerney of Clare during the Allianz Hurling League Division 1B match between Kildare and Clare at Cedral St Conleth’s Park in Newbridge\, Kildare. Photo by David Fitzgerald/Sportsfile \n\n\nMark O’Shea was man of the match at midfield and the return of Paudie Clifford and Tom O’Sullivan bodes well with 0-3 between the two subs. \nStruggling Dublin raised a gallop late on with a Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne goal five minutes from time cutting the gap to three points. \nBut late scores from O’Sullivan and Seán O’Shea sealed it for Kerry who will face Monaghan next weekend in Killarney. \nAs for Dublin\, their third loss from four outings means they’re stuck in a relegation battle and will feel they must beat Roscommon in Round 5. \nKerry went with just seven of their All-Ireland final team though the introductions of Paudie Clifford and O’Sullivan from the bench\, for their first activity of 2026\, strengthened their hand considerably. \nThe Kingdom twice opened up big first-half leads on Dublin\, firstly surging 0-7 to 0-2 ahead and then 0-9 to 0-3 approaching the half hour. \nTwo-pointers from Sean O’Shea\, the very first score of the game\, and David Clifford helped the Munster champions to build up a big lead. \nTony Brosnan\, Graham O’Sullivan and Cillian Trant were on the mark too with singles as Jack O’Connor’s side asserted their superiority. \nGoalscsorer Ó Cofaigh Byrne was a late addition to the Dublin team in place of Luke Breathnach and enjoyed his first start of the season at midfield. \nBut it was old reliables Ciaran Kilkenny and O’Callaghan that hauled Dublin back into it\, a 28th minute Kilkenny two-pointer followed by an O’Callaghan point from a free. \nThat was O’Callaghan’s third score of the half\, all from placed balls\, but also his last as he made way at half time due to an apparent hamstring tweak. \nKerry deserved their 0-9 to 0-6 interval lead and extended the lead back out to four with third quarter scores from David Clifford and Brosnan. \nThe latter should have struck for a goal in the 49th minute when Kerry turned over a Dublin kick-out\, allowing Paudie Clifford to play in Brosnan. \nBut the Dr Crokes attacker opened out his body and slotted his left footed kick just beyond Evan Comerford’s far post. \nTwo minutes later\, he wasn’t as wasteful. Once again\, his goal opportunity came from Kerry winning a Dublin kick-out\, David Clifford this time hand-passing over the top for the onrushing Brosnan to strike to the net. \nKerry’s 1-12 to 0-08 lead didn’t flatter them with a brilliant Jason Foley block on Quigley summing up their strength at either end of the pitch. \nDublin have been playing in patches so far in the League and crafted another purple patch in the closing 10 minutes to give themselves some hope. \nPaddy Small landed a two-pointer and then Kilkenny set Seán Bugler free who was able to pick out Ó Cofaigh Byrne for a 65th minute goal. \nFrom nowhere\, Dublin were suddenly just three points behind again. Ó Cofaigh Byrne had two more half attempts for goals but couldn’t get a shot away while sub Breathnach palmed a goal chance straight at the goalkeeper. \nKerry scorers: Tony Brosnan 1-2\, David Clifford 0-4 (1 tp\, 0-1f)\, Sean O’Shea 0-4 (2 tp)\, Tom O’Sullivan 0-2 Cillian Trant 0-1\, Graham O’Sullivan 0-1\, Tadhg Morley 0-1\, Paudie Clifford 0-1. \nDublin scorers: Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne 1-0\, Con O’Callaghan 0-3 (0-2f\, 0-1 45)\, Paddy Small 0-3 (1 tp)\, Ciarán Kilkenny 0-2 (tp)\, Ross McGarry 0-1\, Niall Scully 0-1. \nKerry: Shane Murphy; Evan Looney\, Jason Foley\, Dylan Casey; Armin Heinrich\, Tadhg Morley\, Graham O’Sullivan; Joe O’Connor\, Mark O’Shea; Cillian Trant\, Seán O’Shea\, Micheál Burns; Tony Brosnan\, David Clifford\, Keith Evans.\nSubs: Paul Murphy for Looney h/t\, Paudie Clifford for Burns h/t\, Tom O’Sullivan for Graham O’Sullivan 54\, Donagh O’Sullivan for Trant 54\, Liam Smith for Mark O’Shea 63. \nDublin: Evan Comerford\, Eoin Murchan\, Nathan Doran\, David Byrne; Seán Bugler\, Charlie McMorrow\, Alex Gavin; Brian Howard\, Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne; Ross McGarry\, Ciarán Kilkenny\, Niall Scully; Paddy Small\, Con O’Callaghan\, Lorcan O’Dell.\nSubs: Seán MacMahon for Doran 33\, Joe Quigley for O’Callaghan h/t\, Luke Breathnach for O’Dell 43\, Killian McGinnis for McGarry 45\, Conor Tyrrell for Gavin 62. \nReferee: Paddy Neilan (Roscommon). \n\nMatch Highlights \n\nFT in Allianz Football League Div 1@DubGAAOfficial 1-10@Kerry_Official 1-16Watch the highlights here 🎥👉#AllianzLeagues #DUBvKER pic.twitter.com/Y0sXBOcjDW \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) February 21\, 2026 \n \n\nFixture Details \n21 February\n2026 Allianz Football League Roinn 1 Round 4\nPáirc an Chrócaigh 19:00\nÁth Cliath v Ciarraí TG4\nReferee: Paddy Neilan\, Ros Comáin \n\nTeam News \n\n🏐TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | Allianz Football League Div 1 \nKerry play Dublin tomorrow at 7pm in Croke Park \nFor full team news: https://t.co/tUpwUoR1Mx#WeAreKerry #CiarraíAbú pic.twitter.com/t2f9NJCbgO \n— Kerry GAA (@Kerry_Official) February 20\, 2026 \n \n\nGer Brennan has named his Dublin Senior Football panel for Saturday's clash with Kerry at Croke Park 👕#UpTheDubs pic.twitter.com/jHJC2rmybX \n— Dublin GAA (@DubGAAOfficial) February 20\, 2026 \n \n\nMatch Coverage \nThis gave will be shown live on TG4. \n\nDé Sathairn seo ar #GAABEO \nAr ais chuig Páirc an Chrócaigh\, beidh Áth Cliath ag tabhairt aghaidh ar Chiarraí 🙌 \nA tale as old as time\, Dublin face Kerry this Saturday LIVE on TG4 🏐 \nBEO @ 18:45@DubGAAOfficial v @Kerry_Official @officialgaa @SportTG4 pic.twitter.com/Rsz3RlcD6B \n— GAA BEO (@GAA_BEO) February 19\, 2026

SUMMARY:2026 Allianz Football League Division 3 - Sligo 1-18 Limerick 1-15
DESCRIPTION:Sligo defeated Limerick by 1-18 to 1-15 in Round 4 of the Allianz Football League Division 3 on Sunday February 22nd at Markievicz Park\, Sligo. \n\nLally and red-hot Murphy fire Sligo past Limerick and back into the mix \nReport by Liam Maloney courtesy of the Irish Examiner newspaper \nAllianz Football League Division Three: Sligo 1-18 Limerick 1-15 \nCian Lally’s polished goal after 20 seconds\, as well as half a dozen points from talisman Niall Murphy\, revived Sligo’s Division Three campaign as they overcame 14-man Limerick by three points\, 1-18 to 1-15\, in a see-saw encounter at Markievicz Park. \nBut battling Limerick\, who have now only won one of their opening four games\, will rue that they didn’t take at least a draw from the Sligo town venue. \nSean Clancy’s 50th-minute sending off – he was shown a black card to add to a yellow card earlier in the second-half – was a major blow for the visitors\, who were inspired by seven points from excellent full-forward James Naughton. \nWing-forward Eliah O’Riordan bagged a hat-trick of two-pointer frees for Jimmy Lee’s side\, who were denied two goals in the second-half. Sligo goalkeeper Aidan Devaney saved substitute Peter Nash’s effort and Cillian Fahy’s flick was goalbound only for defender Jack Lavin’s goal-line clearance. \nLimerick\, who were four points down at half-time\, 1-10 1-6\, ensured it would be a nervy finish for Sligo when James Naughton’s 68th-minute free cut the difference to two points\, 1-17 to 1-15. \nBut Sligo wrapped up a merited win with a converted free from Murphy\, who was the winners’ main scorer along with goalscorer Lally (1-2) and Alan McLoughlin (0-4). \nLally’s early goal had set up the hosts for a generally positive first-half\, one in which Murphy scored 0-4 and Lally supplied a two-pointer from play. \nLearn more\nLimerick\, however\, were back in the mix when Danny Neville goaled with aplomb following a 14th-minute turnover on a Sligo restart. \nThat score reduced Sligo’s advantage to a point\, 1-6 to 1-5\, but the breeze-assisted hosts\, much improved compared to their loss away to Laois\, pushed on to lead at the break. \nScorers for Sligo: Niall Murphy 0-6 (3f)\, Cian Lally 1-2 (1tp)\, Alan McLoughlin 0-4 (2f)\, Luke Towey 0-1\, Ross Doherty 0-1\, Canice Mulligan 0-1\, Kyle Cawley 0-1\, Joshua Flynn 0-1\, Shane Deignan 0-1 \nScorers for Limerick: James Naughton 0-7 (2f\, 1tp)\, Eliah O’Riordan 0-6 (3tpf)\, Danny Neville 1-0\, Barry Coleman 0-1\, Peter Nash 0-1 (1f) \nSligo: A Devaney\, T Ross\, E Lyons\, L Casserly\, L Towey\, J Lavin\, R Doherty\, C Mulligan\, G Gorman\, C Sheridan\, A McLoughlin\, K Cawley\, C Lally\, N Murphy\, J Flynn Subs used: D O’Boyle for L Casserly\, 25 (‘blood’ sub)\, L Deignan for K Cawley\, 47; L Gilmartin for R Doherty\, 54; S Deignan for J Flynn\, 57 \nLimerick: J Alfred\, J Hassett\, C McSweeney\, O Collins\, D Buckley\, K Ryan\, T McCarthy\, B Coleman\, C Fahy\, P Maher\, D Neville\, E O’Riordan\, S Clancy\, J Naughton\, R Childs Subs used: P Nash for C McSweeney\, h-t; J McCarthy for P Maher\, h-t; M McCarthy for B Coleman\, h-t; A Meade for O Collins 62 \nReferee: Enda McFeely (Donegal)
