DESCRIPTION:St. Catherine’s (Cork) defeated Ardmore (Waterford) by 2-16 to 1-11 in the AIB Munster GAA Club Junior Hurling Championship Quarter-Final on Saturday November 4th at Fraher Field Dungarvan. \n\nMatch Highlights \n\nHIGHLIGHTS | @StCatherinesGAA impress as they pick up eight-point win over @ArdmoreGAA to progress to Munster Club JHC semi-final. @streamsporti | @AIB_GAA https://t.co/PKULZN5Ol2 \n— Munster GAA (@MunsterGAA) November 4\, 2023 \n  \n\nMunster Club SHC: Good second-half display sees St Catherine’s through \nSt Catherine’s 2-16 Ardmore (Waterford) 1-11 \nReport by Denis Hurley for the Echo newspaper \nSt Catherine’s bounced back from their county Premier JHC loss to overcome Ardmore at Fraher Field in Saturday’s AIB Munster Club JHC quarter-final. \nBeaten by Erin’s Own’s second team in the county final\, the Ballynoe side had to face the only non-Cork Munster junior champions of the last nine years but they showed impressive battling qualities and no little skill\, especially in the second half. \nHaving retired with a 0-10 to 0-6 lead after a strong finish to the first half\, Catherine’s – without the injured Daniel Mangan – expected a stiff test in the second half\, not least as they had played with the wind in the opening period. \nWhile a Séamus Keating free for Ardmore on the resumption was followed a good point from his brother Ciaráin to reduce the lead to two\, Catherine’s were able to produce a good response. When midfielder Kyle Wallace found Eoin Condon with a good pass\, he turned his marker to create space but was forced wide before his low shot was saved by Jack Walsh. \nSeán O’Donoghue ensured the ball stayed alive in the goalmouth though\, allowing Matthew Mulcahy to send the loose ball to the net. \nWith goalkeeper Eoin Davis sent over his third free\, a free from halfway\, they were six to the good\, the biggest lead of the game up to then. They were also helped by the fact that the wind had weakened considerably. \nArdmore kept plugging away and rewarded with a goal. Wing-forward John O’Brien was the architect with a powerful run up the right flank and his handpass allowed James Flavin to fire home on 42\, leaving it 1-12 to 1-9. \nOnce again\, Catherine’s stayed composed and Brian Mulcahy’s superb point was followed by another Davis free from distance. Séamus Keating\, Ardmore’s scorer-in-chief\, did end 12 scoreless minutes with a free and followed that with another to leave just a goal in it again\, 1-14 to 1-11\, with four minutes of normal time left. \nHowever\, Catherine’s gunned for the line as Seán O’Donoghue (free) and sub Nathan Sheehan eased them five clear before Brian Mulcahy made sure of the win with an outstanding goal. Sheehan was the creator after a good win around midfield and he found Mulcahy in the right corner. Having held possession as goalkeeper Walsh came off his line\, the attacker found the net with a brilliantly placed shot. \nThat eradicated any doubts about the outcome of a game that had seemed finely poised in the first half. With Séamus Keating on form from frees – they didn’t have a until the 48th minute – and Declan Prendergast doing well as a sweeper\, Ardmore led for a good deal of the half before Catherine’s scored six of the last seven points\, with Brian Mulcahy profiting from a lovely flick by his cousin Matthew while O’Donoghue added a free and Davis sent one over from his own 65 to give them that four-point interval advantage. At times they had a comfortable margin but failed to push on\, instead squandering their advantage to leave a nervy finish at the Ballyseedy venue. \nWith a double-figure wide count for each side\, the elements in John Mitchels certainly made life tricky\, underfoot conditions saw both struggle at times to hold onto possession. \nParnells notched the opening score through a Gearoid O’Doherty free; by the quarter’s end however Meehan had the flag raised three times\, after Oisín McMahon had leveled the tie moments earlier. \nBanner started to take control\, leading 0-4 to 0-1\, but an accumulation of wides saw them unable to pull further ahead. In the final minutes of the half the contest sprung to life\, Meehan covered a short free before Darragh Reen and Doherty left one between the teams at the interval\, 0-5 to 0-4. \nNa Gaeil footballer Reen levelled the contest minutes into the second half but Banner once again took control. Tomas Meenaghan and Meehan kick-starting an early purple patch. They increased their lead when Meehan was fouled inside the square by Luke Chester and the full forward was composed to send the resulting penalty into the bottom left corner past Mark Ryall. \nThe lead was out to five and the Clare champions looked comfortable\, Parnells however were not throwing in the towel and two Doherty frees and another effort from Reen cut the gap to two (1-7 to 0-8) at the end of the third quarter. \nMeehan was just different class throughout the contest and when Banner needed their talisman in the full forward line he delivered. Though he was well shackled only managing just one from play\, he struck over a 65 and two further frees. Banner were ahead 1-10 to 0-8 approaching the hour mark. \nBut there was still time for some late drama\, Oisín O’Brien and Na Gaeil footballer and Kerry senior hurler Morgan Madden added points in additional time to cut the gap to three. It turned into a nervy finish for Banner as the Tralee outfit worked hard to score a crucial late goal. Then Diarmuid Cahill cut a swathe through the heart of the Lorrha defence and finished low to Michael Kennedy’s left for the Clare side’s second goal on the 40-minute mark. \nLorrha’s challenge was beginning to wane and Corofin showed no mercy with three points on the bounce from Gearoid Cahill firing the Clare champions into a fully deserved eight-point lead. \nTwo further efforts from Colm Fogarty from placed balls and an impressive Eoin McIntyre point from range edged Lorrha closer. But the Tipperary champions were dealt a late blow when Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher somewhat harshly saw red following an off the ball altercation on 58 minutes. \nCorofin capped a fine display with a third Diarmuid Cahill goal on full-time to make it a fully deserved ten-point win for the Joe Cahill coached side. \n“Coming down here we knew it was going to be a massive challenge. We knew our stats at half-time were not where we wanted them to be and we spoke to the players. They really energized themselves for the second half. We have a massive group here and every one of them are leaders\, ” Cahill said. \n“We got a great start and we have seven guys out there that are playing their 28th weekend in a row. There is an awful difference between fitness and match fitness and we had match fitness in abundance. That’s what really won it for us. They didn’t manage to put two scores together all day without a Ballygunner response. \nThe 10-in-a-row Waterford champions’ return from an eight-week break was managed with customary ease. They burst out of the traps by racing into a 1-4 to 0-1 lead in front of 2\,596 spectators at Walsh Park. \nWhile Sarsfields stuck by their short puck-outs\, the Gunners used the wind at their backs to bombard the opposition full-back line. Stephen O’Keeffe launched four long in a row and the first resulted in a goal. \nIt was all too easy as Hutchinson won the ball uncontested and Hogan was all alone to finish to the net. \nPatrick Fitzgerald and Hutchinson would add points direct from long puck-outs and Hutchinson almost had a goal from another Garryowen\, but Conor O’Sullivan got himself in the way. \nAaron Myers struck five points to keep Sars alive\, but they could never thread a pair of scores together without a Ballygunner response in between. \nBarry Coughlan and Philip Mahony were in dominant form and all six forwards were on the board by half-time\, led by Pauric Mahony (0-4\, 3 frees) and Hutchinson (0-3). \nIt was Sarsfields’ turn to launch a few long on the restart but as the rain bucketed down\, the wind weakened. Before long\, they had abandoned their sweeper to give chase but they would be outscored by 1-8 to 0-3 in the second period. \nColm McCarthy’s final act before being withdrawn was to force O’Keeffe into a save\, while Cian Darcy and Daniel Hogan brought their spread of scorers to four players. \nBallygunner held them at arm’s length as Fitzgerald brought his tally to 0-5. They ruthlessly punished Adare mistakes and locked the back door in a strong defensive showing in a rain soaked TUS Gaelic Grounds. Man-of-the-Match Eoin Hurley held his nerve with frees\, while also netting twice to claim the Fr. Casey Cup. \nIt is a first three-in-a-row on Shannonside since 1973 – 1975\, which was achieved by Treaty Sarsfields. Indeed\, since that time\, Newcastle West have won all seven of their titles\, with only Claughaun\, with eight have won more in that 50-year period. \nA brace of goals from Hurley\, as well as Bryan Nix green flag meant that Adare chased this game for the entirety of the second half. Clonmel Commercials will provide the opposition next weekend\, in the Munster Senior Club Championship\, in a repeat of last years semi-final\, won by the Limerick men. \nAfter suffering the same fate three years on the bounce\, runners-up Adare will rue this one most\, as they controlled the opening half until turnovers cost them a potential interval lead. \nFollowing a slow start by Adare\, they would kick five points on the bounce\, all without missing. In fact\, the first half saw just one wide\, which arrived inside two minutes from Newcastle West captain\, Iain Corbett. \nHurley curled over the opening score\, a free\, after six minutes. John Brudair’s men were unable to get anything going as they struggled with the wet ball in the opening exchanged. \nHowever\, Adare’s accuracy was prominent between the 10th and 20th minute. They fired over six points including memorable efforts from Huge Bourke from range\, Ronan Connolly from a near impossible angle and David Connolly’s point after a sustained period. Newcastle West looked lost\, toothless and devoid of ideas but they got a foothold when Hurley landed a second free. \nThis was on the 45\, but was brought forward after dissent. The gap was back to just a point\, 1-2 to 0-6 when the Magpies netted their first goal. Mike McMahon didn’t connect with an effort from 25 meters only for Hurley to palm to the net from the edge of the square. \nAdare tied the game for the second time\, when Bourke got his fourth early in the second half but Bryan Nix immediately netted a third major for the champions. A poor pass across their half-back line was red by Corbett – he fed Nix who drilled low to the corner. \nAdare were staying in touch with frees\, as Bourke’s accuracy cut the gap to two after forty-five minutes. The rain\, which fell heavily in the second half spoiled the quality of the contest somewhat\, with Jimmy Lee’s side able to sit off with the lead they held. The slippery ball made for plenty of turnovers but there little getting beyond a well-drilled Newcastle West rearguard. \nNewcastle West lost Corbett to a hamstring complaint with a quarter of the game remaining\, an injury he picked up in the build up to the goal at the end of the first half. The captain would return to the field in the closing stages to help see out the game. His side didn’t concede from play in the second half. \nWith 58 played\, Bourke curled a free off the post\, which bounced clear of the goal. Newcastle West countered and won a free which match winner Hurley nailed as the game entered five additional minutes. They were never seriously threatened once Liam Wall netted for them after 10 minutes to put them 1-3 to 0-2 ahead. Sharper\, fitter and oozing confidence in possession\, they hit 1-5 without reply in a 13 minutes spell from the 7th to the 20th minutes and by half-time their advantage was 1-11 to 1-2. \nTwin strikers Sean Warren and Liam Wall were a real thorn in the side of the Sean Treacys team\, Warren bagging 0-5 in the first half\, three from frees with Wall contributing 1-2 to the Kilmurry tally. Patrick Deegan got Treacys goal after 21 minutes to briefly raise their hopes but Kilmurry stayed comfortably in charge to the break\, hitting four points without reply. \nThere was really no way back for Sean Treacys in the second half and while they battled games\, the game was finally put well beyond their reach when Sean Warren hit Kilmurry’s second goal in the 42nd minute for a 2-13 to 1-3 lead. \nThat score afforded the Kilmurry management the opportunity to empty their bench in the closing stages with their semi-final spot safely secured. \nThis was a most impressive showing by Kilmurry who were on top in all sectors. While Liam Wall and Sean Warren took the scoring honours the contributions of such as James O Mullane\, Kyle Kelleher\, William Ronan and Kevin Barrett were also immense as Kilmurry chase the Munster title that eluded them last year. \nSean Treacys were no match for their rivals but never gave up trying even when the game was well out of their reach. And\, they had designs on doing the same again this time round\, though the unavailability of star attacker Iain Corbett was a big blow to them. \nCommercials had gotten off to a flier with a fine Sean O’Connor goal after just two minutes. Colman Kennedy followed up with a point for the Clonmel outfit\, but by the time they managed another score – 25 minutes later – Newcastle West had found their range. \nThough guilty of a number of wides\, Newcastle West had points from Eoin Hurley (2 frees) and Bryan Nix to come within a point of the hosts. However\, a Kevin Fahey point right at the stroke of the half time whistle ensured that Commercials would have a 1-2 to 0-3 interval advantage. \nWing forward Peter McGarry had been black carded for the Clonmel men\, but he would be back in action within two minutes of the re-start. \nScores were at a premium in the second half as well and when Michael Quinlivan and Kevin Fahey kicked two points for Commercials to send them four clear\, the feeling was that the Limerick team would need a goal if they were to get back into the game. And\, they didn’t look like they could get a goal\, with Tipperary senior hurling defender Seamus Kennedy doing a mighty job for Commercials at the heart of their defence. \nEmmet Rigter and Jack Kennedy traded points with Thomas Quilligan adding another for Newcastle West. DESCRIPTION:Crotta O’Neills (Kerry) defeated Ferrybank (Waterford) by 1-22 to 2-13 in the AIB Munster GAA Club Intermediate Hurling Championship Quarter-Final on Sunday November 12th at Ballyagran. \n\nMatch Highlights \n\nHIGHLIGHTS | @CrottaGAA progress to Munster Club IHC semi-final with victory over @FerrybankGAA. @streamsporti | @aib_gaa https://t.co/rJmsdnb7dC \n— Munster GAA (@MunsterGAA) November 12\, 2023 \n  \n\nShane Nolan leads the way as Crotta lead Ferrybank a merry dance \nMunster Intermediate Club Hurling Quarter-Final: Crotta O’Neill’s (Kerry) 1-22 Ferrybank 2-13 (Waterford) \nReport by Mortimer Murphy for the Irish Examiner newspaper \nCrotta O’Neill’s produced a convincing performance inspired by the marksmanship of Kerry veteran Shane Nolan\, who notched 0-11 to book a Munster Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi-Final. \nFor the first time since 1968 Crotta were in Munster Championship action. Some terrific performances by Nolan\, Jordan Conway\, Cillian Trant\, Rory and Barry O’Mahony helped the North Kerry club into the penultimate phase of the contest. \nLeading 1-12 to 1-6 at the short whistle\, they laid the foundations well in the opening period. Despite the best efforts of Mark O’Brien\, who also converted 0-11\, and a late Daryl Griffin goal Ferrybank never looked like prevailing. Needless to say Crotta are a Kerry senior club laced with lads who have or are wearing the green and gold while Ferrybank are at intermediate level in Waterford. \nCrotta took the early advantage with a terrific Darragh O’Donoghue effort aswell as a long-range Shane Nolan free\, giving the Kerry side a two point lead. One minute later the green flag was raised\, but fortuitously. \nLuke Flynn fired long for the square but somehow his effort landed in the Crotta net as Adam O’Sullivan looked to have the sun hinder his vision. \nWhile the lead changed hands twice prior to the ninth-minute mark it was Jordan Conway and Nolan that gave Crotta the edge. Terrific work rate by Sean Weir and Jeaic McKenna brought a goal after ten minutes. \nWeir and McKenna forced a turnover\, Weir had two Ferrybank men for company as he raced forward\, McKenna made the inverted run and having received the pass\, fired to the net for a 1-5 to 1-1 lead after ten minutes. \nMark O’Brien was a talisman from the frees for the Waterford outfit playing with the breeze in the opening half\, he cut the gap to two approaching the end of the first quarter but Conway scored another beautiful point to put three between the sides. \nBy the twenty-minute mark\, Crotta built up a 1-9 to 1-3 lead as two from Conway and a Sean Weir effort had the wind in the sails of the Kerry Champions. Nolan and Conway were orchestrating the Crotta attack\, five points each by the end of the opening half. O’Brien added a fourth free at the death to leave the score 1-12 to 1-06 as the sides headed for the dressing rooms. \nCrotta lacked a little bit of proficiency early in the second half and a double from O’Brien coming from frees\, helped reduce the gap to four. Nolan\, a spiritual figure in the Kilflynn parish\, was continuing to inspire his side. \nForcing Cormac O’Driscoll into a stunning save to prevent a second goal\, he converted the resulting 65 and two frees that followed\, by the end of the third quarter Crotta were ahead 1-10 to 1-18\, as Rory Mahony and O’Donoghue found the black spot with inspirational efforts. \nO’Brien and Nolan were having a terrific battle on the free-taking front\, as O’Brien was cutting the deficit at one end for Ferrybank. Nolan was increasing the advantage at the other and with three left on the clock he struck his eleventh point for a 1-21 to 1-12 lead. \nDaryl Griffin struck a goal late in stoppage time\, by that stage however the outcome was assured that Crotta would be advancing and a late point by Jordan Conway capped off a terrific solo performance in this Quarter-Final tie. In front of a large attendance\, their open style of football proved too strong for the Clare champions. \nIt is a month since Kilmihil claimed county success\, and it appeared the long lay-off didn’t suit\, as they were outplayed by the Gaeltacht side. \nThe John Evans coached team welcomed back the suspended Tadhg Ó Corcora and he was given the task of curtailing Kilmihil danger man Ciarán Downes. \nIn attack\, Dan Ó Duinnín showed the way for the winners\, he scored nine points – six from play – before being withdrawn in the second-half. He also made an incisive run deep alongside his brother Ciarán\, who confidently finished a 20th minute goal that effectively killed off this as a contest. \nThe only green flag of the game enabled them lead 1-9 to 0-5 at the break\, with six different scorers on the board\, whilst Kilmihil were reliant on Downes. \nKilmihil\, with the breeze at their backs\, tried to make a game of it in the second-half\, quick-fire points from David Lernihan and Martin O’Leary reduced the deficit. \nBut it only spurred on the home side with a big local support\, as they got back on the scoring track straight away. They kicked eight straight points\, while keeping the visitors scoreless for the remainder of the hour\, plus. \nFour of those from Dan Ó Duinnín\, Micheál Ó Deasúna got two and there was one each by the hero from the county final two weeks’ ago Shane Ó Duinnín and Damien Ó hUrdail. \nIt didn’t help Kilmihil’s cause that Dan Keating received a straight red card in the second-half\, meaning his teammates played the final 20 minutes a man down. \nKerry native John Evans and his management team will be interesting spectators at next Sunday’s Kerry IFC final\, as they await the winners between Fossa and Milltown-Castlemaine. Time and time again they swarmed the Affane player in possession and overturned the ball with a ravenous desire.  \nAt half time the men in green led seven points to three but one wondered would this lead be enough such was the strength of the wind. It in fact was more than enough as the home side had heroic displays all over the field.  \nThey just seemed to want it more and with little or no regard for their own bodies they flung themselves into every challenge as if it was the last ball.  \nThere was a pivotal moment in the 49th minute when keeper Cian Corry denied Aaron O’Sullivan what would have been a huge green flag with a point-blank save but in truth\, this would have been very harsh on Killimer who fought valiantly throughout. \nIt took six minutes for the opening score when Mikey Kelleher kicked a peach.  \nThree more points quickly followed from Jack Kelleher\, player of the match Colm Pyne and a beauty from the outside of the boot from Keith Hassett to give Killimer a four point cushion.  \nThe impressive Gavin Fives got Affane off the mark in the 13th minute before Mikey Kelleher and a Colm Pyne beauty off his left peg extended the Clare teams lead.  \nTwo points in succession had the Waterford champions in a firm control approaching the interval. \nUpon the resumption of play\, Killimer showed their intent by winning the throw-in and attacking immediately. Coleman then put them in front for the first time on nine minutes. \nIt was back and forth for much of the first half with Meehan and Fiachra Hayes on target after John O’Gorman’s excellent score for Feenagh-Kilmeedy from the left touchline. \nNeither side were able to go more than one point in front with Coleman in top form from placed balls and from play. On the other side\, Meehan\, hampered by a right shoulder injury\, kept the Banner in touch. \nFitzgibbon had Feenagh-Kilmeedy in front heading up to half time but Meehan again was on target for his side with the break coming with the sides level at 0-10 each. \nColeman was first off the mark in the second half but Sean McMahon was soon on target to level the contest for a ninth time. They were to be level twice more as the game heading into the final quarter. \nThe Feenagh-Kilmeedy freetaker made it 0-14 to 0-13 with another free and made it a two point game 11 minutes from time. A Niall Walsh placed ball kept the Banner within reach but Coleman put his side two up once more with five minutes to play. \nTwo more from Coleman saw Feenagh-Kilmeedy four up in added time but a Walsh free gave the Banner hope. Just a point in front at the break\, 0-8 to 0-7\, the green flags set the tone\, and at the end\, Denis Walsh’s charges were fully deserving of their 12-point win. \nThe final will be against Feenagh-Kilmeedy of Limerick the first weekend in December. \nSt Catherine’s had the benefit of an away quarter-final win over Ardmore (2-16 to 1-11) two weeks ago. DESCRIPTION:The 2023 All-Ireland Scór Sinsear Final took place on Saturday November 18th at the INEC Killarney. \n\nIt was a proud day for Munster in the Kingdom at the All-Ireland Scór Sinsir Final and claimed three titles with wins for Cork\, Limerick\, and Kerry. It was a fantastic day for the province with a successful hosting of the Scór Sinsir final for the first time since 2016 and complemented by superb performances from our Munster representatives. \nCathaoirleach CLG Comhairle na Mumhan Gearóid Ó Riain was in attendance and presented the cups and medals to the newly crowned All-Ireland Champions. \nSráid an Mhuilinn sampled success for Cork by winning the Tráth na gCeist following a close scoring competition. This was the club’s first Scór Sinsir Tráth na gCeist title since 2001. The Rebel County club edged out Eadain Doire\, Uíbh Fhailí agus Cnoc na hEaglaise\, Ciarraí who finished in 2nd and 3rd places respectively following the conclusion of the on-stage individual questions. \nRita Uí Ghráda brought the Aithriseoireacht cup to the Treaty county. Rita from Monagea captivated the audience with the piece ‘Caoineadh Airt Uí Laoghaire’ by Eibhlín Dubh Ní Chonaill and captured Limerick’s first Aithriseoireacht title since Michael Shinnors from Patrickwell in 2008. \nAn Spá from the Kingdom danced their way to glory in the Rince Seit following their rhythmic performance of the Lackyle Set. While this is the East Kerry club’s first All-Ireland Scór Sinsir Rince Seit title since 2008\, they completed a famous ‘double’ where they are proud holders of All-Ireland Rince Seit titles in Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsir this year. \nThis year’s Munster recipient of the Scór Long Service Award was Bill Harte from Carbery Rangers GAA club in Cork. Bill has been an instrumental figure in Scór since its inception. Bill has been to the forefront when his club have been victorious at divisional level in Carbery and has been to every corner of the country supporting Carbery Rangers on the National stage. 2018 proved to be an extra special year for Bill when Carbery Rangers claimed the Bailéad Ghrúpa titles in Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsir in Sligo. DESCRIPTION:Corofin (Clare) defeated Dromin-Athlacca (Limerick) by 1-19 to 1-15 in the AIB Munster Club Intermediate Hurling Championship Semi-Final on Sunday November 19th at Corofin. \n\nMatch Highlights \n\nHIGHLIGHTS | Watch as @CorofinGAAClub progress to Munster Club IHC Final with impressive victory over @DromAthlaccaGAA. @streamsporti | @aib_GAA https://t.co/cmVCXt5kRF \n— Munster GAA (@MunsterGAA) November 19\, 2023 \n  \n\nLimerick champions Dromin-Athlacca lose out to Corofin in Munster club IHC semi-final \nReport by John Reddington for the Irish Examiner newspaper \nA GOAL conceded just as they were making a late attempt to bridge the gap brought an end to Dromin-Athlacca’s intermediate hurling season as they crashed out of the Munster club intermediate hurling championship after suffering a 1-19 to 1-15 defeat to Corofin\, of Clare\, in their semi-final played in Corofin on Sunday afternoon.  \nDespite trailing from the first minute\, it had looked up to that point that the Limerick champions might finally get their noses in front of the Clare representatives. \nHowever\, their chances of exploiting the gusting wind at their backs on the run-in were severely affected by going a man down to a straight red card right on the end of regulation time and\, while they still had another four minutes to bridge the gap\, the extra pair of legs allowed the home defence to hold them at bay. \nIn the end\, the result boiled down to Corofin’s greater ability to score from play where they picked off fourteen points as opposed to Dromin-Athlacca\, who relied heavily on the free-taking of county star Dave Reidy\, who accounted for six. \nHad Dromin-Athlacca prevailed\, they would have thanked a soft goal just before the break that reduced Corofin’s lead of five points back to two but\, between the determination of opposing full-back line and the sporadic showers\, they could never build up enough momentum to get ahead. \nThe conditions gave Corofin the range to strike straight from the throw-in and\, although Gearóid Cahill’s point was quickly replied to by scores from Jack Fitzgibbon\, James Organ\, Micheál Kelly\, Diarmuid Cahill and Organ again gave the home side a lead of substance. \nHowever\, after two Dave Reidy frees halved the gap by the quarter hour mark\, another burst of scores from Gearóid Cahill and Gearóid Kelly\, from a free and from play\, gave Corofin some reward from the conditions. \nThe Banner side pressed forward to rebuild their lead in the four added minutes but their only reward was Organ’s strike leaving them leading 0-11 to 1-6 at the break. \nFitzgibbon pointed right from the restart\, but Diarmuid Cahill made Corofin’s intentions clear when immediately striking back with a pair of individual points before Kelly replied to Reidy’s free. \nTwo more Reidy frees brought the gap back to the minimum and Dromin-Althlacca missed a great chance to finally hit the front when blowing the chance of punishing a defensive fumble. \nKelly added another point for the Clare champions to leave the hosts back leading by two before Micheál Kelly blasted Dromin-Athlacca’s ambitions apart by racing in through the challenges from the left\, before drilling the sliotar in the far corner of the net from the tightest of angles. \nAthlacca pulled themselves together for a final push and drew a pair of frees for Reidy to punish with points. While they fell behind again in extra time\, two pointed frees from inside his 65 by the excellent Alan Fenton had them back in a lead they would not lose. \nIt was 2-19 to 2-17 when goalkeeper Jack Barry – scorer of three points – made a great save to deny Cormac White. Then his brother Colm\, excellent at full-back throughout\, won a 40-60 ball and fed James Kearney\, who in turn found Oscar Hallihan for a point. It was the first time they led by three and Leon Doocey and Fenton ensured they would not be denied. \nA clash with Corofin in the final awaits on the first weekend of December. \nPlaying with the strong breeze\, Crotta O’Neills started well\, even allowing for some cheap wides\, and they had established a 0-5 to 0-2 lead before an excellent diagonal ball by Barry Mahony was won by Jordan Conway\, who won possession and produced a great finish. \nThe same player added a point before David Morrison and Alan Fenton reduced the gap. Morrison’s second on 26 minutes left it 1-6 to 0-5 but Crotta replied with an unanswered 1-2. \nThe goal came as a quick free caught Castlelyons unaware\, with Seán Weir setting up Seánie McElligott for an easy finish. As the game moved into the last of the allotted four minutes of added time\, it was 2-9 to 0-6 but great work from Niall O’Leary led to a chance for Fenton\, who did brilliantly to create space and fire to the net. In hindsight\, it was a huge score. \nWeir did the end the half’s scoring for Crotta but\, given the strength of the elements\, seven points was not beyond Castlelyons. They had two points on the resumption – goalkeeper Jack Barry with one from play and a Fenton free – but other opportunities were wasted. \nAfter a great Crotta score by Shane Nolan\, Barry sent a puckout directly over the bar and\, though McElligott replied to make it 2-12 to 1-9\, another Barry restart was touched to the net by Leon Doocey. \nDown by three\, they had the next four points\, with Fenton’s free from halfway putting them ahead for the first time since the opening minutes. Crotta didn’t wilt though and Shane Nolan had them level at 2-14 each as the five minutes of injury time began. \nDoocey might have won it with a late Castlelyons goal\, his shot deflected out by goalkeeper Adam O’Sullivan. DESCRIPTION:Clonlara (Clare) defeated Kiladangan (Tipperary) by 0-23 to 1-19 in the AIB Munster Club Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Final on Sunday November 19th at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles.  \n\n\nREPORT: Diarmuid Stritch's last gasp point proved to be the decisive score as @clonlaragaaclub defeated @KiladanganGAA in the @AIB_GAA @MunsterGAA Club SHC #GAA \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) November 19\, 2023 \n  \nAIB Munster Club SHC: Clonlara edge out Kiladangan \nClonlara 0-23 Kiladangan 1-19 \nReport By Shane Brophy at FBD Semple Stadium for GAA.ie \nA Diarmuid Stritch point five minutes into added time saw Clonlara to victory over a Kiladangan side that finished with 13 men in a pulsating Munster Club Senior Hurling semi-final at FBD Semple Stadium. \nSecond half red cards for Dan O’Meara and Sean Hayes looked to have ended Kiladangan’s hopes and with newly crowned All Star John Conlon bringing his tally to four from play\, Clonlara were three points to the good on 55 minutes. \nThen Kiladangan produced a storming response landing five points on the bounce to take a two point lead going into the five minutes of added time but Clonlara themselves had resolve with Aidan Moriarty\, sub Cian Moriarty and Stritch landing the decisive scores\, with the latter having been signalled to be subbed off shortly before but the management changed their mind\, to their ultimate favour. \nBoth sides were quick out of the blocks with Billy Seymour and Colm Galvin pointing inside the opening minute but backed by a strong breeze and wing forward Colm O’Meara to the fire\, the visitors were the first to get into the ascendency with Michael O’Loughlin converting the first of six placed balls in the first half before All Star centre back John Conlon landed two from play inside a minute. \nBryan McLoughney stopped the bleeding for Kiladangan on ten minutes with a point but was subbed off shortly after with a hamstring injury. However\, this was a meeting of two powerhouses of Munster. \nThere was a late revival from Na Piarsaigh\, who trailing by six in a surprisingly low scoring contest\, found a late 1-2 and went close to a second goal\, which may have forced extra-time. Shane O’Neill’s side\, who retained their Limerick crown recently\, will be frustrated they didn’t gear anywhere near their best.The games first score from play was after two minutes from Will Henn\, but such avenues to the scoreboard were at a premium.Pauric Mahony was the scorer in chief early on for Darragh O’Sullivan’s men. He scored their first three points – with two frees and a 65 putting them into a 13th minute lead\, of just a point. \nRonan Power was accurate with an effort from halfway\, as the men in red-and-black nailed just one of two from play in the opening 30 minutes. \nIt was a four-point game with Hutchinson got his name on the scoresheet in the 22nd minute\, this after a typically surging run from Kevin Mahony. \nThe Gunners held a slender half-time lead\, 0-7 to 0-6 after Ronan Lynch landed two frees and a 65 to close the half. Both sides struggled with the elements with Na Piarsaigh backed by the strong Shannonside breeze. They would end the half with five wides\, compared to just one from the Waterford champions. \nShane O’Neill will have been as frustrated by a number of blocked efforts for points from his forwards. That said\, a fine Shane Dowling save from Hutchinson and a Mike Casey block on the same player\, meant they didn’t concede an early goal.\nMahony scored the opening brace of the second half to put three between them once more. \nBefore an official attendance of 3\,627\, the Waterford men stepped on the gas with six points on the bounce. Among those was sub Harry Ruddle\, while Power contributed among a Mahony’s efforts. \nLynch did eventually cut the gap to six with a brace of frees\, but they hadn’t scored from play in over 40 minutes. \nA goal\, pulled to the net entering stoppage time\, arrived from the stick of poacher\, Adrian Breen. After being frustrated in the opening few minutes\, once the green and gold got motoring there was going to be one winner. They had some very impressive performers all over the pitch and the Muskerry side will be full of confidence going into the final.  \nIt was a slow burner with Limerick side Feenagh-Kilmeedy retreating into their shell. After patient build up play Kilmurry kicked the first score after five minutes when Liam Wall raised a white flag. \nWall kicked another point four minutes later before Lawerence Aisling had a goal opportunity but he sliced his effort wide from close-range. \nPoints from Rory Duggan\, Brian Hinchion and Seán Warren gave Kilmurry a 0-5 to 0-0 advantage after 15 minutes. \nTwo Warren white flags and a super Ryan Leahy effort pushed the Muskerry side 0-8 to 0-0 clear after 23 minutes. Feenagh-Kilmeedy created practically nothing in that period but got their first score courtesy of a Colm Ryan white flag five minutes before the interval. \nThere was just the one score in the closing stages of the opening 30 minutes which came from the boot of Warren\, a brilliant point\, 0-9 to 0-1 at half-time.  \nThe one way traffic continued in the second-half\, Kilmurry scored 1-1 without reply inside the first five minutes of the new half. Wall with the goal\, a great finish into the roof of the net\, 1-10 to 0-1. \nKilmurry were reduced to 14 players for ten minutes when Gearóid O’Mahony received a black-card after 38 minutes. Ryan pointed from a free for Feenagh-Kilmeedy before Kilmurry bagged their second goal through Wall following a pass from sub Padraig Berhanu\, 2-10 to 0-2 after 47 minutes. \nWith five minutes remaining Kilmurry led by 16 points\, 2-12 to 0-2. DESCRIPTION:Dingle (Kerry) defeated Clonmel Commercials (Tipperary) by 0-13 to 0-10 in the AIB Munster GAA Club Senior Football Championship Semi-Final on Sunday November 26th at FBD Semple Stadium Thurles. \n\nMatch Highlights \n\nHIGHLIGHTS | Watch as @DingleGAA secure Munster SFC final berth with three-point win over @CommercialsGAA. @streamsporti | @AIB_GAA https://t.co/CSXpsMyimO \n— Munster GAA (@MunsterGAA) November 26\, 2023 \n  \n\n\nREPORT: @DingleGAA survived a tough @AIB_GAA @MunsterGAA Club SFC test against @CommercialsGAA #GAA \n— The GAA (@officialgaa) November 26\, 2023 \n  \nAIB Munster Club SFC: Dingle survive Commercials test \nDingle 0-13 Clonmel Commercials 0-10 \nReport By Noel Dundon at FBD Semple Stadium for GAA.ie \nDylan Geaney was the toast of Dingle as they stepped forward to the AIB Munster Club senior football final following a hard fought victory over Tipperary champions Clonmel Commercials. \nGeaney kicked five points in a very tight game and his accuracy was the difference between the sides as he tormented the Clonmel rearguard all the way through. \nFor all the trouble which Geaney caused them though\, Commercials were in the contest right to the very death and tried all in their power to work a game saving goal\, but it wasn’t to happen for them and their efforts came up just short. \nIt was a dull\, damp afternoon in FBD Semple Stadium and it made for tricky underfoot conditions for the players with the slippy ball playing havoc with much of the handling. \nThe sizeable Dingle faithful in the attendance had made the long journey to Thurles in anticipation of progression to the Munster final\, but they knew the kind of threat posed by the Tipperary champions who had already accounted for the Limerick champs\, Newcastle West in the quarter final tie at the same venue\, two weeks previously. \nThere was nothing between the sides in the first half – a point at most separating them all the way through. And\, that was to be the margin at the break too with Commercials holding a slender 0-5 to 0-4 lead\, though perhaps rather fortunate to have had the lead. \nDingle had created a number of opportunities which they failed to take\, but on the other hand Commercials had two goal chances which went abegging too – keeper Gavin Curran twice denying Sean O’Connor and Colman Kennedy. \nThe Dingle forward division which had created scores through Matthew Flaherty (2)\, Dylan Geaney\, and Paul Geaney were rather unfortunate to have seen a number of chances coming off the upright in the first half thereby contributing to their five wides. \nAt the other end Commercials were more economical with just one wide and points from Seanie O’Connor (2)\, Jack Kennedy\, Ross Peters and a fine score from Colman Kennedy which gave them the lead at the break. \nIt was very much anyone’s game at the break – a goal would be a major score in the tie\, but alas one was not to come. A brilliant Billy Power goal put underdogs Rathgormack four points ahead after 17 minutes\, but ‘Haven held their nerve to set up a provincial showdown with Dingle next month.  \nRathgormack took the field without county players Conor Murray who is away in New Zealand and the suspended Michael Curry. They also lost defender Cathal Crowch to a hamstring injury. \nSeven first half points from the Hurleys (four for Michael and three for Brian) saw Castlehaven recover from a slow start to lead 0-8 to 1-2 at the break. \nFrees from Brian Hurley and Jason Curry came up short before Adam Murray split the uprights in the sixth minute for the Waterford champions. Brian Hurley then found his brother Michael who kicked the equaliser. \nOn nine minutes\, Stephen Curry beat three Castlehaven defenders and slipped the ball to Billy Power who slammed the ball to the bottom corner of the net (1-1 to 0-1). A Jason Gleeson free gave the underdogs a four point advantage. \nMichael and Brian Hurley raised white flags at the other end before Cathal Maguire burst past five Rathgormack defenders. \nOn 24 minutes\, a full length block from Tom Walsh denied Brian Hurley a goal. The Cork attacker pointed the subsequent 45. Michael Hurley then cut in from the scoreboard and sent over his third point off his right boot. Haven ahead for the first time with 27 minutes on the clock (0-6 to 1-2). Michael and Brian Hurley struck again in injury time for the Cork team. Seven points without response. \nRathgormack squandered three point chances at the start of the second period. On 36 minutes\, Conor Cahlane combined with substitute Conor O’Driscoll and rattled the crossbar. Brian Hurley pointed the resultant free. Jason Curry knocked over a free at the other end. Rathgormack’s first point in 26 minutes. \nEntering the last quarter\, Rory Maguire found Sean Browne who blasted over (0-10 to 1-3). Jason Gleeson curled over a free in response. Jason Curry then dummied and sliced over a beauty with the outside of his right. Two point game. \nA Brian Hurley free and a Mark Collins point from play put daylight between the teams. And be assured\, victories like this taste so sweet\, especially for the locals who turned out in force. \nMaidhcí Ó Duinnín’s late scoring burst was a key factor. \nOverall\, Cill na Martra spared no effort in getting the desired result\, showing so much spirit and desire\, especially their rearguard who shaped up as a formidable unit with three of them getting on the scoresheet. \nCill na Martra led 0-6 to 0-4 at the break. \nBut Milltown-Castlemaine – who looked a bit out of sorts after their county final a week earlier – thundered into the contest with unanswered points from Gavin Horan\, Éanna O’Connor\, Cillian Burke and Cathal Moriarty to lead. \nTwice the teams drew level\, it was 0-9 each at the three-quarter mark. \nCrucially the momentum swung with Cill na Martra. \nMicheál Ó Deasúna was introduced at half-time and he kicked a couple of points. \nMaidhcí Ó Duinnín got them up and running again.
