Munster GAA Hurling Activity Days 2012

Semple Stadium Thurles

The Munster GAA Hurling Activity Days in Semple Stadium, Thurles were held on August 9th and 10th. Under 12 hurling teams from clubs all over the province tested their skills on the sod of the famous stadium. Their hosts for the day were Brendan Maher (Tiobrad Arainn) and Brendan Bugler (An Clar), who showed them around the stadium and gave them and idea what it is like to play Munster Hurling Championship matches on the hallowed turf.

The clubs that provided teams over the 2 days included – Tulla, South Liberties, Bride Rovers, Newport, De La Salle, Scarriff/Ogonnelloe, Adare, Eire Óg (Cork), Roanmore, Whitegate, Midleton, South Kerry, Tramore, Sarsfileds, Clonea, Newmarket on Fergus, Tracton, Charleville, St Mollerans, Crosshaven, Bruff, Roscrea, Newcastlewest, St Finbarrs, Borrisoleigh, Portlaw, Broadford, Knockshegowna, Clondrohid, Lixnaw, Bodyke, Rosegreen, Mayfield, Ferrybank, O’Callaghans Mills, Moyle Rovers, Passage West, Butlerstown, Kileedy, Shamrock Gaels, Clonmel Óg, Kildorrery, St Patricks (Limerick), Portroe, St Mary’s (Cork), Durlas Óg
