Munster GAA Child Development Programme
Munster GAA is delighted to introduce its new Club Nursery – Programme. This was formally launched by the Cathaoirleach of Comhairle na Mumhan CLG Sean Breathnach in Mallow GAA Pavilion on Tuesday November 23rd 2010.
This exciting new project forms a key element in our commitment to the clubs of the Province into the future. It entails strategically planned visits to clubs, supporting them in coach education, and club structure development while at the same time providing them with the tools and backup to up-skill their own personnel.
Clubs in the project will receive at least five visits from the qualified Games Development Administrators within their own county in the first year, and other supports will be offered as part of the package. A club will continue to avail of these supports for as long as is necessary provided the club remains within the project. It is intended to offer this constructive support to all clubs of the Province over the next five years.
County Coaching Officers, County Development Officers, County PROs, County Youth Officers will all play a vital role in ensuring the success of the project. It is being managed through a sub- committee of the Munster Coaching and Games Development Committee under the Chairmanship of John Landers with Pat O Shea acting as runaí. Denis Bohane of Cork is also responsible for the management of this project.
