Kerry 2-19 London 0-17

Monday March 22 2010

A free-scoring final quarter from Kerry saw them maintain their 100pc record at a sunny Ruislip. The visitors’ unbeaten streak looked under threat as a resurgent London led by three points at the midway point of the second half. However, Kerry outscored their hosts by 2-6 to 0-1 in the final 17 minutes — substitute Mike Conway and John Mike Dooley grabbing the goals. Inspired by the superb Martin Finn, London led by four points at the break, but in the second they struggled for scores from open play. Kerry began to claw back London’s advantage and on 55 minutes took the lead for the first time, Dooley set up Conway for an easy finish. Dooley capped a superb comeback with a second goal six minutes from time.
