Regulations & Rules for Draws

Senior Club Championships

  1. In the First Round (Quarter Finals) draw the first team drawn has home venue advantage, subject to the venue meeting the requirements of the Council Finance & Management Sub-Committee (as stated below).
  2. Home advantage does not automatically mean the home venue of the participating team drawn for home advantage unless it meets the requirements of the Management and Finance sub-committee of the Council. The Management and Finance sub-Committee of the Council reserve the right to select a venue for any game should a chosen venue by a participating club not meet these requirements. The host venue must provide the following:
    1. i) A playing surface suitable and safe for our players.
    2. ii) Permanent fencing (enclosed) around playing area.
    3. iii) Adequate facilities to council to manage event including taking a gate.
    4. iv) Covered accommodation for patrons.
    5. Only if a neutral venue is needed at short notice can these conditions be set aside by the Management and Finance sub-committee
  3. The two teams who received Byes in the First Round cannot meet one another in  the semi-final draw
  4. A First Round (Quarter Final) team winner who travelled away in a first round game automatically gets home venue advantage, subject to the venue meeting the requirements of the Council Management & Finance Sub-Committee, for the semi-final game against the (Bye) team drawn to play them in the semi-final.
  5. If the First Round (Quarter Final) team winner enjoyed home venue advantage in the First Round game the semi-final venue is determined on the toss of a coin at the meeting of the Provincial CCC when the draws are made. .
  6. In the event of a draw in any game up to the final of the championship extra time shall be played (2 periods of 10 minutes each. In the event of a draw after extra time a replay shall be fixed with home venue alternating, subject to the venue meeting the requirements of the Council Management and Finance Sub-Committee.
  7. The final is played at a neutral club venue.
  8. The Management & Finance sub-Committee of the Council shall through an Runaí decide on matters relevant to all fixtures including venues, fixture postponements and event management. The games shall be fixed for Sundays however the management and Finance committee of the Council may decide that particular games may be played on other days for logistical reasons.
  9. Normal match regulations to apply in accordance with National Regulations
