An Under 12 Hurling Blitz involving teams from all the Munster counties will take place in Dr. Morris Park Thurles on Saturday morning from 11:00am.

A special mass to for the Gaelic Athletic Association will take place on Saturday July 11th at 7:30pm in Thurles Cathedral.

A special Munster Final “Night at the Dogs” will be held from 8:30pm at Thurles Greyhound Stadium on Saturday July 11th. Half price admission to patrons wearing their County GAA jersey.

Open Air Entertainment – 125th Anniversary Celebrations

From 8:30pm, there will be Open Air Entertainment on offer for all to enjoy in Liberty Square Thurles.

This will include the launch of the new Tipperary GAA 12 Track CD featuring the winning GAA Supporter’s Song ‘The Mighty Blue and Gold’.

A Symbolic Relay will take place on Saturday July 11th beginning at the Cusack GAA Centre in Carron County Clare at 12:00pm before arriving in Liberty Square Thurles on that evening at 9:00pm

12.00noon: Leaving Cusacks GAA Carron, and carried through clubs in Co.Clare.

3.00pm: Hand over at Na Piarsaigh and carried thro’ Limk City by Limk Clubs.

6.00pm: Hand over to Tipp at Finnegans and carried by Tipp clubs to Thurles.

9.00pm: Arrival of torch in Liberty Square, carried in Symbolic Relay as follows:

Presentation of Munster Senior Hurling Final winning captains – 125th Anniversary Celebrations

The Munster Senior Hurling Final winning captains from 1984 to 2008 will be presented at half-time of the Munster Senior Hurling Final.

Guinness Hurling Supporters Night in Thurles

Guinness® continue their Hurling Supporters Nights with a Tipperary date

Inside Hurling coming to Hayes Hotel, Thurles, Thursday 2nd July
Guinness will continue their summer of celebration with a Tipperary Hurling Supporters Event on Thursday 2nd July at 7.30pm in Hayes Hotel, Thurles.

Tipperary Hurling Fans will be able to debate the issues and talk about the GAA Hurling championship in the company of former Tipperary greats Declan Carr, Bobby Ryan and Pat Fox as well as Manager Liam Sheedy and two members of the squad.

MC for the evening is Today FM’s Paul Collins.

The night will run similar to a “championship” preview format, where the panel will analyse previous GAA Hurling championship games and discuss upcoming fixtures.

Supporters will also be able to engage in a Q&A session with the players, and there will be plenty of prizes on offer on the night from match tickets to signed jerseys and special hurling t-shirts.

Tickets for the supporter’s night are free, but strictly limited to 250 supporters, so to book your place, email guinnesshurling@ihurling.com

All supporters and their guests must be over 18, and I.D will be required on the night.

Munster TG4 Intermediate Ladies Gaelic football final – Clare v Waterford

The Munster TG4 Senior and Intermediate Ladies Gaelic football finals will be held on Saturday next July 4th at Bruff G.A.A grounds County Limerick.

Intermediate – 5:15pm – Clare v Waterford

Senior 7.30pm – Cork v Kerry

The Intermediate tie pairs Clare the reigning Munster champions with Waterford who dropped down from the senior grade of 2008. The Banner County piped in last years All Ireland by Tipperary will want to prove this is there year and with their Minor team defeating Cork in the Provincial final should ooze with confidence. Eimear Considine will lead the attack and she also played a significant role with Munster earlier on this year. Waterford on the other side have a lot of experience and will look on this fixture with some caution they also have introduced a number of players and will be led by Michelle Ryan of the Ballymacarbry club.

Mini games involving all four Counties will take place at half time of both games giving the opportunity to forty young girls to represent their respective Counties on the biggest day of the Provincial calendar. The referees of the mini games have come through the Grab Your Whistle Programme and this should help kick start their refereeing careers.

A great evenings entertainment is guaranteed at Bruff and followers of Ladies Gaelic football are asked to come out and support the game on Saturday next July 4th with proceedings getting underway at 5.15pm.
