Co-Op Superstores teams up with Munster GAA as sponsor for a 2nd year

The opening round of the upcoming Co- Op Superstores Munster Hurling League will see a repeat of last year’s final, with Cork taking on Limerick in Mallow on Saturday December 30th. Clare will play Kerry in LIT on the same date.

Commenting at the launch of the competition, which took place at Dairygold’s Nutritionals Campus in Mallow, Munster Council Chairman Jerry O Sullivan said: “I am pleased that the Munster Council is in a position to facilitate these 4 counties in organising a competition that will provide them with a great opportunity to prepare for the very competitive Allianz Leagues. I am delighted to welcome Co-Op Superstores as the competition sponsor once again. I thank them for their continued support and look forward to working with them in the months ahead.”

The launch was attended by Cork Senior Team Manager, John Meyler, Kerry Senior Team Manager, Fintan O’ Connor, Limerick Senior Team Manager John Kiely and Clare selector Jimmy Browne. They were joined by players Seamus Harnedy (Cork), Dan Morrissey (Limerick) and Shane O’Donnell (Clare) and from Munster Council GAA Jerry O’Sullivan, (Chairman), Simon Moroney (Secretary) and Kieran Leddy (Operations Manager).
