Munster GAA Inter-Provincial Selectors 2012

Munster GAA have confirmed Liam Sheedy (Tipperary) and Ger O’Sullivan (Cork) as the managers of the Munster Hurling and Football teams respectively ahead of the M Donnelly Inter-Provincial semi-finals.

Liam Sheedy’s management team will include selectors Stephen Frampton (Waterford) and James O’Connor (Clare). Former Tipperary Senior Hurling coach Eamon O’Shea will be involved in a coaching capacity in advance of the Hurling semi-final clash against Leinster on Sunday February 19th at Nowlan Park Kilkenny. Liam Sheedy’s managerial CV with his native Tipperary includes All-Ireland titles at Senior, Intermediate and Minor level. Munster have won the Inter-Provincial Hurling title on a record 44 occasions with John Mullane (Waterford) captaining the province to their last title in 2007.

Ger O’Sullivan (Cork) will include Maurice Horan (Limerick) and John Kennedy (Kerry) as his selectors for the Football semi-final meeting with Leinster on Sunday February 19th at Parnell Park Dublin. Ger managed the Munster Footballers to their last success in the inter-provincial competition in 2008 when captained by Nicholas Murphy (Cork). Ger O’Sullivan from the Dromtarriffe club has won National League, Munster and All-Ireland honours as a selector with Cork under Conor Counihan in recent years. Munster have won the Inter-Provincial Football title on 15 occasions.
