Munster L.G.F.A. Under 13 Development squad blitz

Rathkeale plays host to some fine football.

Last Saturday saw in excess of 260 girls converge on the fantastic facilities in Mick Neville Park Rathkeale for the Munster under 13 Development Squad blitz. With each county very well represented, 14 teams in total provided a feast of football for the large crowd in attendance. This blitz was a culmination of 10 weeks of hard work on the part of coordinators, players and coaches and offered the players a chance to display many of the key skills and techniques they have been developing over that time. While all games were non-competitive, all teams played with determination, commitment and respect for all others in a spirit that was encouraged from the outset. Referees from all over the province were on hand to assist on the day.

These players will now return to their clubs in their respective counties in the hope that they will have gained valuable confidence and skills so that they can assist their clubs progress in the coming months.

Many thanks to all those who assisted in making the day a great success, especially to the girls who represented themselves so well.
