Munster Poc Fada Final

Stevie Brenner (De La Salle, Waterford) won the 2011 Munster Puck Fada competition held at Thurles Racecourse on Saturday 9th July.

Afterwards, Brenner received the Tommy Quaid Perpetual Cup from Robert Frost, vice-chairperson of the Munster Council.

Stevie Brenner goes forward to the All – Ireland Puck Fada competition on the Cooley Mountains on Saturday 30th July.

Poc Fada na Mumhan 2011 will take place in Thurles Racecourse on 9th July. There will be competitions for Senior and Under 16 Hurlers and Senior Camogie Players. One representative per county will participates and County winners will be decided upon in advance.

Each Provincial Council makes a very determined effort to ensure that their respective Provincial Finals are highly competitive for the individual County representatives at both Adult and Under 16 Boys level and deserve great credit for their support and co-operation.

Cumann Camogaiochta na naGael organise the Ladies Poc Fada in conjunction with the Provincial Councils .

Once again we look forward to another three competitive Finals [ Poc Fada , Under 16 Poc Fada and Camogie Poc Fada ] at Annaverna Mountain near Dundalk on Saturday , 30th.
